Fortnite Sprite Chest Locations: All 61 Spots, Vaults & Best Farming Routes (Chapter 7 Season 3)

All 61 Fortnite Sprite Chest locations in Chapter 7 Season 3 — every POI count, Epic Vault spots, the Lucky Locator Gizmo, Mastery Monday bonuses, and the two fastest farming routes.

  • There are now 61 Sprite Chest spawn points across the Shattered Coast map in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 — the original 33 were expanded with mid-season updates.
  • Sprite Chests do not spawn at every location every match — they appear randomly at known spots each game.
  • They look like ancient blue-glowing chests with a pink crystal on top — easy to identify once you know what to look for.
  • When you are nearby, Sprite Chests play a sound similar to Chapter 2 Vault Chests — use the audio cue to find them without visual line of sight.
  • Sinister Strip has the highest concentration — 4 potential Sprite Chests in one POI.
  • Epic Sprite Vaults at Frosted Flats and Sinister Strip each contain 3 guaranteed Sprite Chests inside — the best single-location density in the game.
  • As of v41.20, Sprite Chests now guarantee an Epic, Legendary, or Mythic Sprite — no more pulling only Rares from chests.
  • Play on Mastery Monday (every Monday, 9 AM ET to Tuesday 9 AM ET) for 2x Sprite XP, 2x Sprite Dust, and boosted Legendary/Mythic spawn rates.
  • The Lucky Locator Gizmo (added v41.30) guarantees a chest containing a Sprite you haven’t collected yet — earn it through the Sprite Mastery progression track.
  • Season ends August 20, 2026 — all Gizmos expire at season end, so use your Lucky Locators before then.

Fortnite Sprite Chest locations are the most important thing to learn early in Chapter 7 Season 3. Sprite Chests are the primary source of Sprites — the collectible companions that give you passive gameplay buffs and form the core progression loop this season. Knowing where every chest can spawn, which POIs have the most, and the fastest farming routes means you find more Sprites per match, build your collection faster, and spend less time wandering blind. Here is every location across the Shattered Coast and the two best routes to run them.

What Are Sprite Chests in Fortnite Runners

Sprite Chests are a brand new container type added in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Opening one guarantees you a Sprite drop plus a standard loot item. No other chest type in the game guarantees a Sprite.

They are visually distinct from every other chest type. Look for:

  • A blue glow around the chest body
  • A pink crystal sitting on top of the lid
  • An audio cue similar to the old Chapter 2 Vault Chests when you are in the vicinity — you can hear them before you see them, especially inside buildings

They are less common than standard loot chests or blue Relic Chests, but easy to identify on sight once you have seen one. Not every known spawn point will have a chest in every match. Sprite Chests appear randomly at fixed coordinates — sometimes a location spawns one, sometimes it does not. Running a route across multiple spawn points gives you the best chance of finding several per game.

All Fortnite Sprite Chest Locations by POI

There are 61 confirmed Sprite Chest spawn points spread across the Shattered Coast map — the original 33 at season launch have grown through mid-season patches. Here is the breakdown of the major locations with their chest counts:

High-Density Locations (3–4 Sprite Chests)

  • Sinister Strip4 Sprite Chests. The highest single-POI concentration on the map. High traffic area — expect competition. Also contains the Epic Sprite Vault underground with 3 additional guaranteed chests (requires Epic Vault Keycard).
  • Wonkeeland3 Sprite Chests. Spread across the POI. Located in the far northeast in the autumnal biome. The Bat Cave landmark (added v41.20) sits directly beneath this POI and is accessible via ascender — worth checking for additional chests.
  • Calamari Canyon3 Sprite Chests. On the west side of the island. Note: the rock spire Sprite Chest in this POI was relocated in the v41.30 patch (July 30) — its position has shifted from the original spawn point to prevent Sprites from falling through terrain.
  • Heatwave Harbor3 Sprite Chests. Southwest coast. Pairs well with a Sinister Strip rotation.
  • Shaken Sanctuary3 Sprite Chests. Southeast end of the map. Often sits near or inside the early storm circle, which is useful for ending your farming route here.

Medium-Density Locations (2 Sprite Chests)

  • Lifty Lodge2 Sprite Chests. Northwest snow biome. One in the larger building in the northern section, one near the ski lift below.
  • Frosted Flats2 Sprite Chests at the open POI, plus 3 guaranteed inside the Epic Sprite Vault underground (requires Epic Vault Keycard).
  • South of Calamari Canyon2 Sprite Chests. Between Calamari Canyon and Sinister Strip — pick these up while rotating between the two POIs.

