    By Eva Roberts · September 18, 2026 · 10 min read
    How to Heal in Aniimo

How to heal in Aniimo is something every new player needs to figure out fast. Your Aniimo’s HP does not recover on its own between fights. Once health is gone, it stays gone until you actively restore it. This guide covers every healing method in the game — from quick field heals to the best Heal-role Aniimo to keep in your party.

TL;DR — How to Heal in Aniimo

    • Stand near a Bloom on the map to slowly regenerate HP for your whole team.
    • Rest at a Bonfire to restore HP for both your Pathfinder and all Aniimo.
    • Talk to Healer Kim at any Outpost for a free full heal — no cost.
    • Unlock the Heal active skill (1 Report Card at Student 1) to heal during combat.
    • Keep a Heal-role Aniimo like Flutternym, Pranky, or Glacy in your party for in-fight healing.

    Why Healing Matters in Aniimo

HP does not regenerate by itself in Aniimo. Once your Aniimo takes damage in a fight, that HP stays missing. This becomes a real problem as you face tougher enemies, bosses, and dungeons.

The good news is that the game gives you several ways to recover HP — some work in the field, some work inside combat, and some require preparation. Knowing all of them is the key to surviving harder content without constantly running back to the Outpost.

    How to Heal in Aniimo

All Ways to Heal in Aniimo

    1. Use a Bloom

    bloom in aniimo

Blooms are the most common healing method while exploring the open world. They are scattered all across the map in Idyll’s sandbox regions. Think of them as resting checkpoints tied to fast travel.

Simply walk up to a Bloom and interact with it. Once activated, it creates an area around it that slowly restores HP for your Pathfinder and all your Aniimo. Stay near it until your team is healed up.

This makes Blooms ideal for healing between fights while exploring. The downside is clear — they are not there when you need them most, like during a boss fight or inside a dungeon.

You can also teleport to any Bloom you have already unlocked on the map. This instantly takes you to its healing aura, which is great for a quick top-up before a tough encounter.

Learn how to unlock fast travel for Blooms in our guide on how to fast travel in Aniimo.

    2. Rest at a Bonfire

Bonfires are another reliable healing spot in Aniimo. Interacting with a Bonfire restores HP for both your Pathfinder and all your Aniimo in the current party.

This is a good option when you are between zones or preparing for a big fight. Like the Outpost healer, it resets your team to full without using any resources.

    3. Talk to Healer Kim at the Outpost

    Healer Kim
    Healer Kim

Healer Kim is an NPC located at the Outpost — the starting hub area in Idyll where you begin your journey after the tutorial. She is completely free to use with no cost and no cooldown.

Walk up to her, select the “Heal Aniimo” option, and she will fully restore the HP of every Aniimo in your party along with your Pathfinder.

This is the best option for a full reset before heading into new areas or story content. The only downside is the travel time to get back to the Outpost.

    4. Unlock and Use the Heal Active Skill

The Heal active skill is a character ability for your Pathfinder. When you use it, your character sprinkles healing dust on the active Aniimo in the field to restore a portion of its HP.

This skill has a 15-second cooldown and cannot be used while you are currently Twined with an Aniimo. It is the main way to heal your team while controlling the Pathfinder directly during combat — especially in Command Mode.

How to Unlock the Heal Skill

You cannot use the Heal skill straight away. Here is how to unlock it:

    • Progress through the main story until you complete the first level of Elite Training and earn the Beginner Student character title.
    • Open the pause menu and go to Character, then select the Talents tab from the top right.
    • Spend 1 Report Card on the Heal skill — it is the first skill on the left side of the talent tree.

Once unlocked, Heal is available both in exploration and during combat in Command Mode. It is one of the most useful early unlocks in the game, so spend your first Report Card on it as soon as you hit Student 1.

    5. Use Heal-Role Aniimo in Your Party

This is the only way to recover HP actively while inside a fight. Heal-role Aniimo have skills that restore HP to themselves, specific allies, or the whole party. Having one in your party is essential for harder content.

Healer Aniimo skills scale off the healer’s own max HP — so bulkier healers heal harder. This means building HP on your healer is always a good idea.

    Best Healing Aniimo in Aniimo

There are seven Aniimo with the Heal role in the game at launch (two are not yet released). Here are the best available ones to use right now:

Skippy and Pranky — Best Early Healer

    pranky aniimo
    pranky aniimo

Skippy is the first Heal-role Aniimo most players encounter. Its Healing Water skill restores HP to the caster and all allies over 5 seconds, scaling off its own HP. It is a solid pocket healer while it is leveling up.

Skippy evolves into Pranky at level 12. Pranky carries the same healing role with stronger stats and a bigger healer impact. It spawns in Nimbus Fields, Mistwoods, Beast Fang Ridge, Forest of Falling Stars, and the Argent Strait.

