The game is available on Forza.net, Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.

What Is the Welcome to Japan Festival Playlist?

The Festival Playlist is Forza Horizon 6’s live-service event system. Series 1: Welcome to Japan runs from May 21 to June 18, 2026, split into four weekly seasons — Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. Each season lasts seven days and brings its own set of challenges, championships, and reward cars.

You earn points by completing events. Hit the season point thresholds and you unlock exclusive cars that are not available in the Autoshow. Miss the window and you will have to wait for them to return in a later series.

Points also accumulate across the whole series toward two series-wide reward cars. Every single point you earn in Autumn counts toward that total too. See the full Festival Playlist seasonal events guide for the complete picture across all four seasons.

Autumn Season Dates

  • Start: Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:30 AM Eastern Time
  • End: Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 10:30 AM Eastern Time

Once Autumn ends, the season flips to Winter and the Autumn-exclusive challenges, events, and reward cars are gone. You have seven days to get everything done.

Autumn Season Reward Cars

There are two cars up for grabs this season, unlocked by hitting point thresholds:

  • 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec — 15 season points
  • 1991 Honda CR-X SiR — 30 season points

15 points is very achievable for any player who completes a handful of activities. 30 points requires more effort but is still well within reach if you hit the daily challenges, seasonal events, and the weekly challenge. With up to 48 points available this season, there is plenty of room to reach both thresholds.

Full Series 1 Reward Cars

On top of the seasonal rewards, Series 1: Welcome to Japan offers two series-wide cars tied to your total cumulative points across all four seasons:

  • 2008 Mazda Furai — available throughout the entire playlist
  • 2010 Nissan 370Z — requires 120 cumulative series points

The 120-point threshold for the 370Z is roughly a third of the total 180 points available across the whole series. Completing Autumn’s full challenge set puts you well ahead of pace. For the 2008 Mazda Furai performance stats guide, we have a dedicated page.

Autumn Daily Challenges

Seven daily challenges drop across the Autumn week. Each one is worth 1 festival point and 5,000 Credits. The key thing to know is that daily challenges do not expire on the day they are released — they stay active until the season ends. You can stack them and knock them all out in one session if you prefer.

Seven daily challenges give you 7 points total, which on its own puts the 15-point Skyline within easy reach when combined with a couple of other activities.

One of the daily challenges this week is called Drop the Beat, which requires the 1991 Honda Beat specifically. Make sure you own this car before June 2 so you are not scrambling at the last minute.

Weekly Challenge – 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s

This week’s multi-step Weekly Challenge is themed around the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s. You must own the car before you can begin, and the four steps must be completed in order. Finishing all four earns you a Super Wheelspin and 5 festival points.

The four steps are:

  1. Own and drive the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s
  2. Earn 3 Stars at Drift Zones in the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s
  3. Win a Road Race in the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s
  4. Complete 2 runs at the Festival Kilometre Drag Strip in the Nissan Silvia K’s

The Silvia K’s is rear-wheel drive, which makes it a natural fit for the drift zone step. Once you nail the stars, the road race and drag strip steps follow quickly. The final reward is 5 points and 25,000 Credits.

If you want to get the most from your Silvia K’s before starting the challenge, check the FH6 car tuning guide and the best drift cars and tuning setup guide for tips on hitting those drift zone stars efficiently.

Seasonal Events and Championships

Seasonal events carry the heaviest point values in the playlist. Championships reward 5 points each and come with exclusive car prizes on top. Make sure you check the car class and category restrictions before entering — using the wrong car means no points and no reward.

Three of the seasonal events this Autumn have a B Class (600) Japan-restricted requirement. These are the events named Highway Jump, Forest Straight, and On Par. Check your garage for a Japanese B-class car before heading in. See the all cars by class complete list if you need help finding one.

The three seasonal championships this Autumn each reward a unique car on top of the 5 points they offer. These cars are exclusive to the playlist, so they are worth prioritizing if you want a full garage.

Treasure Hunt – Minamino Region

The Autumn Treasure Hunt is located in the Minamino region, northeast of Tokyo City. The photo clue shows a golf course. The chest itself is on a small hill at the hairpin turn on the northern edge of the dirt road surrounding the golf course, right next to a golf flag.

