TL;DR – Key Takeaways:
- Power Lines is the 5th main mission in Control Resonant’s Contain the Crisis questline. Start it by talking to Arish at the FBC Field Office in Central after completing Arish’s Briefing.
- You need to reroute four subway stations: Perimeter Station, Factory Station, East Park Station, and the Vanished Station.
- Every station puzzle involves collecting Calibration Units and placing them in the correct yellow squares around the Tuning Device.
- The Vanished Station is the trickiest — you must calibrate Platform A first, then use mold as a conductor to power Platform B.
- After calibrating both platforms, defeat the Mold enemies that spawn and speak to Dr. Florez to complete the mission. Reward: 1x Living Shard.
Power Lines sends Dylan into the subway network beneath Manhattan to fix something the FBC’s missing maintenance team left unfinished. The CFD needs a serious power boost, and it falls on you to reroute electricity through four underground stations to make it happen. The first three stations share the same puzzle mechanic, and then the quest goes underground in more ways than one — the fourth station has disappeared entirely, taking a group of survivors with it.
This walkthrough covers every objective in order, with step-by-step solutions for every Calibration Unit puzzle and the mold conductor trick most players miss in the Vanished Station.
How to Start Power Lines in Control Resonant
Power Lines unlocks after you complete the short quest Arish’s Briefing. Open your Quest Log, track Arish’s Briefing, and head to the FBC Field Office in Central. Talk to Arish and select “I can handle it.” The Power Lines quest activates immediately.
All three of the first subway stations are in the Central region, east of the Field Office. Go through the Level 1 Clearance door on the east side of the Field Office to reach that section of the map. Check out our guide on the Level 2 keycard if you need higher clearance access elsewhere in Central.

How the Calibration Unit Puzzle Works
Every subway station in Power Lines runs the same core puzzle. You need to find three Calibration Units scattered around the station, bring them to the Tuning Device in the center, and place each one in a yellow-taped square on the floor. The notes near the machine give hints on placement, but the rule is simple: one unit in the square closest to the machine, two units in the squares furthest away. Once all three are in the right spots, interact with the Tuning Device and the machine light turns green.
Some units are locked behind powered doors. You will need to grab electric charges from nearby generator boxes and carry them to locked door panels to get them open first. Move fast when carrying a charge — it dissipates quickly.
Reroute Perimeter Station
Perimeter Station is the closest to the Field Office, located down the road to the east. A group of Hiss will block the entrance when you arrive — defeat them, then head down the stairs into the station.
As you descend, you will spot an orange Power Core near a door. Transfer the electrical charge from that core to the one nearby to unlock a room with a Materials crate inside. Then work your way down to the platform area. Here is where to find all three Calibration Units:
- Unit 1: Go back up and grab the electric charge from upstairs. Carry it to the north end of the tracks and place it on the box there to open a shutter. The first Calibration Unit is inside that room, near the stairs.
- Unit 2: Head to the other end of the tracks in the dead end. Pick it up and carry it back up the stairs the way you entered. Transfer the charge from the door where you found Unit 1 back to the original spot to unlock the placement square for this one.
- Unit 3: Go up the stairs opposite your entry point. Unit 3 is right there — pick it up and place it in the yellow square immediately beside it.
With all three placed (one closest to the machine, two furthest away), interact with the Tuning Device. The light turns green and the counter changes to 1 — Perimeter Station is done.
Reroute Factory Station

Factory Station is to the north, behind the Patterned Factory. The entrance is along the road at the north corner of the factory — the same general area where you fight The Deserter boss. A mix of Hiss and Mold enemies will be fighting each other at the entrance. Take them all out, then head downstairs.
This station is more straightforward than Perimeter. Here is where the three units are:
- Unit 1: Grab it from the shop on the right as you head down. Carry it down to the subway platform and drop it at the yellow square directly at the bottom of the stairs.
- Unit 2: Go through the tunnels under the stairs you entered from. Find this unit there and place it in the first spot between the two benches on the platform.
- Unit 3: Check the train to the left on the platform. Pick it up and drop it in the remaining spot between the two benches.
All three units need to form a straight line in front of the Tuning Device — not scattered at different angles. Once lined up, activate the machine to reroute Factory Station.
Reroute East Park Station