You can also catch Skippy from the very beginning of the game in Nimbus Fields. Check our full guide on getting and hatching Aniimo eggs to start building your healer line early.

    Glacy — Best Mid-Game Healer

Glacy is widely considered one of the best healers in the game. It evolves from Pranky at level 20 using a Wave Stone. Its ultimate, Spring of Life, creates a water zone that heals all allies inside it for 36% of Glacy’s max HP over 6 seconds — with no EP cost and just an 8-second cooldown.

Glacy also has Glimmer Shot in the Prismana form, which raises the entire team’s damage output by 15% for 20 seconds. This makes Prismana Glacy not just a healer but a strong team buffer too.

You can potentially get a free Prismana Glacy from the Prismana Pact starter event once you reach the Warrior 1 title. See our guide on which free Prismana to choose in Aniimo before you decide.

Flutternym — Best All-Around Early Healer

Flutternym is found in Nimbus Fields early in the game, and it is arguably the best early healer to invest in. Here is what makes it special:

    Flutternym Aniimo
    Flutternym Aniimo
    • While off the field, it appears as a phantom companion and passively restores HP to active teammates when they use skills or ultimates.
    • It has a cleanse ability that removes debuffs from nearby allies and gives them 20% EP recovery boost for 10 seconds.
    • It has an area heal that restores the whole team’s HP over time.

Flutternym does three jobs at once: healing, debuff cleansing, and energy support. That is rare and very powerful in the early game.

    Gracewing — Best Late-Game Healer

    Gracewing
    Gracewing

Gracewing is Flutternym’s evolution and the best healer in the game at endgame. It keeps everything Flutternym does and adds more. Its Help! Gracewing! skill heals the entire team for 30% of max HP instantly. It also spawns Phantomfly entities that restore 20 EP to any teammate who touches them.

Gracewing is the top pick for endgame teams and outclasses every other healer once you have it.

Heal vs Regen — What Is the Difference in Aniimo?

New players often confuse Heal and Regen roles. They are not the same thing:

    • Heal restores HP directly. You use a skill and HP comes back right away. Best for emergency recovery during fights.
    • Regen restores HP over time. It is more about sustaining your team’s HP slowly rather than topping up quickly. Leafy is a top example of the Regen role.

Both are useful. A Heal-role Aniimo saves you in a crisis. A Regen Aniimo keeps the team topped off passively over longer fights. For tough content, having at least one of each in your team is ideal.

To understand how elements and roles interact across all Aniimo, see our Aniimo element chart.

Tips for Healing More Efficiently in Aniimo

    • Always unlock the Heal skill first — it is only 1 Report Card at Student 1 and gives you an in-combat heal option right away.
    • Activate every Bloom you see — they also serve as fast travel points, so activating them gives you both healing and fast travel access.
    • Keep at least one Heal-role Aniimo in your party — there is no substitute for in-combat healing during boss fights.
    • Build HP on your healer — since healing scales off the healer’s own max HP, a bulkier healer heals harder.
    • Visit Healer Kim before exploring new zones — starting a new area at full HP gives you a big buffer.
    • Use Twining smartly — if you Twine into your Heal Aniimo during a fight, you can use its skills directly for faster HP recovery.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do you heal Aniimo during combat?

The only ways to heal during combat are to use a Heal-role Aniimo’s healing skills or to use the Pathfinder’s Heal active skill in Command Mode. Blooms, Bonfires, and Healer Kim cannot be accessed mid-fight.

How do I unlock the Heal skill in Aniimo?

Reach the Beginner Student character title by completing the first Elite Training mission. Then open the pause menu, go to Character, select the Talents tab, and spend 1 Report Card on the Heal skill — it is the first option on the left.

Does HP regenerate automatically in Aniimo?

No. HP does not regenerate on its own in Aniimo. You must actively heal using Blooms, Bonfires, Healer Kim, the Heal skill, or a healer Aniimo’s skills.

Where is Healer Kim in Aniimo?

Healer Kim is located at the Outpost in Idyll — the starting hub area. Talk to her and select the “Heal Aniimo” option to fully restore your entire party at no cost.

What is the best healing Aniimo in Aniimo?

At endgame, Gracewing is the best healer — it provides instant full-party heals, passive phantom healing, and EP support. Early in the game, Flutternym is the best all-round choice because it heals, cleanses debuffs, and boosts EP recovery all at once. Glacy is excellent in the mid game and offers a free Prismana form as a starter event reward.

What is the difference between Heal and Regen Aniimo?

Heal-role Aniimo restore HP directly and instantly with their skills. Regen-role Aniimo restore HP gradually over time through passive effects. Heal is better for emergencies; Regen is better for sustained fights. Both roles are worth using in your team.

Can I heal the Pathfinder character in Aniimo?

Yes. Healer Kim at the Outpost and Bonfires both restore HP to the Pathfinder and all Aniimo together. Blooms also restore Pathfinder HP alongside your Aniimo while you stand near them.
