All Elite Golem Locations in Beast of Reincarnation

All Elite Golem Locations in Beast of Reincarnation is one of the most searched topics for players going for 100% completion. Beast of Reincarnation has 34 Elite Golems hidden across its many zones. These are not regular enemies. They are proper minibosses with more health, stronger attacks, and serious rewards waiting for you after the fight. Hunt them all down and the Wandering Duelist trophy or achievement is yours. This guide covers every single one, zone by zone, in the order you will naturally encounter them as you play through the game. If you are still working through the main story, check our chapter and quest list so you know where you are in the game before diving into this guide.

Before we get into the locations, a few things worth knowing up front. Elite Golems show up on your map as an “ELITE ENEMY” icon once you are close to them. This icon also unlocks when you speak to a Keeper Golem. Once you kill one, the icon disappears from the map. Note that Elite Malefacts share the same icon, but killing them does NOT count toward Wandering Duelist. Only Elite Golems count.

What Are Elite Golems in Beast of Reincarnation?

Elite Golems are robotic humanoid minibosses scattered throughout the game’s zones from Chapters 1 through 9. They are stronger versions of normal Golems — more health, more damage, and more aggressive. Some of them block story progress, so you will fight them no matter what. But most are optional and hidden in side areas away from the main path.

Defeating them is absolutely worth it beyond just the trophy. They drop Skill Ambers for Koo, Strongbox codes that unlock locked chests with rare loot, and other valuable materials. Some even guard Keeper Golems — and since there are only 30 Keeper Golems in the entire game, skipping an Elite Golem that blocks one means skipping permanent content.

Good news though — nothing is missable. Even after you finish the main story, you can roam freely and clean up any Elite Golems you missed before starting New Game+.

How to Spot Elite Golems on the Map

Elite Golems are marked with an ELITE ENEMY icon on your map when you walk near them. You can also reveal their location ahead of time by talking to the nearest Keeper Golem in that zone. Once killed, the icon clears from the map so you always know what is left to find.

One quick tip: if you see an Elite enemy icon and it turns out to be a Malefact instead of a Golem, killing it does not count toward Wandering Duelist. Always double-check what you are fighting.

all elite enemy locations in beast of reincarnation

All Elite Golem Locations — Ogouchi Buffer Zone

This is the first zone in the game and has the most Elite Golems to find. Seven in total. A few of them are very easy to miss since they are tucked away from the main path.

Elite Golem 1 — Cliffside Village West

Head west from Cliffside Village toward the upper area near the map edge. The Elite Golem is up here guarding this elevated section. It is one of the first optional Elite enemies you can fight. Defeating it also gets you the Strongbox code for the chest nearby — the code is always 08110 if you want to grab the loot first and come back for the fight later.

Elite Golem 2 — Disposal Site

Go northeast from the Village Surroundings campfire and you will reach the Disposal Site. This Elite Golem sits deep inside the disposal area. Watch out — there are archer-type Golems on towers around the area who will shoot you while you fight. Take out the towers first, then drop down to fight the Elite Golem.

Elite Golem 3 — Quarry Area

From the Quarry Interior campsite, ride the elevators upward. After the second elevator, keep going to the top level. The Elite Golem is waiting up there. This one is fairly straightforward once you find the right elevator path.

Elite Golem 4 — Ruined Tower Top

This one is directly above the Ruined Tower Area campsite. You need to climb all the way to the top floor of the Ruined Tower. There are lots of regular enemies on the way up. The Elite Golem is at the very top. Do not skip this one — a Keeper Golem is blocked by this enemy, and missing it means losing access to one of the 30 permanent Keeper Golems.

Elite Golem 5 — Downstream Bridge Area

From the Downstream Bridge Area campsite, head northwest. Jump from the ledge below to reach the area behind the Elite Golem. The jump is the tricky part here — once you are behind it, the fight itself is manageable.

Elite Golem 6 — Story Door (Required)

This one you cannot miss. After you clear the first room in this section, a door opens. The Elite Golem is right behind it and you must beat it to keep moving forward. It counts toward Wandering Duelist automatically as part of story progression.

Elite Golem 7 — North of Subcity 02

Head north from the Subcity 02 campsite to the very edge of the map. Jump over the wall here to find a small hidden cave. The Elite Golem is inside near a strongbox. The code for that box is always 01498. This one is very easy to miss if you do not explore the map edge.

All Elite Golem Locations — Ancient Civilization Zone

This zone has three Elite Golems, and two of them are tied to story missions. Check out our Ancient Civilization Zone guide for full coverage of this area.

Elite Golem 8 — After the Bulkhead Doors

Use the control panel to open the bulkhead doors in this zone. After passing through the second bulkhead door, the Elite Golem is right there in the next area. Hard to miss once you operate the control panel correctly.

