How To Unlock Yae Miko’s Story Quest
Yae Miko’s Story Quest requires Story Keys to unlock, which are earned by completing daily commissions. Players can hold a maximum of three keys at once, and the quest can be started from the Quest page of the main menu once unlocked.
Quest 1: Mysterious Urban Legend

The first quest starts in Hanamizaka, where players hear rumors of a wishing ritual pulled from a light novel called A Firsthand Guide to Summoning Spirits. According to the rumors, standing on a certain spot at midnight and reciting an incantation will grant any wish. However, people who completed the ritual have started acting strangely afterward.
Head to the Grand Narukami Shrine to ask Yae Miko about the book. There, Katou Youhei is begging Yae Miko for help, claiming his brother Shingo has been acting oddly. Villager Kenji reveals that Shingo suddenly became a master swordsman overnight and beat one of Sensei Domon’s disciples in a duel.
Travel to the waterfall in Konda Village to find Shingo. Throw salt at him to force a spirit to appear, then defeat it in battle. The exorcism reveals that Youhei and Shingo used the ritual from the novel, and Shingo ended up possessed by an Oni spirit. Yae Miko initially refuses to get involved further, but changes her mind once she learns the novel is hurting her own publishing house’s sales.
Quest 2: Friendship in Writing

This quest picks up at the Yae Publishing House in Inazuma City, where Yae Miko decides the best way to beat a viral book is to write a better one using the Traveler’s own experiences. Head to Uyuu Restaurant to meet her writing team.
Players choose story ideas for two chapters of the novel. Regardless of which options are picked, Yae Miko rates each submission and ultimately settles on her own final title, so there’s no wrong answer here.
Once the novel is finished, find Nakano Shino in the city to submit it. Players then need to wait three in-game days to see how well the book performs, which can be sped up using the clock feature in the Paimon Menu.
Quest 3: A Centuries-Long Dream

With the new novel outperforming the rival book, Yae Miko says the real work isn’t done, since the original author behind “A Firsthand Guide to Summoning Spirits” still needs to be found. The summoning ritual site is located on the coast east of Inazuma City.
Interacting with the otherworldly door opens the Secret Summoning Chamber domain. Yae Miko is available as a trial character throughout, and since she’s already an Electro user, players don’t need to bring a separate Electro character.
The domain revolves around lighting four Electro lamps scattered across three floors while fighting Kairagi, Nobushi, and Treasure Hoarders along the way. This same domain contains a total of six chests: two Exquisite, three Common, and one Precious. Since the domain is a one-time area, players should collect every chest before finishing the ritual, as it can’t be repeated afterward.
Once all four lamps are lit, the summoning ritual triggers, and Yae Miko asks the Traveler to be the one possessed for the ritual to work. This leads to uncovering the identity of the youkai behind the mysterious book.
Quest 4: Banquet of Parting

The final quest of Act I involves preparing for a Hyakkiyakou, a farewell gathering for the youkai involved in the story. Head to the Grand Narukami Shrine to speak with Yae Miko, then ask the shrine maidens to temporarily leave the area.
Next, travel to the main road under Mt. Yougou to stop monsters affected by the youkai’s dispersing memories from climbing the mountain. This section involves fighting off four separate waves of enemies, including Rock Shieldwall Mitachurls and an Anemo Samachurl.
After clearing all the enemies, return to the Grand Narukami Shrine and head to the Sacred Sakura Tree for the final cutscene. Yae Miko performs the ritual, creating a “moonless night” that disperses the youkai’s memories. The quest closes on a quieter, more personal note, with Yae Miko admitting a bit of loneliness beneath her usual playful demeanor.
What Rewards Do You Get From Yae Miko’s Story Quest?
Completing all four quests in Act I rewards players with Primogems, Mora, and Character EXP Materials, along with story progression that deepens Yae Miko’s background and her relationship with the Traveler.
