When Is the March 2026 Community Day?

Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. That’s your main three-hour window to catch as many Scorbunny as possible. Several bonuses extend further — all the way to 9:00 PM local time — so don’t log off the second the clock hits 5!

The Exclusive Moves: Blast Burn & Pyro Ball

This is the part that matters most for competitive players. Evolve Raboot into Cinderace anytime during the event — or up to four hours after it ends (before 9:00 PM) — and your Cinderace will automatically learn the Charged Attack Blast Burn, the signature Community Day move for Fire-type starters.

Brand new this event, Pyro Ball is also being added to Cinderace’s move pool. It deals 75 Power in Trainer Battles and a powerful 150 Power in Gym battles and Raids, making it a genuine option for Cinderace going forward.

All the Free Event Bonuses

No spending required to enjoy these perks on March 14:

  • 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
  • 2× Candy XL chance for Trainers level 31 and up
  • 3-hour Incense duration (excludes Daily Adventure Incense)
  • 1-hour Lure Modules with a chance to attract Scorbunny (active 2 PM – 9 PM)
  • One additional Special Trade — maximum of two trades for the day (2 PM – 9 PM)
  • 50% less Stardust on all trades (2 PM – 9 PM)

Is the $1.99 Special Research Ticket Worth It?

For two dollars, you unlock a set of Community Day-exclusive story quests. Finish them and you’ll receive three guaranteed Scorbunny encounters with a Special Background, one Premium Battle Pass, and one Rare Candy XL. Even without the paid ticket, free Field Research quests at PokéStops will reward Ultra Balls, Stardust, and additional Scorbunny encounters throughout the event.

Shiny Scorbunny & Special Backgrounds

Shiny hunters will be happy — your odds of finding a Shiny Scorbunny jump to approximately 1 in 20 during the three-hour window. You may also encounter Scorbunny with a Special Background, a cosmetic feature introduced for Community Day Pokémon earlier this year. Lure Modules active between 2 PM and 9 PM will continue pulling in Scorbunny — including shinies — well past the main event hours.

The Social Side: Find Your Local Community

Community Days were built for getting outside and playing with others. Pokémon GO’s Community Day map highlights parks and popular meetup spots in your area, and Community Ambassadors partnered with Niantic host in-person events with bonus Timed Research and premium item rewards. It’s worth checking whether one is happening near you.

What’s Coming Next?

Already thinking ahead? The next Community Days are scheduled for April 11 and May 9, 2026, with a Community Day Classic on May 16, 2026.
