Where to find Skippy’s Leaf in Aniimo is one of those hidden side quests that many players walk right past. If you spot a leafless little Skippy sitting sadly by the riverbank and have no idea what to do, this guide is for you. Below is the full step-by-step walkthrough.
TL;DR — Skippy’s Leaf Quick Summary
- Find Patini (a sad leafless Skippy) on the right side of the Nimbus Fields riverbank.
- You must have a Skippy in your party (Twine with one) to talk to him.
- Catch a Pranky, then Twine with it and head downriver past the cascade.
- A Pranky is sleeping on Patini’s Lotus Leaf just past the waterfall — on the right side.
- Choose the dialogue option “How about some exercise?” to get the leaf back.
- Return the Lotus Leaf to Patini and get a hidden treasure chest as your reward.
What Is the Skippy’s Leaf Quest in Aniimo?
This is a hidden Discovery quest — the kind Aniimo hides away for curious players who explore off the main path. It does not appear on your quest log by itself. You have to stumble across it or know where to look.
The quest involves a Skippy NPC named Patini. He has lost his Lotus Leaf and is sitting alone by the riverbank looking very unhappy. If you help him get it back, he rewards you with the location of a hidden treasure chest packed with useful items for your journey through Idyll.
This is a short quest, but it is easy to miss — and even easier to get stuck on if you do not know what conditions you need to meet first.
Where To Find Patini (The Sad Skippy) in Aniimo
Patini is found in the Nimbus Fields area in the Argent Strait zone, roughly at coordinates (-1307, 706).
Here is how to get there:
- Follow Nicole during the early main story section through Nimbus Fields.
- As you head down the river, look to the right side of the riverbank.
- You will see a couple of Skippys swimming in the water nearby.
- Keep going along the riverbank. You will spot a strange creature hiding among the rocks on the right shore.
- That is Patini — a Skippy with no leaf on his head.
He will not say much at first. He just stands there looking lost.

How To Start the Quest — Twine With a Skippy First
This is the step that trips players up the most. You cannot simply walk up to Patini and interact normally.
You must have a Skippy in your party and be Twined with it before Patini will talk to you.
Since Skippy spawns right there in the river, catch one before you reach Patini. Once you have a Skippy in your party, Twine with it. Now talk to Patini and he will explain that his Lotus Leaf has gone missing. This officially starts the quest.

How To Find Skippy’s Lotus Leaf — The Sleeping Pranky
After talking to Patini, you now need to find his missing Lotus Leaf. It is not lying on the ground somewhere. A Pranky has taken it and is sleeping on top of it.
Step 1: Catch a Pranky
You need a Pranky in your party for the next part. Pranky is Skippy’s evolved form and it spawns in the same river area in Nimbus Fields, near the western bank.
Catch one using a Regular Aniipod. Pranky should not be too hard to find near the riverbanks where Skippy also spawns.
Step 2: Twine With Pranky and Head Downriver
Now Twine with your new Pranky. Head downstream along the river past the cascade (the waterfall). Keep going past the waterfall and look to your right side.
You will see a Pranky sleeping on the ground. That Pranky is sleeping directly on top of Patini’s missing Lotus Leaf.
Step 3: Talk to the Sleeping Pranky
Interact with the sleeping Pranky. You will get into a dialogue. He will not give the leaf up easily — he says he cannot sleep well and that is why he took the leaf.
When the dialogue option appears, choose: “How about some exercise?”
This convinces the Pranky to give up the Lotus Leaf. You will receive the Lotus Leaf item after this dialogue.
How To Return the Lotus Leaf to Patini
Now head back to Patini on the riverbank. Before you talk to him, make sure you Twine with your Skippy again. Just like when you started the quest, you need to be in Skippy form for Patini to respond to you.
Talk to Patini and deliver the Lotus Leaf. You will see a short cutscene play out. Patini will be reunited with his leaf — and as a thank-you, he will reveal the location of a hidden treasure chest nearby. This chest contains a good collection of valuable items that will help you on your adventure through Idyll.

Why Skippy and Pranky Are the Same Aniimo Family
The reason a Pranky had Patini’s leaf in the first place makes more sense when you know the family tree. Skippy evolves into Pranky at level 12. Pranky then evolves at level 20 into either Glacy (using a Wave Stone) or Leafy (using a Sprout Stone after defeating the Alpha Leafy).
Skippy, Pranky, Glacy, and Leafy are all part of the same Aniimo family. They all have a connection to lotus leaves — it is part of their identity in the game world.
The Prismana form of Glacy is considered one of the strongest Aniimo in the game, so this family is well worth investing in early. Check out our guide on which free Prismana to choose in Aniimo to see if Glacy is the right pick for your team.

What Reward Do You Get for Finding Skippy’s Leaf?
After you return the Lotus Leaf to Patini, he tells you the location of a hidden treasure chest. The chest contains multiple valuables useful for your early-to-mid game progression. It is not a fixed single item — it is a chest with a collection of goodies.
This makes the quest genuinely worth doing, not just for the lore but for the actual rewards. It is an easy chest to miss if you skip the quest.
