If you want the best all-round track car in Forza Horizon 6, the Ferrari FXX-K Evo is the answer. It is not just fast in a straight line — it brakes clean, turns in hard, and stays planted at high speed in a way most other cars in the game simply cannot match. That is what makes it stand apart from the rest of the R-Class lineup.
This guide covers the real car behind the legend, both FH6 variants, all the key in-game stats, and how to decide which version is right for your garage.
Ferrari FXX-K Evo in Forza Horizon 6: Overview

The FXX-K Evo now sits in the brand-new R-Class, which is a dedicated bracket for track-focused race cars, factory prototypes, and purpose-built LMP machinery — rather than competing with production hypercars in S2. This is the right move. In previous Horizon games, cars like this sat alongside road-going hypercars in S2 lobbies and were practically impossible to race cleanly against. R-Class gives the FXX-K Evo a proper home.
There are two versions of the car in FH6. They share the same base vehicle but differ in Performance Index rating, tuning, and how you obtain them. Here is how they break down.
FH6 Ferrari FXX-K Evo: Both Variants Compared
Standard Version (Base Game)
The standard Ferrari FXX-K Evo is available directly in the Autoshow and can be purchased with in-game credits. It sits in R-Class and is one of the strongest cars available without needing any DLC. The regular FXX-K Evo and FXX-K have marginally different stats, so the standard version is a good alternative if you do not have the Welcome Pack.
This is the version most players will use first. It is immediately competitive in R-Class events and requires no additional spending beyond the base game. For anyone building toward the best cars in the game from a standard save, this should be a high-priority Autoshow purchase.
Welcome Pack Version (Pre-Tuned, R 998 PI)
The 2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo Welcome Pack version is a pre-tuned variant featured in Forza Horizon 6 as part of the Welcome Pack, featuring an R 998 Performance Index. That is one of the highest PI ratings in the entire game.
This version comes pre-tuned to a higher performance level than the standard Autoshow car. The Welcome Pack contains six pre-tuned vehicles at higher class ratings than their base counterparts, including the 2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo in R-Class. The other cars in the Welcome Pack include the 2021 BMW M4 Competition, 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R, and 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR.
The Welcome Pack is included with the Deluxe and Premium editions of the game. If you bought either of those editions, this version is already in your garage. It is not available separately as a standalone purchase.
Ferrari FXX-K Evo Welcome Pack: In-Game Stats
The Welcome Pack version of the FXX-K Evo has the following in-game stat ratings:
- Class: R
- Performance Index: R 998
- Type: Extreme Track Toys
- Tires: Slick
- Rarity: Legendary
- Speed: 8.1
- Handling: 9.4
- Acceleration: 8.7
- Launch: 9.4
- Braking: 10.0 (perfect score)
The perfect braking score is the standout number here. A 10/10 braking rating means this car can stop from high speed faster and more cleanly than almost anything else in the game. That matters enormously on technical tracks and on Japan’s mountain roads, where late braking and clean rotation are what wins races.
The 9.4 handling and 9.4 launch are equally impressive. These numbers reflect the real car’s extraordinary aerodynamic downforce package, translated into FH6’s stat system. The speed score of 8.1 is relatively lower — which reflects the real car’s focus on grip and downforce over all-out top speed. The FXX-K Evo is not the fastest car in a straight line, but on a technical circuit with braking zones and corners, it is extremely hard to beat.
The Ferrari FXX-K Evo is the most consistent R-Class pick in FH6, with the best balance of speed, handling, and braking that works on most circuits.
Tier Ratings: Where the FXX-K Evo Stands
The Welcome Pack version of the Ferrari FXX-K Evo holds S-Tier status in three key categories in FH6:
- Overall R-Class ranking: S-Tier
- Best Drag Cars: S-Tier
- Best Road Race Cars: S-Tier
That triple S-Tier rating across drag, road racing, and overall performance makes it one of the most versatile cars in the entire game — not just in R-Class. Most cars specialise in one area. The FXX-K Evo performs at the top level across multiple disciplines.
