HYACINE
Build Guide – Best Relics, Light Cone & Teams
🌈 SS TIER WIND HEALER 🌈Physician of the Sky Coreflame · Rainbow Healer of the Twilight Courtyard
Hyacine (also known as Hyacinthia) is a 5-star Wind Remembrance character and the first dedicated healer following the Remembrance path in Honkai: Star Rail. As the Chrysos Heir who guards the Sky Coreflame, she steps forward amid the crumbling of Amphoreus’s cloud city to mend the world with her rainbow light. First released in Version 3.3 (May 2025) and featured again in the HSR 4.0 (February 2026) rerun banner, Hyacine is unanimously recognised as one of the best healers in the game — combining consistent AoE healing, a powerful Max HP boost, and significant sub-DPS potential through her Memosprite, Little Ica (affectionately nicknamed “Fat F***” by the community for her endearing chonky design).
Hyacine’s design philosophy is built on speed, HP, and the feedback loop between healing and damage. She is built to be exceptionally fast — targeting 200+ SPD — so she can act frequently, trigger healing, and enable Little Ica’s devastating AoE nuke which scales off total cumulative healing done. Her Ultimate’s “After Rain” state — granting +30–50% Max HP to all allies — is the cornerstone buff for HP-scaling DPS characters like Castorice, Mydei, and Blade. Her A6 trace grants her and Little Ica 100% CRIT Rate, her signature Light Cone drains team HP (fueling Castorice’s energy gain), and her A2 trace provides a +20% All-Type RES PEN for all allies when Little Ica is on the field. She is the definitive sustain partner for Castorice, and a universally strong healer for nearly any team in the game.
Core Mechanics Explained
SPD Breakpoints — The Most Important Thresholds
Speed is Hyacine’s primary stat. Every SPD milestone below unlocks meaningful improvements. Prioritise these thresholds when selecting relics, planar ornaments, and substat targets.
🌈 SPD Synergy with the Signature Light Cone
Hyacine’s signature Light Cone “Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky” provides a substantial SPD% increase on top of a flat SPD bonus — making it the single easiest way to push Hyacine through the 200 SPD breakpoint and significantly beyond without over-investing in SPD substats. At S1, the SPD from the signature alone effectively handles 50–60% of the SPD gap between base kit (SPD 110) and the 200 target. This is why, for players who primarily use Hyacine with Castorice, the signature is recommended over the first Eidolon — it simultaneously provides SPD, the HP drain mechanic, and the enemy vulnerability buff.
Best Light Cones
Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Signature — Best in Slot
Why it’s #1: Hyacine’s dedicated signature and far her most impactful upgrade. At S1 it provides: (1) +30% SPD bonus (the largest SPD% bonus any LC provides, immediately pushing Hyacine past the 200 breakpoint); (2) after Hyacine uses Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, consumes 2% of each ally’s current HP, then deals AoE damage to enemies equal to 250% of the total HP consumed; (3) after Little Ica uses her Memosprite Skill, enemies take +36% increased damage for 2 turns.
The HP drain element is what makes this signature transformative beyond just personal power. Every drain instance contributes to Castorice’s Ultimate energy gain, enabling Castorice’s dragon on the very first turn in many rotations. It also synergizes with Blade (triggering his counter-attack passive), Evernight’s Memoria stacking, and Mydei’s HP consumption cycles. The enemy vulnerability buff (+36% DMG taken) effectively increases the entire team’s damage — making this LC provide some of the best team DPS amplification in the game for any LC that isn’t a Harmony support’s signature. Strongly recommended as a priority pull even before E1.
Memory’s Curtain Never Falls
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Herta Store — Best F2P 5-StarBest Non-Signature Option: The 5-star Remembrance Light Cone available from the Herta Store (purchasable with Dream Shards earned through Simulated Universe). It provides a solid HP% stat — directly boosting Hyacine’s healing, Little Ica’s inherited HP, and Ica’s damage tally calculation. While it lacks the SPD of the signature (meaning you’ll need more SPD substats or relic investment to hit breakpoints), it represents the best free alternative for players committed to Hyacine but without access to the signature. Aim for this as your fallback if not pulling the signature LC.
Victory in a Blink
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-Star — Best Gacha 4-StarBest 4-Star Option: A Remembrance path 4-star LC providing Energy Regeneration Rate and Outgoing Healing bonus. ERR helps Hyacine cycle her Ultimate more frequently to maintain After Rain state uptime, and Outgoing Healing complements her SPD-scaling. It is notably weaker than Memory’s Curtain Never Falls but is available from standard gacha and can serve as a functional option while farming the Herta Store. At high superimpositions (S5), it becomes a more competitive budget option.
