- Sprite Safari is the seasonal Sprite quest chain in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Each quest rewards 10,000 XP.
- There are five Sprite Safari quests available at launch. New quests drop every Saturday at 9 AM ET throughout the season.
- Completing all five launch quests earns 50,000 XP total toward your Battle Pass.
- The five quests are: extract 10 Sprites, enter 5 matches with a Sprite equipped, earn 2,500 Sprite XP, purchase something from a Sprite Station, and activate an Extraction Site.
- Most of these complete passively alongside normal play if you keep a Sprite equipped at all times.
- Extraction Sites become occupied after one use per match. You need a different site for each extraction — not the same one twice.
- Unlike weekly quests, Sprite Safari quests do not expire at the end of a week. They stay open until the season ends.
Fortnite Runners Sprite Safari quests are the seasonal quest chain built around the Sprite extraction system in Chapter 7 Season 3. They run separately from the weekly Kickstart quests and teach you the core Sprite mechanics while paying out 10,000 XP per task. Here is every quest, how to complete each one efficiently, and when new quests arrive.
What Are Sprite Safari Quests in Fortnite Runners
Sprite Safari is the dedicated Sprite questline for Chapter 7 Season 3. Unlike weekly quests that reset on a Thursday schedule, Sprite Safari quests are seasonal — they stay available from when they drop until the season ends on August 19, 2026. There is no time pressure to finish them in a specific week.
New Sprite Safari quests are added every Saturday at 9 AM ET throughout the season. The first five launched with the season on June 6. Check back each Saturday for the next batch.
Each completed quest rewards 10,000 XP. Finishing all five available launch quests pays out 50,000 XP total — a solid chunk of Battle Pass progress that stacks quickly if you play the Sprite system naturally.

All Fortnite Sprite Safari Quests — Full List and How to Complete Them
Quest 1 — Extract 10 Sprites to Expand Your Portfolio
Reward: 10,000 XP
Extract 10 Sprites across any number of matches. You do not need to do all 10 in one game — progress saves between matches and stacks toward the total.
To extract a Sprite, carry it to an Extraction Site on the map. Extraction Sites appear as large platforms with white map icons and vertical light beams. Interact with the terminal, wait roughly 30 seconds for the Extraction Crate to arrive, and deposit your Sprite when the crate lands.
One important mechanic to know: Extraction Sites become occupied after use in that match. You cannot reuse the same site twice in a single game. You need to find a different vacant site for each extraction. Across multiple matches, sites reset, so there is no permanent scarcity.
Extracting Sprites you already own counts toward this quest. Each time you extract any Sprite — new or duplicate — adds to your total. Use a Portable Extractor if you want to skip the Extraction Site entirely. Portable Extractors let you extract from anywhere on the map in about 5 seconds and can be purchased at Sprite Stations using Sprite Dust. See our Fortnite Sprite Dust guide for a full breakdown of what Sprite Stations offer.
Quest 2 — Enter 5 Matches With a Sprite Equipped
Reward: 10,000 XP
Enter any five matches with a Sprite already summoned and equipped before dropping from the Battle Bus. The Sprite must be on your back when you load into the match — picking one up after landing does not count.
To meet this condition, summon a Sprite in the pre-match lobby using Sprite Dust before each game. Even summoning the cheapest Rare Sprite (100 Sprite Dust) satisfies this quest. Once you have extracted at least one Sprite, you can resummon it before every subsequent match.
This quest resolves across five different matches. It does not require you to survive, extract, or do anything specific in those games beyond entering with a Sprite active. Five casual matches with any Sprite summoned clears it entirely.
For Sprite Dust summon costs by rarity and a walkthrough of the summoning process, see our Sprite Dust guide.
Quest 3 — Earn 2,500 Sprite XP by Eliminating Opponents, Opening Chests, and Extracting Sprites
Reward: 10,000 XP
Earn a cumulative 2,500 Mastery Points across any number of matches. The three tracked sources are eliminations (200 MP each), opening containers such as chests and ammo boxes (75 MP each), and extracting Sprites (200 MP each).
This quest progresses passively as long as you have a Sprite equipped. Only the Sprite on your back earns Mastery Points — Sprites sitting in your regular inventory slots earn nothing. Equip your Sprite from the moment you drop and let normal play fill the counter.
2,500 MP is not a large target. At 75 MP per chest, opening 34 containers gets you there with no combat required. A single match with a few fights and normal looting can clear half this quest in one run. For more on the Mastery Point system and how to hit level 5 efficiently, see our Fortnite Sprite leveling guide.
