The building starts as a set of old ruins, and it is up to the community — including your Parafolk — to help restore it through donations. Where Is the Community Center in Paralives?
The community center is located in the northwest corner of Melino. It is not what you might expect — rather than a clean, finished building, it looks like a set of roofless castle ruins covered in vines, with wild plants growing across the interior floor. This makes it easy to walk past without realising what it is.
It sits right next to the museum and the town hall and library, so if you already know where those buildings are, the community center is just a short walk away. To find it on the map:
- Pan the camera as far left as possible until you reach the edge of the world.
- Move the camera north until you spot the health center building.
- Continue just a little further north and you will find the community center ruins.
Look for a set of railroad tracks extending from a nearby bridge. Just on the other side of those tracks is the dilapidated stone building that serves as the community center. How to Donate to the Community Center
Walk inside the community center ruins and you will see four pedestals, each holding a different colored book. Each book represents a separate donation bundle with its own theme and requirements.
To make a donation:
- Click on the colored book for the bundle you want to contribute to.
- Select Make a Donation from the options.
- Your household inventory will open on the left side of the screen.
- Select a valid item that meets the bundle’s requirements.
- Click the blue Donate button to confirm.
You must have at least one valid item in your inventory that matches the bundle you are trying to donate to. If you do not have the right items yet, the donation option will not let you proceed for that bundle.
All Four Community Center Donation Bundles in Paralives
Unlike the museum — which accepts gems, mushrooms, and artifacts quite broadly — the community center has strict and specific requirements for each of its four bundles. Here is what each one asks for.
Funding Bundle (Green Book)
The Funding bundle is straightforward but expensive. You need to donate increasing amounts of Paradimes (in-game currency) to complete each level of this bundle. There is no item hunting involved — it is purely a cash contribution.
The amounts required grow significantly as you progress through the bundle tiers. The final Funding tier demands a very large sum — half a million Paradimes — so this is a long-term goal rather than something you will clear in the first few days. Art Bundle (Yellow Book)
The Art bundle requires you to submit specific pieces of artwork. There are two ways to get the art this bundle needs:
- Have your Para create artwork — certain pieces must be made by your own Parafolk using the Painting skill.
- Find lost art in buried chests — dig up buried chests scattered around Melino to recover lost artwork like paintings and other collectible pieces.
Buried chests spawn randomly across the town and reset regularly, so keep an eye out for dirt mounds as you explore. Food Bundle (Red Book)
The Food bundle requires you to submit a variety of food items across different categories. Some of these can be foraged directly from the town — you will find ingredients growing out in the wild as you explore. Others require cooking, meaning you need to unlock and prepare specific recipes through the cooking skill before you can donate them.
This bundle takes time and skill investment. You will need to steadily progress through cooking skill levels to unlock the recipes required for higher-tier contributions. Keep cooking regularly and the required items will become available as your skill grows.
Important tip for donating food: Your Parafolk will automatically try to eat cooked food the moment it is made. To donate a meal instead of letting your Para eat it, cook the item, wait for it to finish, then cancel your Para’s action the moment they sit down. Enter Build Mode quickly, select the abandoned food, and move it to your inventory before your Para tries to eat it again.
Technology Bundle (Blue Book)
The Technology bundle is the quickest and easiest of the four to complete. It only requires three specific items — the full Gemini gaming set, which consists of:
- A chair from the Gemini gaming set
- A computer from the Gemini gaming set
- A desk from the Gemini gaming set
Purchase all three items and donate them to finish this bundle entirely. Since it only requires three donations with no skill requirements or foraging involved, this is a great place to start if you want a quick early win at the community center.
What Rewards Do You Get for Community Center Donations?
Completing donation bundles at the community center helps restore the ruins over time. As you fulfill more bundles and contribute more items, the building is gradually rebuilt and upgraded. The community center transforms from a crumbling ruin into a functioning community space for all of Melino.
Each completed bundle tier also unlocks rewards for your household. These can include items, community upgrades, and other bonuses that benefit your Parafolk’s life in the town.
Community Center vs Museum — What Is the Difference?
Both the community center and the museum accept donations, but they work very differently.
- The museum accepts gems, mushrooms, and artifacts broadly. You can donate duplicates. Progress fills a bar that unlocks milestone rewards like money and trophies.
- The community center has four specific bundles. Each bundle has strict item requirements. You cannot donate random collectibles — only the exact items each bundle asks for will be accepted.
