One region might have several landmarks that look similar to the clue, which is why knowing the precise spot in advance saves a lot of frustration. The 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE is located on the western edge of the Ohtani region, near the border with Shimanoyama, west of the Ohtani Horizon Festival Site. The car is parked in an open flat area among a cluster of radio towers.

This is where players go wrong — the Ohtani region has several groups of radio towers scattered around it, and the clue photo alone does not tell you which cluster is the right one. The one you need has three red towers plus a larger white tower nearby, along with a wooden building or shop close to the site. The RX-7 is parked on the southeast side of this specific tower cluster, tucked between a grey tower and one of the red ones, near some wooden pallets.

Because the area is flat and open, the RX-7 is actually slightly easier to spot visually than some of the other Treasure Cars once you are in the right cluster. If you approach from the wrong angle you can still miss it, but the terrain does not obstruct your view the way forested or urban regions do.

Step-by-Step: How to Find the Mazda RX-7

Drive around the Ohtani region until Mei sends you the RX-7 clue photo.
Head to the western edge of Ohtani, near the Shimanoyama border.
Look for the radio tower cluster that has three red towers and one larger white tower together.
If you only see one or two red towers without the white one nearby, you are at the wrong cluster — keep moving.
Drive to the southeast side of the correct cluster and look between the grey and red towers.
The RX-7 is parked near wooden pallets next to a small building. Get close and press X to claim it.

Pro Tip: Use the Drone to Find It Fast

The Ohtani region is relatively flat, which makes the drone especially effective here. Once you are in the western part of the region near the Shimanoyama border, switch to drone mode and scan from above. The radio tower cluster you need will stand out clearly — three red towers and a large white one together. Fly toward the southeast side of it and you will spot the RX-7 quickly. Getting close enough reveals a purple icon on your map, and then ANNA can guide you straight to it.

An off-road trail from the Shimanoyama border also leads directly to the tower cluster, so if you are coming from the west, follow that trail and it will take you right there.

How to Claim the Mazda RX-7

Once you arrive at the RX-7, simply drive up to it and press X when the on-screen prompt appears. The car is added to your garage immediately at no cost, with a short cutscene before you can drive or store it.

There is no time limit. The RX-7 will be parked in that spot whether you find it in your first hour of play or after dozens of hours of exploring. Treasure Cars do not expire.

As soon as you have it, spend one Skill Point on the RX-7 right away. You get 10,000 XP instantly — the highest bonus available for spending a single Skill Point on any car in FH6. If you are collecting all nine Treasure Cars, that adds up to 90,000 XP total just from first Skill Points alone.

Explore naturally. You do not need to chase Treasure Cars on day one. Mei sends the clue automatically once you have explored enough of the region. Just play the game.
Use the drone immediately. Once you have a clue photo, switch to drone mode in the rough area it shows. The drone covers ground much faster than driving. A purple icon appears on your map once you are close enough to the car.