Single Chest Locations (1 Sprite Chest Each)

  • The Battlewoods — 1 Sprite Chest inside the cross-shaped building in the southern section. Spider-Man NPC (added v41.30) is also here — you can pick up Web Shooters from him.
  • Collider Corridor Beta (landmark next to Latte Landing) — 1 Sprite Chest on the roof of the building next to the tunnel entrance
  • South of Wonkeeland — 1 Sprite Chest underneath a ramp southwest of the main Wonkeeland POI
  • North of Frosted Flats — 1 Sprite Chest on a mountain summit northeast of Frosted Flats, near a launch pad
  • Chopped Shop — 1 Sprite Chest at the bridge area near this POI
  • The Zero Point (center landmark) — 1 Sprite Chest near the Zero Point landmark in the center of the map
  • Golden Grove — 1 Sprite Chest. The Seven operating base on the far east coast
  • Collider Corridor Alpha (landmark north of Shaken Sanctuary) — 1 Sprite Chest
  • Cluster Coast — 1 Sprite Chest. On your natural rotation path along the southern coast
  • Wettest Bones Research Facility (landmark east of Sunken Shores) — 1 Sprite Chest near the shoreline
  • Crashout Estates (landmark near Sunken Shores) — 1 Sprite Chest, close to Wettest Bones

New v41.20 Location: The Bat Cave

Added in the v41.20 Hot Bat Summer update (July 16), The Bat Cave is a new landmark located directly beneath the Wonkeeland POI in the northeast corner of the map. Access it via the ascender at the Wonkeeland entrance. Check here for additional Sprite Chests when running the northern route — it sits naturally between your Wonkeeland and south-of-Wonkeeland stops.

Epic Sprite Vaults: The Best Guaranteed Sprite Chest Source

The two Epic Sprite Vaults are the highest-density Sprite Chest locations on the entire map. Each vault contains 3 guaranteed Sprite Chests plus Rare Chests and supply crates — every single match, no spawn RNG involved.

  • Sinister Strip Epic Sprite Vault — underground directly beneath The Shape landmark. Look for the ladder entrance.
  • Frosted Flats Epic Sprite Vault — underground on the east side of Frosted Flats, beneath the FrosDeez ice cream building. Less contested than Sinister Strip.

The catch: both require an Epic Vault Keycard, which drops randomly from Rare Chests across the map. If you find one, prioritise heading straight to one of these vaults. Three guaranteed Sprite Chests in a single room is more reliable than running a full POI route hoping for random spawns. For the exact vault entry points and how to find the keycard, see our Fortnite Runners complete quest guide.

Best Sprite Chest Farming Route: Southern Coastal Loop

This is the highest-efficiency route for most players. It hits the densest POIs in the smallest geographic area, keeping rotations short and fight exposure low. The southern coastal loop covers roughly 13 to 14 potential Sprite Chest spawns.

Drop order:

  • 1. Sinister Strip — land here first to hit all 4 potential Sprite Chest spawns. Clear the main buildings fast and collect any Sprites before other players reach them. Grab weapons while you loot.
  • 2. Heatwave Harbor — push directly west along the shoreline. Three more potential chest spawns here. Close enough that you will not lose momentum between stops.
  • 3. Wettest Bones Research Facility and Crashout Estates — continue south toward the Sunken Shores coast. Two chest spawns sit practically next to each other near the shoreline. Quick checks on both before moving on.
  • 4. Cluster Coast — swing east along the lower edge of the map. One chest spawn here, directly on your natural rotation path. Always worth a quick look.
  • 5. Shaken Sanctuary — push northeast to close the loop. Three potential chest spawns and it typically sits inside or near the early safe zones — ending your route here gives you strong positioning for the rest of the match.

This route keeps you on the coast, avoids long north-south crossings, and ends inside the storm circle. It is the recommended starting route for players new to Season 3.

Best Sprite Chest Farming Route: Northern Mountain Loop

This route uses the map’s mobility tools — launch pads, ski lifts, and Seven Sliders — to chain chest locations across the northern and central zones. It is better for experienced players who want to avoid the contested southern areas.

Drop order:

  • 1. Small island east of Lifty Lodge — start here. Check outside the easternmost building for a spawn. Head into the basement of the green house for the Rare Vault chest (needs a Rare Vault Key).
  • 2. Lifty Lodge — move west to the main POI. Check the large building in the northern section, then move to the ski lift area below it for the second spawn.
  • 3. Launch pad north of Frosted Flats — a Sprite Chest can spawn next to the lone launch pad on the mountain. Use the pad to fly to the next stop.
  • 4. The Battlewoods — land in the southern section. Check the cross-shaped building for the chest spawn, then move northeast toward the Battlewoods sign. Check behind the center tree in the sign area for a second spawn. Spider-Man NPC is here now (v41.30) — consider picking up Web Shooters for faster rotation to the next stop.
  • 5. Collider Corridor Beta — head northeast to the building next to the tunnel entrance. Check the roof for the chest spawn.
  • 6. South of Wonkeeland — move south to the ramp southwest of Wonkeeland. One chest spawn underneath the ramp structure.
  • 7. The Bat Cave / Wonkeeland — drop into the Bat Cave via ascender for any chests there, then finish at the main Wonkeeland POI for the final three potential spawns in the route.

