TL;DR: To get the East Wing Keycard in Resident Evil Requiem, go to the Chairman’s Office (West Wing 2F) → grab the Unicorn Trinket Box → examine it to get the Red Jewel → return to West Wing 1F → use the Red Jewel on the Door with Indent to unlock the Parlor → find the severed arm in the back-left corner → interact with it to pry out the East Wing Keycard.
After making your way through the West Wing in Resident Evil Requiem, unlocking the East Wing is your next key objective as Grace. The East Wing is home to the Sun Quartz, the Lead Researcher’s Office puzzle, the Hemolytic Injector, and several other critical progression items. But before any of that, you need the East Wing Keycard — and getting it requires a small detour through the Parlor.
East Wing Keycard – What You Need Before Starting
Make sure you’ve completed these steps first:
- ✅ Obtained the West Wing Keycard and unlocked the West Wing
- ✅ Navigated through the Kitchen, Dining Room, and Filing Room
- ✅ Reached the Chairman’s Office on West Wing 2F (where you solve the Chairman’s Office Puzzle Box for the Moon Quartz)
- ✅ Still need: if you haven’t solved the fuse puzzle and entered the main Care Center, start there first

Step 1 – Get the Unicorn Trinket Box from the Chairman’s Office

Head up to the Chairman’s Office on the 2nd floor of the West Wing. As you enter the lounge area, look to the desk with a lit lamp to the north, near the door. You will find the Unicorn Trinket Box sitting on a shelf there.
Pick it up and use the Examine function to inspect the back of the box. Rotating and examining it will open it, revealing the Red Jewel inside — a key item needed to unlock the Parlor.
While you’re here: The Chairman’s Office also contains the Puzzle Box for the Moon Quartz and several collectible Files. If you haven’t already, solve the Puzzle Box using the Pencil found in the back office (code: Moon → Sun → Star → Moon).
Step 2 – Use the Red Jewel on the Door with Indent (West Wing 1F)
Return to the West Wing ground floor. Head into the corridor that leads toward the Kitchen. Along this hallway, you will find the Door with Indent — a locked door with a decorative crest on it that has an empty slot.

Watch out: By this point in the game, the Chef enemy may be patrolling this hallway. Crouch and move carefully to avoid alerting him, or wait for him to move before advancing.
Interact with the Door with Indent and place the Red Jewel into the slot. This will unlock what is referred to as the Unicorn Door, opening it to reveal the Parlor beyond.
Step 3 – Get the East Wing Keycard from the Parlor
Inside the Parlor, head to the back-left corner of the room where you’ll find a corpse slumped near a table. The corpse has a severed arm with something useful inside it. Interact with the arm and inspect the hand to pry out the East Wing Keycard.
Important warning: The body in the Parlor will reanimate later in the game and attack you. Once it does, aim for the head to put it down. It’s not a threat immediately, but be prepared for it on a return visit.

Don’t Leave the Parlor Without These
The Parlor also functions as an upgrade shop. While you’re here, spend any Antique Coins you’ve collected on the upgrade lockers on the left side of the room:
| Upgrade | Cost (Antique Coins) | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Hip Pouch | 3 | +2 inventory slots |
| Stabilizer | 4 | Better gun handling and increased firepower |
| Steroids | 4 | Increases maximum health |
| Override Manual | 6 | +50 Blood Collector capacity |
You’ll also find two Antique Coins in the Parlor itself — one on the roulette table and one on the bar counter — plus a Green Herb and some handgun ammo. Collect everything before moving on.
Step 4 – Use the East Wing Keycard in Central Hall
With the East Wing Keycard in hand:
- Return to Central Hall
- Use the keycard on the East Wing door
- Upon entering, you’ll find a Mr. Raccoon collectible on the reception desk straight ahead — shoot it if you’re going for 100% completion
