Sustainability Week is back in Pokémon Go, and this year’s edition is one of the more content-heavy versions of the event. Between two brand-new Pokémon making their debut, a first-time shiny release, a new costume Pokémon, rotating Route bonuses, and a GO Pass loaded with rewards, there’s plenty to keep trainers busy before the clock runs out on Monday evening. Here’s everything you need to know.
Event End Time
Sustainability Week 2026 runs until Monday, April 20th at 8pm local time. Your GO Pass rewards need to be claimed by Wednesday, April 22nd at 8pm local time, so don’t leave it too late.
What’s New This Year
Three things are making their Pokémon Go debut during this event, and that’s a solid haul for a single week.
Silicobra and its evolution Sandaconda are arriving for the first time. Silicobra is a pure Ground-type from the Galar region — that’s Gen 8 — and fits neatly into the sand snake archetype the series has always done well. You’ll find it spawning more frequently in desert and sandy terrain. It takes 50 Silicobra Candy to evolve into Sandaconda, so it’s worth prioritising catches if you’re after the evolution before the event ends. Worth noting: Shiny Silicobra is not available yet. Niantic typically reserves shiny debuts for Community Days, so expect that to come in a future event.
Shiny Toedscool is also making its first appearance in the game. Toedscool spawns in forested and grassy areas, and if you get lucky with a shiny, 50 Toedscool Candy will get you a Shiny Toedscruel. Both are worth hunting if you have time to get into the right biomes.
Rounding out the new additions is Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola — the event’s costume Pokémon. Galarian Corsola is already a fan favourite for its ghost typing and eerie design, and the sunglasses variant is genuinely charming. You can find it on Routes, hatch it from 7km Eggs collected during the event, and earn it through field research. There’s also a shiny version available, which is probably the most sought-after cosmetic addition this week.
Field Research Tasks and Rewards
Spin PokéStops during the event and you’ll find Sustainability Week-exclusive field research tasks. Here’s what’s available:
| Task | Reward |
|---|---|
| Catch 5 Pokémon | 10 Poké Balls, 5 Great Balls, or 3 Ultra Balls |
| Catch 10 Pokémon | Castform encounter |
| Catch 15 Pokémon | Combee, Cherubi, or Foongus encounter |
| Explore 3km | Lapras, Togetic, or Trubbish encounter |
| Hatch 2 Eggs | Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola encounter |
The Hatch 2 Eggs task is the one to prioritise if you’re chasing the costume Corsola encounter. The Explore 3km task is also handy since Lapras and Togetic both have active shiny boosts during the event.

Wild Pokémon Spawns
The following Pokémon are appearing more frequently in the wild throughout Sustainability Week:
- Seedot
- Castform (form depends on real-world weather conditions)
- Foongus
- Binacle
- Cutiefly
- Gossifleur
- Silicobra
- Wiglett
- Toedscool
A quick note on biome specifics: Silicobra spawns in desert areas, Wiglett appears along beaches and coastlines, and Toedscool is found in forested and grassy environments. If you’re in an area that doesn’t naturally match those biomes, Daily Adventure Incense is your best bet after the event ends and spawn rates drop back to normal.
Eggs: What’s Hatching from 7km Eggs
Any 7km Egg you pick up from Gifts or Gift Exchange during the event has a chance of hatching one of the following:
- Lapras
- Togepi
- Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola
- Castform (Normal Form)
- Trubbish
Make sure you’re opening up Egg slots before collecting Gifts — 7km Eggs only go into your incubator pool if you have space, and there’s no point in receiving Gifts if they can’t drop the event eggs.
Route Spawns: Rotating by Date
Different Pokémon are being attracted to Routes throughout the week depending on the date. Here’s the breakdown:
| Dates | Route Pokémon |
|---|---|
| Tuesday 14th – Thursday 16th April (from 10am) | Togetic, Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola |
| Thursday 16th – Saturday 18th April (from 10am) | Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola, Trubbish |
| Saturday 18th – Monday 20th April (until 8pm) | Lapras, Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola |
Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola appears across all three windows, so there’s no bad time to hit your Routes if that’s the Pokémon you’re after. Lapras in the final window is a nice bonus — its shiny rate is boosted during the event, and Lapras remains one of the more coveted shinies in the game.
Active Bonuses
Here’s a quick summary of everything running during the event:
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Lapras, Shiny Togetic, Shiny Castform, and Shiny Trubbish in the wild
- Increased chance of hatching Shiny Pink Sunglasses Galarian Corsola and Shiny Castform from 7km Eggs
- Rotating Route spawns throughout the week (see above)
- Event-exclusive field research tasks at PokéStops
GO Pass: Free and Deluxe Track Breakdown

Every player gets the Free Track automatically on login. Here’s how the tracks break down:
The Free Track includes Major Milestone bonuses, Stardust, XP, Rare Candy, Ultra Balls, and event-themed Pokémon encounters as you rank up.
The Deluxe Track ($4.99, or local equivalent) adds an extra Major Milestone bonus, an event-themed avatar pose, Incense, Silver Pinap Berries, Rare Candy XL, Candy XL, and additional Pokémon encounters on top of the free rewards.
The Deluxe Track + 6 Ranks ($6.99, or local equivalent) auto-completes your first six ranks, so you hit the ground running without having to grind the early tiers. Trainers who upgrade through the web store also receive a bonus gift with purchase — 10 Ultra Balls, 5 Max Revives, 1 Premium Battle Pass, and 5 Max Potions for the standard Deluxe, or a beefier bundle for the higher tier that includes Super Incubators.
One important note: the GO Pass upgrade is non-refundable and cannot be purchased with PokéCoins. It must be bought with real currency.
Everything Else Going On in Pokémon Go Right Now
Sustainability Week doesn’t exist in a vacuum — there’s plenty happening around it. The Pressure Rising Special Research quest is running alongside the event, and it’s worth working through if you haven’t already. Beyond that, Go Battle League, Remote Trading, PokéStop Showcases, Routes, and Max Battles are all active. Groudon was the featured Raid Hour Pokémon on Wednesday, and Dynamax Drilbur has been running in Max Battles from April 13 through 19. There’s also a Riolu Replay Hatch Day on April 18th, with boosted shiny Riolu in 2km Eggs for those after a Shiny Lucario.
