TL;DR
- Soralite only spawns in Sunreach, the floating sky islands added in the 1.0 update.
- You need a Plasma Multicutter (unlocked at Level 54) to mine it — regular pickaxes do not work.
- Aim at the glowing crack on the node, not the flat side, or you deal almost no damage.
- Craft Soralite Ingots at the Ancient Furnace using 2 Soralite + 2 Pure Quartz. Unlocks at Level 66.
- Automate the whole process with a Soralite Quarry at Level 72.
- Soralite Ingots are needed for most 1.0 weapons, Ancient Armor, and base structures.
How to get Soralite and Soralite Ingot in Palworld is one of the most searched questions since the 1.0 update dropped. Soralite is a brand new late-game ore that gates almost every powerful weapon and the full Ancient gear set. Without it, the bulk of the 1.0 arsenal stays locked. This guide covers where to find it, how to mine it correctly, how to smelt it into ingots, and how to automate the whole process so you never run dry.

What Is Soralite in Palworld?
Soralite Ore is Palworld 1.0’s new mid-tier mineral that spawns in exactly one place — Sunreach, the floating sky islands. It refines into Soralite Ingots at the Ancient Furnace, which the Technology tree demands for nearly every new weapon and the Ancient armor set. Without Soralite, the whole 1.0 arsenal stays locked.
Soralite nodes look distinctive. They appear as massive, dark boulders covered in glowing blue crystals. Once you know what to look for, they are not hard to spot — especially from above on a flying mount.

How To Get To Sunreach in Palworld
Sunreach is a new sky island region just east of Feybreak Island. To get there, beat the Feybreak Tower boss and enter the portal on top of the tower to be teleported to Sunreach. You can also fly up to the islands with a high-stamina flying mount if you have not cleared the tower yet.
Be prepared before you arrive. The Azure Covenant have multiple bases set up across the islands. These hostile human NPCs pack serious firepower, and you will need to avoid them or beat them quickly to move through their territory.
How To Mine Soralite in Palworld
This is where most players get stuck. Regular pickaxes cannot harvest Soralite. Instead, you need the Plasma Multicutter. Using anything else is a waste of time.

Step 1: Unlock and Craft the Plasma Multicutter
The Plasma Multicutter is a tool you can unlock from the Technology tab after reaching Level 54. It is crafted at the Advanced Weapon Assembly Line or similar high-tier workbenches.
Crafting one Plasma Multicutter requires: Computer x10, Cryogenic Coolant x10, Bio Battery x30, Pal Metal Ingot x50, and Plasteel x50. Every one of those components has its own crafting chain, so getting the Plasma Multicutter is itself a major milestone.
Step 2: Find a Soralite Node
Once you are in Sunreach, Soralite nodes appear naturally as you explore. Use a Flying Pal to fly over the island and find large indigo boulders surrounded by smaller bluish crystals. They are quite easy to spot from the air.
Some of the best farming locations include:
- One location close to a fast travel point that contains 6 Soralite ores very close together, making it great for farming. Another has 7 Soralite ores close together and is safe, though the closest fast travel point is at the center of the region and may require a flying mount.
- In Palworld, Soralite mining spots are mostly found around the Waterlily Gorge fast travel point, with nodes at coordinates around -554, -1490 and to the south at -505, -1555.
- Crystalline Archipelago, west of Enchanted Firmament Island, has nearly all nodes along the pathways — the best spot is in the northwestern corner with six Soralite rocks.
Step 3: Hit the Weak Spot
This is the most important mining tip. Walk around the node and locate the visible crack on its surface. Aim directly at the cracked section and fire the cutter until the deposit breaks. Only the cracked weak point takes significant damage — attacking any other section barely affects it, dramatically slowing mining speed.
In simple terms: circle the rock, find the glowing crack, aim there, and fire. Hitting the flat stone face deals only 1 damage per shot. Once you find the weak spot, the node breaks quickly.
Soralite nodes respawn over time, so you can return to the same locations for repeated farming runs.

