TRAILBLAZER
Remembrance Path · RMC
Build Guide – Best Relics, Light Cone & Teams
❄ FREE — STRONG SUPPORT ❄The Memomaster · Summoner of Mem
The Remembrance Trailblazer (RMC) is an Ice-element support character introduced in Version 3.0 who follows the Path of Remembrance — a path centered entirely on Memosprites, companion summons that exist alongside characters in battle. RMC’s Memosprite is Mem, a bouncy spirit companion who provides 100% Action Advance, True DMG amplification, and team-wide CRIT DMG buffs.
What makes RMC uniquely valuable is that she is completely free — obtainable by all players through story content — while delivering support quality that rivals premium 5-star limited characters. As a sub-DPS/support hybrid, RMC excels in teams with energy-hungry DPS characters (The Herta, Argenti, Yunli) and Remembrance-path characters (Aglaea, Castorice) whose Mem compatibility creates powerful synergies. Her E0 is strong; her Eidolons are entirely free.
Kit & Mem Mechanics
Mem is RMC’s Memosprite — a persistent summon who acts independently in battle. Understanding Mem’s rules is essential to building RMC correctly:
- Mem copies RMC’s out-of-combat stats — CRIT DMG, ATK, HP from the stat screen before entering battle. Conditional relic bonuses that activate in-combat do not apply to Mem. Build RMC’s base stats high for maximum Mem impact.
- Mem has her own SPD (130) but all other stats (ATK, HP, CRIT DMG) scale from RMC. Mem’s SPD is fixed — RMC’s SPD affects only RMC’s own turn order.
- Mem builds Charge — gaining 1% Charge for every 10 Energy any ally regenerates. At 100% Charge, Mem uses her ability: granting one ally 100% Action Advance and a buff providing True DMG equal to 18% of each attack’s damage for 3 turns.
- When Mem disappears, RMC’s action advances by 25% — maintaining rotation momentum. Mem has HP and can be defeated by boss AoE; build enough HP on RMC to keep Mem durable.
- Team-wide CRIT DMG buff — Mem’s Talent passively increases all allies’ CRIT DMG by an amount equal to 12% of Mem’s CRIT DMG + 24%. This is a permanent, always-active buff as long as Mem is on field.
Best Light Cones
Fly Into a Pink Tomorrow
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Signature — Best in SlotRMC’s signature light cone designed specifically for the Remembrance path. Increases RMC’s CRIT DMG (boosting Mem’s copied CRIT DMG and therefore the team CRIT DMG buff). When worn by RMC, also grants a party-wide DMG boost each time the supported ally (Mem’s Support target) deals damage — making it a direct team DPS amplifier on top of the CRIT DMG scaling. Fits seamlessly into both hypercarry and dual-DPS compositions without conditions. Best-in-slot for all RMC builds.
Victory In a Blink
⭐⭐⭐⭐ MoC Shop — Best F2P OptionPurchasable from the Memory of Chaos shop for MoC currency — obtainable by every player without any gacha cost. Provides CRIT DMG +12–24% (scaling per superimposition) to RMC. When RMC’s memosprite uses an ability on any ally, all ally targets’ DMG dealt increases by 8–16% for 3 turns. This effectively gives a free team-wide DMG% buff every time Mem uses her action advance ability. A genuinely excellent pick — don’t overlook it because it’s free. Buy and max superimpose this immediately.
Poised to Bloom
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Standard — Energy + SP OptionWhen RMC summons Mem for the first time in battle, recovers 1 Skill Point and regenerates 12–20 Energy. The SP recovery is useful in SP-hungry teams, and the Energy helps RMC reach her Ultimate faster for the opening Charge burst. Good for players who own it already and haven’t pulled RMC’s signature. Not available on demand, but worth using if you have it.
Destined for War
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Remembrance-Specific 5-StarA Remembrance-path 5-star LC that provides HP% and CRIT DMG — both relevant stats for RMC. The HP% boosts Mem’s durability (Mem copies RMC’s HP), while CRIT DMG boosts the team buff multiplier. Under specific conditions (Main DPS Evernight + Castorice signature), this LC can enable 20% DEF Ignore for other Memosprites. Generally a niche pick but strong in Remembrance-heavy compositions.
