What Are Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6?
Forza Horizon 6 introduces a brand new collectible mechanic called Treasure Cars. These are rare vehicles hidden across Japan’s open world, and every single one is free to claim. You do not spend Credits. You do not need to win an auction. You just find the car and press a button.
The system works like this. As you explore each of FH6’s nine regions, your co-driver Mei sends you a photo clue once you have uncovered enough of that area. The photo shows a rough scene of where the car is parked. Your job is to work out the exact spot and drive there.
There are nine Treasure Cars in total — one per region. The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is the one sitting in the Minamino region, and it is one of the first clues many players receive after earning their first Horizon Festival wristband.

Dodge Charger Treasure Car Location in Forza Horizon 6
The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is parked behind the golf course clubhouse in the Minamino region, near the centre of the map. More specifically, it sits tucked away just off the main road, beside the Airfield Trail Horizon Festival dirt racing event.
The tricky part is that the golf course itself — called Naruo Golf Course — is not labelled on your in-game map. If you do not know what to look for, you can drive past this area multiple times without spotting it. The key is to look at the map carefully. You can actually see the individual golf course fairways and holes if you zoom in — they look distinctly different from the surrounding forests and fields.
The clubhouse sits just to the south of the Naruo Cross-Country Circuit event, which loops around the fairways. Near the back of the clubhouse building, you will find a small yard with golf carts stacked together. Follow those golf carts around to the back of the building, and the dusty 1969 Charger R/T will be parked right there waiting for you.
Step-by-Step: How to Find the Dodge Charger
- Drive around the Minamino region until Mei contacts you with the Charger clue photo.
- Head to the northern part of the Minamino region and look for the large settlement there.
- Follow the main road south from the settlement — the golf course is on your way.
- Look for the Airfield Trail event marker on your map. The clubhouse is right beside it.
- Drive to the back of the clubhouse. Look for the yard with golf carts parked outside.
- The Charger is parked just behind the building. Get close and press X (or your on-screen prompt) to claim it.
Pro Tip: Use the Drone
If you are in the right area but cannot pinpoint the exact spot, pull out the drone and scan from above. It is much faster than circling in a car, and once you spot the Charger from the air, an icon will appear on your map. You can then set a waypoint and have ANNA navigate you straight to it.
How to Claim the Dodge Charger R/T
Claiming the car is instant and free. Pull up to the Charger, wait for the on-screen prompt, and press X. One button press adds the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T to your garage at zero cost. A short cutscene plays and then the car is yours to drive or store.
There is no time pressure. Treasure Cars do not expire. The Charger will be in that spot behind the golf course whenever you get there, whether that is in your first hour of play or your fifteenth.
Once you have it, spend one Skill Point on the Charger right away. You receive an immediate 10,000 XP bonus — the highest amount available for spending a single Skill Point on any car in the game. It is an easy and fast levelling boost that you should never skip.

1969 Dodge Charger R/T Stats in Forza Horizon 6
Here is a look at the numbers behind this classic American muscle car.
- Year: 1969
- Class: C
- Performance Index: 417
- Drivetrain: Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD)
- Engine: 7.0L HEMI V8
- In-Game Credit Value: 224,000 CR
- Category: American Muscle
That 224,000 CR value makes this one of the most valuable Treasure Cars in the game by a significant margin. Getting it free is a serious win for your garage and your Credit balance.
The Charger uses a rear-wheel drive layout, which does not give you the best launch acceleration. However, it excels at maintaining speed once it gets going, thanks to the enormous torque from that HEMI V8. It works well in Street Scene events and drag races, especially in A and S1 class with some tuning applied. If you want a better launch, you can swap the drivetrain — but for drag racing, keeping the RWD setup is recommended.

Is the Dodge Charger R/T Worth Getting?
Absolutely. This is one of the strongest free cars in the entire game. Here is why it stands out.
It is free. A car with a 224,000 CR value being handed to you for simply exploring a region is a massive deal, especially early in the game when Credits are harder to come by.
It is actually competitive. Unlike the Class D Nissan Figaro, the Charger R/T at Class C with a 417 PI is genuinely useful in races. It can hold its own in Street Scene events and is a strong base for a drag build with the right tuning.
It is an icon. The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is one of the most recognisable American cars ever made. It appeared in Fast and Furious as Dominic Toretto’s car. It was the General Lee in Dukes of Hazzard. In real life, the factory 426 HEMI version produced around 425 horsepower and over 490 lb-ft of torque. Getting it in FH6 for free is a moment worth taking seriously.
It also has a distinctive HEMI ignition sound that comes with the stock supercharger. Worth keeping the engine stock just to enjoy that noise as you pull away from events.

Tips for Collecting All Treasure Cars Faster
- Play naturally first. Mei only sends the clue once you have explored enough of the region. Just play the game and the clues come to you.
- Use the drone every time. Once you have a photo clue, switch to drone mode in the general area shown. It covers ground far faster than driving around guessing.
- Look for nearby event markers. Most Treasure Cars are parked close to a known Horizon event or point of interest. For the Charger, it is the Airfield Trail. Use those as your anchor.
- Zoom in on the map. Features like golf courses, wind turbines, and bridges are visible on the map if you look closely. They will help you narrow down the search area before you even drive there.
- Spend your Skill Points immediately. Do not sit on the 10,000 XP bonus. Spend one Skill Point on each Treasure Car as soon as you claim it.
