Ubisoft has dropped the full patch notes for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Title Update 1.06, rolling out today, August 4, at 14:00 UTC (10:00 AM EST / 7:00 AM PST). This one’s a meaty stability patch with a long list of bug fixes across gameplay, visuals, audio, and UI — plus a couple of community-requested quality of life additions that players have been waiting for since launch. Here’s everything in the update.
Download Sizes for Title Update 1.06
- Xbox Series X/S — 15.2 GB
- PlayStation 5 — 5.03 GB
- PC (Epic/Ubisoft Connect) — 3.7 GB
- PC (Steam) — 1.8 GB
New Features and Quality of Life Changes
Blowpipe toggle added. This was one of the most requested features since launch. Edward’s blowpipe is now hideable from the outfit screen in the inventory — look for the new Hide Gear / Show Gear button prompt. The blowpipe retains full functionality in combat whether it’s visible or not, so this is purely a cosmetic option for players who prefer a cleaner look on Edward’s back.
Hood toggle bug fixed. This is the other big one. A previous update accidentally broke the hood toggle — one of the most popular QoL features in the game, which lets players keep the hood up or down even during cinematic moments like the Leap of Faith. Title Update 1.06 restores it fully. If you’ve been holding off on the Leap of Faith screenshots, now’s your moment.
Autosave slots increased from 5 to 10. Players can now load from up to 10 earlier save points instead of the previous five. Useful for anyone who found themselves stuck with no good recovery option after a mission went sideways.

About Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
For those who’ve been on the fence: Black Flag Resynced isn’t a simple remaster. Game director Richard Knight confirmed that none of the original 2013 code could be reused due to how different the underlying engine was — the team rebuilt the entire game on Ubisoft’s Anvil Engine from the ground up, using the original assets only as reference points. Changes extend beyond visuals: the remake adds back ejects, side ejects, manual crouch, revised tailing and eavesdropping missions that no longer auto-fail on detection, more precise parry-based combat, expanded underwater exploration, recruitable Jackdaw officers, dynamic weather affecting ship handling, and additional story content featuring Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet. It has been one of Ubisoft’s stronger critical and commercial performances in recent memory.
Title Update 1.06 is a solid stability pass rather than a content drop, but the blowpipe toggle, hood toggle restoration, and expanded autosave system are all things that actively improve the day-to-day experience of playing the game. Patch is live today across all platforms.
