Navigate every choice in Dispatch Episode 5 (Team Building) with our complete walkthrough. Learn about new dispatch mechanics, romance options, and the major identity reveal choice.
By the time you reach Episode 5 of Dispatch, you’ve probably gotten comfortable managing the Z-Team’s emergency calls. This episode switches things up by front-loading the dispatch sequences, saving most of the dialogue-heavy content for later. And trust me—that finale is worth the wait.
Fair warning: This guide contains minor spoilers for Dispatch Episode 5. If you want to go in completely blind, bookmark this for later!
The episode kicks off with Robert hitting the gym, replaying memories of past battles in his head. While benching, Flambae spots you (literally—gym humor intended). Here’s your first dialogue choice:

My take: All three options work fine here. Pick what feels right for your version of Robert. This is more about establishing tone than consequences.
If you’ve been pursuing Blond Blazer romantically (choosing dinner over movies with Invisigal in Episode 4), you’ll get an additional conversation before dispatch starts:

The game remembers this, so choose based on where you want this relationship to go.
Here’s where Episode 5 introduces something genuinely clever—maximum stat limits. For the first time, certain calls will automatically fail if you send someone whose stats are too high.
Pro tip: Always read those highlighted keywords on the right side of each call. They’re your cheat sheet for matching heroes to situations. And now, watch for calls that specify a stat ceiling—sending your most powerful hero isn’t always the right move anymore.
This adds a welcome layer of strategy. You’re not just picking the strongest available hero; you’re actually thinking about the nuances of each situation. Check out our complete heroes and powers guide to refresh your memory on each team member’s abilities.
After dispatching, you’ll find yourself in the break room where Malevola and Prism are speculating about your secret identity. Time to throw them off the scent:

The game remembers this choice, though it doesn’t have immediate consequences. I went with “No hints” on my playthrough—it felt most in-character for keeping Robert’s identity under wraps.
Things get heavy when Chase asks the question weighing on everyone’s mind: Will you kill Shroud when you finally face him?

This is a remembered choice that could impact future episodes. It’s one of those moral crossroads that defines your version of Mecha Man. Are you driven by vengeance or heroic ideals? There’s no wrong answer, but it absolutely matters.
The second dispatch session introduces a new hacking minigame where you need to create electrical pathways. Think of it like connecting circuits—you’re routing power from point A to point B.
Heads up: Antivirus programs will chase you during these sequences, but if you’re overcharged, you can zap them. Time your movements right and you’ll breeze through.
With multiple calls coming in, this sequence demands your full attention. Balance your hero assignments carefully, and don’t forget those new maximum stat restrictions from earlier.

After dispatch duty, the team invites you out for drinks at the Sardine bar. If you went to the movies with Invisigal in Episode 4, you’ll have a private conversation with her:

Invisigal remembers your response, though the scene plays out similarly regardless. If you’re committed to the Blond Blazer romance, this is where you can politely but clearly set boundaries.
Inside the bar, you’ll have several casual exchanges with team members:

First conversation:
Second conversation:
Third conversation (remembered):
These flow into a bar brawl with interactive prompts—embrace the chaos! The Dispatch voice actors really sell these action sequences.
After the fight, everyone’s outside grabbing food when Punch Up directly asks who you really are. This is the major decision of Episode 5:

My recommendation: This depends entirely on your playstyle. The dramatic reveal (“I’m Mecha Man”) creates more immediate tension and character conflict, which personally feels more satisfying narratively. But if you’re playing Robert as cautious and strategic, keeping some cards close to your chest makes sense too.
Both paths lead to the team sharing their real names—you’re building trust either way. The difference is in how that trust develops.
Episode 5 does serious work developing the team dynamics. By this point in the story, you’re not just a dispatcher—you’re becoming part of this found family of heroes. The identity question has been hanging over the narrative since Episode 1, and how you handle it here will shape relationships moving forward.
The new dispatch mechanics also signal that the game is ramping up complexity. If you’ve been coasting on auto-pilot, Episode 5 makes you think strategically again.

Bottom line: Episode 5 balances gameplay innovation with meaningful character development. The identity reveal choice is easily the most impactful decision so far, and there’s no rewind button—choose wisely!