Elite Golem 9 — Story Fight (Required)

After the large Golem boss in this area, you must fight this Elite Golem to continue the story. It is mandatory.

Elite Golem 10 — Lightning Stone Story Fight (Required)

You will encounter this Elite Golem automatically while obtaining the Lightning Stone during story progression. Another one you cannot skip.

All Elite Golem Locations — The Great Wall Terraces

Six Elite Golems are here. Some are in easy-to-spot spots; others need a bit of climbing and exploration.

Elite Golems 11 and 12 — East Bridge Near Mountain Plaza

From the Mountain Plaza Forefront campsite, go south and follow the hill up to a bridge. Walk east along the bridge and you will find two Elite Golems standing near the middle of it. You fight them together, so be prepared for a two-on-one encounter.

Elite Golem 13 — Maze of Sin Interior

This one shares the same room as the Maze of Sin Interior campsite. Walk in and you will see it right away. Probably the most straightforward Elite Golem in the whole zone.

Elite Golem 14 — Northwest of Great Forest Clearing

From the Great Forest Clearing: Approach campsite, head northwest along the road. You will spot two Golems that appear to be talking to each other. One of them is the Elite Golem. Attack carefully — this is another two-enemy situation. Note: some players report this enemy’s icon does not appear or the two Golems seem stuck. If that happens, try resting at a campsite and returning.

Elite Golem 15 — Above Ruined Road Square Shrine

Northwest of the Ruined Road Square campsite. Use your grapple to climb up the platforms until you reach the top level above the shrine. The Elite Golem is waiting up there.

Elite Golem 16 — Subcity of Flowers Interior

After the Subcity of Flowers: Interior campsite, move into the next room. The Elite Golem is right there. The Strongbox code in this section is always 01498.

All Elite Golem Locations — Pilgrim’s Zone

Three Elite Golems are here. Two of them are in the same open area and can be tough to deal with at the same time.

Elite Golems 17 and 18 — Wandering Duelist’s Caven Campsite Area

Go southeast from the Wandering Duelist’s Caven campsite into the open area. Two Elite Golems are here together. You can use the tall grass or get onto an upper platform nearby to score a sneak attack on one of them before the other notices you. That makes the fight much easier. These two drop Tenacity Incense and Corrosive Fang Skill Ambers for Koo.

Elite Golem 19 — North of Cave Entrance Campsite

From the Cave Entrance campsite, head north. The Elite Golem is along the main path through the cave. This one is hard to miss if you are going north through this area.

All Elite Golem Locations — Matsukawa Zone

Four Elite Golems here, all in different buildings and rooms. Pay attention to each campsite reference to track them down.

Elite Golem 20 — Upper Matsukawa Colony

From the Upper Matsukawa Colony (Front) campsite, go south toward the door that leads to the central area. The Elite Golem is right before that door.

Elite Golem 21 — Library Hall

Head southwest from the Library Hall campsite. Go to the upper level of the room and look in the southwest corner. The Elite Golem is tucked up here. Easy to walk right past it if you stick to the lower level.

Elite Golem 22 — Prayer Room

Northwest of the Prayer Room campsite, inside the room itself. The Elite Golem is waiting when you go in.

Elite Golem 23 — Mausoleum Northeast

Go northeast from the Mausoleum campsite and enter the first part of the next room. There are two other regular Golems here alongside the Elite Golem. Deal with the regular ones first if you can to avoid being overwhelmed.

All Elite Golem Locations — Fuji Frontier Zone

Three Elite Golems in this zone. Two are story-required. The third is optional but hidden in a cave off the side path.

Elite Golem 24 — Story Fight at Defense Outpost Outskirts (Required)

You are forced into this fight immediately after the Defense Outpost Outskirts campsite as part of story progression. No way to skip it.

Elite Golem 25 — Cave Near Defense Outpost Wall

From Defense Outpost Wall, go back outside to the cliffs. Drop down the platforms to the bottom level where you will find a shrine and a Keeper Golem. Follow the path back upward until it splits — one way goes into a cave to the west and another goes up some cliff platforms. Take the cave to the west. The Elite Golem is inside that cave.

Elite Golem 26 — Story Fight After Defense Outpost Wall (Required)

Another mandatory fight immediately after the Defense Outpost Wall campsite. You must beat this one to keep progressing.

All Elite Golem Locations — Giant Tree Zone

Two Elite Golems in this zone. One is tied to a key item pickup; the other is optional.

Elite Golem 27 — Giant Tree Key Story Fight (Required)

You encounter this Elite Golem while trying to obtain the Giant Tree Key during the main story. Required to beat to get the key and keep going.

Elite Golem 28 — North of Drowned Ruins Center Campsite

From the Drowned Ruins: Center campsite, head north. The Elite Golem is on the platform directly above the campsite. Short climb up and it is right there.

