TL;DR
- Farm your weapon first — it gives the biggest combat boost early on.
- Do Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds before anything else at Level 45 — permanent upgrades first.
- Spend Odyle Energy on Conquest dungeons in order: Krao Cave → Urugugu Canyon → Vakron Sky Island → Fire Temple.
- Daevanion Crystals are top priority — each one is +1 permanent Item Level, forever.
- Unlock Transcendence at 1,600 Item Level to start farming Arcana cards.
- Do Daily Dungeons every day — they are a reliable source of Enhance Stones and Kinah.
Why Farming Priority Matters in AION 2
AION 2 throws a lot of systems at you fast. Dungeons, currencies, gear slots, energy limits — it is easy to spend hours doing the wrong things and wonder why your character is not getting stronger. The good news is that the game has a very clear priority order once you understand it.
This guide tells you exactly what to farm first, what to farm second, and what to save for later. Follow this order and your progression will be smooth and fast. Ignore it and you will hit walls that feel much harder than they need to be.

AION 2 Farming Priority: The Quick Order
Here is the priority order at a glance. Each section below explains the why in more detail.
- Daevanion Crystals (permanent +1 Item Level each)
- Your Weapon (biggest single combat upgrade)
- Enhance Stones (from Daily Dungeons and Sealed Dungeons)
- Belt and Amulet progression (permanent accessory power)
- Conquest gear in order (Krao Cave → Urugugu Canyon → Vakron Sky Island → Fire Temple)
- Arcana cards via Transcendence (unlocks at 1,600 Item Level)
- Kinah for enhancement and crafting
- Pet Souls for Genus Insight bonuses (lower priority, but valuable long term)
What to Farm Before Level 45
Follow Episode Quests, Not Mobs
During leveling, your number one job is to follow the main Episode quest chain. These quests give 97% to 99% of the XP you need to reach Level 45. Grinding mobs is almost always a waste of time compared to moving through the story.
That said, two farming activities are worth doing on the side as you level:
- Sealed Dungeons — The question mark icons on your map. Each one gives Daevanion Crystals and Skill Points on your first clear. Run them once as you pass through each area.
- Strongholds — Open-world bosses that drop Belt Enhancement Scrolls. Your Noble Belt has a long permanent upgrade path, so do not skip these.
Do not repeat Sealed Dungeons over and over while leveling. First-clear rewards are what matters. After that, move on.
Pick Up Empyrean Trace Feathers
These are small collectible items scattered across the open world. Pick them up whenever you see them. Turning them in at a Monolith gives Amulet Scrolls for your Revelation Amulet, which is another permanent progression item that never gets replaced.
Do Not Over-Invest in Leveling Gear
Only enhance your weapon enough to make questing feel comfortable. Do not pour enhancement materials into armor or accessories during the leveling phase. You will replace all of it at Level 45, so those materials are wasted. Save them.

What to Farm First at Level 45
When you hit the level cap, the order changes completely. You are no longer farming XP. You are farming Item Level and permanent progression. Here is exactly what to prioritize first.
Step 1: Farm Daevanion Crystals First

This is the single highest-priority farm in the early endgame. Every Daevanion Crystal you spend on the Daevanion Board adds +1 permanent Item Level to your character. It does not disappear when you change gear. It stays forever.
Daevanion Crystals come from:
- Regional Quests
- Sealed Dungeons (first clears)
- The Nightmare shop and Abyss shop at endgame
- Conquest dungeon reward cubes
Spend them the moment you have them. There is no reason to save Daevanion Crystals. The Daevanion Board also adds skill levels to your active abilities, pushing core skills beyond their base cap. This makes Daevanion one of the most impactful long-term systems in the game.
Step 2: Complete All Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds
If you did not finish all of these while leveling, do them now before starting Conquest farming. They give permanent Skill Points, Daevanion progression, and Belt Enhancement Scrolls. These are not repeatable rewards — they come from each dungeon once. Get them done and out of the way before spending Odyle Energy on Conquest runs.
Step 3: Complete Regional Quests for Accessories and Runes
Regional Quests at Level 45 reward Liberator accessories — a useful set of Epic rings, earrings, and necklaces that fill weak accessory slots without needing dungeon gear. They also give Clash Runes, which are slotted into your gear and provide direct PvE damage and defensive stats. Clash Runes contribute to your Item Level the moment you equip them.
Prioritize Regional Quests that reward accessories, Clash Runes, and Power Shards. These give the biggest early Item Level jump from non-dungeon content. Also look for quests that reward useful titles — the “To Hell and Back” title is one worth grabbing early.
Do not waste premium enhancement materials on accessories from these quests, though. They are stepping stones, not your final gear.
Best Dungeons to Farm in AION 2 (in Order)
AION 2 uses Odyle Energy to open reward cubes in dungeons. Each character generates roughly 1,120 Odyle per week. This means your Odyle is a limited resource — spend it on the highest-value content you can currently clear.
Here is the correct dungeon farming order:
Krao Cave and Draupnir (Item Level 700)

