Complete Build Guide • Wuthering Waves Version 3.2 • Updated April 2026
T0-Tier • Electro • Broadblade • Main DPS • 5★ Limited Banner • Ephor of Septimont
Overview
Augusta is a 5-Star Electro Broadblade Main DPS who debuted in Wuthering Waves Version 3.0 (banner: Eternal Radiance on the Crown, January 15 – February 4, 2026). As the Ephor of Septimont, she is a Heavy Attack-focused damage dealer with a three-layer resource mechanic — Prowess, Ascendancy, and Majesty — that culminates in her signature time-stop Liberation, one of the most unique mechanics in the game.
Her core damage revolves around Heavy Attack Electro DMG, enhanced by her Backstep + Spinslash combo and her Enhanced Resonance Liberation — Sublime is the Sun, which stops time for 7 seconds while she delivers up to 9 Sunborne slashes followed by the devastating Everbright Protector finisher. Crucially, the time-stop also halts endgame timers in Tower of Adversity — giving Augusta a unique competitive advantage no other character offers.
Version 3.2 Update (April 2026): Augusta remains a confirmed T0 mainstay alongside Cartethyia and Aemeath. The new Endstate Matrix endgame mode (introduced in 3.2) adds a third endgame venue where her time-stop and self-sustain have proven very useful. New 3.2 character Qiuyuan is also worth noting as a team option — when his Crit Rate hits 65%, he grants the whole team a Crit DMG buff that synergizes well with Augusta’s kit.
Important: Augusta has a moderate-to-high skill ceiling. Her rotation involves precise timing of resource mechanics, Spinslash chains, and Outro Skill management. She is rewarding but punishing for players who break her rotation cycle.
⚡ Why Augusta Still Dominates in 3.2
What makes Augusta exceptional heading into April 2026:
- Time-stop Liberation — freezes endgame timers in ToA, Whimpering Wastes, and the new Endstate Matrix
- Confirmed T0 in 3.2 — remains a top mainstay alongside Cartethyia and Aemeath despite the new Echo Skill meta
- Self-sustaining shields — near-zero downtime shielding activates Crown of Valor and signature weapon buffs
- Consistent Electro Heavy Attack DPS — strong rotation damage output that does not depend on Tune Rupture meta mechanics
- 15% All-DMG Outro buff — strong passive value for any teammate following her
- Verdant Summit (Jiyan sig) is ~93% as good as her own signature — lower weapon investment needed
- Complete at S0 — no dupes required to perform at T0 level
Strengths & Weaknesses
✓ Strengths
- ✓ Unique time-stop ability freezes endgame timers (ToA, WW, Endstate Matrix)
- ✓ T0 consistent Electro Heavy Attack DPS — still top-tier in 3.2
- ✓ Near-permanent shielding from Inherent Skill — activates Crown of Valor & sig weapon passives
- ✓ Team shielding via Ruler’s Realm (Intro Skill triggers)
- ✓ Strong 15% All-DMG Outro Skill buff for teammates
- ✓ Complete and T0-viable at S0 — no dupes required
- ✓ Verdant Summit achieves ~93% of her signature’s performance
✗ Weaknesses
- ✗ Time-stop Liberation requires precise multi-wave timing in ToA & Endstate Matrix
- ✗ Breaking Outro rotation causes significant DPS loss
- ✗ Noticeable DPS drop with non-premium weapons
- ✗ Shields have very low strength — they enable buffs but don’t protect from meaningful damage
- ✗ Backloaded damage is suboptimal in multi-wave content if time-stop timing is off
- ✗ Ascension materials are locked behind story progression
- ✗ Cannot switch teammates during Sworn Allegiance time-stop
The Three-Layer Forte Mechanic
Augusta’s kit revolves around three stacking resources that must all be managed simultaneously for maximum damage output.
- Filled by Basic Attacks, Heavy Attacks, Resonance Skill, and Intro Skill
- Intro Skill instantly fills it to 100
- When full: unlocks Thunderoar Backstep + Spinslash
- Spinslash (400%+ multiplier) is her core Heavy Attack hit
- Filled by Normal Attacks (+10%), Intro Skill (+20%), Resonance Skill (+10%), Resonance Liberation (+40%)
- When full (100): unlocks Enhanced Resonance Skill (Griffon Ride)
- 3-part chain: Strike → Leap → Plunge (grants 1 Majesty)
- Needs 2 stacks to unlock Enhanced Liberation
- 1 stack from Enhanced Resonance Skill Plunge
- 1 stack from teammate Outro Skill (under Augusta’s Outro buff)
- At 2 stacks: HOLD Liberation = TIME STOP
⚡ Sworn Allegiance — TIME STOP (7 Seconds)
With 2 Majesty stacks, hold Liberation to enter Sworn Allegiance. For 7 seconds, all time is frozen — enemy actions, timers (including Tower of Adversity and Endstate Matrix), and even your teammates’ skill cooldowns pause. Augusta performs up to 9 Sunborne slashes (Heavy Attack DMG), then triggers Everbright Protector — a massive Electro nuke that ends the state. Do not hold Liberation early to skip — always complete all 9 slashes for maximum damage. In ToA, the time-stop immediately refreshes the next wave of enemies after defeating the first, allowing continuous damage dealing. Note: if all enemies are defeated during time-stop, the arena will be empty until the Liberation ends and the next wave spawns — plan your timing.