How To Make Soralite Ingots in Palworld
Raw Soralite Ore cannot be used directly in most recipes. You need to refine it into Soralite Ingots. Mine Soralite Ore in the new cloud-covered biome, then refine it with Pure Quartz at the Ancient Furnace after unlocking the Level 66 recipe.
Step 1: Unlock the Soralite Ingot Recipe (Level 66)
You can craft Soralite Ingots using 2 Soralite and 2 Pure Quartz at the Ancient Furnace. This Technology is unlocked at Level 66.
Step 2: Get Pure Quartz
You will need to make a detour into the freezing peaks of the Astral Mountains to mine the Pure Quartz nodes scattered across the snow. Pure Quartz is only found in this biome, so plan a trip there alongside your Sunreach runs.
Step 3: Build the Ancient Furnace
Soralite Ingots require advanced refinement technology that unlocks at Level 66. The Ancient Furnace is the only structure capable of melting down this specialized ore. Build it at your base.
The Ancient Furnace also needs a Power Generator to run. Make sure to assign a Pal with high Kindling and Cooling suitability to generate electricity. You need both types of Pal working at the same time for it to function.
Specifically, the craft only fires when both a Level 6 Kindling and a Level 6 Ice Pal are working the Ancient Furnace at once — one type alone will leave it idle.
An easy way to meet this requirement is to use a Pal Essence Condenser to increase the level of the desired Pals. Condensing increases the level of their skills. You can also explore late-game areas and catch powerful Pals that already meet the criteria, or use Work Suitability Books if you have been collecting them.
Step 4: Smelt Soralite Ingots
Once the Ancient Furnace is powered and your Pals are assigned, interact with it and queue the Soralite Ingot recipe. The recipe takes 2 Soralite + 2 Pure Quartz per ingot. Build multiple furnaces if you need ingots in bulk.

How To Automate Soralite Farming (Soralite Quarry)
If you do not want to keep flying to Sunreach manually, there is a better solution. The Soralite Quarry is unlocked in the Ancient Technology tree at Level 72 and costs 7 Ancient Technology Points. It produces Soralite passively.
The Soralite Quarry removes the need to manually fly to nodes once placed correctly. It still needs a mining-capable Pal assigned to run it — the Quarry does not swing the pickaxe itself.
To get the most out of the Quarry, use Pals with a high Mining work suitability. Mining stats now scale to Level 10 instead of the old cap of five, so even a freshly caught Pal with a base stat is not a lost cause — just a slow one. A condensed or bred Pal with Level 6 or higher Mining will make the Quarry run at full efficiency.
The first thing many players suggest once you start crafting Soralite Ingots is to save up 100 Soralite Ingots and craft the Soralite Quarry. Once it is built, your base can passively gather Soralite Ores even when you are not there.

Other Ways To Get Soralite
Mining nodes is the main method, but it is not the only one. Soralite also turns up in treasure boxes in Sunreach and as Pal drops. Looting chests while you explore the sky islands is a great way to top up your supply between mining runs.
Soralite can also be produced through the Ancient Material Synthesizer with a Level 6 Mining Pal. It is unlocked at Technology Level 78. This is the highest-tier passive production option available if you reach that point in the game.
What Is Soralite Ingot Used For in Palworld?
Soralite Ingots are one of the most valuable materials in the 1.0 update. They are needed for a wide range of late-game content:
Weapons:
- Most of the new 1.0 weapons including the Mechanical Bow, Combat SMG, Prototype Shotgun, Heavy Assault Rifle, Tactical Grenade Launcher, Laser Sword, and Enhanced Lily’s Spear all require Soralite Ingots.
Armor and Gear:
- Soralite is the primary material used to craft the Ancient Armor, the Ancient Helm, and the Ancient Shield.
Base Structures:
- Soralite Ingots are used to construct the Gold Coin Assembly Line, the Ancient Kitchen, the Ancient Monitoring Stand, the Ancient Workbench, and the Ancient Pal Bed.
- They are also used for Ancient structural building sets including walls, doors, windows, fences, roofs, stairs, foundations, and more.
Advanced Ingots:
- Soralite Ingots also feed into Paloxite Ingots — one Soralite per Paloxite Ingot — so they matter even for the very top-tier energy weapons.