These are your first Conquest-tier dungeons, available from Level 45 at 700 Item Level. Farm both together — Krao Cave focuses on weapons and accessories at Item Level 54, while Draupnir handles the corresponding armor tier. Running only one of them leaves half your gear slots without a source.
Krao Cave also drops Kinah reliably — around 70,000 Kinah per run before sellable drops. It is a solid early Kinah source while you gear up.
For Enhance Stones on a budget, the Exploration (easier) versions of these dungeons cost only 20 Odyle Energy per cube, compared to 40 for Conquest. Farm Exploration versions for stones if you are running low on Odyle.
Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island (Item Level 1,400)

Once you reach 1,400 Item Level, move to these two dungeons. They drop Item Level 70 Unique gear, which is a substantial upgrade. Again, pair them — Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island cover complementary gear slots and carry you through into Transcendence content. This is also the stage where enhancing your gear starts to matter more. Stop under-investing and start pushing key pieces toward higher enhancement levels.
Transcendence: Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis (Item Level 1,600)
At 1,600 Item Level, Transcendence unlocks. This is the most important gate in the early endgame. These two dungeons are the primary source of Arcana cards, which add between +20 and +80 Item Level per slot depending on card grade (Common to Unique). Empty Arcana slots are free Item Level you are leaving on the table.
Farm the highest Transcendence stage your group can clear consistently, not the hardest stage just for the sake of it. Steady Arcana farming from a stage you reliably complete gives better results than wiping on a harder stage.
Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den (Item Level 2,100)
These are the highest-tier Conquest dungeons in Global Season 1 and the best source of Item Level 86 gear. This gear is what you wear going into the Sanctuary raid content. The barrier here is real — you need 2,100 Item Level, and the dungeons are genuinely challenging. Keep developing your Daevanion, Stigmas, and Arcana while pushing toward this gate.
Daily Dungeons (Every Day, Every Stage)
Do your Daily Dungeon every single day without fail. Daily Dungeons are available from around Level 30 and reset daily. They give Enhance Stones and Kinah on a reliable schedule. They do not cost Odyle Energy, which means they are a free source of enhancement materials on top of your regular dungeon farming. Make them part of your daily routine.
What to Farm for Equipment Upgrades
Farm Your Weapon First
When targeting new gear, always go for your weapon before any other slot. For most classes in AION 2, your weapon is the single biggest contributor to your damage output and overall combat effectiveness. A weapon upgrade gives a more noticeable power increase than any other piece of gear at the same item level.
Once your weapon is in a solid place, target your weakest armor and accessory slots. Remember: dungeon entry gates check your total Item Level, so upgrading a weak slot by 20 points does more for your gate access than polishing a piece that is already strong.
Farm Enhance Stones Consistently
Enhancement is one of the most reliable ways to raise Item Level. Every enhancement level on a piece of gear adds +1 Item Level directly. The goal during early endgame is to push each piece you plan to keep to at least +10 before transformation.
Best ways to farm Enhance Stones:
- Daily Dungeons — Free daily source, no Odyle cost.
- Krao Cave and Urugugu Canyon Exploration modes — Only 20 Odyle per cube. Good value for stones.
- Open-world Rifts — Rifts occasionally spawn in the open world and drop Enhance Stones when cleared.
- Dismantling old gear — Old equipment you have replaced can be broken down into enhancement materials. Do not vendor it.
Belt and Amulet: Do Not Ignore These
Your Noble Belt and Revelation Amulet have their own separate upgrade paths. You enhance each to Level 10, then use Substance Morph to transform them to the next rarity tier (Common → Rare → Epic → Unique). Each rarity upgrade is permanent and gives meaningful stat and Item Level gains.
Belt Scrolls come from Strongholds. Amulet Scrolls come from submitting Empyrean Trace Feathers to Monoliths. These are not random drops — they are guaranteed from the right activities. Do not skip this content.
Many players underestimate Belt and Amulet progression because the gains look small individually. Over time, they stack into a substantial permanent advantage over players who ignored them.
What to Farm for Arcana