Skill Breakdown
4-hit Electro combo. Only 3 segments needed to fill Prowess — do not auto-complete the 4th hit. First 3 attacks build both Prowess and Ascendancy. Accounts for ~23% of total damage multiplier output.
Augusta leaps and slams down with her Broadblade. Instantly fills Prowess, enabling immediate Spinslash follow-up. Restores +10% Ascendancy. Lowest individual DPS contribution — primarily used as a rotation enabler.
Activated when Ascendancy hits 100. 3-part chain: Strike → Leap → Plunge. Only Plunge deals Heavy Attack DMG and grants Majesty. Interruption compensation exists for all 3 parts. Accounts for a large DPS share of the rotation.
Two versions: Tap = Normal Liberation (restores 40% Ascendancy, deals Heavy Attack DMG). Hold = Sublime is the Sun (time-stop with 9 slashes + Everbright Protector). Normal version used mid-rotation to fill Ascendancy. Enhanced version is the primary damage source (~53% of total DMG).
Deals Electro DMG and instantly fills Prowess to 100 and restores 20% Ascendancy. Essential rotation opener — always enter via Intro Skill each cycle for the immediate Spinslash setup. At S1: also grants 1 Crown of Wills stack.
15% All-DMG Amplification for the next character for 14s (disappears on switch). Critical mechanic: if that character casts their Outro within 14s, Augusta gains 1 Majesty + 1 Crown of Wills. Do not switch characters after this without fully building their Concerto Energy first.
Skill Leveling Priority
| Priority | Skill | DMG Share | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| ★★★★★ 1st | Resonance Liberation | ~53% | Primary damage source — the Enhanced Liberation (time-stop) is the entire centerpiece of her kit. Max first. |
| ★★★★ 2nd | Forte Circuit | High | Enhanced Resonance Skill chain (especially Plunge) is the second largest damage contributor and grants Majesty. |
| ★★★ 3rd | Basic Attack | ~23% | Heavy Attack multipliers (Backstep + Spinslash) scale with Basic Attack skill level — important but after Liberation. |
| ★★ 4th | Resonance Skill | Low | Used mostly as a rotation enabler (fills Prowess, builds Ascendancy) — minimal direct damage scaling. |
| ★ Last | Intro Skill | Minimal | Rotation enabler only — minimal personal damage scaling, level last. |
Best Weapons
| Weapon | Rarity | Substat | DPS Ratio | Key Passive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Thunderflare Dominion | 5★ Sig | Crit Rate 12.1% | 100% | +12% ATK. Heavy ATK DMG +20% for 15s after Intro/Skill. Shield gain: Heavy ATK DMG ignores 7.2% DEF ×5 stacks |
| Verdant Summit | 5★ | Crit DMG 48.6% | 93.2% | +12% DMG Bonus. Heavy ATK DMG +24% ×2 stacks (14s) after Intro Skill or Liberation. Augusta maintains full 48% all rotation |
| Ages of Harvest | 5★ | Crit Rate 24.3% | 83.3% | +12% Attr DMG Bonus. Intro Skill & Resonance Skill each grant +24% RS DMG Bonus for 12s (not ideal — RS DMG low) |
| Aureate Zenith | 4★ BP | Crit DMG 48.6% | 76.3% | +7.2% ATK & +10.8% Heavy ATK DMG Bonus for 15s after Liberation. Best non-5★ option |
| Autumntrace | 4★ F2P | Crit Rate 20.2% | 76.3% | +4% ATK per Basic/Heavy ATK hit ×5 stacks (7s). Stacking ATK bonus makes it competitive at max stacks |
⚡ Verdant Summit is a Near-Equal Alternative
If you already own Jiyan’s signature Verdant Summit, you can achieve 93.2% of the signature weapon’s output — making pulling Thunderflare Dominion optional for most players. This is because Augusta’s Liberation damage (both normal and Enhanced versions + all slashes) counts as Liberation DMG, allowing Verdant Summit’s 48% Heavy ATK bonus to refresh and be maintained throughout the entire rotation.