This northern route avoids the heavy Sinister Strip traffic and is better for players who want to farm Sprites with less early-game fighting. The mobility items in the north (launch pads, ski lifts, Web Shooters from Spider-Man NPC) make rotations fast despite the longer distances.

Mastery Monday: The Best Day to Farm Sprite Chests

Every Monday in Fortnite Runners, Epic activates the Mastery Monday event — running from 9 AM ET on Monday through 9 AM ET on Tuesday (a full 24 hours). During this window you get four stacking bonuses:

  • Boosted Legendary and Mythic Sprite spawn rates from Sprite Chests
  • 2x Sprite XP from all activities — chests, eliminations, extractions
  • 2x Sprite Dust from every extraction
  • Extra Portable Extractors available during the event

All four bonuses stack simultaneously, making Monday not just the best day to hunt rarer Sprites but also the fastest day to level the Sprites you already have. If your goal is reaching Sprite Mastery on a specific companion, time your dedicated grind sessions for Mondays — a single good Monday session can push a Sprite from half-leveled to fully mastered.

Normal days are still worth farming. But if you are targeting rare variants like the Zero Point Sprite, Grim, or any of the new Mythic Sprites added mid-season, Monday is your best window every week.

Lucky Locator Gizmo: Guaranteed Sprite You Don’t Have Yet

Added in the v41.30 update (July 30), the Lucky Locator Gizmo is a powerful new tool for collection completionists. When used, it spawns a buried chest that is guaranteed to contain a Sprite you haven’t collected yet — taking the RNG out of the equation entirely for missing entries.

You earn Lucky Locators through the Sprite Mastery progression track. Since all Gizmos expire when Season 3 ends on August 20, 2026, use any Lucky Locators you earn before the season wraps — they do not carry forward.

How to Spot a Sprite Chest Quickly in the Field

Once you know the locations, finding the chest within a POI is the next challenge. A few things help:

  • Listen for the audio cue. Sprite Chests emit a sound similar to old Chapter 2 Vault Chests when you are in the area. You will often hear them before you see them, especially inside buildings.
  • Look for blue glow at ground level. The chest sits on the ground and the blue light radiates outward — visible around corners and through thin walls in some cases.
  • The pink crystal on top is the clearest visual identifier. Standard chests do not have it. If you see a crystal on a chest, it is a Sprite Chest.
  • They are not always inside buildings. Some spawn outdoors on rooftops, next to structures, or under ramps. Check exterior walls and rooftops at key spots, not just room interiors.
  • Enable Visualized Sounds in your settings. This makes the audio cue visible on screen as a directional indicator — extremely useful for locating nearby chests before you have a visual.

What Sprites Can You Get From Sprite Chests

Any Sprite in the Chapter 7 Season 3 loot pool can drop from a standard Sprite Chest. As of the v41.20 update (July 16), Sprite Chests now guarantee an Epic, Legendary, or Mythic Sprite — or a higher-rarity variant. The days of only pulling Rare Sprites from chests are over.

The season launched with 11 base Sprites and has expanded significantly across mid-season patches. As of v41.30, there are 24 base Sprites in the loot pool:

  • Launch Sprites (June 6): Earth, Water, Fire (Rare), Duck, Ghost, King, Demon (Epic), Dream, Punk (Legendary), Zero Point, Burnt Peanut (Mythic)
  • v41.10 Sprites (June 25): Fishy, Aura, Striker, Boss, Grim
  • v41.20 Sprites (July 16 — DC Hot Bat Summer): Air, Seven, Batman (Mythic), Vini Jr. (Mythic), Pollo (Mythic)
  • v41.30 Sprites (July 31): Llama, Peely, John Wick

Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, Holofoil, Gem, Quack, and Cube variants of eligible Sprites can also drop from Sprite Chests at lower rates than Base versions. Epic Vault Sprite Chests (inside the Frosted Flats and Sinister Strip vaults) have higher drop rates for Legendary and Mythic Sprites compared to standard Sprite Chests in the open world.

Once you find a Sprite, remember the full loop: pick it up, carry it to an Extraction Site, defend the terminal, and bank it permanently. Dying before extraction loses the Sprite for that match.
