- Keeper Golems are sitting NPCs that share one piece of information when Emma speaks to them
- You can only ask each one a single question — choose carefully
- Rewards include map markers for Elite enemies, weapons, manuals, and Skill Amber
- Emma has a limited number of questions across the whole game — they do not replenish
- The Finders Keepers achievement requires speaking to 30 Keeper Golems total
- You cannot find 30 in a single playthrough — you need both runs
- Keeper Golems you spoke to in Run 1 count again in New Game+ toward the total of 30
- The first zone Keeper Golem (the Rusted Golem in Ogouchi Buffer Zone) does not count toward the achievement
All Keeper Golem Locations In Beast Of Reincarnation — What You Need To Know First
Finding all Keeper Golem locations in Beast Of Reincarnation is essential for both collectible completion and the Finders Keepers achievement. Keeper Golems are dying NPCs scattered across all 12 zones. Each one knows something about the area around them — a weapon location, a dangerous enemy, a hidden item — and will share that knowledge when Emma speaks to them. But you only get one question per Golem, and Emma’s total number of questions across the whole game is limited, so spending them well matters.
Koo detects Keeper Golems when Emma is close enough and marks them on the map — the same way he marks Dragon Vein Shrines. If you want to find every shrine alongside every Golem in the same exploration pass, our full shrine locations guide covers all Dragon Vein Shrine spots zone by zone.
You can play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC via Steam. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes the game day one.

How The Finders Keepers Achievement Works
The Finders Keepers achievement unlocks after speaking to 30 Keeper Golems total. This is the only collectible in Beast Of Reincarnation that requires two full playthroughs to complete — there are simply not enough Keeper Golems in a single campaign run to reach 30.
Here is the key mechanic that makes this work: Keeper Golems you already spoke to in your first run count again in New Game+. So if you spoke to 20 Golems in your first playthrough and then speak to the first 10 again in NG+, the achievement pops at that tenth conversation in NG+. You do not need to find new ones in the second run — revisiting ones you already found is enough.
This means the best strategy is to find and speak to as many Keeper Golems as possible during your first run. The more you collect in Run 1, the fewer you need to revisit in New Game+.
What Keeper Golems Tell You — And What To Ask
Each Keeper Golem offers Emma a choice of questions. The answer they give depends on what you ask. Possible rewards and effects include:
- Map marker to a nearby Elite enemy — defeating it rewards a Skill Amber for Koo
- Direct item reward — some Golems hand over items like the Manual: Recovery Tonic (S)
- Weapon location — a marker pointing toward a hidden blade in the zone
- Manual or recipe location — directing Emma toward crafting books she might otherwise miss
- Strongbox code or marker — pointing out locked containers in the area
Emma has a limited number of questions total across the whole game. Once she has used them all, approaching a Keeper Golem simply lets her release it from its duty without gaining any reward. Releasing a Golem still counts toward the Finders Keepers total, so even if your questions run dry, keep finding them. The achievement tracks conversations, not rewards received.
The best question to ask in most cases is the one pointing toward an Elite enemy or a Skill Amber — those rewards are harder to find through normal exploration and improve Koo’s combat capabilities meaningfully. Weapon and manual locations are useful but most weapons can be found without a Golem hint if you explore thoroughly.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 1: Ogouchi Buffer Zone (4 Golems)
The Ogouchi Buffer Zone has 4 Keeper Golems. Note that the first Golem you encounter — the Rusted Golem north of Cliffside Village: Interior campsite — is a tutorial NPC that introduces the Keeper Golem system. It does not count toward the Finders Keepers achievement. The 4 counted Golems are the ones listed below.