Best Echo Sets
Crown of Valor (3) + Void Thunder (2)
Crown of Valor 3-PC: +30% ATK and +20% Crit DMG while shielded (Augusta has near-permanent shields via Inherent Skill — triggers every 0.5s)
Void Thunder 2-PC: +10% Electro DMG Bonus — passive bonus applied always
Crown of Valor (3) + Lingering Tunes (2)
Crown of Valor 3-PC: Same ATK + Crit DMG boost while shielded
Lingering Tunes 2-PC: General ATK% buff. Viable if you lack Void Thunder pieces with good sub-stats
Void Thunder (5-PC)
5-PC: High Electro DMG Bonus after Heavy Attack or Resonance Skill
Accessible early in Huanglong. Use until you have enough Crown of Valor pieces with good sub-stats
Best Main Echo
Passively provides +12% Electro DMG Bonus and +12% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus just by having it equipped. Echo Skill deals high Electro DMG on activation. This dual passive makes it the best-in-slot main echo for Augusta with no activation condition required.
Echo Main Stats Priority
| Echo Slot (Cost) | Main Stat | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Main Echo (4-Cost) | The False Sovereign | Use as main echo slot — its passive gives dual Electro & Heavy ATK Bonus on equip. Main stat: Crit Rate (S0–S1) / Crit DMG (S2+) |
| 3-Cost Echo ×2 | Electro DMG Bonus | Do not use ATK% here — Electro DMG is significantly better (~4% DPS difference per echo) |
| 1-Cost Echo ×2 | ATK% | Universal scaling for all damage types across her kit |
Echo Sub-Stats Priority
| Sub-Stat | Priority | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Crit Rate | ★★★★★ Top | Reach 70–80% at S0. At S2 Crown of Wills adds 40% Crit Rate — may allow switching 4-Cost main stat to Crit DMG |
| Crit DMG | ★★★★★ Top | Target 220–250%. +20% from Crown of Valor 3-PC. Higher is better once Crit Rate is secured |
| Heavy Attack DMG Bonus | ★★★★ High | More valuable than ATK% for Augusta due to her Heavy Attack-centric damage output |
| ATK% | ★★★ Mid | Good filler; lower value than Heavy Attack DMG Bonus for Augusta specifically |
| Energy Regen | ★★ Low | ~120% ER is sufficient — do not exceed. Enhanced Liberation costs Majesty, not energy, so surplus ER is wasted |
🎯 Target Stat Goals
Optimal Damage Rotation
Critical Notes: Intro Skill fills Prowess to 100 — immediately hold Basic Attack for Backstep + Spinslash. Normal Liberation (tap) fills 40% Ascendancy for the Enhanced Skill chain. After the 3-part Enhanced Skill Plunge, do not hold Liberation immediately — wait until the landing animation is halfway done or completed to avoid losing the 865% multiplier Plunge hit. During the 7-second time stop, complete all 9 Sunborne slashes before triggering Everbright Protector. After the state ends, use Echo Skill then switch out for Outro buff. In Endstate Matrix and ToA multi-wave: use the time-stop immediately after the first wave dies to continue dealing damage to freshly spawned enemies — this is Augusta’s key competitive advantage.
Best Team Compositions
★ Premium BIS — Augusta + Iuno
Iuno provides 40% All DMG amplification + 50% Heavy Attack DMG — unmatched synergy with Augusta’s kit. Their shield mechanics stack perfectly.
⚡ Double DPS — Augusta + Jinhsi
Jinhsi naturally handles Augusta’s strict Outro rotation requirement, while fully utilizing Augusta’s 15% All-DMG Outro buff on her own damage windows.
🆕 3.2 Option — Augusta + Qiuyuan
New in 3.2 — Qiuyuan grants a team-wide Crit DMG buff when his Crit Rate hits 65%, directly benefiting Augusta’s damage. An emerging option as players build him up.
💰 Mortefi Alt — F2P Sub-DPS
Mortefi provides Heavy ATK Deepen off-field and is fully free to obtain. Affordable alternative while saving for Iuno.