Smash it with your car to earn:

  • 100,000 Credits
  • 3 festival points

This is the fastest 3 points available in the whole Autumn playlist. It takes under five minutes once you know the location. See the full Minamino Region Treasure Hunt guide for the exact chest location with step-by-step directions.

Photo Challenge – Tokyo Tower

The Autumn Photo Challenge sends you to the Tokyo Tower in western Tokyo City. The tower is just south of the Tokyo City Food Delivery Job marker on your map. Drive right up to the base of the tower, enter photo mode with D-Pad Up, frame the tower base and your car, and take the shot.

Taking the photo from a distance will not register. You need to be at the base of the tower.

Completing this challenge earns you:

  • 2 festival points
  • “Oooh…Shiny!” Forza Link exclamation phrase
  • 100 Discover Japan Points (first visit only)

For the full walkthrough with exact location details, see the Forza Horizon 6 Tokyo Tower photo challenge guide.

Online Challenges

Two online challenges are available in Autumn:

  • Mazda of the Mountain – Touge Showdown: Complete a Touge Showdown Championship in any Mazda. Reward: 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO and 3 points. That is an exceptional car for a single online event. For help with Touge racing, see the Touge battle mode complete guide and the best cars for Touge battles.
  • Soni Circuit Monthly Rivals: Post a clean lap at Soni Circuit to beat the rival time. Reward: Super Wheelspin and 4 points. You only need to beat the rival once — no need to chase leaderboard times.

For more on how multiplayer progression works in FH6, see the Horizon Play multiplayer progression and ranking guide.

Horizon Arcade

The Horizon Arcade events return in Autumn and offer playlist points for participation. These are short group activities that appear on the map and are worth joining whenever they pop up near you. Check the Horizon Arcade guide for tips on how to maximize your time in each event.

How Many Points Can You Earn in Autumn?

Here is a quick breakdown of the points available this season:

  • Daily Challenges — 7 points (1 per day)
  • Weekly Challenge (Nissan Silvia K’s) — 5 points
  • Treasure Hunt (Minamino) — 3 points
  • Photo Challenge (Tokyo Tower) — 2 points
  • Seasonal Championships — up to 15 points (5 each)
  • Other Seasonal Events — variable points
  • Mazda of the Mountain (Online) — 3 points
  • Soni Circuit Monthly Rivals — 4 points
  • Horizon Arcade — additional points

Total potential: up to 48 points this Autumn alone. That puts both seasonal reward cars well within reach and gives you a strong head start on the 120-point series target for the Nissan 370Z.

Tips to Hit 15 or 30 Points Fast

If you are short on time, here is the most efficient path to each threshold:

To reach 15 points quickly:

  • Complete the Treasure Hunt in Minamino (3 points, under 5 minutes)
  • Do the Tokyo Tower Photo Challenge (2 points, under 3 minutes)
  • Stack your daily challenges (7 points total)
  • That is already 12 points. One championship or the Rivals event pushes you past 15.

To reach 30 points:

  • Add the Weekly Challenge (Nissan Silvia K’s) for 5 more points
  • Complete one or two seasonal championships (5 points each)
  • Do the Mazda of the Mountain Touge Showdown (3 points and a free Lamborghini)

What Comes After Autumn?

The Winter season of Series 1: Welcome to Japan begins on June 4, 2026. It brings a new set of challenges and two more seasonal reward cars. The Winter Photo Challenge is expected to be located outside a stadium. There will also be a new Treasure Hunt in a different area of the map.

Keep completing challenges each week to stay on pace for the full series rewards. The entire Series 1 reward track requires 180 points total to fully complete. Missing a week makes the top-tier rewards harder to reach.

You can also earn a Cherry Blossom Badge cosmetic reward by completing at least one of every activity type during Series 1 — a good reason to try everything the playlist has to offer.

Other Autumn Activities Worth Doing

While you are grinding the Autumn playlist, a few other activities work well alongside it:

Frequently Asked Questions

Up to 48 points are available across all Autumn activities. Both reward car thresholds are achievable for any player who completes a solid mix of challenges.
