Robin Build Guide HSR – Best Relics, Light Cones, Teams & Eidolons

  • Robin is a 5-star Physical Harmony support who enters Concerto state via her Ultimate — advancing all 3 teammates by 100% simultaneously and then buffing every hit they land for the duration.
  • During Concerto, every ally attack triggers a Physical Additional DMG hit from Robin at 120% ATK with fixed 100% CRIT Rate and 150% CRIT DMG — free bonus damage on every single hit across the team.
  • Her Skill applies a 50% DMG increase to all allies for 3 turns — one of the strongest DMG buffs available from a support slot.
  • She is the best buffer for Follow-Up Attack teams — her A4 trace adds 25% CRIT DMG to all ally FUAs during Concerto.
  • Best Light Cone: Flowing Nightglow (her signature) — provides 15% ERR, 48% ATK buff, and 24% team DMG bonus. Best F2P: But the Battle Isn’t Over (Starlight Exchange).
  • Best Relics: Musketeer of Wild Wheat (4-piece) + Sprightly Vonwacq (Planar Ornament) or Lushaka, the Sunken Seas.
  • ATK is Robin’s most important stat — her ATK buff and Concerto Additional DMG both scale with her own ATK. Target 3,500–4,000+ ATK.
  • E1 is rated higher priority than her signature LC — it adds 24% All-Type RES PEN for the entire team during Concerto.
  • As of Version 4.2 (April 22, 2026), Robin was added to the Stellar Convergence Store and can be obtained permanently without a banner. A free Golden Companion Spirit was given to all players.
  • She is rated T1 in MoC, PF, and AS as of patch 4.3 and is one of the most universally applicable supports in the game.

Who Is Robin in Honkai Star Rail?

Robin is a 5-star Physical character following the Path of Harmony in Honkai Star Rail. She debuted in Version 2.2 (May 2024) and has remained one of the most consistently top-tier support characters in the game ever since. As of patch 4.3, she is rated T1 across Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow — a position she has held for over two years.

In the game’s lore, Robin is a Halovian singer born in Penacony who rose to cosmic fame. She is Sunday’s younger sister — elegant, demure, and deeply idealistic, her music described as having the power to create resonance not just among her fans but among all manner of lifeforms. She was invited back home by The Family to grace everyone with a song at the Charmony Festival, and her story quickly deepened into something far heavier than a performance. Her sincerity and her music are her weapons — and in combat, that same sincerity manifests as a team-wide performance that makes every ally hit harder, faster, and more often.

A major accessibility note: as of Version 4.2 (April 22, 2026), Robin was added to the Stellar Convergence Store alongside her signature Light Cone Flowing Nightglow. All players received one free Golden Companion Spirit to exchange for her or Huohuo. Both Robin and her signature LC are now permanently obtainable without waiting for a banner rerun. If you do not have Robin, check the Stellar Convergence Store now. For official patch details, check the HoYoverse official Honkai Star Rail news page.

Robin Kit Overview – How Her Abilities Work

Robin’s kit has two modes: the setup phase before her Ultimate and the Concerto performance window after it. The setup phase is brief and straightforward. The Concerto window is where her full power activates — and understanding exactly what Concerto does to the team is the key to building and playing her correctly.

Basic Attack – Wingstrike

Deals Physical DMG equal to 100% of Robin’s ATK to a single enemy. Rarely used in combat — Robin’s primary actions are Skill and Ultimate. The Basic ATK exists to generate Energy when you cannot afford to use anything else, and it contributes to the Talent’s Energy-on-ally-attack passive. Almost always better to use Skill if SP allows.

Skill – Pinion’s Aria

Increases DMG dealt by all allies by 50%, lasting for 3 turns (duration decreases at the start of Robin’s own turns). This is an enormous flat DMG multiplier that applies to every attack by every character on the field. It is not element-specific, not path-specific, and not type-specific — every hit from every ally benefits. At higher Skill levels this scales further. The 50% DMG boost from Skill plus the buffs from Concerto stack to give Robin one of the highest combined team buff packages among Harmony characters. Use Skill on cooldown before entering Concerto whenever possible — it extends the effective duration of the buff into the performance window.