East Park Station is to the southeast, past Perimeter Station. The entrance is at the intersection on the north end of the search area. Clear the Hiss group waiting outside and go down. This is the trickiest of the three Central stations.
On the first level, grab the first Calibration Unit from the right side and carry it down to the platform. Before placing anything, check the platform for three mold growths blocking the yellow squares. Hit them to destroy all three and reveal the placement spots.
Now interact with the Tuning Device in the center a few times. Eventually it will teleport you to the room upstairs — the one where you saw a calibration device behind a locked gate earlier. Hit the control panel on the left wall to break it open and grab that device. Bring it back downstairs to the platform.
The third Calibration Unit is already sitting next to the Tuning Device on the platform. Place all three in the yellow squares around the machine, then activate the Tuning Device. This reroutes all three Central stations and completes the first major section of Power Lines.
Head to the Surface / Help the Survivors
After rerouting East Park Station, try to exit via the door — it has become a solid wall. Head upstairs and interact with the speaker on the wall to contact Zoe. Dylan explains the situation. Go back down to the platform and you can now walk into the subway tunnel that previously had a spinning wall blocking it. Work through the Mold enemies waiting in the first room, then keep going deeper into the tunnel.
You will eventually reach the Vanished Station — the station that disappeared along with the missing maintenance crew and a group of survivors.
Reroute the Vanished Station – Platform B Setup
The Vanished Station has two platforms to calibrate: Platform A and Platform B. You cannot do them in any order — Platform A must be done first. But before you touch Platform A, you need to set up Platform B so the mold grows correctly.
Here is what to do first:
- Go up the stairs near where you entered and follow the upper path.
- On the upper level, take the electric charge from the box powering the lights and transfer it to the box next to the locked door. This opens the door to a room containing a Calibration Unit and a Health Upgrade crate — grab both.
- Before you move the Calibration Unit out, go to the opposite wall and break the mold growth there. This opens a path to the survivors talking on the radio and reveals more of the station layout. The power/light must be OFF for this mold to stay broken and not regrow.
- Carry the two Calibration Units from this upper area back to Platform B.
- Also carry the electric charge to the power box on Platform B, and make sure both boxes on Platform B have electricity.
- With both boxes powered, interact with the Tuning Device on Platform B. It will teleport you to Platform A.
Important: Do not destroy the mold blobs sitting directly on top of the broken power wires in the middle of Platform B. Those mold growths conduct electricity and are needed to power the Tuning Device later. Only destroy the ones on the edges.
Calibrate Platform A
Platform A is the first one you must properly calibrate. Follow these steps:
- Head south along the path and break the panel to open the gate leading back to where the survivors are being held.
- Take one of the electric charges and run it down to the power box on Platform A. Placing it here opens a gate upstairs — go through it to grab the third Calibration Unit.
- A fourth Calibration Unit will have spawned inside the survivors’ room in the center. Grab it.
- One of the yellow placement squares on Platform A is underneath a mold growth. To destroy that mold without it regrowing, carry the electricity back to the boxes in the middle room upstairs first. Then go back to Platform A and destroy the mold — it will not grow back because the power to that area is now removed.
- Place two Calibration Units in the yellow squares on Platform A, then interact with the Platform A Tuning Device to calibrate it.
Quick order recap: Power on the Platform A box to open the upstairs gate → collect Unit 3 → remove electricity from Platform A to kill the mold → place both units → calibrate.
Calibrate Platform B
Now head back to Platform B through the central area. The mold in the middle should still be alive and sitting on top of the power wire gaps — that is exactly what you need. Here is the final sequence:
- Make sure the power at Platform B is currently off. If you accidentally removed it earlier, carry the charge from the upstairs boxes back to the Platform B boxes to regrow the mold in the middle.
- With power off at Platform B, destroy the mold growths on the two outer edge platforms. Do not touch the two mold growths sitting on the wires in the middle — those are your conductors.
- Place both Calibration Units in the two cleared spots on the outer edges of Platform B.
- Turn the Platform B machine back on. The mold on the wires conducts the electricity across the gap and powers the Tuning Device.
- Interact with the machine to calibrate Platform B.
Quick order recap: Power on to grow middle mold → remove power to destroy side mold → place 2 units on sides → interact with machine.
Talk to Dr. Florez
Calibrating Platform B triggers a wave of Mold enemies throughout the area — including a Mold mini-boss called Sandra. Defeat every enemy, then go back up to the central area and speak to Dr. Florez. This conversation finishes the Power Lines quest.

Tips for Power Lines in Control Resonant
- Move fast with electric charges. They dissipate over time. Sprint directly to where you need to deposit the charge and do not take detours.
- Read the notes near each Tuning Device. They hint at the correct placement pattern, which is always one unit closest to the machine and two units in the farthest squares.
- Do not destroy the middle mold on Platform B. This is the most common mistake in the Vanished Station. Those growths are your power conductors.
- Calibrate Platform A first. Platform B cannot be completed until Platform A is done. Do not try to skip the order.
- If you need help with the game’s assist options during tougher combat sections, check our guide to Assist Mode settings.
