All Shrine Locations In Beast Of Reincarnation — What You Need To Know
All shrine locations in Beast Of Reincarnation are Dragon Vein Shrines hidden across 12 zones. Finding them is one of the most important things you can do early. Each one gives you Life Fruit and counts toward your Stimpack upgrade milestones. Your healing starts at just three charges, which becomes a real problem on boss fights fast. Getting to six Stimpacks as early as possible changes how the game feels.
Koo helps with detection — when Emma gets close to a shrine, Koo marks it on the map. But many shrines are tucked behind enemies, up on elevated platforms, or inside optional underground areas that are easy to skip. This guide lists every shrine in order by zone so you never miss one.
Before you start hunting, it helps to know how the zones connect to each other. Our Beast Of Reincarnation chapter and quest list covers which zone sits in which chapter so you always know where you are in the game. You can play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC via Steam. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate players get it day one.
Stimpack Upgrades — How The Shrine System Works
Stimpacks are Emma’s only source of healing in combat. You start the game with a limit of three. Finding Dragon Vein Shrines increases that limit permanently. Here is the exact upgrade schedule:
- Shrine 1 — Stimpack limit immediately increases from 3 to 4
- Shrine 10 — Stimpack limit increases to 5
- Shrine 20 — Stimpack limit increases to 6 (maximum)
That means you only need 20 shrines to hit the healing cap — not all 40. But finding every single shrine also unlocks the Soul Returned achievement, so if you are going for 100% or Platinum, you need them all. Check our full Beast Of Reincarnation achievements list to see what other collectibles you need for completion.
Zone 1 — Ogouchi Buffer Zone
The Ogouchi Buffer Zone is the opening zone of the game. There are no Dragon Vein Shrines here. This zone focuses entirely on teaching you the core systems — combat, parrying, Koo’s Bloom Arts, and traversal. Move on to Zone 2 for your first shrine.
Zone 2 — Ancient Civilization Zone — Shrines 1, 2, 3

The Ancient Civilization Zone is where the shrine system begins. There are 3 shrines here, and the very first one you find immediately upgrades your Stimpack limit from 3 to 4.
Shrine 1
From the start of the zone, walk forward to the platforms where the first group of enemies is on the right. Go inside the building on the first level, then continue following the path upward to the very top. The shrine is directly on your path at the summit. You cannot miss it if you keep heading up.
Shrine 2
Southeast of the Raging River campsite. Activate both generators to open the shutter, then head into the large Reservoir room. The shrine is on the east wall of the Reservoir interior.
Shrine 3
East of the Ruins Slope Approach campsite. Jump up toward the south where a Golem and Malefact are fighting in the open area. Continue climbing up the platforms along the south wall to the dead end at the top. The shrine is at the end of that path, past a group of enemies.
Zone 3 — The Great Wall Terraces — Shrines 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
The Great Wall Terraces has 8 shrines. This is the biggest shrine zone in the early game. Explore every side path — most shrines here require going off the main route.

Shrine 4
From the start of the zone, go through the first bulkhead and stay to the right in the lower area. Follow it to the dead end near the large metal wall. The shrine is at that dead end.
Shrine 5
West of the Mountain Village Entrance campsite. Head past the village area all the way to the west edge of the map. The shrine is at the map’s western boundary.
Shrine 6
North of the Mountain Overlook campsite on the upper level. After finding the campsite (northwest of the Mountain Plaza: Forefront area near the Nue boss zone), go north along the upper platform. The shrine is up there.
Shrine 7
Northwest of the Great Forest: Entrance campsite. Walk toward the large statue in that direction — there will be a large group of Golem enemies in front of it. The shrine is right there in front of the statue.
Shrine 8
Directly west of the Flower Square: Forefront campsite. Once you find the campsite (north of the Great Forest Entrance area, at the east edge of the path), look immediately west. The shrine is right there beside it.
Shrine 9
Northwest of the Ruined Road Square campsite. Grapple up the platforms in that direction — the shrine is on one of the elevated platforms partway up. The Elite Golem is above it on the top level.
Shrine 10
Southeast of the Hidden Stone Hall campsite. This campsite is southwest of the Flower Field Tower, across the river at the west map edge. From the campsite, head southeast to the river. The shrine is sitting on a rock right in the middle of the river.
Shrine 11
Northwest of the Ruined Temple Entrance campsite. The Ruined Temple Entrance campsite is west of the Titan Buddha campsite — skip the elevator and go west to a metal building. From there go northwest, enter the building, and climb to the upper floor. The shrine is inside on the second level.
Zone 4 — Pilgrim’s Zone — Shrines 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18
Pilgrim’s Zone has 7 shrines. This zone is bigger than it first appears. The cave system in the middle of the zone hides multiple shrines inside it.

