The Destiny 2 Deliverance god roll is worth chasing if you want a Kinetic-slot fusion rifle that can freeze enemies and feed grenade energy at the same time. This guide covers the best PvE and PvP perk combos, the full perk pool, and exactly which encounters to farm.
What Is Deliverance in Destiny 2
Deliverance is a Legendary Stasis Fusion Rifle with a Precision Frame, and it holds the distinction of being the first Kinetic-slot fusion rifle in Destiny 2. It drops from the Vow of the Disciple raid in Savathun’s Throne World and carries the Souldrinker Origin Trait, restoring health based on your hits before reloading. It’s fully craftable, and it’s one of only two Fusion Rifles in the game that can roll Demolitionist, which makes it a strong pick for grenade-focused builds like Osmiomancy Gloves Warlocks.

Destiny 2 Deliverance God Roll for PvE
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake (Fluted Barrel is also solid)
- Battery: Accelerated Coils (Enhanced Battery also works)
- Perk 1: Demolitionist
- Perk 2: Chill Clip
- Masterwork: Charge Time
- Mod: Backup Mag
Demolitionist grants a chunk of grenade energy on kill, which is excellent for any build leaning on grenade uptime. Chill Clip adds the ability to freeze targets, including Overload and Unstoppable Champions, giving Deliverance real utility beyond just damage. Since Precision Frame fusions have a longer charge time than other archetypes, a Charge Time masterwork and a barrel that helps handling go a long way toward making the weapon feel less clunky in extended fights.
Destiny 2 Deliverance God Roll for PvP
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake or Extended Barrel
- Battery: Projection Fuse
- Perk 1: Heating Up (Perpetual Motion is also good)
- Perk 2: Successful Warm-Up
- Masterwork: Range
Fusion Rifles can dominate the Crucible with the right setup, and Deliverance’s archetype makes it more forgiving than most once you adjust to the charge time. Arrowhead Brake gives a perfect recoil direction along with bonus handling, while Extended Barrel pushes range further if you’d rather fight at a distance. Successful Warm-Up shortens that charge time the more you use the weapon, and Heating Up helps you chain kills together by refunding ability energy on multikills.
Deliverance Full Perk Pool
- Perk Column 1: Demolitionist, Cornered, Compulsive Reloader, Heating Up, Perpetual Motion, Steady Hands, Sleight of Hand
- Perk Column 2: Surrounded, Tap the Trigger, Harmony, Adrenaline Junkie, Chill Clip, Bait and Switch, Successful Warm-Up
- Origin Trait: Souldrinker (shared across all Vow of the Disciple weapons)
How to Get Deliverance in Destiny 2
Deliverance drops from the Acquisition encounter (first fight) and The Upended encounter (third fight). The Upended tends to be the faster of the two to farm repeatedly, but Acquisition works fine too if your group prefers it. You can also buy a guaranteed red border copy from the loot kiosk after defeating Rhulk for 20 Spoils of Conquest each week if you’ve unlocked it before.

Should You Craft Deliverance
Yes, especially if you’re building around Demolitionist and Chill Clip together, since that combo isn’t easy to land on a random drop. Crafting also lets you push the weapon through the Gear Tier system for Enhanced traits once you’ve leveled it up. Check our guide to upgrading crafted weapons to Tier 5 if you need the full process.