It is actually easy to control even at top speeds. Most supercars go fast in a straight line but are impossible to turn and hard to decelerate — not this one. It is comparably nimble relative to the rest of the supercars in the game. That makes it accessible even for players who are not highly experienced with R-Class cars.
One limitation worth knowing: this car will still struggle in Tokyo’s tight, bumpy city streets. It is a track car first. On open circuits and highway routes it is exceptional. On narrow urban layouts, something lower-class and more compact may serve you better. Check our guide to the best roads and mountain passes in FH6 to find the routes where this car truly shines.
How to Get the Ferrari FXX-K Evo in FH6
Standard Version
Buy it from the Autoshow using in-game credits. It is a high-cost purchase but does not require any DLC or special edition. If you need help building up credits quickly, see our guide on how to earn credits fast in Forza Horizon 6.
Welcome Pack Version
This version comes with the Deluxe or Premium edition of the game. If you own either of those editions, it is already in your garage at R 998 PI. FXX-K Evo vs the Rest of R-Class
R-Class in FH6 is a small but elite group. Vehicles like the 2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo, 2020 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, and 2008 Mazda Furai now have a dedicated bracket rather than competing with production hypercars in S2. Each of these cars has a distinct personality.
The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 is an all-wheel-drive beast with explosive acceleration. The Mazda Furai is a rotary endurance prototype with a unique power delivery. The FXX-K Evo sits between them as the most balanced of the three — not the fastest in every metric, but the one that rewards clean driving the most.
If you want to see how R-Class compares to S2 and below, our best cars in every class guide breaks this down in full. And if you want the strongest builds for racing in this class, also check our Goliath Race and Colossus guide — the FXX-K Evo is one of the top picks for high-class endurance events.
Is the Welcome Pack Version Worth It?
If you are deciding between the standard and Deluxe/Premium editions and the FXX-K Evo is a car you want, the Welcome Pack version adds real value. An R 998 PI pre-tuned car from day one means you can enter the highest-level events immediately. The standard Autoshow version is strong, but the Welcome Pack version is tuned higher out of the box.
That said, the gap between the two versions is not massive. The regular FXX-K Evo and FXX-K have marginally different stats. If you are comfortable tuning cars yourself, you can bring the standard version close to the Welcome Pack spec with the right upgrades. For tuning guidance, see our tuning and setup guide to understand how upgrade choices affect performance class and handling balance.
You can also pair this car with the right bodykit for visual customisation. For more on that side of FH6, see our full guide to the best cars with upgrade and bodykit presets.
The Real Ferrari FXX-K Evo: What It Is
The FXX-K Evo is not a production car. It is a track-only research vehicle built by Ferrari as part of their XX Programme — a special initiative where Ferrari develops extreme machines for client-racing events on closed circuits. It is the evolution of the FXX-K, which was itself based on the LaFerrari.
Ferrari revealed the Evo package in October 2017 at the Finali Mondiali event at Mugello Circuit in Italy, as part of the brand’s 70th anniversary celebration. At its heart is a V12 engine producing 860 horsepower at 9,200 rpm and 750 Newton-meters of torque from 6,500 rpm, working together with an electric motor producing 190 hp to deliver a combined output of 1,050 hp. That combined figure puts it among the most powerful road-shaped machines ever built at the time.
Power is channeled to the rear wheels through an F1-spec dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox, and the car sits on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero slick tires.
The Evo upgrade was focused almost entirely on aerodynamics. The downforce available on the Evo is 23 per cent more than the FXX-K, and a full 75 per cent more than the LaFerrari. That includes a new fixed rear wing, revised rear arches to channel wake, a redesigned front fascia using lessons from Ferrari’s GT racing programme, and vortex generators on the underbody. The car has a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
As a by-product of the extensive bodywork changes, it is not road-legal and is intended purely as an enthusiast track car. Ferrari offered the Evo package to existing FXX-K owners or as a standalone limited-run model — though exact production numbers were never confirmed.