Ultimate – Vox Harmonique: Concerto

This is what makes Robin uniquely powerful. When she activates her Ultimate, two things happen at once:

  • All three teammates immediately take action — a 100% Action Advance for the entire team simultaneously. No other single support in the game can advance all three allies at once with a single ability.
  • Robin enters Concerto state, disappearing from the normal action order and replacing her turn slot with a Concerto countdown that has its own fixed SPD of 90.

While Concerto is active:

  • All allies’ ATK increases by 22.8% of Robin’s ATK plus 200. This scales directly with Robin’s own ATK stat, which is why building high ATK is the primary goal for her build.
  • After every ally attack, Robin deals Physical Additional DMG equal to 120% of her ATK to the enemy, with a fixed 100% CRIT Rate and fixed 150% CRIT DMG. This fires automatically on every single hit from every ally — each Feixiao FUA triggers it, each Topaz Numby hit triggers it, each Jing Yuan Lightning-Lord hit triggers it. It effectively makes Robin a passive off-field sub-DPS who contributes Physical DMG on every action in the fight.
  • Robin is immune to Crowd Control debuffs while in Concerto.

The Concerto countdown ends when its slot comes up in the action order (SPD 90 — slower than most characters, meaning it stays active for several rounds of ally actions). When Concerto ends, Robin immediately takes her turn.

Talent – Tonal Resonance

After allies attack enemy targets, Robin regenerates 2 Energy for herself. This passive Energy generation fires on every ally attack — in combat-heavy fights with many ally hits, Robin’s Energy recovery through the Talent alone is significant. At E2, this increases by 1 (3 Energy per ally attack). The talent ensures Robin’s next Ultimate arrives faster without needing her to act, which is exactly what a support wants.

A2 Trace – Coloratura Cadenza

When the battle begins, Robin’s action is advanced forward by 25%. This means Robin acts near the very start of the first cycle, letting her use Skill immediately before anyone else attacks. With the Skill’s 50% DMG boost live from turn 1, the entire first wave of ally attacks benefits from the full buff package. This trace also makes it much easier to use Skill before any DPS characters act, which is the optimal opening pattern.

A4 Trace – Impromptu Flourish

During Concerto state, CRIT DMG dealt by all ally Follow-Up Attacks increases by 25%. This is the trace that makes Robin the definitive best buffer for FUA teams. Combined with the base Concerto ATK buff, the Additional DMG on every hit, and this 25% FUA CRIT DMG bonus, Robin provides an unmatched combination of buffs specifically for characters like Feixiao, Topaz, Aventurine, and Jing Yuan. Even in non-FUA teams, Robin is excellent — but for FUA teams, she is irreplaceable.

A6 Trace – Sequential Passage

When Robin uses her Skill, she additionally regenerates 5 Energy. This makes every Skill use doubly valuable — the 50% DMG buff for the team plus a 5 Energy top-up for Robin’s own Ultimate cycle. This trace, combined with the Talent’s passive Energy-on-ally-attack, significantly reduces the Skill cast count needed between Ultimates. At full exploitation, Robin can maintain near-permanent Concerto uptime with correct rotation pacing.

Technique – Wingflash Brilliance

Creates a dimension for 15 seconds that attracts nearby enemies. If the battle begins while the dimension is active, Robin restores Energy equal to 5% of her Max Energy. Always use this before entering fights to get a free Energy boost at battle start, making the first Ultimate arrive slightly faster.

Robin Best Light Cones in HSR

Robin follows the Path of Harmony. All Harmony path Light Cones activate passive effects on her. Her signature is the best option and is now accessible through the Stellar Convergence Store. The core goal for any Robin Light Cone is Energy Regeneration Rate — without sufficient ERR, her 160-cost Ultimate requires too many turns to cycle consistently.

