The “Search for Little Lu” objective in Where Winds Meet can be genuinely confusing. It happens deep inside the Unbound Cavern—one of those underground areas where everything looks similar and the quest markers aren’t exactly helpful.
This objective is part of the Accident main story quest in Chapter 2: Universal Furnace. It unlocks after completing the previous quest, Reunion, and requires you to be at least Level 52. The quest kicks off after you discover that Little Lu has been taken by a group tied to the Human Market—your job is to track her down before she disappears deeper into the criminal network. This objective is actually the final piece of a larger puzzle where you’re searching for three sisters: Fu, Shou, and Lu. As it turns out, these three are the very same Dao Lord you just defeated.
The game gets weirdly vague here, which is why so many players end up wandering around the Ghostlight Market wondering where the heck this kid is hiding. Let me walk you through exactly where to go and what to do.
Where to Find Little Lu in Where Winds Meet
Step 1: Explore the Ghostlight Market
After you take down Dao Lord (and discover the three sisters’ true identity), follow the path that leads into the Ghostlight Market. Once you’re inside, head toward the front section of the market. You’re looking for Horse-Face, an NPC casually leaning against a stone pillar.
Near him, you’ll spot pieces of Little Fu’s clothing scattered on the ground. This is your first real clue.
Activate Wind Sense (your tracking ability) to reveal her glowing footsteps. Follow the trail until it stops at a Strange Barrel nearby. Interact with it, and boom—Little Fu is hiding inside.
She won’t give up the location of the other girls right away, but she will start following you around. Keep Wind Sense active and continue tracking.

Step 2: Search the Market for Little Shou First
Keep following those Wind Sense footprints. They’ll lead you deeper into the Ghostlight Market, eventually stopping behind the counter of a small shop. Walk around to the back of the counter—Little Shou is not visible from the doorway. Get close enough and an interaction prompt will appear. This is where Little Shou is hiding.
Interact with her to trigger a conversation. The girls will finally start explaining their side of the story. Turns out, they don’t actually have the real Gold-Making Vessel (Treasure Basin)—they made a fake one themselves. Classic kids-in-over-their-heads situation.
They mention that Little Lu knows more, which means she’s your final target.

Step 3: Bluff to Lure Out Little Lu
Here’s where things get a bit dramatic. The Young Wanderer (that’s you) can bluff about threatening the girls to force Little Lu to reveal herself. It’s not a real threat—just a tactic to get her to come out of hiding.
And it works. Little Lu shows herself briefly—you can spot her on a nearby rooftop.
Step outside the shop, climb up to the roof level, and activate Wind Sense again. Her glowing footprints trail across the rooftop and drop off the edge toward a darker, lower section of the Ghostlight Market.
Important note: The footprint trail might look like it stretches way off into the distance, but that’s a visual trick. Drop down from the roof—Little Lu is hiding very close to where the footprints start, underneath a small shed/tarp below the rooftop. Don’t waste time running all over the market. She’s directly below you.
Step 4: Find Little Lu and Make a Choice
Once you drop down and approach the tarp, an interaction prompt will appear. Interact with it to finally find Little Lu. The quest then presents a decision point with two options:
- Hand the girls over to the authorities
- Ask them to tell you the truth
If you choose to hear them out, Little Lu finally comes clean. The fake Gold-Making Vessel was part of a scheme to pass off counterfeit coins as real ones. With Kaifeng dealing with a serious coin shortage, this was basically their survival strategy. Questionable? Sure. Understandable given the circumstances? Also yes.

Step 5: Return to Pale Stitches
Head back to Pale Stitches, the small shop where Little Fu and Little Shou are waiting. The group reunites, and you can press them for more details.
The girls explain how they smuggled Tang coins into Kaifeng. They insist on visiting the docks next, where the Ghost Market still accepts Tang coins as payment.
Follow them to the docks and finish the conversation. Once that wraps up, the Accident Quest in the Universal Furnace chapter officially ends.