Shrine 12
Northeast of the Scorched Grassland campsite. Grapple up to the bridge and follow the grapple path along the east side of the bridge. The shrine is at the end of that grapple route.
Shrine 13
North of the Cave Entrance campsite, inside the cave. Follow the main path through the cave until you reach a side area in the northeast corner. The shrine is in that side area, before you blow up the wall.
Shrine 14
Further north from Shrine 13, still in the cave. After the previous shrine, continue along the main cave path. Look for a low opening in the wall — crouch through the hole to reach a side area. The shrine is in there.
Shrine 15
South of the Trail Area campsite. The Trail Area campsite is west of the Stone Chamber Entrance campsite. Head south from there along the east edge of the path — this path was blocked before you went through the cave, so it is newly accessible now. The shrine is along that east edge.
Shrine 16
Northwest of the Stone Chamber Entrance campsite. Enter the interior of the stone structure and grapple up to the top floor. Go west and follow the circular walkway around. The shrine is at the dead end on the west side of that circular path.
Shrine 17
South of the Belfry Interior campsite. From the campsite (on the second set of platforms after taking the western elevator up), follow the platform around and up the stairs. Interact with the console to open a door to the south. Step outside and the shrine is on the cliff just outside that door.
Shrine 18
East of the Nushi’s Lair Entrance campsite. Take the elevator beside the campsite up to the upper platform near the Wandering Merchant Golem. Grapple across the broken bridge to the east side of the zone. The shrine is inside the cliff caves over there.
Zone 5 — Matsukawa Zone — Shrines 19 Onward

The Matsukawa Zone is one of the largest open areas in the Mountainous Region and continues the shrine numbering from where Pilgrim’s Zone left off. Shrines here are spread across wide terrain, cliff paths, and cave entrances. Use Koo’s detection actively — the zone’s open layout means shrines can appear in many directions. Check around every campsite before resting and always head for elevated areas when you see a grapple point above you.
The Matsukawa Zone also contains the fireplace puzzle in the Belfry — if you need help with the fire-lighting order, our guide on how to light a fire in the proper order in Beast Of Reincarnation covers the exact sequence.
Zone 6 — Fuji Frontier Zone — Shrines 28 and 29
The Fuji Frontier Zone has 2 confirmed shrines. Both are accessible from the entry point of the zone.

Shrine 28
From the start of the Fuji Frontier Zone, head southwest toward the Cleanse Walker. The shrine is southwest of the Cleanse Walker near the zone’s entry area.
Shrine 29
From the start of the zone, follow the path west across the first set of pipes. Continue west across the second set of pipes to the next ground area. The shrine is near the destroyed houses in that area. Note: the Manual: Explosive Arrows is slightly north of here near a peaceful Golem, so grab both while you are in the area.
Zone 7 — Giant Tree Zone — Shrines 30–36
The Giant Tree Zone has 7 shrines and is visually unlike any zone before it. Shrine 30 is the one that pushes your Stimpack limit to 6 if you have been collecting consistently, so this is a big milestone zone.

Shrine 33
North of the Ruined Tower Area campsite. Enter the building from the south side and follow the path down to the lowest level. The shrine is on the lowest floor of that building.
Shrine 36
Southwest of the Giant Tree Roots (Middle Level) campsite, on the same platform as the campsite. Once you reach the Giant Tree’s middle level, this shrine is right there with the campsite — easy to grab immediately.
The other shrines in this zone (30, 31, 32, 34, 35) are found across the colony grounds and the outer levels of the Giant Tree as you ascend. Use the gondola line to reach the upper sections where the remaining shrines are tucked into the upper tree structure.
Zone 8 — Crater Zone — Shrine 37
The Crater Zone has 1 shrine.