Keeper Golem 1 — River Fork Area
East of the River Fork campsite, near the map edge. The River Fork campsite is east of the Village by the Bridge campsite, along the river at the three-way split. From there, follow the path east toward the map boundary. The Keeper Golem is near the edge of the map in that direction.
Keeper Golem 2 — Ruined Tower
At the top of the Ruined Tower, inside the tent. The Ruined Tower Area campsite is north of the River Fork campsite. Climb the Ruined Tower to the top floor. The Keeper Golem is inside the tent directly behind where the Elite Golem was located.
Keeper Golem 3 — Tailwater Village Area
South of Tailwater Village, along the path in a small settlement. The Tailwater Village campsite is southeast of the Downstream Bridge Area campsite. Head south from the village along the path to find a settlement with Golems — the Keeper Golem is among them.
Keeper Golem 4 — Near the Nushi’s Lair (Underground)
Inside a cave on the northeastern side of where you fought the first Nushi. After the Rangifer boss fight, locate the mysterious cave on the northeast side of the battlefield. The Keeper Golem is inside.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 2: Ancient Civilization Zone (2 Golems)
The Ancient Civilization Zone has 2 Keeper Golems.

Keeper Golem 1 — Top of the Ruins (Near Ruins Path Campsite)
After finding a way around the first closed Bulkhead door, follow the butterflies across the gap to the northwest. The Keeper Golem is at the top of the ruins on that platform. From Shrine 1, look west across the gap where butterflies lead to another platform — extend Emma’s hair toward it and jump across. The Keeper Golem is at that location.
Best question: Ask about something dangerous nearby — this marks an Elite enemy that drops Skill Amber: Binding Fang when defeated.
Keeper Golem 2 — Above Raging River Campsite (Underground Ruins)
Above the Raging River campsite in the Underground Ruins section. From the Raging River campsite, grapple up to the west to the platform above, then go slightly south. The Keeper Golem is in front of a metal wall. Note: the Tomato Seedling is also on the platform above using the grapple point to the left.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 3: The Great Wall Terraces (5 Golems)
The Great Wall Terraces has 5 Keeper Golems, spread across its elevated sections and optional underground area.

Keeper Golem 1 — Mountain Village Area
Southwest of the Mountain Village Entrance campsite. Grapple up to the tower in the middle of the village area, then extend a branch (R2) toward the cliffs to the south. Butterflies show where the ledge is. The Keeper Golem is on that southern cliff ledge.
Keeper Golem 2 — Mountain Overlook Area
South of the Mountain Overlook campsite on the upper level. The Mountain Overlook campsite is northwest of the Mountain Plaza: Forefront area near the Nue boss zone. Head south from there along the upper level to find the Keeper Golem. Note: the Lore Painting is nearby — shoot the explosive container through the metal grate wall to break the wall and find it.
Keeper Golem 3 — Great Forest Clearing
Southeast of the Great Forest Clearing: Approach campsite, in the middle of two ruined buildings. The Great Forest Clearing: Approach campsite is northeast of the Great Forest Entrance, along the path through the area. Head southeast from the campsite between the two ruined buildings.
Keeper Golem 4 — Hidden Stone Hall Cave
West of the Hidden Stone Hall campsite, inside the cave. The Hidden Stone Hall campsite is southwest of the Flower Field Tower, across the river at the west map edge. From the campsite, go west into the cave opening. The Keeper Golem is inside.
Keeper Golem 5 — Subcity of Flowers (Optional Underground Area)
In the final room of the Subcity of Flowers, after defeating the Elite Golem inside. The Subcity of Flowers is an optional underground area entered through a hatch northeast of Flower Square: Forefront. Work through the area using explosive containers to break walls, reach the Subcity of Flowers: Interior campsite, defeat the Elite Golem in the next room — the final room that opens afterward contains the Keeper Golem alongside the Document: Diary of a Pilgrim.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 4: Pilgrim’s Zone (4 Golems)
Pilgrim’s Zone has 4 Keeper Golems. Two are inside the cave system that runs through the middle of this zone.

