- The Dream House is Dylan’s Sketchbook entry #6, located in the Evacuation Zone — one of 11 scenes needed for the Work-Life Balance trophy.
- It sits on the rooftop of the Railyard Street Station building in the northern part of the Evacuation Zone.
- Enter the Mold-infested building and take the staircase all the way up to reach the rooftop puzzle area.
- Watch for Mold enemies on the stairs — clear them before engaging with the puzzle.
- You need six pieces to complete the model house: the house wall, house roof, chimney, potted plant, cat statue, and dog statue.
- All six pieces are on the same rooftop — nothing is in another building or street level.
- The dog statue is the trickiest to find — it is on the upper roof section, easy to miss from ground level.
- Once complete, press R3 to Draw and unlock the Dream House Sketchbook entry in Archives.
What Is the Dream House Puzzle in Control Resonant?
The Dream House puzzle is Dylan’s Sketchbook entry #6 in Control Resonant. Dylan comes across a small unfinished model house on the rooftop of a Mold-covered building in the Evacuation Zone. The pieces to complete it have been scattered around the same rooftop. Put them all back, and Dylan sketches the finished model — adding the Dream House drawing to his Sketchbook in Archives.
It is one of two Sketchbook scenes in the Evacuation Zone (the other being Robotics / Cool Robot). The Dream House has six pieces — the most of any single scene alongside Game Night — but unlike Game Night, all six pieces are on the same rooftop. Nothing requires going to a separate building. The only reason players get stuck is the dog statue on the upper roof, which is easy to walk past without noticing.
Requirements Before You Can Start
The Dream House rooftop is accessed via the staircase inside the Railyard Street Station building, which is Mold-infested. You will encounter Mold enemies on the way up. No specific traversal ability is required to reach the stairs or the rooftop itself — the building’s interior staircase is walkable on foot.
That said, having the Reach ability makes navigating the Evacuation Zone much easier overall. Reach is unlocked from The Subway Fault in the Evacuation Zone, which you complete during the main story. The Dream House rooftop can actually be found while doing The Subway Fault — it is an optional stop right along the way.
Having the fire ability (Ignite or Inferno from the Deserter boss) is also helpful against the Mold enemies on the staircase. Our Central Resonant Walkthrough covers how to unlock those fire abilities.
Where to Find the Dream House Puzzle in the Evacuation Zone
The puzzle is on the rooftop of the Railyard Street Station building in the northern part of the Evacuation Zone. From the Railyard Street fast travel door, head south — the building is nearby, southeast of the station, marked on the map with a secret prompt (? icon) once you get close.
Enter the building through the main door at ground level. The interior is covered in Mold and Mold enemies patrol the staircase. Clear the enemies before going upstairs — fighting while carrying puzzle pieces back down can be disorienting. Once the path is clear, take the staircase all the way up to the rooftop.
On the roof, you will see a small unfinished model playhouse with a light illuminating it. Walk up to it and interact with it using L1 / LB. The prompt reads Dream house. Dylan comments that it looks like the building blocks of a house and that he wants to build it. All six missing pieces now appear as jigsaw-piece puzzle icons on your mini-map radar.
Dream House Puzzle Solution — All Six Pieces
Every piece is on the same rooftop. Use the mini-map to track them down.

Piece 1 — House Wall (Front Exterior Board)
Where to find it: Next to the blue tarp on the rooftop, close to the model house itself.
Where to place it: On the front exterior of the house frame. This is one of the two wooden board pieces — note that the roof piece and the wall piece are different colors and textures, so do not swap them.
Piece 2 — House Roof (Roof Panel)
Where to find it: Near a pile of wooden planks or boards on the rooftop.
Where to place it: On top of the house to cover the missing roof section. The roof panel has a distinct slanted shape. If you accidentally try to put it where the wall goes, it will not snap in correctly — swap them.
Piece 3 — Chimney
Where to find it: Near the same area as the wall board — check near the blue mattress or close to the lumber stack on the rooftop.
Where to place it: On top of the house, sitting on the roof. It slots into the chimney position on the roof structure.

Piece 4 — Potted Plant
Where to find it: On top of or beside the large pile of wooden planks near where the roof piece is.
Where to place it: On the wooden plank in front of the house, to one side of the entrance. The exact position is highlighted when you carry it close to the model.
Piece 5 — Cat Statue
Where to find it: On top of a pile of bricks somewhere on the rooftop — check around the edges and corners of the roof area.
Where to place it: On the left side of the board in front of the house, beside the potted plant.

Piece 6 — Dog Statue (Easiest to Miss)
Where to find it: On the upper roof section — a raised area above the main rooftop level. This is the piece most players walk straight past. Look up and around the rooftop for a higher platform or ledge; the dog statue is sitting up there. Your mini-map icon will point you toward it.
Where to place it: Between the potted plant and the cat statue in front of the house — so the order from left to right on the front plank is: cat statue, dog statue, potted plant (or the reverse depending on orientation).
Placement Summary at a Glance
- House wall (textured board) → front exterior of the house frame
- House roof (slanted panel) → top of the house, covering the open roof
- Chimney → on top of the roof
- Potted plant → wooden plank in front of the house
- Cat statue → left side of the front board
- Dog statue → between the plant and the cat statue on the front board
How to Complete and Draw the Scene
Once all six pieces are placed, Dylan says “Done” — that is your confirmation. Step back from the model and press R3 (PlayStation) / right stick click (Xbox) / Alt (PC) to Draw. Dylan sketches the completed little house and remarks that it reminds him of his grandmother’s place.
The Dream House Sketchbook entry is added to Archives → Dylan’s Sketchbook. You also receive 1 Undefined Reading collectible document. This counts as one of the 11 scenes toward the Work-Life Balance trophy.
Common Issues With the Dream House Puzzle
I Cannot Find All Six Pieces
The dog statue on the upper rooftop is the one that gets missed most often. After placing the other five pieces, check your mini-map for any remaining puzzle icon — if one is still showing, look for a raised ledge or upper section of the roof above you. The dog statue is up there.
All six pieces are confirmed to be on the same rooftop. You do not need to go back downstairs or into any other building.
The Roof Piece and Wall Piece Look the Same
They are easy to confuse at a distance. The roof panel is slanted and fits the angular top of the house frame. The wall board is flatter and goes on the vertical front face of the house. If one does not snap into place, try the other spot — swapping them is the usual fix.
There Are Mold Enemies on the Staircase
Clear them before going up. With fire abilities from the Deserter fight, Mold enemies are much quicker to burn down. If you are doing this early before the Patterned Factory, bring your strongest Aberrant form and use abilities to break their Falter quickly. Our Beginner Tips guide has advice on handling tougher enemy types early in the game.
What Else Is in the Evacuation Zone?
While you are in this zone, there are a few other side activities worth doing. The second Evacuation Zone Sketchbook scene — Robotics / Cool Robot — is in the southwest corner of the zone inside a warehouse. The Dream House and Robotics scenes together give you two of the 11 total Sketchbook entries from a single zone.
If you are working through the full Sketchbook list, these are the other scenes to track down:
- Spaceship Landing Puzzle — Space Adventure scene in the Underpass.
- Game Night Puzzle — The final scene in The Unknown Zone (requires Pope’s Research).
- Birdwatcher’s Paradise — Rooftop Oasis scene in Downtown.
Control Resonant is available on PlayStation Store, Steam, Xbox, and Epic Games Store.
