Atlus and Kura Sushi are teaming up to bring the Persona series into the revolving sushi bar experience, and if you’ve been following the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations this year, this is exactly the kind of collab you’d expect. The partnership has officially been announced, though full details like the exact start date and menu item reveals are still being held back for now.

Here’s everything confirmed so far and what you can reasonably expect based on how these Kura Sushi collabs typically work.

What Is the Persona x Kura Sushi Collab?

Kura Sushi is a Japanese-origin revolving sushi chain with over 80 locations across the United States. If you’ve never been, the concept is simple: plates of sushi roll past you on a conveyor belt, you grab what you want, and the restaurant tracks how many plates you’ve eaten. After hitting certain plate counts, you get to spin the “Bikkura Pon” capsule machine at your table for a randomized prize — think gacha, but you’re earning spins by eating sushi.

The Persona collab is built around this exact system. Fans of the franchise can head in, rack up plates, and earn exclusive Persona-themed prizes through the Bikkura Pon machine. On top of that, specially themed menu items will be available for the duration of the campaign, though Kura Sushi hasn’t shown what those look like yet.

Bikkura Pon Prize Details: What You Can Get and How to Earn It

The prize pool spans Persona 3, 4, and 5, with a few nods to the earlier games in the series as well. Here’s the breakdown of what’s been confirmed so far:

    • Three acrylic charms featuring the protagonists of Persona 3, 4, and 5
    • Three can badges featuring the mascots of each game (Koromaru and Co., Teddie, and Morgana)
    • Three-piece sticker sets featuring characters from across the wider Persona series

As for how you earn them, the Bikkura Pon prizes unlock at the following plate counts:

    • 15 plates — first prize spin
    • 25 plates — second prize spin
    • Every 15 plates after that — additional spins keep coming

If you’d rather not leave your prize to chance, you can also purchase items directly without going through the machine. Prices haven’t been announced yet, but that option is confirmed to exist.

Kura Sushi also typically runs a separate spending-based giveaway during collabs — things like limited lunch boxes, cups, or towels awarded based on total dining spend — but nothing along those lines has been officially revealed for this one yet.

    When Does It Start?

Kura Sushi hasn’t locked in a start date publicly, but the current Honkai: Star Rail collaboration at the restaurant runs until July 31, which makes August 1 a very likely kickoff date for the Persona event. That lines up with how the chain has historically managed back-to-back collabs, rolling one in right as the previous one wraps up.

Keep an eye on the official Kura Sushi Persona collaboration page for the confirmed launch date and full menu reveals.

Why This Collab Makes Sense Right Now

Persona’s 30th anniversary has been going hard all year. The big marquee moments were the official Persona 6 teaser reveal and the Persona 4 Revival remake getting a confirmed February 18, 2027 release date, both dropped at the Xbox Games Showcase in June. But Atlus hasn’t just been sitting on those two announcements — the year has been packed with merchandise drops, clothing collabs, and crossovers.

On the crossover front, Persona 5 already kicked off a collab with Call of Duty: Mobile in July, and leakers have been pointing at a Persona 5 x Fortnite collab arriving in Chapter 7 Season 4 — a claim backed by some of the most reliable names in the Fortnite leak scene. A potential Rocket League crossover has also been floated by the same sources. Add the Kura Sushi collab to that list and it’s clear Atlus is playing the long game with the anniversary, keeping the series visible all the way through December.

A jazz cover album for the franchise is also still expected to drop later this year, so there’s genuinely more to come.

What’s Next for Persona Beyond the Anniversary

Once 2026 wraps up, the franchise isn’t slowing down. Persona 4 Revival hits in February 2027, and leaks have floated the idea that Persona 6 could potentially land in the same year as well, though nothing beyond the teaser trailer has been officially confirmed on that front. Netflix also has a Persona live-action series in development, which adds another angle to how far outside of gaming the franchise is now pushing.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is also still receiving regular updates, so if you’re looking for something to play while waiting for Revival, that’s a solid option to keep you busy.