All Elite Golem Locations — Crater Zone

Five Elite Golems are found here and it is the biggest optional cluster in the game. Three of them are in the same cave at the end of one path.

Elite Golems 29, 30, and 31 — Ruined Highway Cave

From the Ruined Highway campsite, drop down to the lower level where you will see a tent with a cave opening at the back. Go through the cave and follow the path all the way to the end. Three Elite Golems are waiting there together. This is one of the toughest optional fights in the game — all three at once. Take your time, use the terrain to separate them if you can, and use Koo’s Skill Ambers to your advantage. These three drop the Entangled Fang, Final Fang, and Puppet Fang Skill Ambers. If you want to understand what Entanglement does before this fight, our guide on what Entanglement does in Beast of Reincarnation breaks it down.

Elite Golem 32 — Hidden Cave Southwest

Southwest of the Hidden Cave campsite, follow the path into a dead-end cave. The Elite Golem is at the end with some other regular enemies around it. Clear the smaller enemies first before engaging.

Elite Golem 33 — Lake Base Entrance East

Go east from the Lake Base: Entrance campsite. The Elite Golem is on top of the metal structures above the main path. You need to climb up to reach it.

All Elite Golem Locations — Inukami River Zone

The final zone has just one Elite Golem and it is the last one you need for Wandering Duelist.

Elite Golem 34 — North of Ruined Plaza Campsite

Head north from the Ruined Plaza campsite through the ruins area until you reach the end. The Elite Golem is here waiting. Kill it and Wandering Duelist unlocks.

    Tips for Defeating Elite Golems

Elite Golems hit hard and have a lot of health. Here are a few practical things to keep in mind before taking on the tougher ones:

    • Clear the area first. Regular enemies nearby can turn a tough fight into an impossible one. Pull them away or kill them before engaging the Elite Golem.
    • Use sneak attacks. Where the terrain allows it, get above or behind the Elite Golem and open with a plunge or sneak strike. This removes a good chunk of health before the real fight starts.
    • Bring Stimpacks. Stock up before each Elite fight. If you need more, our guide on how to increase Stimpacks in Beast of Reincarnation explains how to expand your supply.
    • Use Koo’s Skill Ambers. Elemental Skill Ambers you earn from earlier Elite Golems are very useful in later fights. Match the element to the enemy’s weakness when possible.
    • You can grab Strongbox loot without fighting first. Strongbox codes are fixed across all playthroughs. You can enter the code and get the item even if you have not beaten the guarding Elite Golem yet. Come back and fight it for the trophy afterward.
    • Rest and respec if needed. If a specific Elite Golem is giving you trouble, you can adjust your build. Check our guide on how to respec in Beast of Reincarnation for help.

What Do You Get for Defeating All Elite Golems?

Beyond the Wandering Duelist trophy/achievement, Elite Golems are some of the best sources of rewards in the game. Here is a quick breakdown of what you get:

    • Skill Ambers for Koo — These are equippable items that give Koo on-command elemental attacks and support buffs. Great Wall Terraces Elites drop Shocking Fang, Aquatic Fang, and Bull Incense. Pilgrim’s Zone Elites drop Tenacity Incense and Corrosive Fang. Crater Zone Elites drop Entangled Fang, Final Fang, and Puppet Fang.
    • Strongbox codes — Several Elite Golems guard locked strongboxes nearby. Defeating them reveals the code, but the code is always the same across all playthroughs: Disposal Site is 04180, Cliffside Village is 08110, and Subcity of Flowers is 01498.
    • Rare crafting materials — Elite Golems often drop materials you cannot easily get elsewhere, useful for weapon upgrades and gear.
    • Access to hidden areas — Some Elite Golems physically block paths to Keeper Golems and other collectibles. Beating them is the only way in.

    Can You Miss Elite Golems?

No. None of the 34 Elite Golems are permanently missable. Even after you beat the game, you enter free-roam and can go back to find any you missed before starting New Game+. The Elite Enemy icon disappears from the map once you kill one, so any icons still showing are ones you still need to defeat. You can also check which ones you still need by speaking to Keeper Golems — they will mark nearby Elite enemies on your map. Our full achievements guide can help you track everything else needed for 100% completion alongside the Wandering Duelist.

Wandering Duelist Trophy — How Many Elite Golems Count?

All 34 Elite Golems in the game are tracked, but some of the mandatory story Golems may not count toward the trophy counter since the game registers them as required encounters rather than optional hunts. The trophy should still unlock naturally if you beat all 34. If it is not popping, double-check that you have not confused any Elite Malefacts for Elite Golems — those do NOT count.

Want to keep track of your overall progress across the full game? Our chapter and quest list alongside the all achievements guide will keep everything organized for you as you go for full completion.