Resonance Chain (Sequence Nodes)
| Node | Name | Effect | Rating & DMG Impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| S1 | Stained in Scorched Earth | Crown of Wills max stacks +1 (to 2). Each stack: +15% Electro DMG + +15% Crit DMG. Intro Skill grants 1 stack. Enhanced RS immune to interruption | ★★★★ +~16% |
| S2 | Cleansed in Crimson War | Crown of Wills also grants +20% Crit Rate per stack (40% total at 2 stacks). Overflow mechanic: every 1% Crit Rate over 100% = +2% Crit DMG (up to 100%). Allows Crit DMG 4-Cost main stat | ★★★★★ +~25% |
| S3 | Forged in Rot and Ruin | +25% DMG Multiplier to: Backstep, Spinslash, Uppercut, Undying Sunlight Plunge, and all Sunborne slashes + Everbright Protector | ★★★★ +~16% |
| S4 | Ascent in Sun and Glory | Intro Skill gives +20% ATK to ALL team members for 30s — team-wide buff | ★★★★ Team Buff |
| S5 | Unshaken in Wrathful Tides | Glory’s Favor shield strength +50% — improves team survivability and consistency | ★★★ QoL |
| S6 | Engraved in Radiant Light | Crown of Wills max stacks +2 (to 4). Spinslash and Uppercut now grant 2 Crown stacks. Crit Rate overflow cap raised to 175%. Two additional Electro Heavy ATK damage instances on each Heavy Attack | ★★★★★ +~52% |
✓ Recommended Pull Order
S0R1 > S1R1 > S2R1 > S6R1 — S2 is the strongest early investment, providing a major Crit Rate boost and stat freedom. Augusta is T0-complete at S0. S6 nearly doubles late-game potential but is entirely optional for clearing all endgame content.
Ascension & Skill Materials
| Material Type | Source | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Shell Credits | Daily activities, exploration rewards | 170,000 (Ascension) + 2,030,000 (Forte) |
| Blighted Crown of Puppet King | Drops from The False Sovereign (World Boss) | Rank 1–6 Ascension |
| Luminous Calendula | Field gathering in Rinascita / Septimont region (see Interactive Map) | Ascension material |
| Normal Enemy Drops | Common enemies in Rinascita / Septimont region | LF/MF/HF/FF tiers required for Ascension ranks |
| Waveworn Residue | Forgery Challenge: Eroded Ruins or Garden of Adoration (also purchasable in large cities) | Forte Circuit skill leveling (all levels 1–10) |
| When Irises Bloom | Weekly Boss drops from Fleurdelys — limited to 3/week | Required for Resonance Liberation & Forte Circuit Lv 7–10 |
⚠ Ascension materials are locked behind story progression — players must advance through the Version 3.0 story to access Rinascita / Septimont region farming locations. Plan around this limitation before pulling.
Should You Pull Augusta?
Updated for Version 3.2 (April 2026). Augusta’s banner has passed, but she may return on a rerun banner in a future patch.
✅ Pull If…
- ✓ You want a T0 Electro DPS with a unique time-stop mechanic that works in all three endgame modes
- ✓ You already have Verdant Summit (Jiyan sig) — 93% performance without her signature
- ✓ You already have or plan to pull Iuno for maximum synergy
- ✓ You want to dominate endgame timers with her time-freeze advantage across ToA, WW & Endstate Matrix
- ✓ You need a strong Electro DPS for your roster’s secondary/tertiary Endstate Matrix teams
⊘ Skip If…
- ✗ You prefer simple, easy-to-play DPS characters
- ✗ You lack premium 5-star weapons or Iuno — her performance dips noticeably
- ✗ You are currently saving for Sigrika (3.2) or other upcoming characters
- ✗ Your focus is on Off-Tune, Tune Rupture, or Negative Status team archetypes — Augusta doesn’t specialize in these 3.x mechanics
The Verdict
🏆 The Electro Queen — T0 in 3.2
Augusta earns her T0 ranking as a consistent, hard-hitting Electro Heavy Attack DPS with one of the most unique mechanics in Wuthering Waves — a time-stop Liberation that freezes endgame timers across Tower of Adversity, Whimpering Wastes, and the newly added Endstate Matrix in 3.2.
What makes her special: A three-layer resource system (Prowess → Ascendancy → Majesty) that chains together seamlessly when mastered. Her Verdant Summit compatibility means heavy weapon investment is optional, and her self-sustaining shields via Inherent Skill enable both Crown of Valor and her signature weapon’s passives without any effort. She is complete and T0-viable at S0 — no dupes required.
3.2 Context: Augusta doesn’t gain additional synergy from the new Tune Rupture and Echo Skill DMG meta — that arena belongs to Sigrika and Aemeath. However, she remains among the top T0 DPS in the game due to her independent, self-contained damage ceiling and unmatched endgame timer advantage.
Final Recommendation: Pull Augusta if you want a unique and rewarding DPS experience. Use Verdant Summit if available, farm Crown of Valor (3) + Void Thunder (2), pair with Iuno + Shorekeeper for best results. Master the Spinslash timing and Outro rotation — she rewards skill with exceptional endgame performance across all three current game modes.