Warmth Shortens Cold Nights
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-Star — F2P HP OptionAccessible HP-Scaling Option: A free-to-obtain 4-star Abundance path LC that provides +16% Max HP at S1. While it is an Abundance path cone (Hyacine follows Remembrance path and won’t get the path bonus), the raw HP% stat still directly scales her healing output and Ica’s HP — making it viable as a placeholder option for newer players. Upgrade to Memory’s Curtain Never Falls as soon as possible, but this can bridge the gap early on.
Best Relics & Planar Ornaments
Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder ✦ Best in Slot
The dedicated relic set for Hyacine and unambiguously her best option. The total SPD gain from the 4-piece is +12% SPD (6% base + 6% Gentle Rain) — the largest SPD boost any relic set can provide, making it dramatically easier to reach the 200 SPD breakpoint. The +15% team-wide CRIT DMG during Gentle Rain is a passive team DPS boost that applies to Castorice, Evernight, the Remembrance Trailblazer’s Mem, and any other character — an exceptional support effect on a healer’s relic set. Gentle Rain triggers every time Hyacine or Ica heals (which is essentially every turn, given Ica’s automatic healing on ally damage), making this bonus near-permanent in combat. Farm this set first and maintain it as your primary relic investment. There is no better alternative in the current meta.
2-Piece Combinations (Transition Option) Alt While Farming
These 2-piece combinations are purely transitional options while farming the full Warrior Goddess 4-piece. They match the SPD gain of the 4-piece but lose the critical +15% team CRIT DMG buff from Gentle Rain. Once you have 4 solid Warrior Goddess pieces with good sub-stats (SPD/HP%/CRIT DMG), retire these immediately. The primary metric for choosing Warrior Goddess pieces should be SPD and HP% sub-stats — even a piece with mediocre main stats is worth using if it provides multiple SPD and HP% rolls.
World-Remaking Deliverer Strong Alt (Team DMG Focus)
An interesting alternative set that trades SPD focus for HP scaling and team DMG amplification. The +24% Max HP to Hyacine and Ica directly boosts healing output and Ica’s HP-based damage. The +15% team DMG buff and the +8% CRIT Rate 2-piece are both wasted on Hyacine (who already has 100% CRIT Rate), but the set can be viable if you obtain pieces with exceptional SPD and HP% sub-stats. Best used only if you have significantly better-rolled World-Remaking pieces than Warrior Goddess alternatives. Warrior Goddess is the default BIS — consider this only for high-investment players who are optimizing above the baseline.
Giant Tree of Rapt Brooding ✦ Best Planar Ornament
When the wearer’s SPD is 135 or higher: Outgoing Healing +12%
When the wearer’s SPD is 180 or higher: Outgoing Healing +20% (does not stack — becomes +20% total at 180 SPD)
Hyacine’s perfect planar ornament — the set was essentially designed around her kit. The +6% SPD helps push toward the 200 breakpoint, and the +20% Outgoing Healing at 180 SPD is a permanent, unconditional healing amplifier once the threshold is met. Since Hyacine targets 200+ SPD in all builds, she exceeds 180 by default and maintains the full +20% at all times. This planar also benefits Little Ica, whose Outgoing Healing is included. There is no competing planar ornament for Hyacine in her primary role as a healer. As a secondary option, Penacony, Land of the Dreams provides ERR and Wind DMG (helpful for Little Ica’s damage in pure damage-focused builds), but Giant Tree is the go-to choice for all content types.
Stat Priorities & Build Targets
Main Stat Recommendations by Piece
🌈 Why SPD > HP is the Right Priority Order
The community consensus (Prydwen, KQM, Icy Veins) confirms that SPD is Hyacine’s most impactful stat for two reasons: (1) hitting the 200 SPD breakpoint unlocks both a +20% Max HP bonus for herself and Ica (which is equivalent to a large HP% stat) AND +1% healing per additional SPD — so SPD at 200+ grants both more effective HP and more healing simultaneously; (2) an extra action per cycle at 200 SPD means Hyacine heals and triggers Ica nuke more often. A single SPD substat roll (~2.3 SPD) is approximately equal to a single HP% substat roll in value, but SPD has the additional benefit of unlocking the breakpoint multipliers. Prioritise SPD until you’re comfortable at 220+, then switch focus to HP% and finally CRIT DMG.