Flowing Nightglow (Signature – Best in Slot)

Robin’s dedicated 5-star signature is best-in-slot and is now available in the Stellar Convergence Store. Every time any ally attacks, Robin gains 1 stack of Cantillation (up to 5 stacks), each increasing her ERR by 3%. At max stacks, this gives 15% ERR passively through combat — generating a steady charge toward her next Ultimate through ally activity alone. When Robin uses her Ultimate, all Cantillation stacks are consumed and she enters Cadenza for 1 turn: her ATK increases by 48% and all allies’ DMG dealt increases by 24%. The combined effect: her ATK buff to the team scales off a 48%-boosted ATK during Concerto, and the 24% additional team DMG is a multiplicative stack on top of the Skill’s 50% DMG buff. At base ATK of 582, with the 48% boost, Robin’s ATK during Concerto reaches roughly 862 before relics — directly scaling her Additional DMG hits and the team ATK buff simultaneously. This is the definitive best Light Cone for Robin.

But the Battle Isn’t Over (Starlight Exchange – Best F2P Option)

The best accessible alternative for players without the signature. It provides 10% ERR, regenerates 1 Skill Point when Robin uses her Ultimate (every 2 Ultimates), and causes the next ally to act after Robin uses Skill to deal 30% more DMG for 1 turn. The ERR keeps Ultimate cycles manageable. The SP recovery makes Robin SP-positive over time, which is excellent since Skill use is constant. The 30% DMG buff on the next acting ally functions as a targeted burst window bonus. Available from the Starlight Exchange Shop for 600 Starlight — always buy this if it is in stock and you lack the signature. Strongly recommended at S1 minimum.

Past and Future (4-Star)

After the wearer uses Skill, the next ally to take action gains a 16% DMG boost for 1 turn. At high Superimposition, this stacks into a meaningful DMG bonus that triggers off Robin’s frequent Skill use. A serviceable 4-star alternative but notably below But the Battle Isn’t Over in overall value.

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds (4-Star – Battle Pass)

At the start of each turn, provides one of three random buffs: ATK%, CRIT DMG%, or ERR%. The random nature means reliability varies, but the ATK% and ERR% rolls are both directly valuable for Robin. A reasonable Battle Pass option when no better alternative is available.

Robin Best Relics in HSR

Robin’s relic priority is dominated by one stat: ATK. Her Concerto ATK buff scales with her own ATK. Her Additional DMG hits scale with her ATK. Her Skill’s effectiveness is also partially ATK-gated. Maximizing ATK translates directly into stronger team buffs and more personal damage on every Concerto hit. Speed is secondary — primarily needed to hit the breakpoint for her rotation to cycle consistently.

Best 4-Piece Relic Set: Musketeer of Wild Wheat

This is Robin’s best relic set. The 2-piece gives 12% ATK, directly scaling her team ATK buff and Concerto Additional DMG. The 4-piece gives 10% ATK and 6% Basic ATK SPD — the ATK component is the valuable part. Robin needs flat ATK scaling from her relic set rather than path-specific or conditional bonuses. Musketeer’s ATK focus is perfectly aligned with her build requirements. Farm this set specifically for Robin.

Alternative: 2-Piece Musketeer + 2-Piece Prisoner in Deep Confinement

The Prisoner 2-piece provides ATK, identical to Musketeer’s 2-piece. Running two 2-piece ATK sets doubles the flat ATK contribution from set bonuses. This combination is particularly useful as a transitional option while farming a complete 4-piece Musketeer set — keep your best ATK substats from both domains rather than settling for worse pieces just to complete the 4-piece.

Best Planar Ornament: Sprightly Vonwacq

Robin’s best Planar Ornament. It provides Energy Regeneration Rate (critical for maintaining consistent Ultimate cycles) and advances Robin’s action at the start of battle when her SPD reaches 120 or above — a threshold easily met. The action advance compounds with her A2 trace’s 25% battle-start advance, letting Robin use Skill very early in the first cycle before DPS characters take their initial turns. This early Skill ensures the 50% DMG buff is live from the first ally action. Always farm this for Robin.

Alternative Planar Ornament: Lushaka, the Sunken Seas

Provides Energy Regeneration Rate and a team ATK buff when Robin is not the lead position. Since Robin is almost never the lead character (DPS units typically lead), this procs reliably. The combined ERR and ATK bonus makes this highly competitive with Sprightly Vonwacq. Use whichever ornament has better substats once you have both.