Memories of the Past (4★)
⭐⭐⭐⭐ F2P Energy OptionRegenerates 4–8 Energy per attack or hit (once per turn). Helps RMC reach her 75-cost Ultimate faster for the critical opening Charge delivery to Mem. A decent stop-gap for players without Victory In a Blink or a Remembrance 5-star LC. Not recommended as a long-term option — farm Victory In a Blink from the MoC shop as a priority.
Victory In a Blink is available in the Memory of Chaos Exchange Shop for MoC currency — a permanently accessible, genuinely strong light cone that every RMC player should max-superimpose as a priority. It provides a team-wide DMG% buff (8–16% per Mem action) and CRIT DMG on RMC, making it competitive with standard 5-star options. The Signature LC is stronger, but Victory In a Blink closes the gap significantly at zero gacha cost.
Best Relic Sets
4-Piece Cavity Relics
Why It’s #1: The 4-piece bonus perfectly matches how RMC plays — Mem is almost always on field (+6% SPD constant), and every time Mem attacks, RMC gains +30% CRIT DMG. Since Mem’s CRIT DMG copies RMC’s, this +30% spike directly amplifies the team-wide CRIT DMG passive buff during Mem’s action windows. Combined with CRIT DMG body and CRIT DMG substats, this set enables RMC to provide very high passive CRIT DMG buffs. The only catch: conditional relic bonuses don’t apply to Mem — the 30% CRIT DMG from 4-piece does explicitly state it applies to the Memosprite, making it a special case.
When to Use: Excellent support-oriented option prioritizing team DMG% amplification over RMC’s personal CRIT DMG scaling. The HP bonus also keeps Mem alive longer in boss AoE fights. Preferred by players who want reliable team DMG buffing over the conditional CRIT DMG spikes of Hero of Triumphant Song. Viable first-choice depending on available pieces and substat quality.
When to Use: Prydwen notes that from a purely supportive perspective, double-SPD 2+2 is actually RMC’s best relic combination — the SPD enables RMC to act more frequently, summon Mem faster, and use Skill/Ultimate more often. The trade-off is losing the CRIT DMG and ATK from the dedicated Remembrance sets. Best for players who want to maximize how often RMC acts rather than how high Mem’s CRIT DMG is. Good stop-gap while farming Hero of Triumphant Song.
Planar Ornaments
Why It’s #1: RMC’s A2 trace already provides 30% action advance at battle start. With Sprightly Vonwacq adding another 50% advance (at ≥120 SPD, easily met), RMC effectively acts as the first unit in battle — summoning Mem immediately before any enemy can act and before the DPS even takes their first turn. This ensures Mem enters with her 90% Charge (50% on summon + 40% from A2) and is ready to act within the first cycle. The ERR bonus also helps RMC reach Ultimate faster. Universally recommended.
When to Use: If RMC can reach 30% total Effect RES (from traces and substats), Broken Keel provides a free +10% CRIT DMG to all allies — stacking additively with Mem’s passive CRIT DMG buff. Best in teams where every % of CRIT DMG matters (Feixiao, Phainon, Yunli). Loses Sprightly Vonwacq’s action advance — weigh whether the CRIT DMG or the faster opening Mem deploy matters more for your specific team.
When to Use: In ATK-scaling DPS teams (Phainon, Jingliu, Mydei) where the DPS is in first position and benefits significantly from +12% ATK. Note that Lushaka’s ATK buff cannot apply to Memosprites — only to the first playable character. Sprightly Vonwacq’s action advance is usually more impactful for RMC specifically, but Lushaka is viable in hypercarry setups without another ATK buffer.
Stat Priorities
Main Stats
Target Stats
Substat Priority
- CRIT DMG — RMC’s most impactful personal stat. Mem copies RMC’s CRIT DMG, and Mem’s Talent provides all allies with CRIT DMG scaling from Mem’s value (12% × Mem CRIT DMG + 24%). At 160% CRIT DMG on RMC, the team buff is approximately 43% CRIT DMG passively. Every additional CRIT DMG% on RMC directly boosts the whole team.
- SPD — More speed means more turns, more Skill uses, more Charge for Mem via RMC’s own energy generation, and more Ultimate uses delivering +40% Charge. Target 154–160 SPD in-combat. SPD boots are standard; add SPD substats or use double-SPD 2+2 set if falling short of the target.
- HP% — Mem copies RMC’s HP, making HP a survivability stat for both. High boss AoE damage can kill Mem, forcing RMC to use a Skill turn just to re-summon. Higher HP prevents this. Also relevant for Mem’s own Skill scaling in some Remembrance interactions.