Shrine 37
Southeast of the Lake Base: Outer Wall campsite. Grapple out to the tower that is raised up out of the water in the lake area. From there, grapple to the first outer platform on the east side. Enter that room — the shrine is inside. The Lake Base Interior campsite is also through the hallway in this same room, so rest and grab the shrine at the same time.
The Crater Zone is also where the best XP farming spot in the game is located — west of the Crater: Outskirt campsite. If you are levelling Emma and Koo toward Level 100, the Withered Beast enemy here is the one to farm. Our Ancient Civilization Zone guide has more on early zone strategy if you are still in the first half of the game.
Zone 9 — Inukami River Zone — Shrines 38+
The Inukami River Zone is the setting for Chapter 9 (Branching Out). After the dramatic Chapter 8 ending, Emma starts this zone without Koo. Once you reunite with Koo partway through the chapter, use him immediately to start detecting nearby shrines. The zone’s shrines continue the numbering sequence from the Crater Zone.
Zone 10 — Starfall Tower

Starfall Tower is the setting for Chapter 10 and the pursuit of Shidou’s Malefact. Shrines here are found by exploring the tower’s multi-level structure as you work through the chapter. Our Malefact of Fate quest guide covers the Chapter 10 objectives in detail, which will help you move through the tower efficiently while still finding the shrines along the way.
Zone 11 — Mount Hiei Zone
The Mount Hiei Zone covers the Capital Outskirt — the gateway to the endgame. Shrines here are in the outer areas before you cross into the Capital proper. If your Stimpack count is still not maxed by this point, this zone and Zone 12 together should get you there.
Zone 12 — The Capital

The Capital is the final zone, covering Chapters 12 and 13. Any remaining shrines are here. Before you trigger the final boss sequence, explore the Capital fully. After the credits roll, free roam remains available so you can clean up any shrines you missed without starting New Game+.
Tips For Finding Every Shrine Faster
- Go vertical first. Most shrines are above ground level. When you enter a new area, look up and find the grapple points. If a path leads upward, it almost certainly leads to a shrine, an Elite Golem, or a Keeper Golem.
- Check every dead end. Shrines consistently sit at the ends of detour paths. Any side route that does not lead to an objective marker is worth following.
- Use campsites as anchors. Every shrine description in this guide references a nearby campsite. Once you rest at a fire, sweep all directions around it before moving on.
- Koo’s detection is your most important tool. Do not rush through zones. Walk slowly near cliff edges and building interiors — if Koo reacts, stop and look around you.
- Do the cave areas in Pilgrim’s Zone. Shrines 13 and 14 are both inside the cave system. Players who push straight to the Taurus boss often miss both of these.
- Shrine 10 is your Stimpack upgrade checkpoint. If you reach the Fuji Frontier Zone and still have not found Shrine 10, backtrack through the Great Wall Terraces — you missed one of the 8 shrines there.
- Nothing is missable. The game stays open after the story ends. You can return to every zone and clean up before or during New Game+.
Soul Returned Achievement — What It Requires
The Soul Returned achievement unlocks when you find every Dragon Vein Shrine in the game. It is a Bronze trophy on PlayStation 5 and a standard achievement on Xbox and Steam. You do not need to find them all in one playthrough — any shrine found carries over to New Game+.
Soul Returned is part of the broader collectible achievement set. You also need to find all Lore Paintings (Behold the Truth), read all Documents (Know-It-All), discover all Campsites (Happy Camper), and collect all Seedlings (Green Thumb). Running shrine hunts alongside campsite hunts is the most efficient approach because both use Koo’s detection and both reward exploring the same off-path areas.
If you need help knowing which seeds to plant with your shrine Life Fruit and zone ingredients, our guide on which seed to plant in Beast Of Reincarnation covers the growing chamber system. No. All zones stay accessible after the story ends. You can collect every missed shrine during post-game free roam or across your New Game+ run. Nothing is permanently locked.
Where Is The First Shrine In Beast Of Reincarnation?

Yes. Any shrines found in your first run count toward the Soul Returned achievement. You do not need to find them all again in New Game+.