Relic Main Stats to Target

  • Head: HP (fixed)
  • Hands: ATK (fixed)
  • Body: ATK% — Robin’s most important main stat body choice. Scales her team ATK buff and every Concerto Additional DMG hit. Do not run Outgoing Healing or CRIT stats here.
  • Feet: SPD — aim for 120–121 SPD to activate Sprightly Vonwacq’s battle-start action advance. Higher SPD is not wasted but not the priority beyond the Vonwacq threshold.
  • Planar Sphere: ATK% — more ATK scaling for team buffs and Additional DMG.
  • Link Rope: Energy Regeneration Rate — mandatory for maintaining consistent Ultimate cycles without the signature LC. ATK% if running Flowing Nightglow (whose Cantillation stacks handle ERR).

Key Substat Priority

ATK% is the top substat priority — stack as much ATK as possible through percentage rolls. Flat ATK is also useful given Robin’s high multipliers but less efficient than ATK% per roll. SPD substats to reach 120 (Vonwacq threshold). Effect RES substats (around 30%+) help protect her during Concerto from debuffs that could disrupt her passive. Avoid CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and Break Effect entirely — none of these scale Robin’s support function.

Stat Targets

  • ATK: 3,500–4,000+
  • SPD: 120–121 (for Vonwacq; higher is fine but low priority)
  • Energy Regen Rate: 119.44%+ if not running Flowing Nightglow
  • Effect RES: 30%+ (protects Concerto state from disruption)

Robin Best Teams in HSR 4.3

Robin is the most universally applicable Harmony support in the game. Her buffs are element-agnostic, path-agnostic, and attack-type-agnostic. The Skill’s 50% DMG boost and Concerto’s ATK scaling apply equally to Fire, Ice, Wind, Physical, Quantum, Lightning, and Imaginary DPS — making her viable in virtually every team. She is especially strong for FUA teams due to her A4 trace, but she is competitive in hypercarry teams, DoT teams, and multi-DPS setups as well.

Best FUA Team: Feixiao / Robin / Topaz / Aventurine

This is Robin’s highest-ceiling team and one of the strongest compositions in the game. Feixiao benefits from Robin’s ATK buff, FUA CRIT DMG bonus (A4), and team-wide Concerto action advance. Every Feixiao FUA and every Topaz Numby hit triggers Robin’s Additional Physical DMG simultaneously. Aventurine provides shields, the Unnerved CRIT DMG debuff, and his own shield FUAs — each of which generates Feixiao’s Flying Aureus and triggers Robin’s Additional DMG. At E1, the 24% All-Type RES PEN on every hit during Concerto makes this team’s sustained DPS in the Ultimate window extraordinary. This team dominates Apocalyptic Shadow single-target boss content.

Summon Team: Aglaea / Sunday / Robin / Huohuo

Aglaea is a Lightning Remembrance DPS with a 350-Energy Ultimate. Robin’s Concerto advances Aglaea immediately on activation, and every Garmentmaker hit triggers Robin’s Additional Physical DMG. Sunday provides Action Advance and CRIT buffs for both Aglaea and Garmentmaker. Huohuo handles healing and Energy restoration. Robin and Sunday together create an extraordinary action frequency for Aglaea — the combined Action Advances effectively give Aglaea multiple turns per cycle, dramatically accelerating her Ultimate rotation and Supreme Stance uptime.

Classic Summon Team: Jing Yuan / Sunday / Robin / Aventurine

Jing Yuan‘s Lightning-Lord hits trigger Robin’s Additional Physical DMG on every strike — and Lightning-Lord hits frequently. Robin’s A4 FUA CRIT DMG bonus applies to Lightning-Lord’s attacks since they are technically Follow-Up Attacks. Sunday advances both Jing Yuan and Lightning-Lord simultaneously. Aventurine sustains with shields and contributes more FUAs. A team that Robin has made dramatically stronger since her release.

Hypercarry Team: Phainon / Sunday / Robin / Huohuo

Phainon benefits from Robin’s flat ATK buff and the 50% DMG boost from Skill during his pre-transformation Coreflame phase. Robin’s Concerto advances Phainon immediately, which contributes to Coreflame generation. During Khaslana’s 8-turn transformation window, all allies depart the field and Robin’s passive Additional DMG temporarily pauses — but the ATK buff and Skill DMG boost are snapshotted, so they persist through the transformation. After Phainon returns to normal, Robin’s Concerto Additional DMG resumes. Sunday handles the primary action advance and CRIT DMG buffs. Huohuo provides healing and ATK buffs from her own Ultimate.