Trace & Skill Priority
- Ultimate (Lv.10 — Absolute First Priority): Unlocks more healing per Ultimate cast, maintains longer After Rain state windows, and increases Little Ica’s healing power on After Rain activation. Since After Rain is Hyacine’s most important support state — providing Max HP boost, continuous healing, and automatic Ica nukes — maximising Ultimate directly increases her effectiveness in every dimension. Level this first.
- Memosprite Talent (Lv.10 — First Priority tied): Governs Little Ica’s AoE “Rainclouds, Time to Go!” damage scaling. Since Ica’s damage feeds back into the Healing Tally (which future Ica nukes scale off), levelling Memosprite Talent increases both immediate damage output and the snowball potential of later nukes. For players who want Hyacine to contribute meaningful sub-DPS alongside healing, this is equal priority to Ultimate.
- Skill (Lv.8–10 — Second Priority): Increases healing from Hyacine’s Skill cast. The percentage scaling at higher Skill levels also increases Little Ica’s HP restoration when summoned, improving the Healing Tally start rate. Level Skill once Ultimate and Memosprite Talent are at comfortable levels (Lv.8+).
- Memosprite Skill (Lv.6+): Governs Little Ica’s passive per-turn healing effect when allies take damage. Levelling this increases the frequency and magnitude of Ica’s reactive healing. Push to 6 as a comfortable minimum during main ability levelling.
- Talent (Lv.6+): Increases Hyacine’s overall healing output and enables Little Ica’s stacking DMG buffs per healing event. Level alongside Skill once higher priorities are met.
- Basic ATK (Lv.1 — Skip): Hyacine’s Basic ATK deals Wind DMG based on her Max HP to a single enemy. In ideal rotations, she almost never uses Basic ATK — Skill is always preferred when SP is available, and After Rain state allows Ica’s nuke to proc automatically. Leave at Lv.1 unless you have excess ascension materials.
- Bonus Abilities (Unlock All Three — Mandatory): A2 (Tempestuous Halt): 200 SPD breakpoint — the most important trace in her kit. A4 (Stormy Caress): Team-wide debuff dispel on Skill/Ultimate + 50% Effect RES — essential defensive utility. A6 (Gloomy Grin): 100% CRIT Rate for Hyacine and Ica + +25% outgoing healing when ally HP < 50% — defines her entire relic build approach. All three are game-changing and must be unlocked as soon as character level allows.
Eidolons Guide
| Eidolon | Name & Effect | Rating | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| E0 | Base Kit — Full Hyacine kit: Little Ica, Healing Tally system, After Rain state (+30% Max HP), 100% CRIT Rate, Tempestuous Halt, +20% RES PEN aura, team debuff dispel | Baseline | E0S0 Hyacine is already one of the strongest healers in the game. E0S1 (no Eidolons, Signature LC) is the recommended first investment target for Castorice team players, as the signature provides more value than E1 for that archetype. |
| E1 | Cradle the Candle of Night — While Hyacine is in the “After Rain” state, all ally Max HP additionally increases by +50% (on top of the base +30%, making it +80% total at E1). Additionally, after each ally uses an attack, immediately restores HP equal to 8% of Hyacine’s Max HP for that ally. | Highest Priority | The single most impactful Eidolon in Hyacine’s kit. At E1, the After Rain Max HP buff jumps from +30% to +80% — a massive boost for Castorice (more HP = more energy from Newbud), Mydei (HP directly fuels his damage), and Blade (HP scales his FUA damage and healing). The immediate 8% HP restore after each attack creates a constant healing stream during After Rain. Most analysts rate this as a must-pull for dedicated HP-scaling team players. Stopping point: E0S1 → E1S1 is the best investment. |
| E2 | Winds Rush On the Wick Ablaze — Whenever any ally’s HP decreases, Hyacine’s SPD increases by +30% for 2 turns. | Solid Upgrade | A strong SPD buff that triggers naturally in HP-drain team compositions (Castorice consuming HP for Newbud, signature LC draining HP, Blade’s self-damage). In Castorice teams, this triggers constantly, effectively giving Hyacine near-permanent +30% SPD on top of her base stats — pushing her comfortably above 250+ SPD in active combat. Not as game-changing as E1 but a meaningful improvement for invested players. |