- Effect RES — Prevents CC debuffs from locking RMC out of her summon turns. At 30%, activates Broken Keel’s team CRIT DMG bonus if using that ornament. A functional defensive stat rather than pure offense — secondary to CRIT DMG and SPD but worth achieving via traces and a few substat rolls.
- ATK% (lower priority) — RMC’s Ultimate and Mem’s Baddies! deal Ice DMG scaling off ATK. ATK% improves these sub-DPS contributions. Less impactful than CRIT DMG for team buffing but meaningful if RMC’s personal damage contributes significantly (Erudition teams with multiple Ice DMG procs per cycle).
Trace Priority
- Mem’s Abilities (Memosprite Traces) — Always upgrade Mem’s own abilities first. Mem’s “Lemme! Help You!” (the 100% Action Advance + True DMG ability) scales with trace level for both Charge generation and True DMG percentage. Mem’s “Friends! Together!” (the CRIT DMG passive buff) also scales with trace level, increasing the team CRIT DMG buff amount at higher ranks. Mem’s traces are RMC’s highest priority by far.
- Skill — “I Choose You!” — Higher Skill levels increase HP restored to Mem and Charge granted when Mem is already on field. Important for maintaining Mem through long fights and sustaining Charge generation. Second priority after Mem’s traces.
- Ultimate — “Together, Mem!” — Higher Ultimate levels increase the Charge granted to Mem (+40% base, more at higher levels) and the AoE Ice DMG dealt. The Charge delivery is the most important aspect for RMC’s role — prioritize leveling Ultimate alongside Skill.
- Basic Attack — Lowest priority. RMC rarely uses Basic Attack in endgame — her rotation is Skill + Ultimate focused. Skip upgrading Basic Attack and invest all materials in Mem’s traces and Skill/Ultimate.
A2 — “Rhapsode’s Scepter”: At battle start, RMC’s action advances by 30% and Mem receives +40% Charge when first summoned. Combined with Mem’s 50% Charge on summon, Mem enters with 90% Charge — one turn away from her ability. Essential for opening burst timing. Pairs with Sprightly Vonwacq’s 50% action advance to ensure RMC acts first.
A4 — “Petite Parable”: Mem gains +5% Charge each time she uses “Baddies!” (her minor attacks between major actions). This passive Charge accumulation keeps Mem cycling faster between major “Lemme! Help You!” uses — meaningful for consistent action advance cadence throughout fights.
Best Team Compositions
❄ The Herta Erudition Core
RMC’s strongest synergy and the team responsible for many of The Herta’s peak endgame performances. The Herta has an enormous 200-cost Ultimate, which generates massive Energy per attack — meaning every The Herta attack produces 2% Charge for Mem automatically. In a full cycle with The Herta’s multi-hit attacks, Mem reaches 100% Charge extremely rapidly, providing multiple Action Advances per cycle.
The synergy deepens further: RMC’s Ultimate and Mem’s Baddies! attacks are AoE Ice DMG, which builds Interpretation stacks on enemies for The Herta — stacks she needs to power up her critical damage phases. RMC’s True DMG buff on The Herta’s attacks is multiplicative with The Herta’s stacked Interpretation bonuses. Lingsha or Aventurine provide sustain while adding their own attack frequency (FUA triggers = more Charge for Mem).
❄ Aglaea Remembrance Trio
RMC slots naturally into Aglaea teams through the Remembrance-path synergy. At RMC’s E1, Mem’s Support applies to Remembrance characters AND their Memosprite simultaneously — meaning both Aglaea and her Garmentmaker receive the 100% Action Advance and True DMG buff when Mem activates. This is a significant amplification in a team already built around maximising Garmentmaker’s actions per cycle.
Aglaea’s Garmentmaker contributes high Energy generation (through Joint Attacks), keeping Mem’s Charge building rapidly between Mem’s Support activations. Sunday provides individual action advance and CRIT buffs, while RMC provides the team-level True DMG amplification and CRIT DMG passive. Huohuo sustains and provides Energy restoration, enabling all three support Ultimates to cycle efficiently. An excellent team even at E0 RMC; transformative at E1.