Accessible FUA Team: Feixiao / Robin / Moze / Gallagher

A more accessible Feixiao team replacing Topaz and Aventurine with Moze and Gallagher. Moze is a 4-star FUA sub-DPS with dedicated Feixiao synergy — his mark debuff boosts FUA damage on the target. Gallagher handles healing efficiently with low SP cost. Robin buffs both FUA characters. This is the accessible team for players building their first Feixiao composition.

Characters Robin Works Best With

  • Feixiao — Best DPS partner. FUA CRIT DMG (A4), ATK, Action Advance all perfectly aligned.
  • Aglaea — Garmentmaker’s hits trigger Additional DMG constantly. Action Advance accelerates Supreme Stance cycling.
  • Jing Yuan — Lightning-Lord’s multi-hits trigger Additional DMG and benefit from FUA CRIT DMG bonus.
  • Yunli — Counter-type FUA DPS. Robin’s Concerto advance and FUA CRIT DMG amplify every counter hit.
  • Clara — Counter-type DPS who hits frequently off-turn. Robin’s Additional DMG and ATK buff scale every counter.
  • Topaz — Numby’s constant FUAs trigger Robin’s Additional DMG and benefit from A4 CRIT DMG bonus. Best FUA sub-DPS for Robin teams.
  • Anaxa — Multi-hit bouncing Skill and free Skill casts trigger Additional DMG on every hit, making Robin a strong contributor in Anaxa teams.

Robin Trace Priority

As a support, Robin’s trace priorities focus on the abilities that scale her team buffs and maintain Concerto uptime.

  • Ultimate – First. Her Ultimate governs the ATK buff value (22.8% of Robin’s ATK plus 200) and the Additional Physical DMG multiplier (120% ATK per hit) during Concerto. Both scale with Ultimate level. Since every ally hit triggers the Additional DMG, even small per-hit multiplier increases accumulate into significant total damage across a full Concerto window. Max this first.
  • Skill – Second. Higher Skill level increases the 50% DMG buff percentage and the duration management values. The Skill DMG buff is one of the strongest in the game at max — leveling it ensures the full value is active for every teammate’s attacks.
  • All Three Major Traces – Unlock early. A2 (25% battle-start action advance), A4 (25% FUA CRIT DMG during Concerto), and A6 (5 Energy on Skill use) are all permanently active bonuses. A4 is particularly critical for FUA teams. Unlock all three as ascension materials allow — they are not optional.
  • Talent – Third. The Talent governs Energy regeneration per ally attack. Higher Talent level increases the Energy gained per hit, speeding up Ultimate cycles and reducing the number of turns needed between Concerto windows.
  • Basic Attack – Last. Robin rarely uses Basic ATK in normal rotation. Level this minimally.

Robin Eidolons – Which Ones Are Worth It?

Robin is excellent at E0, but her E1 is one of the most unanimously recommended Eidolons in the entire game. It is rated higher priority than her signature Light Cone by most community guides.

E1 – Best Value Eidolon (Priority Over Signature LC)

While in Concerto state, all allies’ All-Type RES PEN increases by 24%. This is a team-wide resistance penetration buff that applies to every damage type from every character during the entire Concerto window. In the context of endgame content where enemies have meaningful resistance values, 24% All-Type RES PEN is an enormous multiplicative damage multiplier. It stacks with all other buffs (CRIT, ATK, DMG%) for a compounding effect. Community consensus is unambiguous: E1 delivers more total team DPS than the signature Light Cone for most endgame scenarios. Recommendation: if choosing between E0 Signature and E1 No-Signature, take E1 first.

E2 – Strong Follow-Up for Invested Players

E2 increases all allies’ SPD by 16% during Concerto. Additionally, the Talent’s Energy regeneration per ally attack increases by 1 (from 2 to 3 Energy per hit at base). The SPD boost means every teammate moves faster during the Concerto window, potentially fitting more actions before the countdown ends and triggering more Additional DMG procs. The improved Energy regen helps Robin reach her next Ultimate faster, potentially allowing an ATK% Rope instead of Energy Regeneration Rope. A meaningful upgrade but the value gap from E1 to E2 is smaller than E0 to E1.