Keeper Golem 1 — West of Trail Area Campsite (Cliff Structure)
West of the Trail Area campsite. Climb up the structure with the red lights and platforms stuck in the cliff to reach a building with a strongbox. From that platform, extend a branch (R2) toward the stone structure in the middle of the area. Use it to reach the branch on the corner, which leads to the Keeper Golem.
Keeper Golem 2 — East of Belfry Entrance Campsite
East of the Belfry Entrance campsite in a short dead end area. From the campsite (northeast of Stone Chamber Interior, near a bridge), go east along the short path to the dead end. The Keeper Golem is there.
Keeper Golem 3 — Outside Belfry, South of Belfry Interior Campsite
South of the Belfry Interior campsite. From the campsite, follow the platform around and up the stairs to a console. Interact with the console to open a door to the south. Just outside that door, extend a branch (R2) to reach the spot on the stone structure where butterflies indicate the ledge. The Keeper Golem is on that ledge.
Keeper Golem 4 — Northeast of Cliff-Facing Tower (Ogouchi Lair Area)
Northeast of the Cliff-Facing Tower campsite. Go across the lower area and grapple up on the far side where there is a cave directly in front. The Keeper Golem is on the right inside that cave. Note: the Lore Painting is also at the back wall of this same cave.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 5: Matsukawa Zone

The Matsukawa Zone is one of the largest areas in the game and contains multiple Keeper Golems spread across its wide open terrain and cave systems. Use Koo’s detection actively here — the zone’s open layout means Golems can be in many directions from any given campsite. Check every side path and elevated area before pushing to the next objective. The Matsukawa Zone is also where the Chapter 5 boss is located, so explore the colony and surrounding paths before triggering the gate.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 6: Fuji Frontier Zone

The Fuji Frontier Zone is shorter than the zones before it but still contains Keeper Golems in its western pipe areas and cave approaches. Check around each campsite in this zone and explore the paths leading off the main route before crossing into the Drowned Region.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 7: Giant Tree Zone

The Giant Tree Zone has a Keeper Golem accessible right from the colony entrance. From the start of the area, go east in the colony toward the row of houses and jump on top to reach the walkway above them. Follow it back on top of the building where the Cleanse Walker is parked to find the Keeper Golem. Additional Golems are spread through the tree’s upper sections and can be reached using the gondola line.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zone 8: Crater Zone (4 Golems)
The Crater Zone has 4 confirmed Keeper Golems.

Keeper Golem 1 — Northeast of Crater Area Campsite
Northeast of the Crater Area campsite, near a stairway. This one is close to the main path through the central crater area.
Keeper Golem 2 — West of Crater Outskirt Campsite
At the Crater: Outskirt campsite, directly west of the campsite. The Crater: Outskirt campsite is northeast of the Crater Area campsite, on the east edge of the central crater. From there, go directly west.
Keeper Golem 3 — Hidden Cave Area
Southeast of the Hidden Cave campsite. Drop down to the lowest level of the valley — the Keeper Golem is at the east end of that lowest level.
Keeper Golem 4 — Lake Base Area
East of the Lake Base: Entrance campsite, at the top of the cliffs where the yellow streak is visible on the wall, above the metal walkways. Climb the cliffs using the grapple points until you reach the top where the yellow marking is — the Keeper Golem is up there.
Keeper Golem Locations — Zones 9–12: Inukami River, Starfall Tower, Mount Hiei, The Capital

