The entire area is gated behind a puzzle sequence inside the Archaeolune Storm Research Center, and the only entrance is through the High-Speed Transit Lane at the end of that puzzle.

It’s one of the most rewarding exploration spots in the new region. Clearing the path gets you multiple chests, a teleport waypoint for fast travel, a tough boss encounter, and even a secret hidden cutscene if you poke around after the fight.

Prerequisites Before You Start

Make sure you have made enough progress in the Frost Moon region before heading here. You’ll want to have the Blue Moon area open and the Archaeolune Storm Research Center accessible on your map. If the Research Center doesn’t appear or the area is locked, go back and continue the main Moon Gazing world quest chain first.

Also keep the Archaeolune Storm mechanic in mind throughout the whole run. While moving through the storm zones, a fatigue bar fills up at the bottom of your screen. If it maxes out, your character will black out and respawn at a checkpoint. Stay inside the glowing energy fields whenever you can to drain that bar back down.

How To Unlock the Golden Hall Teleport Waypoint

Here is the full step-by-step process from start to finish.

Step 1: Reach the Archaeolune Storm Research Center

Teleport to the Archaeolune Storm Research Center. If you haven’t unlocked that waypoint yet, travel to the Transit Station near the fork in the Lunar Highlands and activate the western travel ring, then take the Fast Transit Lane to get there. Once you arrive at the Research Center, head straight forward and you’ll run into the first energy barrier blocking your path.

Step 2: Break Through the First Energy Barrier

Use your Archaeolune Energy to punch a hole through the energy barrier. The energy interacts with the barrier’s surface and creates an opening large enough to walk through. Once it’s open, step inside the chamber.

Step 3: Head Right Into the Side Room

Ignore any enemies in the main area for now if you want to push through quickly. Turn right and follow the passage until you enter a large multi-tiered chamber. Once inside, turn right again immediately. You’ll find another energy barrier on this side. Break through it the same way as before.

Step 4: Find the Pearl Launcher and Ancient Moon Pearls

Inside that side room, you’ll find a Pearl Launcher and several Ancient Moon Pearls. These are the core mechanic for the rest of the puzzle. Place one pearl into the launcher, then aim it at the barrier opening you just created. Launch the pearl through the hole so it lands on the other side in the main chamber.

Step 5: Route the Pearl to the First Power Supply

Head back out of the side room, pick up the pearl you launched, and carry it to the Power Supply terminal on the opposite side of the large chamber. Place it there to power up the first node. This unlocks a path further into the Research Center and is critical for what comes next.

Step 6: Route the Pearl to the Second Power Supply

After the first Power Supply activates, continue through the newly opened path. You’ll need to move the pearl again to a second Power Supply located deeper in the structure. As soon as you place it on this second terminal, a Storm Occlusion Field activates around you — a blue protective boundary that moves with the puzzle’s progression. Stay inside this field at all times from this point forward. Drifting outside of it while the storm is active will drain your fatigue bar quickly.

Step 7: Use the Pearl Launcher to Reach the Upper Floor

With both Power Supplies active, locate the Pearl Launcher in the center of the large chamber. Interact with it and use it to launch yourself upward. This is the same launcher used for the pearls, and it’ll propel you to the upper level. Climb the stairs at the top to reach the highest point of the structure.

Step 8: Grab the Precious Chest

At the top, you’ll find a Precious Chest waiting for you. Grab it before doing anything else — it’s easy to skip this step if you’re rushing.

Step 9: Activate the High-Speed Transit Lane Terminal

Right next to the chest is the High-Speed Transit Lane terminal. Interact with it. This sends you flying through an energy-shielded corridor that cuts straight through the Frost Moon and delivers you directly to the Golden Hall. Dodge any debris and rocks along the way, and try to move through the glowing energy fields to reset your fatigue as you go.

Step 10: Unlock the Golden Hall Teleport Waypoint

Once the transit lane drops you off, you’re inside the Golden Hall. The Teleport Waypoint is sitting in an open area right in front of you — it’s hard to miss. Walk up to it and interact with it to unlock it permanently. After this, you can fast travel to the Golden Hall any time you need.

What To Do After Unlocking the Waypoint

Once the waypoint is active, don’t leave just yet. The Golden Hall has more to offer beyond the fast travel point.

• Frostnight Scion boss: There’s a tough enemy called the Frostnight Scion in the area. Defeat it to unlock the path further in.
• Secret Moon Sisters cutscene: After beating the Frostnight Scion, interact with the foggy object underneath the central pillar. This summons a boat to the island. Ride it and the game plays a hidden cutscene featuring the Moon Sisters — a lore moment that’s easy to miss and completely optional.
• Exploration chests: A few more chests are scattered around the Golden Hall itself, so explore before you leave.

Tips for the Golden Hall Puzzle
