The honest caveat is equally important: he is only limited to these 2 teams because of the nature of his kit focusing on the archetype of Echo Skill damage. If you do not have Galbrena, Phrolova, or Cantarella built, Qiuyuan’s unique buff goes to waste. He provides no meaningful advantage over generic supports in teams that do not scale from Echo Skill DMG.

But if you are building toward any of those DPS characters — especially Galbrena — pulling Qiuyuan during his available banner is the right call.
