Crimson Desert: How to Increase Camp Armor and Weapons

TL;DR

  • Camp Armor and Weapons are a provision type needed to run Anvil dispatch missions
  • The fastest method is the Warspike Spearmaker dispatch in Hernand — it generates 1,000+ supplies every 16 hours
  • You need 4 Comrades assigned, with at least 1 having the Smith Skill
  • You can also donate weapons, armor, wool, hide, and Abyss Gears to Carl at Howling Hill
  • Completing the Taro Research task at Gorthak Ironworks gives a permanent supply multiplier
  • Church Donations also apply a hidden buff that boosts total supplies over time

Camp Armor and Weapons are one of the five provision types you need to keep stocked at your Howling Hill base in Crimson Desert. As you push into higher tier dispatch missions — especially the ones that reward Abyss Fragments — the game starts demanding massive amounts. We are talking 11,000 or more in some cases.

If you are trying to figure out how to build that stockpile without losing your mind grinding donations, this guide covers every method, fastest to slowest.

What Are Camp Armor and Weapons?

Camp Armor and Weapons are a camp provision category that represent your base’s military supplies. They appear in the resource overlay at the top right of your screen alongside the other five categories — Comrades, Minerals, Timber, Food, and Camp Funds.

You spend Camp Armor and Weapons to send your Comrades on dispatch missions marked with an Anvil icon. These missions tend to reward the best long-term resources, including Abyss Fragments and other progression materials.

The higher your total supplies, the more missions you can run at once. Running out of this resource will stall your entire dispatch operation, so it is worth setting up a passive system early rather than scrambling to catch up later.

Method 1: Warspike Spearmaker Dispatch Mission (Fastest)

This is the best method by a wide margin. It is passive, repeatable, and generates over 1,000 Camp Armor and Weapon provisions every 16 hours.

Here is how to set it up.

Step 1: Unlock the Warspike Spearmaker Mission

Go to Ross at the Howling Hill camp. Open the Mission Dispatch menu and look for missions marked with an Anvil icon. These are the missions that specifically reward Camp Armor and Weapons.

The first Anvil mission you will find is the Warspike Spearmaker, located in Hernand. If it does not appear yet, you have not met the prerequisites. You need to either liberate the Hernand region or complete the House Alfonso Faction Quests to unlock this dispatch node.

Once those are done, the mission will show up.

Step 2: Assign the Right Comrades

Assign four Comrades to the Warspike Spearmaker mission. The key requirement is that at least one of those Comrades must have the Smith Skill. The Smith Skill directly boosts yields for armament-type missions, so without it your output will be noticeably lower.

For a refresher on how to get and manage your Comrades, visit our how to get Comrades guide and our how to level up Comrades guide.

Step 3: Collect and Redeploy Every 16 Hours

Once the mission completes, collect your payout and send the Comrades straight back out. That is the entire loop. Log in, collect, redeploy, done.

As you progress into mid-game and unlock more regions, additional Anvil dispatch locations open up. Gorthak Ironworks in Delesyia becomes available after Chapter 10 and produces thousands of armaments per run. Stack multiple Anvil missions running simultaneously once you have enough Comrades.

Method 2: Donating to Carl at Howling Hill (Manual)

The second method is manual and slower, but useful when you need to top off your supplies between dispatches or you are still early in the game.

Go to Carl, the Provisions Keeper, at the Howling Hill camp. Interact with him and select Manage Provisions, then choose Camp Provisions. From here, select any items in your inventory that have a donation icon on them and confirm.

Items that count toward Camp Armor and Weapons include weapons, armor, wool, hide, and Abyss Gears. Any weapon or piece of armor you loot from enemies — even rusted blades and broken bows from weak enemies — counts toward this category. Do not sell that junk gear for a few copper when it can go toward your military supplies instead.

One important thing to know: once you donate an item to Carl, it cannot be recovered. Do not donate anything you might want to use or sell later. Only give Carl gear you genuinely do not need.

The best way to make this method less painful is to bring a pet along while you fight. Pets automatically loot defeated enemies, which means weapons and armor pile up in your inventory without you having to manually pick up everything. When your bags are full, fast travel back to Carl and dump the whole load at once. It is much more efficient than making individual trips.

Method 3: Taro Research at Gorthak Ironworks (Permanent Buff)

This one is easy to miss but very much worth doing. Head to Gorthak Ironworks and complete the Taro Research task. Finishing this project applies a permanent multiplier to your camp’s armor and weapon supplies. It does not just give you a one-time boost — it increases how much you pull in on an ongoing basis.

Think of it as a base upgrade that makes every other method more efficient. Combine it with the Warspike Spearmaker dispatch and your passive income grows significantly.

Make sure you are keeping up with all your camp research options. Our how to research guide explains all available research projects and how to prioritize them.

Method 4: Church Donations (Hidden Passive Buff)

This one surprises most players. Making regular donations at the Church applies a hidden buff that increases the total supplies you receive from dispatch missions. It is not a huge boost on its own, but when combined with the Warspike Spearmaker dispatch and the Taro Research multiplier, every bit adds up.

It might feel like a waste of silver to donate to a church when you could be spending it elsewhere, but the passive return on your dispatch missions makes it worth doing consistently.

Tips to Keep Your Camp Armor and Weapons Stocked

Never leave Comrades sitting idle. An idle Greymane earns nothing. Always have something assigned, even if it is not an Anvil mission. Other missions generate resources that free up your silver to donate to Carl in a different way.

Keep Anvil dispatch missions running at all times once unlocked. They are the foundation of your armament income and require almost no effort once set up.

Use the camp upgrade guide to expand Howling Hill as soon as possible. Higher camp levels unlock more dispatch slots, which means more Anvil missions running simultaneously, which means more Camp Armor and Weapons coming in passively.

If you are running the Howling Hill expansion missions and need to understand the full dispatch flow, our how to dispatch Howling Hill expansion mission guide walks through all the steps.

Also keep in mind that the For a Better Tomorrow donation quests at the Greymanes faction tab require you to manually donate items — dispatch missions do not count toward those quests. If you are working through that questline, you need to be physically donating items to Carl yourself. For a fast way to complete those, see our camp donation quests guide.

Quick Recap

The fastest way to increase Camp Armor and Weapons in Crimson Desert is to unlock and run the Warspike Spearmaker dispatch mission in Hernand with four Comrades and at least one Smith Skill Comrade assigned. It generates over 1,000 supplies every 16 hours automatically.

For a manual top-up, donate weapons and armor to Carl at Howling Hill using the Manage Provisions menu. Bring a pet to auto-loot enemies and make bulk donation runs more efficient. Complete the Taro Research at Gorthak Ironworks for a permanent supply multiplier, and make Church Donations regularly to stack a hidden passive buff on top.

Set the system up early and let it run in the background while you focus on exploring the world. For more on building out your shield and weapon options to donate or equip, check out our Lucon Large Shield guide and our best unique weapons and armor guide.
