- There are three bosses in Fortnite Runners Chapter 7 Season 3: Skeletor, Voidblade, and Wolfe.

How Boss Spawning Works in Fortnite Runners
This is the most important thing to know before you start hunting: bosses do not spawn at the start of a match. They rift into the map only after the first storm circle finishes shrinking. Landing at a boss zone early and waiting is a waste of time — you will sit in an empty area while other players loot around you.
Once the first circle closes, listen for the boss spawn audio cue. A red skull icon will appear on your mini-map when you come within 200 metres of a boss. The skull does not show on the main map at all — only the mini-map. Keep your mini-map visible and rotate actively rather than waiting in one spot.
All three bosses share the same pool of spawn zones. That means you might land expecting Skeletor based on last match’s position and find Wolfe instead. The spawn is re-randomised every match. Skeletor and Wolfe in particular are known to swap locations frequently between games.

The confirmed spawn zones where any of the three bosses can appear are:
- Calamari Canyon and surrounding area — the most consistent zone for boss spawns, particularly Skeletor and Wolfe
- Frosted Flats — second most common area, close to the Zero Point at the center of the map
- Heatwave Harbor — southwest corner, confirmed spawn zone
- Collider Corridor — confirmed but less common than the canyon and flats
- Various rotating points across the Shattered Coast — Epic has built in additional spawn randomisation
The fastest way to find a boss is to grab a vehicle after landing, not to run between zones on foot. Land at Battlewoods near the centre of the map, pick up a car or truck as early as possible, then sweep Calamari Canyon and Frosted Flats in sequence. Boss 1: Skeletor — Location, Drops, and How to Beat
Skeletor Boss Overview
Skeletor is the collab boss from Masters of the Universe. He is one of the most recognisable bosses in Chapter 7 Season 3 and drops the most range-focused Mythic weapon of the three. He fights at mid-to-long range using his Extending Focus Shotgun and periodically throws ranged projectiles.
He has one critical mechanic: Skeletor can restore his own shields by performing an emote with his staff. He cannot heal his health bar — only his shields. The moment you see him emote, unload everything you have. Letting him cycle through a full shield heal resets too much of the fight.
How to Beat Skeletor
- Stay at mid-range. His shotgun is dangerous up close and his projectile attack has limited range.
- Use a high-magazine Assault Rifle or an SMG to maintain sustained pressure through his shield regeneration cycles.
- His ranged projectile attack is slow and telegraphed. Sidestep it — do not panic.
- The moment he starts his emote heal, push hard to interrupt as much shield recovery as possible.
- Use cover between shots — trees, rocks, and buildings work well in the Calamari Canyon terrain where he often spawns.
Skeletor Mythic Drop
Mythic Reacher Extending Shotgun — Skeletor’s signature weapon. It functions like a standard combat shotgun but with a significant damage boost and extended effective range. Most shotguns fall off sharply at mid-distance; the Reacher keeps its damage higher for longer. Magazine size is smaller than average before a reload, so track your shots carefully.
On bad RNG, Skeletor drops a Legendary Extending Focus Shotgun instead of the Mythic. Still a strong pickup — just not at Mythic power level.
He also drops a Chug Jug. Take it immediately. The skull icon and loot pile will draw anyone in the area toward your position within seconds.
Boss 2: Voidblade — Location, Drops, and How to Beat
Voidblade Boss Overview
Voidblade is an agile, verticality-focused boss. She fights primarily with a burst rifle but her defining mechanic is aerial: she leaps high into the air and briefly pulls out a sword when she lands, dealing heavy damage to anyone underneath her. She is the most dangerous boss if you let her control the height above you.
She is not the toughest boss to take down once you understand her pattern. Her burst rifle is threatening at range but she is susceptible to high-DPS weapons at close distance. End the fight before she gets multiple jump cycles off.
How to Beat Voidblade
- Get close. Her burst rifle loses its edge inside shotgun range. SMGs and shotguns outperform her weapon at those distances.
- Watch the sky. When she jumps, track her position and move laterally. Her sword landing has a small radius — a quick sidestep right as she comes down avoids it cleanly.
- Never stand still when she is airborne. Being caught underneath the landing strike is the most common way players lose this fight.
- Prioritise burst damage to end the fight fast. Extended fights give her more jump cycles and more opportunities to land the sword strike.
Voidblade Mythic Drop
Mythic Voidblade’s Burst Rifle — a burst assault rifle with near-zero vertical recoil and ADS accuracy that makes it punishing at mid-range. If you play a controlled, mid-range style, this is one of the strongest weapons in the current Fortnite Runners meta. On bad RNG, she drops a standard Legendary Surgical Burst Rifle instead.
She also drops a Chug Jug on defeat. Same rule applies — grab it fast and relocate before nearby players converge on the skull icon.
Boss 3: Wolfe — Location, Drops, and How to Beat
Wolfe Boss Overview
Wolfe is the most mobile and unpredictable boss in Chapter 7 Season 3. He moves faster than both Skeletor and Voidblade, and he can teleport — often appearing directly behind you to land a surprise shotgun shot. He also has a howl ability that reveals your position to any nearby players in a small radius.
That howl mechanic matters. When Wolfe howls mid-fight, players in the surrounding area get a notification of where you are. It is not a wide radius, but it does mean third-party squads are more likely to push you during this specific fight compared to the other two bosses. Finish Wolfe quickly.
How to Beat Wolfe
- Never stop moving. Sprint, slide, and use Seven Sliders to stay unpredictable. He locks on fast when you stand still.
- Use a shotgun and an SMG together. His teleport means he will appear at close range without warning — you need a close-range answer ready at all times.
- Use cover between shots so you are not caught flat-footed when he reappears at a new angle after teleporting.
- Do not linger after the fight. His howl alerts nearby players to your location. The moment he is down, take the drops and move.
Wolfe Mythic Drop
Mythic Wolfe’s Maven Auto Shotgun — an automatic shotgun with a fast fire rate and a forgiving pellet spread that maintains solid effectiveness even when only a few pellets connect. It is considered the weakest of the three boss Mythics in the current meta, but it is still a strong close-range weapon and a useful early-match pickup if you are short on a shotgun. On bad RNG, Wolfe drops a Legendary Maven Auto Shotgun instead.
He also drops a Chug Jug. As with the other bosses, clear the area immediately after looting.