The final four zones of the game each contain additional Keeper Golems continuing the count toward 30. In the Inukami River Zone, Keeper Golems are found in and around the colony and the Ruined Plaza area. In Starfall Tower, check the multi-level structure as you progress through Chapter 10. In Mount Hiei Zone and The Capital, explore all side paths and elevated areas before pushing toward the final boss. The game’s free roam remains active after the story ends, so any Golems missed can be found in post-game cleanup before starting New Game+.
New Game Plus Strategy For Finders Keepers
Since 30 Keeper Golems cannot all be found in one run, here is the most efficient approach across both playthroughs:
- Run 1: Find and speak to every Keeper Golem you can find — aim for as many as possible, especially in the early zones. Talk to each one using your best judgment on what to ask for your current needs.
- After Run 1 cleanup: Use post-game free roam to revisit any zones where you know you missed a Golem. Talk to any remaining ones before starting New Game+.
- Run 2 (New Game+): The Golems you already spoke to in Run 1 become available again. Return to the earliest zones first and speak to them again — each conversation counts as a new one toward the 30 total. You can reach 30 without finding a single new Golem if you found enough in Run 1.
- Finders Keepers pops the moment your 30th conversation completes, regardless of which zone you are in or whether you are in Run 1 or Run 2.
Tips For Finding Every Keeper Golem
- Trust Koo completely. Koo marks Keeper Golems on your map just like shrines. If Koo alerts while you are in a zone, stop and sweep the area before moving on.
- Dead ends always have something. Keeper Golems, shrines, Elite Golems, and strongboxes all tend to sit at the ends of side paths. Never skip a route that does not lead to an objective.
- Check underground areas. Several Keeper Golems in the early zones are in optional subcity or cave sections — particularly the Subcity of Flowers in the Great Wall Terraces and the cave systems in Pilgrim’s Zone.
- Go up. Many Keeper Golems are on elevated platforms that require grappling or using Emma’s hair to reach. When in doubt, look for the highest point in an area.
- Use the Rusted Golem introduction, but do not count it. The Rusted Golem in Ogouchi Buffer Zone teaches you the mechanic but does not count toward Finders Keepers. The 4 actual Keeper Golems in that zone are the ones that matter.
- Save your questions for what helps most. Asking about dangerous enemies gives Elite markers and Skill Amber. Asking about items gives direct loot. Once your questions run out, you can still talk to Golems and release them — those conversations still count toward 30.
Finders Keepers And The Rest Of The Achievement List
Finders Keepers is the one achievement in Beast Of Reincarnation that specifically requires two runs. Every other collectible can be finished in a single playthrough plus post-game cleanup — except for one final blade that only appears at the start of New Game+, and some late-skill unlocks also gated behind NG+. So when planning your Platinum, treat Keeper Golems and NG+ as a single task block.
For the full list of every achievement in the game and what each one requires, see our Beast Of Reincarnation achievements guide. And if you want to run shrine hunting alongside Keeper Golem hunting — which is the most efficient approach since both use Koo’s detection in the same areas — our all shrine locations guide covers every Dragon Vein Shrine zone by zone.
The chapter and zone structure that ties all of this together is explained in our Beast Of Reincarnation chapter and quest list — useful if you want to know exactly which zone to return to for any missed Golems before starting your second run.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Many Keeper Golems Are In Beast Of Reincarnation?
There are close to 30 Keeper Golems across the 12 zones in a single playthrough — but not quite enough to hit the 30 conversation requirement in one run. The Finders Keepers achievement requires speaking to Golems across two playthroughs, with previous conversations counting again in New Game+.
Do Keeper Golems Respawn?
They do not respawn within the same playthrough after you release them. However, all Keeper Golems become available again at the start of New Game+, and conversations with them count toward the 30 total for Finders Keepers.
What Happens When You Run Out Of Questions?
Once Emma has used all her available questions, speaking to a Keeper Golem simply lets her release it from its duty. No reward is given, but the conversation still counts toward the Finders Keepers achievement total. So keep finding and releasing Golems even after your questions are gone.
Does The Rusted Golem Count Toward Finders Keepers?
No. The Rusted Golem at the start of the Ogouchi Buffer Zone introduces the Keeper Golem mechanic as a tutorial NPC. It does not count toward the Finders Keepers achievement. Only the actual sitting Keeper Golems found throughout the zones count.
Can You Miss Keeper Golems Permanently?
No. All zones remain accessible after the story ends. You can return to every area in post-game free roam to find any Keeper Golems you missed. Nothing in Beast Of Reincarnation is permanently missable.
