Pokémon Pokopia’s Apples to Applin Event Starts November 16, Bringing New Pokémon and Rewards

Pokémon Pokopia is getting ready for another limited-time event, and this time, players will have a rather sweet reason to spend more time rebuilding their towns. The upcoming Apples to Applin event officially begins on November 16, bringing Applin and its four evolutions into the cozy life simulation game. Players will need to collect a special resource called Syrupy Apples, which can be exchanged for exclusive apple-themed furniture and decorations.

The event is another example of how Nintendo and the development teams are keeping Pokémon Pokopia fresh with smaller content drops between its bigger expansions. Since launching, the game has continued to receive free seasonal activities and premium DLC, giving players plenty of reasons to return even after completing their major town-building objectives.

Unlike a traditional live-service game, Pokémon Pokopia does not rely on a constant stream of competitive updates or battle passes. Instead, its limited-time activities revolve around meeting new Pokémon, collecting special items, and creating habitats. Apples to Applin follows that same formula, although the arrival of an entire evolution family makes this particular event especially exciting for Pokémon fans.

When Does the Pokémon Pokopia Apples to Applin Event Start?

The Pokémon Company has officially confirmed that the Apples to Applin event will begin on Monday, November 16, 2026, and remain available until the beginning of December. Here are the complete event timings:

    • Event Start: Monday, November 16, 2026, at 5:00 AM local time.
    • Event End: Tuesday, December 1, 2026, at 4:59 AM local time.
    • Duration: Approximately 15 days.
    • Required Game Version: Version 2.0.1 or later.
    • Platform: Nintendo Switch 2.

As the name suggests, the event revolves around Applin, the Apple Core Pokémon. During the event, Applin will visit the player’s town and ask Ditto for help collecting Syrupy Apples. These special items can then be exchanged for various decorations and furniture, allowing players to give their towns a completely different look.

However, the rewards are not limited to decorating your surroundings. Players can also use the new furniture to create special habitats that attract Applin’s evolutions, including Flapple, Appletun, Dipplin, and Hydrapple.

Applin and All Four Evolutions Are Coming to Pokémon Pokopia

The biggest attraction of Apples to Applin is undoubtedly the opportunity to befriend five Pokémon from the same evolutionary family. Applin is the main Pokémon featured in the event, but players will also have the chance to bring its four evolutions into their towns by creating the appropriate habitats.

    • Applin: The Grass and Dragon-type Apple Core Pokémon that serves as the main attraction of the event.
    • Flapple: One of Applin’s evolutions, known for its apple-inspired appearance and aggressive personality.
    • Appletun: A sweet-looking Pokémon with an apple pie-inspired design.
    • Dipplin: An unusual evolution featuring a candy-coated apple appearance.
    • Hydrapple: A powerful Dragon and Grass-type Pokémon with a multi-headed design.

Getting all five Pokémon should give players plenty of reasons to participate throughout the event. Rather than simply collecting a few decorations and calling it a day, the activity encourages players to experiment with different furniture combinations and build habitats that attract specific Pokémon.

For fans who enjoy collecting every available Pokémon in Pokopia, this is an event worth prioritizing. Having an entire evolutionary family arrive together is a nice addition, particularly for players who missed out on previous limited-time activities.

How to Participate in the Apples to Applin Event

Getting started with Apples to Applin is relatively straightforward, but players will need to meet a few requirements before the event becomes available. First, make sure Pokémon Pokopia is running software version 2.0.1 or later. Players can check their current version through the Options tab on the Nintendo Switch 2 HOME menu.

There is another important requirement that players should not overlook. You must complete an important request in your town and rebuild the Pokémon Center before participating in the event. Simply installing the latest update will not be enough if you have not progressed far enough in the main game.

Players should also make sure their Nintendo Switch 2 has the correct date and time settings. The console needs to match the actual date and time for the limited-time activity to appear. An internet connection is also required when starting the event for the first time.

One additional detail worth remembering is that Apples to Applin does not take place on Cloud Islands or in Bubbly Basin. Players should return to their eligible town to enjoy the event.

The good news is that Pokémon you successfully befriend during Apples to Applin will remain in your town even after the event ends. This means players do not have to worry about losing their new Pokémon when the December 1 deadline arrives.

Pokémon Pokopia’s Previous Halloween Event Set a Good Example

Apples to Applin follows another seasonal activity that recently wrapped up in Pokémon Pokopia. Known as Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises, the Halloween event ran from October 17 through November 1 and introduced Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist to the game.

Much like the upcoming apple-themed activity, the Halloween event asked players to collect a special resource called Pumpkin Candy. Players could exchange their collected candy for a selection of seasonal decorations and furniture, including Ghost-type balloons and a Pikachu-shaped Jack-O’-Lantern.

However, there was a fun twist to collecting the event currency. Players had to use Ditto’s Camouflage ability to disguise themselves as different objects and furniture pieces to scare other Pokémon. It was a creative way to make the Halloween activity feel different from the usual resource-gathering tasks.

The Apples to Applin event appears to be following a similar structure, although its focus is more on collecting Syrupy Apples and building habitats. If the previous event is anything to go by, players can expect another enjoyable activity that encourages them to experiment with their town layouts.

Dazzling Decorations DLC Is Arriving on December 9

Free seasonal events are not the only content coming to Pokémon Pokopia. The Pokémon Company has also confirmed that the second part of the game’s Expansion Pass, known as Dazzling Decorations, will launch on December 9, 2026.

Following the first expansion, Bubbly Basin, the upcoming paid DLC will focus heavily on customization. Players will be able to dress up Ditto and their Pokémon friends with different accessories, including sunglasses, bow ties, and special items such as a Sylveon ribbon.

The expansion will also introduce additional Pokémon and furniture, giving players even more options for customizing their towns and interacting with their Pokémon companions. However, unlike Bubbly Basin, Dazzling Decorations will not introduce a new town to explore.

Players who purchase the Expansion Pass will also need to install the free version 3.0.0 software update before accessing the new content. There are additional progression requirements involving the Withered Wasteland town, including completing the requests to raise its environment level, rebuild the Pokémon Center, and find a doll for Drifloon.

For players who have already purchased the Expansion Pass, the December release should provide another reason to return to the game. Meanwhile, the third part of the expansion is planned for 2027 and is expected to introduce another town, additional Pokémon, and more furniture.

Pokémon Pokopia Players Have Plenty to Look Forward to in November

With Apples to Applin arriving on November 16 and Dazzling Decorations following on December 9, Pokémon Pokopia has a fairly busy schedule ahead. The upcoming event might not introduce a completely new area or a major gameplay system, but adding five Pokémon from Applin’s evolutionary family is still a welcome treat for collectors.

The limited-time nature of the activity also gives players a good reason to return before the end of November. Those who want to collect every available Pokémon should make sure they have installed the required update and rebuilt their Pokémon Center before the event begins.

It is also encouraging to see The Pokémon Company continuing to support the game with free activities alongside its paid Expansion Pass content. Not every update needs to introduce a massive new region to keep players interested, and Apples to Applin looks like another charming addition to the game’s growing collection of seasonal events.
