- The Intense Precision trophy requires keeping Dominance active for a full 60 continuous seconds.
- Dominance is triggered by filling an enemy’s Falter bar, then pressing L3 (left stick) to Execute them.
- Each Execution extends Dominance by 8 seconds — chain them fast enough to hit the 60-second mark.
- You must unlock the Dominance talent in the Gap before this will work.
- Using Assist Mode (One-Hit Falters) does not block the trophy — it is the fastest method.
- The Gap training arena is the safest and most reliable spot to farm this.
What Is the Intense Precision Trophy in Control Resonant?
The Intense Precision trophy is a Bronze trophy (or 10 Gamerscore on Xbox) in Control Resonant. The requirement is simple on paper: keep Dylan’s Dominance flow state active for 60 consecutive seconds.
Sounds easy, but Dominance only lasts 8 seconds on its own. You have to keep chaining Executions before the meter runs out. Let it drop even for a split second and you start the count all over again.
What Is Dominance and How Does It Work?
Dominance is a combat flow state that activates every time you Execute a staggered enemy. To Execute, you first need to fill the yellow Falter bar at the bottom of an enemy’s health bar, then press L3 (left stick) when the prompt appears.
When Dominance is active:
- Your Primary and Combo Finisher damage increases by 100%
- Your Secondary damage increases by 50%
- A white Dominance icon appears in the bottom-left corner of the screen — watch it closely
Each Execution you land resets the 8-second Dominance timer, not adds to it. So you need a constant supply of enemies to Execute. Do that for a full 60 seconds and the trophy unlocks automatically.
You must first buy the Dominance talent from the Gap talent tree. Without it, Executions exist but Dominance does not activate at all.
Method 1: Assisted Method (Easiest and Recommended)
This is the fastest and most reliable way to get Intense Precision, especially early in the game. Assist Mode carries no trophy penalty — every trophy and achievement is still available with all Assist settings enabled, including Immortality and One-Hit Kills.
Step 1: Enable One-Hit Falters in Assist Mode
From a loaded save, pause the game and go to Options → Gameplay → Assist Mode → Enable. Once Assist Mode is on, scroll down and check the box for One-Hit Falters.
With this setting on, a single hit fills any enemy’s Falter bar instantly — no need to build pressure at all. You can land one hit and go straight to Execution. For a full breakdown of every Assist Mode setting, check our Control Resonant Assist Mode Settings guide.
Step 2: Go to the Gap Training Arena
Open the Gap from the pause menu (or press Down on the D-pad on controller, or G on keyboard). Inside the Gap, look for the large stone near the stone circle where you bought your talents. Interact with it to access the training arena.
The training dummy here respawns infinitely every few seconds. You will never run out of targets.
Step 3: Chain Executions for 60 Seconds
Hit the training dummy once — with One-Hit Falters enabled, its Falter bar fills instantly. Press L3 to Execute. Dominance activates. Keep repeating. The dummy respawns fast enough that you can maintain a steady Execution loop without gaps.
Watch the white Dominance icon in the bottom-left. As long as it does not disappear, your 60-second timer is counting up. The trophy notification pops in the top-right corner the moment you hit the 60-second mark.
Alternative Spot: Open World Enemy Cluster
If you do not want to go into the Gap, any large group of enemies in the open world works fine. With One-Hit Falters on, you can blitz through a mob and chain Executions quickly. Just make sure there are enough enemies nearby so you are not waiting around between kills.
Method 2: Legit Method (No Assist Mode)
If you want to unlock Intense Precision without touching Assist Mode, it takes a bit more prep — but the right build makes it very manageable.

Best Talents for Dominance Chaining
- Extended Dominance — Raises Dominance duration from 8 seconds to 15 seconds per Execution. This is the single most important talent to grab first. With it, you have nearly double the time to land your next Execute before Dominance drops.
- Dominance (base talent) — Must be purchased before any Dominance state can trigger.
Best Artifacts for Intense Precision
Equip these three Artifacts together to turn Dylan into a Falter machine:
- Golden Earrings — Increases Falter by +20% but reduces Damage by -30%. The damage reduction actually helps here because it keeps enemies alive longer, giving you more time to execute them instead of killing them outright. Unlock it by completing The Underpass Resonant quest and defeating The Physicist at the top of the Spire.
- Framing Hammer — Combat abilities deal +30% Falter but no damage at all. Again, the no-damage part is a benefit — abilities build Falter without accidentally killing enemies before you Execute.
- Practice Knot — Adds +15% Falter against Heavy Enemies, useful if you are fighting tougher targets in the open world.
Together, these Artifacts let you Falter enemies extremely fast — often in just a couple of hits or a single ability use. For more on finding and crafting Artifacts, see our Control Resonant All Artifacts Guide.
The Legit Execution Rhythm
With Extended Dominance and the above Artifacts equipped, here is the timing to aim for:
- Execute an enemy to start Dominance.
- Immediately turn to the next enemy and start building Falter.
- Wait for the Dominance meter to drop to around halfway before landing the next Execution — do not Execute immediately, because you need enough time to reach the next target after that.
- Repeat the cycle. With 15-second Dominance windows, you only need to chain around four to five Executions to hit 60 seconds.
Find a fight with a medium-to-large enemy group so you always have a fresh target ready. The West Point area and the SHUM missions are both popular spots for this.

Does Dominance Need to Be Bought First?
Yes. Dominance is a talent you must purchase in the Gap before it activates during combat. If you have been Executing enemies but see no Dominance icon on screen, head to the Gap and spend one talent point on the Dominance node. It costs a single point and unlocks the whole mechanic.
If you are still early in the game and unfamiliar with the Gap, our Control Resonant Beginner Tips guide covers how the talent system and the Gap work.
Does Assist Mode Block Any Trophies?
No. Control Resonant’s Assist Mode does not lock or disable any trophies or achievements, no matter which settings you enable. You can use Immortality, One-Hit Kills, One-Hit Falters — all of them at once — and still unlock the Platinum. Remedy built Assist Mode as a full accessibility and tuning system, not a separate easy mode that cuts you off from rewards.
Other Trophies to Chase While You Are at It
Since you are already in a good flow state setup, a few other trophies are easy to grab around the same time:
- Paranatural Agility — Perform 3 Perfect Dodges in less than 6 seconds. Practice the timing in any combat encounter.
- Love to Deep Dive — Visit the Gap 3 times in less than 5 minutes. Just open and close the Gap three times quickly.
- Finalization Protocol — Unlock a Combo Finisher. This feeds directly into the Dominance loop and makes chaining Executions faster.

Quick Recap: How to Get Intense Precision Fast
- Buy the Dominance talent in the Gap.
- Enable One-Hit Falters in Assist Mode (Options → Gameplay → Assist Mode).
- Go to the Gap training arena (interact with the stone near the stone circle).
- Hit the dummy once, press L3 to Execute, repeat for 60 seconds.
- Trophy unlocks automatically — no manual tracking needed.
That is all there is to it. Even without Assist Mode, the Extended Dominance talent and a couple of Falter-boosting Artifacts make the 60-second chain very achievable in any open-world fight. Get the PC version on Steam or grab it on PlayStation Store if you have not already jumped in.
