TL;DR
- There are 6 shrines in Laslea Glen: Laslea Centre, Anca’s Hut, Blackwater Hollow, Northern Foothills, Silver Mines, and Outlaw’s Gorge.
- All 6 are regular shrines — none are destroyed, so no repair is needed. Walk near any of them to unlock it.
- Shrines are the only fast travel points in the game. You can only travel between shrines you have already visited.
- At any shrine you can also buy skills, skip time, and store items — not just fast travel.
- Laslea Glen shrines are available from the start of the prologue with no conditions attached.
- The game has 111 shrines total across all regions — 94 regular and 17 destroyed.
- There are no mounts in the game, so finding shrines early is the best way to save time on movement.
Laslea Glen is where The Blood of Dawnwalker begins. It is the prologue region, and it is also where you learn the basics of everything the game asks you to do — including finding shrines. In this game, shrines are not just map decorations. They are your fast travel points, your skill purchase menus, your item storage, and your way to skip time. Missing them means a lot of unnecessary walking in a game where movement takes real time. This guide covers every shrine in Laslea Glen, where each one sits, and what you can find near each one while you are there.
Before diving in, if you are still in the middle of the prologue and struggling with the Withering Away quest, our guide on how to make Mother’s Medicine in Blood of Dawnwalker will sort that out quickly. And if you have not sorted out your platform setup yet, our PC requirements guide has every spec tier explained.

How Shrines Work In The Blood of Dawnwalker
Before you start hunting, it helps to understand exactly what shrines do — because they do more than most players expect from a fast travel point.
How to Unlock a Shrine
Unlocking a regular shrine is simple. Just walk near it. That is all. You do not need to interact with it in a special way or spend any resources. As soon as Coen gets close, the shrine icon on your map turns from grey to blue. It is then unlocked permanently and available for fast travel.
What You Can Do at a Shrine
- Fast Travel — teleport to any other shrine you have already visited. You cannot fast travel from open ground — only from a shrine you are standing at. And you can only travel to destinations you have personally unlocked before.
- Buy Skills — spend your skill points here. The skill menu is accessed through the shrine, covering all three trees: Witchcraft (daytime), Swordmastery (any time), and Vampirism (nighttime).
- Skip Time — pass from day to night or night to day without leaving the shrine. Useful when you want to switch Coen’s abilities without travelling.
- Store Items — stash things you do not need right now. Stored items can be retrieved at any other shrine.
Destroyed Shrines
Some shrines across Vale Sangora are broken and missing their figurine — the small statue that powers them. To repair a destroyed shrine, use Focus Mode (hold L2 on PS5 or LT on Xbox) near it and follow the yellow highlighted footprints or clues to find the figurine. It is usually held by nearby enemies. Defeat them, loot the figurine, and return it to the shrine to restore it permanently.
Good news for Laslea Glen: none of the six shrines here are destroyed. You can unlock all of them just by walking past.
Fast Travel Costs No Time
This is important. Fast travelling between shrines does not consume a time segment. Only quests, certain dialogue choices, and specific story actions advance the clock. Moving around the map — including fast travel — is free. So unlock shrines early and use them freely without worrying about your 30-day limit.

