Battlefield 6 Update 1.3.1.5 Is Out May 26 — Full Patch Notes and What’s Fixed
Season 3 of Battlefield 6 is rolling along nicely, but the gap between Warlords: Supremacy and the June 9 Blastpoint drop isn’t just dead air. Battlefield Studios is filling it with Quality of Life Game Update 1.3.1.5, landing on May 26 at 08:00 UTC across all platforms. It’s not a massive content patch — nobody’s expecting new maps or weapons here — but it’s a focused, sensible set of fixes that address some of the most talked-about frustrations from the community since Season 3 launched. Let’s go through what’s actually changing and why it matters.
The Three Headline Fixes
Battlefield Studios highlighted three major improvements as the core of this update, and all three are genuinely welcome:
- Map issues fixed across Hagental Base, Railway to Golmud, and Portal — out-of-bounds areas, spawn placement, objective behaviour, and map information have all been addressed across these three locations.
- Battle Royale and Ranked Battle Royale UI overhaul — matchmaking messaging, progression visibility, and loading screens have all been cleaned up. If you’ve been playing REDSEC and found the UI confusing or inconsistent, this patch should make a meaningful difference.
- Respawn and redeployment bugs fixed — several issues preventing players from spawning back in, redeploying on vehicles, or getting stuck after death have been resolved. This one has been a nagging complaint since Season 3 started.
Railway to Golmud Specific Fixes
The fan-favourite BF4 map got some important attention in this patch, and most of these fixes are directly addressing things the community flagged in the weeks since it returned. The most notable change is that Objective D in Conquest can no longer be captured from the top of the communications towers. That particular exploit had been a real frustration for players who felt like they were being cheated out of objective control by enemies sitting in positions that were never intended for capping.
A few other Railway to Golmud fixes worth noting:
- An alternate spawn point near Objective B in Escalation mode has been adjusted so players no longer spawn floating high above the ground — an issue that was both disorienting and occasionally fatal on landing.
- Destroyed houses near Objective E in Conquest will no longer leave floating debris behind after being demolished. This was a visual bug but one that broke immersion hard enough that it kept popping up in community clips.
- A placeholder Battle Royale loading screen image that could appear on the map has been removed and replaced with the correct asset.
Hagental Base and Portal
Hagental Base is getting a fix for an exploit involving the Assault Ladder that was allowing players to leave the intended combat area entirely. That’s the kind of out-of-bounds issue that competitive players exploit quickly once it’s discovered, so patching it out promptly is the right call. Portal also received a minor update — the “Portal Next – Complex 3” description in the Maps and Modes filters has been corrected, which sounds small but cleans up some confusing navigation.

REDSEC — The UI Changes Players Have Been Waiting For
The Battle Royale side of Battlefield 6 has had its share of UI complaints since launch, and update 1.3.1.5 takes a proper run at several of them:
- Visual customisation in the lobby — REDSEC players can now select their visual customisation options while sitting in the lobby rather than having to back out to a menu. A small change that cuts out a genuinely annoying extra step.
- Ranked matchmaking messaging — players now receive a clearer error message when Ranked Battle Royale matchmaking can’t continue because party members are too far apart in rank. Previously this would just fail silently or give a vague error, which was confusing.
- Placement Rank Points rewards — the Rules and Points page now correctly reflects the latest Ranked Battle Royale balance changes. Some of the rank point rewards displayed on that page had been out of date since a previous balance pass, which was causing confusion about how progression actually worked.
- Ranked Points counter fix at 999 RP — the counter behaviour when a player reaches 999 Ranked Points has been improved. This was causing display issues for players approaching the top of the rank ladder, which is exactly the wrong time for the UI to misbehave.
Vehicle, Gadget, and Weapon Fixes
A few smaller but practical changes round out the patch. Teammates can now deploy on the AH-6 LittleBird when the gunner seat is occupied — a limitation that felt unnecessarily restrictive given how the helicopter operates. Mounting reliability has also been improved, resolving an issue where players could unexpectedly lose their mounted position mid-engagement. That one in particular had been clipping players at the worst possible moments.
The MTN-55 Proximity Detector has been improved to reveal enemy soldiers more reliably in certain scenarios — there were cases where the gadget simply wasn’t triggering when it should have, which defeats the purpose of running it. On the weapon side, the L115 Sniper Rifle model will now remain visible after the player using it is revived. It was disappearing on revival, which was both a visual oddity and a potential gameplay issue when communicating with squadmates.
What’s Still Not Fixed
Here’s where it gets honest. Update 1.3.1.5 is a solid quality-of-life patch, but it doesn’t address two of the biggest ongoing complaints in the community right now. Challenge registration — the bug where player progress on active challenges either doesn’t track correctly or doesn’t register at all — is still a problem that has persisted since launch. This one keeps shape-shifting with each new season because new challenge types get added, which means new ways for the underlying tracking issue to manifest.
Netcode is the other lingering sore spot. Season 2’s final Title Update earlier this month made genuine improvements to desync issues, but the community consensus is that it wasn’t enough. Players are still reporting situations where they die behind cover or where hit registration feels inconsistent. Battlefield Studios hasn’t commented on a timeline for a more comprehensive netcode fix, which means it’s likely something that continues to be worked on in the background rather than addressed in a standalone update.
Where Season 3 Goes From Here
With 1.3.1.5 landing May 26, the next major milestone is Blastpoint on June 9 — Season 3 Part 2, which brings a reimagined version of Grand Bazaar from Battlefield 4. That’ll be followed by High-Value Target on June 30, the season’s final content drop, which is set to introduce new modes and a bonus battle pass path.
Battlefield 6 is still in a strong position overall. The game sold 20 million units and remains one of the most-played shooters on the market, player counts are healthy heading into the back half of Season 3, and there’s even a Battlefield movie in development to keep the franchise in the broader cultural conversation. A few persistent bugs and some community frustrations are normal for a live-service game at this stage of its lifecycle. The question is whether Battlefield Studios can iron out the challenge tracking and netcode issues before they start feeling like defining characteristics of the game rather than known work-in-progress items.
Update 1.3.1.5 is a step in the right direction. Now let’s see what Blastpoint brings on June 9.