❄ Argenti / Yunli Hypercarry
Argenti (180 Energy cost) and Yunli are both high-energy DPS characters whose heavy energy costs translate directly into massive Charge generation for Mem. Argenti in particular benefits enormously: every time he uses his Ultimate, Mem gains 18% Charge instantly. Argenti’s frequent attack patterns and high per-attack Energy generation keep Mem cycling her 100% Charge action several times per cycle.
RMC’s True DMG buff on Argenti’s Ultimate multi-hits compounds powerfully — the True DMG fires on each individual hit of the Ultimate’s multi-instance damage, accumulating significant bonus damage. Robin provides team advance and ATK buff; Tribbie provides RES PEN and Zone Additional DMG as an alternative second buffer. Both work excellently alongside RMC. A team where RMC functions at near-maximum efficiency.
❄ Budget F2P Support Team
RMC’s most important feature as a free character: she requires zero gacha pulls and delivers genuine endgame support quality at E0. With Victory In a Blink from the MoC shop, Hero of Triumphant Song relics, and standard stat targets, RMC provides the team with consistent 100% Action Advances, True DMG amplification, and a passive ~43% CRIT DMG buff to all allies — all for free.
Herta (free 4-star) contributes sub-DPS through her follow-up attacks, generates Energy for Mem’s Charge, and builds Interpretation stacks in Erudition teams. Gallagher provides SP-neutral sustain. This team comfortably clears Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadow without premium characters. RMC is one of the best investments available to F2P players — upgrade her fully as a priority.
Eidolons Guide
All of RMC’s Eidolons are obtainable for free through gameplay, story missions, and events. Unlike limited characters, there is no gacha cost to unlock her constellation — making each Eidolon uniquely accessible.
| Eidolon | Effect | Value |
|---|---|---|
| E1 | “Boundless Bliss in Rosy Hue” — Mem’s Support now also grants a CRIT Rate buff to the target ally. If Mem’s target is a Remembrance character or their Summon, both the character and their Memosprite receive all of Mem’s Support effects (Action Advance + True DMG + CRIT Rate).
The CRIT Rate addition makes Mem’s Support provide both offensive critical stats simultaneously. The Remembrance dual-apply is transformative for Aglaea teams — Garmentmaker receives the full advance and buffs independently from Aglaea. Highest free Eidolon value. |
Best Free E1 |
| E2 | “Blithe Spirit’s Flight” — When an allied Memosprite (not Mem herself) takes action, RMC regenerates Energy. Makes RMC an energy battery in Remembrance-heavy team compositions (Aglaea, Castorice) where ally Memosprites act frequently — each action directly fuels RMC’s Ultimate cycling. | Strong in Remembrance Teams |
| E4 | “Embrace of Halcyon Days” — Mem gains Charge when allies without Energy take action. Additionally, if a character without Energy receives Mem’s Support, the True DMG multiplier on their attacks increases significantly. Niche benefit for specific compositions where characters exhaust their Energy frequently (high-Ultimate-spam teams). | Niche Value |
| E6 | “Stars Held Dear in Memory” — RMC’s Ultimate CRIT Rate is set to 100% (guaranteed crit). Since RMC’s Ultimate deals AoE Ice DMG, the guaranteed crit increases her personal damage output. Less impactful than E1 for team utility — purely personal damage improvement. | Minor Personal DMG |
Should You Build RMC?
✅ Yes — Build RMC If:
- You play The Herta, Argenti, or Yunli — they are RMC’s best DPS partners due to high energy generation fueling Mem’s Charge
- You own Aglaea or Castorice — RMC’s E1 applies Mem’s Support to their Memosprites, providing extraordinary Remembrance-path synergy
- You want a completely free, high-quality support — RMC is one of the best value characters in the entire game for zero-cost players
- You need CRIT DMG buffing + True DMG amplification + Action Advance — a triple-buff package rare on a single character at no cost
- You want future-proof investment — every future Remembrance DPS will benefit from RMC’s E1 dual-application on their Memosprites
Final Verdict: The Remembrance Trailblazer is the best free support character in Honkai: Star Rail’s history. She provides genuine endgame-quality buffing — Action Advance, True DMG, and passive CRIT DMG for the whole team — at zero gacha cost, with fully unlockable free Eidolons. If you play energy-hungry DPS or any Remembrance-path character, RMC should be your first fully-built support. Buy Victory In a Blink from the MoC shop, farm Hero of Triumphant Song relics, and prioritize her Memosprite traces.