Non-Boss Mythic Weapons in Fortnite Runners C7S3
Three additional Mythic weapons exist in Chapter 7 Season 3 that do not come from defeating the three main bosses. Each requires a specific activity.
Mythic 9mm Baba Yaga Pistol — Rescue John Wick’s Dog
John Wick’s Mythic pistol. To get it, find John Wick’s dog somewhere on the Shattered Coast map, eliminate the guards protecting the cage, and open it. There is a chance the Mythic 9mm Baba Yaga Pistol drops when the cage is opened. Two possible locations exist for the dog on the map — the spawn is not fixed to a single spot. The drop is not guaranteed on every cage open.
Mythic Striker Pump Shotgun — Duck Race Minigame
Complete the Duck Race Minigame on the bridge north of Heatwave Harbor. Interact with the ducks and follow them through the course. Completing it rewards the Mythic Striker Pump Shotgun. This is one of the most reliable Mythic unlocks in the season because the minigame is consistent and does not involve fighting a boss.
Mythic Limitless Seven Sliders — Electric Room at Sinister Strip
The Mythic version of the season’s signature movement item is found inside a room called the Electric Room in the Sinister Strip POI, south of the center of the map. Sinister Strip is controlled by the Dark Voyager and has hostile guards patrolling the area. Get a weapon from floor loot before entering. The building has a large Dark Voyager rock statue out front — use it as a landmark.
The Limitless Seven Sliders give you all the same movement benefits as the standard version — faster sliding, slowed time when aiming mid-slide, jet-powered launch at the end — but at Mythic power level.
Tips for Hunting Bosses Without Getting Eliminated
Land at Battlewoods and Grab a Car First
The most efficient boss-hunting route starts at Battlewoods near the map center. Loot fast, pick up a basic loadout, then find a vehicle. Driving between Calamari Canyon and Frosted Flats covers the two highest-probability boss zones in under two minutes. On foot, the same route takes most of the second circle. Do not waste time walking.
Do Not Push a Boss While Another Squad Is Already Fighting It
The skull icon on the mini-map is visible to every player in range, not just you. If you see it appear and someone else is already in the fight, let them do the damage and third-party the aftermath. Rolling into an active boss fight with low health is a fast way to lose the match and the Mythic.
Always Use a Portable Extractor During the Same Run
If you are also farming Sprites in the same match, do your Sprite extraction before or after the boss fight — not during. Extraction animations leave you stationary and exposed. Running both objectives at once is one of the most common ways players lose both the Sprite and the boss loot in the same match. Watch Your Back After the Kill
Every boss drops a skull icon visible on mini-maps nearby when they fall. The loot pile also glows. Both things pull squads toward your position. Grab the Mythic, grab the Chug Jug, and move to cover immediately. Do not stop to admire the drop.
How Boss Fights Affect Your Sprite Strategy
Boss fights and Sprite farming both pull you toward the same mid-map zones, particularly Calamari Canyon and Frosted Flats. If you are running a boss-hunting strategy, you will naturally pass near Epic Sprite Vaults on your rotation. That overlap is worth planning around.
Hit an Epic Sprite Vault for its three guaranteed Sprite Chests, then sweep the boss spawn zones on the same rotation.