E4 – Limited Value

E4 removes debuffs from all allies at the start of Robin’s turns during Concerto and provides an Effect RES boost. Primarily a survivability upgrade. The value is situational and lower than E1 or E2 in pure DPS contribution. E4 is mainly a stepping stone to E6 for fully invested players.

E6 – Major Personal DPS Spike

E6 increases the Additional Physical DMG from Concerto by 450% and allows it to trigger up to 8 times per turn. At E6, Robin’s personal damage output during Concerto becomes substantial — she effectively transforms into a sub-DPS contributor alongside her support function. A large spike at extremely high investment, but not practical for most accounts. E1 remains the recommended stopping point for the vast majority of players.

Robin Rotation Guide – How to Play Her

Robin’s rotation is one of the cleanest in the game. The entire goal is to get Skill up before any DPS acts, then fire Ultimate to start Concerto as soon as possible, and keep cycling.

Battle Start

Robin’s A2 trace advances her action by 25% at battle start, and Sprightly Vonwacq provides an additional action advance at 120+ SPD. Between the two, Robin very often acts first in the initial turn order. Use her Technique before entering battle to restore some Energy immediately. Use Skill on the first turn — the 50% DMG buff is now active for every ally’s first wave of attacks.

Building to Ultimate

After Skill, use Basic ATK if SP is low or Skill again if refreshing the DMG buff. The Talent passively regenerates 2 Energy per every ally attack — in a fast team, Robin’s Energy refills rapidly without her needing to act. The A6 trace’s 5 Energy per Skill use accelerates the cycle further. With Flowing Nightglow, Cantillation stacks from ally attacks add another 3% ERR per stack (up to 15% total at 5 stacks). With But the Battle Isn’t Over, the 10% ERR baseline handles the rotation without the signature.

Firing Ultimate – The Concerto Window

When Energy is ready, fire Ultimate. All three teammates advance immediately. Use Skill just before firing the Ultimate if it has expired — the 50% DMG buff should always overlap with the Concerto window for maximum combined buff value. During Concerto, every ally attack triggers Robin’s Additional Physical DMG automatically. You do not need to do anything during this window except watch the damage numbers appear.

Concerto’s countdown runs at SPD 90. In most teams, this means 3–4 ally actions happen before Robin exits Concerto. Every single one of those hits triggers Robin’s Additional DMG. High-frequency teams (FUA, multi-hit) get dramatically more value from Concerto than slow single-hit teams.

After Concerto

When the countdown ends, Robin exits Concerto and immediately takes her turn. Use Skill to refresh the 50% DMG buff (if it expired during Concerto) and start building toward the next Ultimate. With proper ERR investment, Robin can maintain near-permanent Concerto uptime — exiting one window and entering the next with minimal gap between them.

Should You Pull Robin in HSR 4.3?

Yes — and the decision is now easier than ever. As of Version 4.2, Robin is permanently obtainable from the Stellar Convergence Store, and all players received one free Golden Companion Spirit to claim her or Huohuo at no pull cost. If you do not have Robin and have not yet redeemed the Companion Spirit, go claim her now. She is one of the two best characters to take for free from that store.

Robin is rated T1 across all three endgame modes in patch 4.3 and has maintained this position for over two years. Her universal buffing means she works in every meta and does not become obsolete when new characters arrive — every new FUA DPS released benefits from her A4 trace, and every new hypercarry benefits from her ATK and DMG buffs. She appreciates with the meta rather than depreciating.

The key investment advice: E1 first, then her signature LC. E1’s 24% All-Type RES PEN during Concerto delivers more team DPS than the signature in most scenarios. E0S0 Robin is already strong. E0S1 is excellent. E1S0 is often better than E0S1. Pursue E1 as the first Eidolon investment whenever possible.

For DPS characters that benefit most from Robin, check our guides for Feixiao, Aglaea, Jing Yuan, Yunli, and Anaxa. For other top Harmony supports to pair with or compare against, see our guides for Sunday, Tribbie, Ruan Mei, and Sparkle.
