Tips to Unlock All Achievements in Gears of War E-Day
Start on a Lower Difficulty, Then Replay on Insane
Don’t start on Insane right away. Play through the campaign first on a normal difficulty to learn the layout, enemy patterns, and locations of all collectibles and secondary objectives. Then go back on Insane with confidence.
Do Secondary Objectives as You Go
Secondary objectives are tracked per playthrough. Don’t leave them for a separate pass. Check our Secondary Objective Locations guide and knock them out on your first or second run.
Collect Everything in One Playthrough
Collectibles and Hard Cases don’t carry over between runs if you’re replaying chapters. Keep our Collectibles Guide open as you play to avoid missing anything.
Prioritize Horde Siege Early
The Horde Siege grind is real. Achievements like I WILL MASSACRE YOU (50,000 kills) and Siege Specialist (max all 4 classes) take a long time. Start playing Horde Siege from day one so the grind doesn’t pile up at the end.
Max Out Your Weapon Mods
The This Is My Rifle achievement requires you to unlock all Weapon Mods in Horde Siege. See our All Mods List and How to Unlock More Weapon Mod Slots guides for help.
Learn the Enemy Types
Some achievements require very specific kills — like using the Gut-Puncher to hit two Grubs at once, or reviving a squad member from DBNO. Knowing your enemy types helps you set up these moments naturally. Check out our All Characters and NPCs guide for full details on every enemy in the game.
