TL;DR — Scorbunny Community Day runs March 14, 2026 from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. Shiny Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace all make their debut today. Evolve Raboot into Cinderace during the event or up to four hours after to get Blast Burn. Pyro Ball also unlocks for Cinderace from today onwards. Bonuses include 1/4 hatch distance, 2x catch candy, and extended Lures until 9 PM.
When Is Scorbunny Community Day in Pokémon Go?
Scorbunny Community Day takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Scorbunny will appear more frequently in the wild throughout the event, and if you’re lucky you might encounter a shiny one — or even one with a Special Background.
One correction worth noting — the original article mentioned Scorbunny is a Gen 8 Pokémon, which is accurate, but it is not a Galarian regional variant. It’s simply a Galar region starter from Generation 8. Worth keeping that straight before you go hunting.
There will be no special bonus Raid battles during March 2026’s Community Day, and no Community Day exclusive stickers either. So don’t waste time waiting around gyms expecting a post-event raid window — that’s been quietly dropped this cycle.
How to Get Shiny Scorbunny
Shiny Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace are all making their debut as part of the March 2026 Community Day. The odds of encountering a shiny Scorbunny during the event are 1 in 20, or roughly 5%. That’s a solid rate — you should be picking up multiple shinies if you stay active for the full three hours.
As for how the shinies look: shiny Scorbunny is a subtle change — a slightly washed-out, sun-bleached tone that’s easy to miss in bright weather. Shiny Raboot does better, inverting two of its main colours for a noticeably different look. Shiny Cinderace is the standout of the three — it swaps its usual colour scheme for a metallic grey and orange combination, almost like an away kit.
Shiny Gigantamax Cinderace is also technically releasing today, though its shiny differences are minimal — slightly orange trousers and grey ears. Still, if you already have a Gigantamax Cinderace, this event is the easiest way to max out its CP or unlock its Max Moves. Any Max Scorbunny you encounter going forward can also be shiny.
Keep tapping every Scorbunny you see and watch for the sparkle animation and the shiny icon next to its name. Use an Incense to boost spawn numbers, and don’t forget to take AR snapshots during the event — Scorbunny will photobomb your pictures.

Scorbunny Perfect IV CP — What to Look For
March Community Day is your best window to lock in a 100% IV Scorbunny. The perfect stats you’re hunting are 15 Attack / 15 Defense / 15 HP. In wild encounters, Scorbunny can be caught from Level 1 to 30, and from Level 6 to 35 when weather boosted in Sunny conditions.
For trainers at Level 30 or above, here are the CP values to look for:
- Level 30 (wild CP maximum) — 940 CP
- Level 35 (weather-boosted maximum) — 1019 CP
For Scorbunny caught as Research Task rewards, the perfect IV CP to remember is 470 CP, since research-caught Pokémon are always locked to a fixed level.
Scorbunny Community Day Moves — Blast Burn & Pyro Ball
This Community Day’s featured attack is the Fire-type Charged Attack Blast Burn. Evolve Raboot into Cinderace during the event or up to four hours afterwards to get a Cinderace that knows Blast Burn. Additionally, starting this Community Day, Cinderace will be able to learn the Charged Attack Pyro Ball.
The key difference between the two: Blast Burn is a legacy move tied strictly to the evolution window. Pyro Ball, on the other hand, is permanently available to Cinderace from this Community Day onwards — meaning you can teach it to any Cinderace going forward using an Elite Charged TM if you miss today’s window.
Wait until the end of your play session to evolve so you’re locking in the best IVs you’ve collected throughout the day.
Best Cinderace Moveset in Pokémon Go
Cinderace is a pure Fire-type attacker with decent offensive output but weak defensive stats, so don’t expect it to dominate PvP any time soon. It resists six different types impressively, but its low bulk holds it back in extended battles.
For PvE and raids, stick with Fire Spin as your Fast Move and Pyro Ball as your primary Charged Move. Blast Burn is also solid, but Pyro Ball edges it out in most situations. G-Max Cinderace is currently the top Fire attacker in Max Battles, making this Community Day an excellent opportunity to stock up on Candy and XL Candy to power up your G-Max Cinderace and unlock its Max Moves.
Here’s the full moveset for reference:
Fast Moves
- Fire Spin (Fire)
- Tackle (Normal)
Charged Moves
- Blast Burn (Legacy, Fire)
- Pyro Ball (Fire)
- Flamethrower (Fire)
- Flame Charge (Fire)
- Focus Blast (Fighting)
Quick correction from the original article — Focus Blast is a Fighting-type move, not Fire-type as originally listed. Keep that in mind when planning your build.
All March Community Day Bonuses