| E3 | Rainbow’s End Lights the Way — Ultimate and Basic ATK level and level cap +2, Memosprite Skill level +1 | Incremental | Increases Ultimate healing and After Rain base effects. A minor but additive improvement. Not worth targeting unless proceeding to E4+. |
| E4 | Petals Fall, Seeds Scatter — When Little Ica uses “Rainclouds, Time to Go!”, the Healing Tally count is only reduced by 12% (instead of 50%), and while Little Ica is on the field, all allies gain an additional +20% All-Type RES PEN. | High Value Whale | One of the most impactful Eidolons in the game at any rarity. The Healing Tally reduction change (from 50% to 12%) means Ica retains 88% of accumulated healing for future nukes — drastically increasing sustained damage across a long encounter. The additional +20% All-Type RES PEN (stacking with Hyacine’s base +20% aura and Evernight’s +20% for a total of +60%) is enormous. E4 is genuinely transformative — however the investment cost (4 copies) makes it a dedicated whale target only. |
| E5 | Dusk Clears, Skies Reawaken — Skill and Talent level and level cap +2, Memosprite Talent level +1 | Minor Boost | Incremental increase to Skill healing output and Memosprite Talent damage. En route to E6. |
| E6 | Windsong Lifts Each Laden Bough — When Little Ica uses “Rainclouds, Time to Go!”, the first 3 times per battle, Little Ica gets an extra turn and immediately casts the skill again; additionally, when Hyacine uses Skill/Ultimate, she additionally restores HP equal to 12% of her Max HP for all allies (except Ica). | Maximum Power | Fully transforms Little Ica into a persistent AoE DPS machine — 3 consecutive bonus nuke turns early in the battle creates enormous burst damage windows. The additional 12% Max HP healing per action makes Hyacine’s sustain nearly unkillable. E6 represents approximately +20% team DPS increase. Reserved for players fully committed to Hyacine as the cornerstone of their long-term lineup. The power is real; the investment is enormous. |
🌈 Investment Priority: E0S0 → E0S1 → E1S1
For Castorice-first players: E0S1 (no Eidolons, Signature LC) is the highest-priority first step — the signature’s HP drain fuels Castorice’s Ultimate energy and provides the +36% enemy vulnerability buff that benefits the entire team. This is more valuable than E1 in purely Castorice-focused usage. E1S1 is the ideal ultimate investment for players committing to HP-scaling teams (Castorice, Mydei, Blade) long-term — the E1 Max HP boost from +30% to +80% is the largest single-Eidolon power spike she has. E2 adds further SPD synergy for sustained combat. For non-Castorice teams or flexible use, E0S0 remains fully functional as a world-class healer.
Best Team Compositions
Rainbow Sovereignty — Castorice Hypercarry
The highest-performing Castorice composition in HSR 4.0 and the team that defines Hyacine’s SS Tier status. Hyacine’s role here is multi-layered: she sustains the team with AoE healing during Castorice’s aggressive HP-drain cycles, her Little Ica provides permanent +20% All-Type RES PEN for the team (stacking with Evernight’s +20% for +40% total), and — critically with signature LC — every ability she uses drains team HP, directly accelerating Castorice’s Newbud energy gain.
Interaction Details: Castorice’s Pollux generates energy from HP consumed by any means, including Hyacine’s signature LC drain. In this team, HP is consumed by: Castorice’s own ability mechanics, Hyacine’s signature LC drain per action, and Evernight’s Skill HP cost. Combined with Tribbie’s RES PEN and Evernight’s Memosprite CRIT DMG buffs, the full team consistently enables Castorice’s Pollux dragon on the first turn cycle with E0S1 Hyacine. This is the meta-defining Remembrance team of Version 4.0.
Investment Note: Hyacine’s signature LC is strongly recommended here. Without it, the HP drain acceleration is lost, Castorice’s dragon timing slows, and the enemy vulnerability buff disappears. E0S1 Hyacine is significantly better than E0S0 Hyacine for this specific team.
Eternal Dusk — Castorice + Remembrance Core
A full 4-unit Remembrance team maximising Evernight’s Skill CRIT DMG buff (to +65% of her CRIT DMG for all Memosprites). Remembrance Trailblazer provides Mem’s actions to generate Memoria stacks for Evernight and offers team True DMG through Mem’s buffs. Hyacine sustains and provides the permanent RES PEN aura.
