Thunderbolts Trailer Drops at Super Bowl, Revealing First Look at Sentry
With the Avengers no longer in the MCU, the world needs a new team to step up—and whether they’re ready or not, the Thunderbolts are here.
During Super Bowl 2025, Marvel unveiled the first full trailer for Thunderbolts, giving fans an exciting glimpse at this unconventional team and, most importantly, the first look at Sentry, one of Marvel’s most powerful anti-heroes.

The trailer kicks off with Val in court, making her case for the formation of the Thunderbolts. Meanwhile, Bucky Barnes has assembled a team including US Agent, Yelena Belova, Taskmaster, Red Guardian, and Ghost to take on a major threat—Sentry.
Even though the Thunderbolts are the main focus, Sentry’s arrival steals the spotlight, introducing a character with Superman-level strength but a much darker, more unpredictable side.
The first Thunderbolts teaser only hinted at Sentry’s alter ego, Bob, but this new trailer finally showcases his raw power. And from what we’ve seen, he’s not exactly using it for good—at least, not yet.
Since the Thunderbolts don’t have actual superpowers, the trailer makes it clear that Sentry is an absolute force easily overpowering them. How will this team of misfits take on one of Marvel’s strongest characters? We’ll have to wait and see.