Quest 4 — Purchase Something From a Sprite Station With Sprite Dust
Reward: 10,000 XP
Visit any Sprite Station during a match and spend Sprite Dust on any available purchase. One transaction in one match completes this quest entirely.
Sprite Stations are terminals located near Extraction Sites across the Runners map. They appear as interactive computer terminals. The cheapest available purchase — typically a weapon upgrade or a single Portable Extractor — satisfies the quest regardless of what you buy or how much Dust you spend.
If you are working on Quest 1 (10 extractions) at the same time, hit a Sprite Station at any Extraction Site you visit during that run. One stop, two quests progressed.
You need Sprite Dust to make a purchase. If your Sprite Dust balance is low, the fastest way to build it is by extracting Sprites at Extraction Sites — including duplicates of Sprites you already own. Every extraction pays out Dust regardless of whether the Sprite is new to your collection.
Quest 5 — Activate an Extraction Site
Reward: 10,000 XP
Be the first player to activate a specific Extraction Site in a match. Walk up to a vacant Extraction Site terminal with a Sprite in your inventory and interact with it to trigger the extraction process. Only the player who activates it first gets credit — if another player has already powered the site, it will not count for your quest.
Extraction Sites are marked on the map from the start of each match with white platform icons. To beat other players to the site, land directly on or near it from the Battle Bus rather than rotating from another POI. The moment the terminal is activated, the site glows bright and sounds an alarm — this signals to everyone nearby that an extraction is in progress, so be ready for incoming players.
This quest completes in a single match. One successful first-activation anywhere on the map clears it. You do not need to survive the full timer or successfully extract — activating the site is the trigger.
How to Complete All Sprite Safari Quests Fast
All five quests can be progressed simultaneously across the same set of matches. The most efficient approach:
- Summon a Sprite before every match from the pre-match lobby. This satisfies Quest 2 passively across five games while also ensuring Quest 3 tracks your Mastery Points from the moment you land.
- Drop directly on an Extraction Site in your first match to activate it immediately (Quest 5). Check the map as you ride the Battle Bus and mark the nearest vacant site before you jump.
- Hit the Sprite Station at the same Extraction Site before or after activating to knock out Quest 4 in the same stop.
- Open every container you pass throughout each match. 75 MP per chest adds up fast toward the 2,500 MP target for Quest 3, and the same play style naturally helps progress Quest 1 as you carry and extract Sprites along the way.
- Extract at least one Sprite per match. Every extraction counts toward the 10 total for Quest 1 and also generates the Sprite Dust you need for Quest 4.
Running this approach across three to four matches should clear all five launch quests comfortably. The extraction quest (10 total) takes the most sessions to complete if you are only getting one or two extractions per game, but it requires no special play — just carry Sprites to Extraction Sites rather than leaving them behind.
When Do New Sprite Safari Quests Arrive
Epic adds new Sprite Safari quests every Saturday at 9 AM ET throughout the Chapter 7 Season 3 season. The season runs until August 19, 2026, so there are multiple quest drops still to come.
Unlike the standard weekly quests that drop on Thursdays and are tracked separately under Weekly Highlights, Sprite Safari quests sit in their own section of the Quests tab. They do not expire weekly — any Sprite Safari quest you have not finished stays open until the season ends, so missing a Saturday drop does not lock you out permanently.
Sprite Safari Quests and Guardian Skin Unlocks
Sprite Safari quests are separate from the Battle Pass skin quests, but they feed into the same broader progression goal. Completing the Sprite system — extracting Sprites, levelling them up, achieving Mastery — unlocks pilot styles for The Guardian skin in the Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass.
The Assemble the Guardian questline requires finding the Stealth Guardian cases spread across Wonkeeland, Shaken Sanctuary, and Calamari Canyon. That questline runs in parallel with Sprite Safari rather than overlapping with it. For full details on those case locations, see our Stealth Guardian case locations guide.
For everything else related to the Sprite system this season — including which Sprites are worth prioritising, how to recover a lost Sprite, and where to find rare Sprites on the map — see our best Sprites in Fortnite Runners guide, our Sprite chest locations guide, and the how to get lost Sprites guide. And if you are looking to recover V-Bucks to spend on Battle Pass tiers, our Fortnite refund items without tickets guide covers every current refund method available in 2026.