Arcana cards are the endgame power layer that sits on top of your gear. Each equipped card adds Item Level based on its grade:
- Common: +20 Item Level per slot
- Rare: +40 Item Level per slot
- Epic/Legendary: +60 Item Level per slot
- Unique: +80 Item Level per slot
Never leave an Arcana slot empty. Fill it with a Common card the moment you have one. A full set of Common cards still adds hundreds of Item Level across all slots. Then upgrade them over time as you farm better grades from Transcendence.
Arcana also adds skill levels to specific active and passive skills when equipped — another reason to fill your slots as soon as possible.
What to Farm for Kinah

Kinah is AION 2’s main currency and you will need a lot of it for enhancement and other upgrades. Here is what to prioritize:
- Daily Quests via the Duty Tab — Up to five per day at Level 45. These give guaranteed Kinah, Enhance Stones, and Odyle rechargers.
- Conquest dungeon runs — Krao Cave gives 70,000 Kinah per run and Urugugu Canyon gives 100,000, before factoring in sellable drops.
- Gathering while questing — Pick up ore nodes, plants, and aether during travel. Basic materials sell steadily to crafting players.
- Dismantling replaced gear — Old equipment you no longer need should be broken down or sold immediately. Do not hoard it.
- Abyss Points conversion — Exchange Abyss Points for Mana Stones at the Abyss shop. These are in constant demand from players enhancing builds and sell well on the market.
A reliable 90-minute daily routine — Daily Quests, a few Conquest runs, some gathering — will keep Kinah flowing steadily without needing to grind for hours.
What to Farm for Pet Souls and Genus Insight
Pets in AION 2 are not cosmetic — they connect to the Genus Insight system, which gives permanent passive stat bonuses based on how many Pet species you own and how many Souls you have collected per species.
Farming Pet Souls is lower priority than gear, Arcana, and Daevanion, but it is worth doing in the background. The efficient approach is to unlock several different species first rather than maxing out a single one. Unlocking a pet requires only 5 Souls and immediately gives its first Owned Effect plus 500 Genus Insight EXP.
Best early pets to farm:
- Elyos: Fungie (Verteron) and Kalgolem or Contaminated Slime (Verteron) for early Natura and Varian pets.
- Asmodians: Rafflesia (Altgard) and Swarm / Contaminated Swarm (Altgard, Level 11+).
- For Cogni pets: Elyos farm in Poeta, Asmodians farm Decomposed Lupyllini in Altgard.

AION 2 Daily Farming Routine (Recommended)
A good daily routine keeps you progressing without burning out. Here is a simple loop that covers the most important farming every day:
- Complete Daily Dungeon (free Enhance Stones and Kinah).
- Complete up to five Daily Quests via the Duty Tab.
- Spend Odyle Energy on your current Conquest tier (Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, or Fire Temple depending on Item Level).
- Pick up Empyrean Trace Feathers in the open world while traveling.
- Spend any new Daevanion Crystals immediately on the Daevanion Board.
- Check Nightmare dungeon — two attempts per day bank up to 14, so do not let them cap out.
This routine takes roughly 60 to 90 minutes per day and covers all major progression systems without wasting your limited Odyle Energy.
Common Farming Mistakes to Avoid
- Saving Daevanion Crystals: There is no reason to hold onto them. Spend every one immediately.
- Farming Sealed Dungeons on repeat: First clears give the permanent rewards. After that, move to Conquest content.
- Only running one Conquest dungeon: Krao Cave and Draupnir pair together. Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island pair together. Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den pair together. Farm them as pairs to cover all gear slots.
- Leaving Arcana slots empty: Even Common-grade Arcana cards add meaningful Item Level. Fill slots as soon as possible.
- Enhancing gear you are about to replace: Save enhancement materials for pieces that will stay in your character for a while. Enhancing temporary stepping-stone gear wastes resources.
- Ignoring Belt and Amulet scrolls: These are permanent upgrades. Missing Strongholds or skipping Monolith feather turn-ins is leaving long-term power on the table.
- Spending Odyle on low-tier dungeons too long: Upgrade your target tier as soon as your Item Level qualifies. Higher-tier dungeon cubes give better gear and more Kinah per Odyle spent.
Final Summary: What to Farm First in AION 2
The farming priority in AION 2 comes down to one rule: permanent upgrades first, temporary gear second. Daevanion Crystals, Belt Scrolls, Amulet Scrolls, Sealed Dungeon clears, and Regional Quests all give bonuses that never go away. Stack those first, then chase Conquest gear in the correct order as your Item Level grows.
Follow the dungeon ladder — Krao Cave and Draupnir at 700, Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island at 1,400, Transcendence at 1,600, and Fire Temple with Ferocious Horn Den at 2,100. Do your Daily Dungeon every day without exception. Spend every Daevanion Crystal the moment you get it. And never leave an Arcana slot empty.
