TL;DR
- Quest name on the map: Disappearance Incident. It becomes Seeing Is Believing in the quest log once accepted.
- Quest giver: Violet at Hillside Blooms flower shop on Bluebeard Road, Bridge Crossings / Hankaku Street.
- Requires completing Prologue I – Unforeseen Yet Foretold first.
- The trickiest part is the “Sit Down and Organize Your Thoughts” clue-selection section.
- Correct clue answers: The flower shop incident is a scam → The info the scammer knows → Partially covering their face → Very familiar with the shop’s situation.
- The perpetrator is: Delivery service personnel.
- Completing this quest also unlocks the “Win Friends and Influence People” in-game achievement.
The Seeing Is Believing quest in Neverness to Everness is one of the first side quests you can tackle after finishing the opening prologue. Most of it is easy to follow with the quest tracker – but the investigation section near the end trips up a lot of players. You are asked to sit down, piece together the clues you have gathered, and then identify the person behind the scam. If you pick wrong, the game just tells you to try again, but that wastes time. This guide gives you every correct answer up front so you can breeze through it.

Step 1 – Speak with Violet
Go to Hillside Blooms and talk to Violet, the flower shop owner. He explains that someone sold him an anomaly called the Windbringer, which was supposedly going to make all the flowers in the area bloom within 24 hours. This would have helped him win the “Most Beautiful Shop of Hankaku” competition. The Windbringer has since disappeared and the whole thing smells like a scam.
Talk to Violet again to get the full details. This locks in the quest and sends you out to investigate.
Step 2 – Talk to Nearby Vendors
Head outside the flower shop and speak to two nearby shop owners:
- Leah – Fruit Shop Owner: Ask her about the Windbringer, the guy in sunglasses, and the “Most Beautiful Shop of Hankaku” competition. She has not personally met the scammer but gives you some background information and points you toward other shops.
- Uncle Prime – Butcher Shop Owner: Same questions. He also has not seen the person directly but adds to the picture of what happened in the area.
Both conversations give you useful context about how the scammer operates and confirm that the incidents are connected across multiple nearby businesses.
Step 3 – Check the DSD POP Shop Near the Square
Follow the quest marker to the DSD POP toy store near the plaza. Talk to Ekko, the staff member there.
Ekko tells you that a rude customer attacked her a few days back. The same person who sold the suspicious anomaly to Violet actually stepped in and helped her during that altercation. Ekko bought an anomaly from him too – and unlike Violet’s situation, hers seems to be working perfectly. She has a positive impression of him.
Step 4 – Check the Coffee Shop Across the Square
Head south of Hankaku Street to the 9°C Cafe. Speak with Grace, a staff member there.
Grace tells a completely different story. She says the same person deceived her by pretending he could communicate with deceased animals. He played on her emotions about her pet ferret that had died six months earlier. Like the others, he left a box at her shop before disappearing. This confirms he used different tactics with different victims depending on their emotional state.
Step 5 – Visit the Good Joe Vintage Shop
Follow the marker to the Good Joe Vintage Shop nearby. When you arrive, you will find two JTF (Joint Task Force) officers already speaking with the shop owner. Join the conversation. The Vintage Shop owner provides another account of being scammed in the same manner.
After this conversation, the game will ask you to sit down and organize everything you have learned.
Step 6 – Sit Down and Organize Your Thoughts (Correct Answers)
This is the part that confuses most players. A nearby chair or bench will be highlighted. Sit down and the game will prompt you to piece together your clues by selecting answers from a list. You need to pick the correct deduction at each step.
If you pick a wrong answer, the game simply tells you it is not correct and lets you try another option. There is no penalty for wrong choices – but picking the correct answers immediately saves time. Here are all four correct answers:
- Question 1: “First, the possible connection between the flower shop anomaly disappearance and the fraud cases is…”
✅ Correct Answer: The flower shop incident is a scam. - Topic 1 – The Scammer’s Area of Operation: “The scammer is familiar with this area and may be a frequenter. What clues back up this theory?”
✅ Correct Answer: The info the scammer knows. - Topic 2 – The Scammer’s Appearance: “Victims described a distinct characteristic, which is…”
✅ Correct Answer: Partially covering their face. - Topic 3 – Characteristics of the Scam: “From the victims’ experiences, we can see a common trait, which is…”
✅ Correct Answer: Very familiar with the shop’s situation.
Once you have selected all four correct answers, you will be ready to move to the final step.
Step 7 – Share Clues with the JTF Officers
Walk over to the two JTF officers standing nearby. Talk to the JTF Captain to share your findings. The game will now ask you who you think the perpetrator is.
The correct answer is: Delivery service personnel.
Specifically, the delivery staff member responsible for the Bridge Crossings area is behind the entire scheme. The JTF Captain will agree with your conclusion and the case will officially be closed.
Step 8 – Return to the Flower Shop
Go back to Hillside Blooms and speak to Violet one final time to wrap up the quest. He will thank you for solving the case. This triggers the completion of the Seeing Is Believing side quest and delivers all your rewards directly.

Tips for This Quest
- Activate quest tracking before you go. The quest marker system in NTE is very reliable, but only if you have the quest actively tracked. Set it before leaving the flower shop and the markers will guide you to every NPC.
- Wrong clue answers have no penalty. If you select an incorrect clue during the “organize your thoughts” section, the game simply rejects it and lets you try another. You do not lose progress or rewards for guessing wrong.
- Wertheimer Towers help uncover the map. If you have not already activated the Wertheimer Towers in Bridge Crossings, doing so will reveal quest markers for this and other nearby side quests on the map, making navigation much easier.
- Do this quest early. It is available right after Prologue I. The 60 Annulith reward is extremely useful in the first day of playing, so the sooner you finish it the better.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I pick the wrong clue during the “Organize Your Thoughts” section?
Nothing bad. The game will simply flag the choice as incorrect and allow you to try a different answer. There is no penalty, failed attempt counter, or reward reduction for getting it wrong.
Who is the perpetrator in the Seeing Is Believing quest?
The perpetrator is the delivery service personnel responsible for the Bridge Crossings area. This is the only correct answer when the JTF Captain asks you to name the culprit.
Where exactly do I find Violet to start the quest?
Violet is inside the Hillside Blooms flower shop on Bluebeard Road in the Bridge Crossings district, specifically in the Hankaku Street area. Look for the blue exclamation mark labeled “Disappearance Incident” on your map after completing Prologue I.
Can I do this quest before finishing the prologue?
No. You need to complete Prologue I – Unforeseen Yet Foretold first. After that, the quest becomes available as soon as you have free access to the city.
What is the achievement for completing this quest?
Finishing the Seeing Is Believing quest unlocks the “Win Friends and Influence People” in-game achievement.
Is 60 Annulith a good reward for a side quest?
Yes – it is one of the better Annulith payouts from an early side quest. Annulith is the premium pull currency used on the gacha banners. Getting 60 for free from a relatively short side mission is well worth the 10 to 15 minutes it takes to complete.
