What Is the Estate in Forza Horizon 6?
The Estate is a dedicated property in the western Hokubu region of Japan — a sprawling mountain valley that you can build and customise entirely to your own design using the World Builder toolset. It is unlocked through the Yashiki House, the cheapest purchasable property in the game at 10,000 Credits.
Unlike other houses in FH6, the Estate is not a standard home with a set layout. It is a blank canvas — a large outdoor space where you can place foliage, decorations, track pieces, and structures to build anything from a scenic lookout to a fully functional drift track or custom race circuit. A handful of prefab buildings are pre-placed and cannot be removed, but everything else is yours to arrange from scratch. Prerequisite — Own the Yashiki House First
Before you can visit another player’s estate, you must own the Yashiki House yourself. The option to view or visit other players’ estates does not appear in any menu until this prerequisite is met. This is the most common reason players cannot find the feature.
To unlock the Yashiki House:
- Earn the Yellow Discover Japan Stamp in your Collection Journal. This is the first stamp tier and unlocks naturally through a combination of finding Mascots scattered across Japan, completing Horizon Stories, and general exploration activities.
- Once you have the Yellow Stamp, Mei sends you a message pointing you to the Yashiki House location in the Hokubu region. A short cutscene plays on arrival.
- Purchase the Yashiki House for 10,000 Credits. This is the cheapest paid property in the game. The Estate Builder perk unlocks immediately.
You do not need to grind aggressively for the Yellow Stamp. Normal early-game play — doing a couple of Horizon Story events and driving toward landmarks — naturally generates enough Discover Japan Points to reach it within your first few hours. Method 1 — Creative Hub (Fastest, No Friends Required)
This is the recommended method. It does not require a convoy, a friend online, or any preparation beyond owning the Yashiki House.
- Open the main menu and navigate to Online.
- Select Social from the Online menu.
- Browse the player list. The Featured tab or a high-rank player are good starting points — players with active builds are more likely to have their estate set to public.
- Select a player’s name to open their profile.
- Choose View Creative Hub from their profile options.
- On the left side of the Creative Hub screen, select Visit Their Estate and press A.
- A loading screen will appear and you will spawn inside that player’s estate.
If the estate you select is set to private or locked, the Visit option will be greyed out or unavailable. Simply go back and try a different player — work down the list until you find one set to public. The Featured Estates tab tends to surface the most visited and most openly shared builds, making it the most reliable starting point.
As soon as the game loads you into the player’s estate, you are free to drive around and explore what they have built. The What Are You Doing in My Estate? achievement unlocks automatically the moment the estate loads.
Method 2 — Via a Convoy (With Friends)
If you want to visit a specific friend’s estate rather than a random community player, use the convoy method.
- Form a convoy with the friend whose estate you want to visit. You can invite them through the Online → Convoy menu or via the Xbox app or Steam friend invite system.
- Once both of you are in the same convoy, open the convoy member list.
- Select your friend’s name in the list.
- Choose View Creative Hub from their convoy profile options.
- Select Visit Their Estate and press A.
Important note: your friend must have their estate set to public or open for the visit to work. If they have it set to private, the option will fail. To change estate visibility, the estate owner needs to go to My Horizon → My Estate → Visitor Permission and set it to open before you attempt the visit. If you join someone’s convoy and it loads you directly into their estate automatically, the achievement may trigger immediately on that load.
How to Set Your Own Estate to Public
If another player wants to visit your estate and cannot, the problem is usually visibility settings. Here is how to open your estate to visitors:
- Navigate to My Horizon in the main menu.
- Select My Estate.
- Open Visitor Permission.
- Set it to Open.
With the permission set to Open, other players can find and visit your estate through the Creative Hub or convoy. Each visit generates a small Credit reward for you passively — the more appealing your build, the more visits you attract. What Can You Do in Another Player’s Estate?
Once you load into another player’s estate, you are free to drive around the entire space. Depending on what the owner has built, you might find:
- Custom drift tracks and circuits built from track pieces
- Scenic layouts with foliage and decorations set up for photo opportunities
- Obstacle courses using ramps, containers, and props
- Open spaces with unique car meet setups

Visiting any player’s estate for the first time unlocks the What Are You Doing in My Estate? achievement, worth 10 Gamerscore. It is currently listed as a rare achievement on Xbox because the feature is buried in menus and many players never discover it without a guide.
The achievement is one of only two in FH6 that require any online interaction — the other being the Four Swords convoy achievement. Everything else in the game can be completed solo and offline.
