The Fortnite Runners Dark Cube-Rella is Chapter 7 Season 3’s free Victory Umbrella glider. Every season Epic gives one away to anyone who earns a Victory Royale, and this season’s version is themed around the Dark Voyager and Chaos Cube lore running through Chapter 7. Here is exactly how to claim it and what you get.
What Is the Dark Cube-Rella in Fortnite Runners
The Dark Cube-Rella is the Chapter 7 Season 3 Victory Umbrella — a free glider awarded for your first win of the season. It is not sold in the Item Shop, not part of the Battle Pass, and cannot be purchased with V-Bucks. The only way to get it is to win.
The design fits the Chapter 7 Season 3 theme. The canopy is styled after the Dark Voyager’s black metallic armour with spiky edges, and a glowing Chaos Cube sits on top. It is one of the better-looking Victory Umbrellas in recent seasons — dark, angular, and clean.
Once earned, it goes into your Locker permanently. You can use it in any game mode across any future season.

How to Get the Dark Cube-Rella — Step by Step
Step 1 — Win Any Standard Battle Royale or Zero Build Match
Get a Victory Royale in any standard Battle Royale or Zero Build match during Chapter 7 Season 3. The season runs until August 19, 2026, so you have time.
Mode and squad size do not matter. Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads all count. Build mode and Zero Build both count. You just need to be the last team standing at least once.
No minimum eliminations are required. You can survive entirely through positioning and storm play without a single kill and still claim the glider on the final Victory Royale screen.
Step 2 — Return to the Lobby After Winning
This is the step most players miss. After the Victory Royale screen appears, go back to the lobby — do not hit Ready Up.
The Dark Cube-Rella claim screen only appears when you return to the lobby after your win. If you tap Ready Up and jump straight into another match, you skip past the claim popup. The glider will still be added to your account either way, but you will not see the claim animation. To be safe, always return to lobby after a first win so the reward registers cleanly.
Step 3 — Equip It From Your Locker
Once claimed, the Dark Cube-Rella appears in your Locker under Gliders. Equip it from there and it will deploy instead of your default glider on every drop.

Dark Cube-Rella vs Chaotic Cube-Rella — What Is the Difference
There are two Victory Umbrella variants this season.
- Dark Cube-Rella — earned by winning any standard unranked Battle Royale or Zero Build match. Metal parasol styled like Dark Voyager’s armour with black spiky edges and a glowing Chaos Cube on top.
- Chaotic Cube-Rella — earned by winning a Ranked Battle Royale or Ranked Zero Build match. More corrupted design with a bright yellow top, grey edges, and black spikes. The Chaos Cube influence is stronger on this version.
Both are free. The Chaotic Cube-Rella requires a ranked win which is a harder ask, but both gliders are available to any player without spending V-Bucks.
If you only want one, the Dark Cube-Rella from a standard match is the easier path. If you play ranked regularly, you may end up with both naturally.
Tips to Get Your First Win in Fortnite Runners
The win requirement is straightforward but some players find Victory Royales difficult to land. Here are practical approaches for Chapter 7 Season 3 specifically.
Play Zero Build Squads
Zero Build removes building entirely, which flattens the skill gap between new and experienced players. Squads give you three teammates to share the load. Your team only needs one player to land the final elimination — you get the win regardless of whether you personally got the last kill.
This is the lowest-friction route to the Dark Cube-Rella for anyone who does not win consistently in Solo BR.
Use Sprites to Your Advantage
Sprites give passive abilities that can swing close fights. The Demon Sprite siphons health and shields on eliminations, which keeps you healthy through consecutive fights late in the game. The Zero Point Sprite spawns a Shield Bubble Jr. when you use a healing item, giving you a defensive window during critical moments.
Summon a Sprite before the match in the pre-match lobby so it is active from your first drop. A strong Sprite in the final circle makes a real difference. For which Sprites are worth using this season, see our best Sprites in Fortnite Runners guide.
Land at Lower-Contested POIs Early in the Season
In the first weeks of a new season, everyone lands at the new or popular POIs. Landing somewhere quieter — like Sunken Shores or the edges of the map — lets you loot cleanly and gear up before engaging. By mid-game, the lobby size drops enough that reaching the final circle becomes more about positioning than raw mechanics.
Grab the Limitless Seven Sliders From Sinister Strip
The Limitless Seven Sliders is a Mythic mobility item that lets you slide continuously with no distance limit. Mobility in late-game circles is one of the strongest survival tools in Runners. If you can get into Sinister Strip early and complete the prison cell puzzle, you have a real shot at this item. It changes how you rotate, escape third parties, and reposition under pressure.
For the full walkthrough on getting it, see our Sinister Strip locked prison cell guide.
Hire a Specialist NPC
Hiring Elite Daigo at Sunken Shores gives you a Medic Specialist who throws Chug Splashes during fights. Having a hired NPC as a second gun and a healing source in the final circle gives you meaningful advantages over solo players with no support. The hire costs 350 Gold and pays off well in late game. See our Fortnite Runners NPC locations guide for all four Specialists and where to find them.
Pick Up Free Loot From the Duck Race
If your rotation takes you through Heatwave Harbor, trigger the duck race minigame at the start of the match. It takes under two minutes and drops Epic and Legendary weapons along the way with a chance at the Mythic Striker Pump Shotgun at the finish line. Walking into the late game with Legendary gear dramatically improves your win chances without requiring you to fight for loot.
Does the Dark Cube-Rella Expire
No. Once it is in your Locker it stays there permanently. You do not need to earn it again in future seasons, and it does not get vaulted or removed when Chapter 7 Season 3 ends.
The same applies to every Victory Umbrella — they are permanent Locker additions once claimed. The only condition is earning the win before the season ends on August 19, 2026.
Is the Dark Cube-Rella Worth Grinding For
Yes, if you are playing Runners anyway. It is one of the better-looking Victory Umbrellas in recent memory — the Dark Voyager aesthetic with the Chaos Cube on top fits the Chapter 7 lore and looks good in the glider deploy animation.
It does not require a Battle Pass, costs no V-Bucks, and you only need one win across the entire season. If you are putting in matches for Sprite Safari quests, Battle Pass XP, or working through the boss locations for Mythic weapons, you will inevitably put yourself in a position to win. The glider should come naturally as long as you keep playing.