All Laslea Glen Shrine Locations
There are six shrines in Laslea Glen. None are destroyed. All are accessible from the start of your playthrough with no prerequisites. Here is each one with its location and what is nearby.
1. Laslea Centre Shrine
This is the first shrine most players find. It sits right in the middle of the village, making it the natural hub for the Laslea Glen area. If you are doing any prologue quest that takes you through the village, you will pass within range of this shrine automatically.
Around the Laslea Centre Shrine you can find several prologue quests, key NPCs, and vendors. This is your main anchor point for the early game. Unlock it first and use it as your return point when exploring the rest of the region.
2. Anca’s Hut Shrine
Southwest of the Laslea Centre Shrine, right next to Anca’s house. If you have done the Withering Away quest — which sends you to Anca to pick up herbs for Esme — you will have already walked directly past this shrine. It is easy to miss because your attention is on Anca and not the surroundings.
Anca is the local herbalist and an important character in the prologue and beyond. Speaking to her is part of the main story, and an optional side quest called Page-Turner also starts here if you choose to stay with her during the rainstorm. The shrine sits just outside her hut, making this a convenient fast travel point for any reason you need to return to this part of the map.
3. Blackwater Hollow Shrine
Further out from Anca’s Hut, continuing along the path northwest. This shrine sits in the Blackwater Hollow area, which is more remote than the village centre. On the path between the Anca’s Hut Shrine and this one, you will find an abandoned house. Approaching it triggers the side quest Enter Not, so keep that in mind if you spot the building and want to investigate.
The Blackwater Hollow area also contains Ancient Ruins. If you explore them, you have the chance to encounter Lazar and start the side quest Deep Down. You can also begin that quest by talking to Lazar’s brother, Gavril, who can be found along the path back from Anca’s Hut toward Coen’s house.
4. Northern Foothills Shrine
Continue heading north from Blackwater Hollow to reach this shrine. It sits in the foothills above the main village area, giving access to the more rugged northern part of Laslea Glen.
Near the Northern Foothills Shrine, you can trigger the side quest If a Tree Falls in a Forest. This involves investigating marks in the area — a fallen tree, footsteps — until you locate a dead Uriash creature. East of this shrine is also a bear’s den. Clear the bear and explore the cave to trigger another small activity called Into the Den.
5. Silver Mines Shrine
Head back to the Laslea Centre Shrine and go north from there to find the Silver Mines Shrine. The silver mines are an important location in the story — they feature in the prologue’s later events — but as a shrine destination, there is not a great deal of side content specifically tied to this spot.
That said, unlocking it is still worthwhile. It gives you a fast travel point in the northern part of the map that covers the mine area, saving you the walk back from Laslea Centre whenever the story takes you up here.
6. Outlaw’s Gorge Shrine
The Outlaw’s Gorge Shrine is in the southeastern part of Laslea Glen, near the bandit camp in the gorge. This is the furthest shrine from the village centre and the one most players unlock last during the prologue.
This area has real rewards attached to it. Inside the bandit hideout at Outlaw’s Gorge, you can find the Bandit’s Treasure Map: Laslea Glen on a table after clearing the outlaws and their wolf. The treasure map leads you east of the shrine, where a Ravenous Bear guards a cave. Defeat the bear, dig out the rubble inside, and you find a chest containing 100 Denarius, a Recipe for Minor Fortitude Paste, a Polished Long Cleaver, and a Golden Mug. The Polished Long Cleaver is particularly useful — it unlocks a bonus weapon art attack for Coen.
Note that digging out the rubble in the cave costs 1 time segment. If you are tight on time during the prologue, you can come back to finish the treasure hunt during the Smoke and Ashes quest in the open world section instead.
Why You Should Unlock All Six Shrines Early
Laslea Glen is the tutorial region, but do not rush through it. Unlocking all six shrines here takes very little time — remember, just walking near them does it — and the payoff is significant.
The game has no mounts. Coen moves on foot everywhere. Once you leave the prologue and enter the open world, Vale Sangora is roughly 10 square kilometres split across 10 regions. Without fast travel points, moving from one side of the map to the other is a meaningful time investment. Having a dense network of shrine connections from the start means you are never far from where you need to be.
The two movement skills worth unlocking as early as possible are Shapeshift from the Vampirism tree and Mercurial Fervour from the Witchcraft tree. Both significantly increase Coen’s movement speed when active — one at night, one during the day. These are used from any shrine after spending the skill points. Unlocking shrines gives you the places to purchase and use those skills.

Tips For Using Laslea Glen Shrines Well
- Unlock Anca’s Hut shrine the moment you visit Anca. It is right there and you will almost certainly need to return to this part of the map later. Missing it during the Withering Away quest is a common mistake.
- Use Focus Mode near the shrines to check surrounding clues and interactive objects. Several nearby quests — like Deep Down and Enter Not — can be picked up just by being in the right spot with Focus Mode active.
- Spend your first skill points at any shrine before leaving Laslea Glen. The skill trees are accessible from all six shrines here, and getting your early movement or combat skill sorted before the open world opens makes a real difference.
- Do not skip Outlaw’s Gorge. The bandit camp is slightly out of the way, but the Polished Long Cleaver from the treasure hunt is a proper early-game weapon upgrade that unlocks a Weapon Art for Coen.
- Store items at shrines when your inventory gets heavy. Storage is shared across all shrines, so anything you leave at Laslea Centre can be picked up at Outlaw’s Gorge. Use this to carry lighter loads during exploration.
What Comes After Laslea Glen?
Once the prologue ends and the open world opens up, you leave Laslea Glen behind as the main focus and enter Vale Sangora properly. The full game has 111 shrines across 10 regions. Laslea Glen’s 6 give you a solid foundation, but the rest of the map — Briar Sloughs, Maragir Wealds, Svartrau City, and beyond — all have their own shrine networks to discover.
The same rules apply everywhere. Walk near a regular shrine to unlock it. Use Focus Mode and track down the figurine to repair a destroyed one. Fast travel costs no time. Skills are bought at any shrine. The habits you build here in Laslea carry forward for the rest of the game.