This team sacrifices Tribbie’s additional Quantum RES PEN for the full Remembrance synergy bonus. In content requiring heavy healing (Apocalyptic Shadow with dangerous debuffs), this is more survivable than Team 1 due to the AoE heal and debuff dispel combination from Hyacine’s Skill. Ideal for players who have invested in Remembrance Trailblazer but have not yet obtained Tribbie.
Sunday’s Blessing — Castorice Advance Hypercarry
A hypercarry composition replacing Evernight with Sunday to add 100% Action Advance and CRIT DMG buffing for Castorice. Sunday advances Castorice and Pollux simultaneously, dramatically increasing Castorice’s turn frequency and damage output. Hyacine sustains, provides the RES PEN aura, and — with signature — accelerates HP drain for Pollux energy.
This team trades Evernight’s team-wide Memosprite CRIT DMG buff for Sunday’s single-target advance and CRIT package. In single-target boss content where Castorice’s HP drain rate is slower, Sunday’s action advance can be more efficient than Evernight’s AoE CRIT DMG support. Both compositions are top-tier — the choice depends on which support characters you own and the encounter type.
Heaven’s Wrath — Mydei HP Hypercarry
Hyacine is Mydei’s second-best sustain option (behind Luocha for single-target healing needs). Mydei consumes enormous amounts of HP and requires consistent single-target healing to maintain his HP at high levels for damage scaling. Hyacine’s After Rain +30–80% Max HP boost directly increases Mydei’s Max HP, which scales his damage and makes each healing cycle more efficient.
Hyacine’s signature LC makes this team particularly effective: each HP drain instance contributes to Mydei’s HP regeneration feedback loop, and the enemy vulnerability buff (+36% increased damage) applies to Mydei’s massive burst hits. Sunday provides the Action Advance to cycle Mydei more frequently. This team is strongest in single-target Apocalyptic Shadow scenarios where Mydei’s single-target damage is unmatched.
Sword’s Edge — Blade HP-FUA Hypercarry
Hyacine is Blade’s definitive partner — arguably even more important for Blade than for Castorice. Blade consumes his own HP to fuel his follow-up attacks and his charge mechanic, and Hyacine’s signature LC amplifies this by draining additional HP per action (triggering Blade’s counter-attack passive more frequently). Hyacine’s AoE healing keeps Blade alive through self-damage, while the Max HP increase from After Rain directly boosts Blade’s damage (which scales with Max HP).
Note for Blade mains: The build recommendation for Hyacine specifically for Blade teams is signature LC first, then E1 — in this order of priority. The signature LC’s HP drain triggers Blade’s passive more frequently per Hyacine action than any other interaction, making it transformative. E1’s +80% Max HP boost during After Rain directly amplifies Blade’s follow-up attack scaling, making both investments highly impactful.
Rainbow Budget — F2P Castorice Team
A fully accessible F2P team requiring only Castorice and Hyacine as limited 5-stars. Remembrance Trailblazer is the free Remembrance support from the story (obtained automatically). Pela provides -12% Ice RES reduction for Castorice’s Ice DMG via her Ultimate, plus DEF reduction that benefits the whole team.
Even without the signature LC, Hyacine still provides AoE healing, the +20% RES PEN aura from Little Ica, After Rain Max HP buffs, and team debuff dispel. The team’s damage output is meaningfully lower than the premium compositions (no Tribbie RES PEN stacking, no Evernight CRIT DMG buffs), but it remains capable of clearing all endgame content at higher investment levels on the core characters. A solid starting point for new players building their Remembrance foundation.
Playstyle Tips & Advanced Strategy
🌈 Core Rotation Framework
Hyacine’s ideal rotation: (1) Open with Skill — summons Ica, triggers +45 Energy for Hyacine (30 first-summon + 15 regular). (2) Use Ultimate on your second action (the Skill energy + natural regen should be sufficient at 110 cost) — triggers After Rain state (+30/80% Max HP for 3 turns). (3) During After Rain, Skill every turn — each Skill auto-triggers Ica’s AoE nuke, keeps the healing tally climbing, and reapplies “Gentle Rain” for the +15% CRIT DMG team buff from Warrior Goddess relics. (4) When After Rain expires, re-Ultimate ASAP to restore the Max HP buff window. Goal: Maintain After Rain uptime as close to 100% as possible — losing the state means losing team Max HP, which hurts HP-scaling DPS more than losing any other buff.
💨 Why Hyacine Should Absorb Damage (Positioning)
Unlike most healers, Hyacine benefits from allies taking damage — it triggers Little Ica’s automatic reactive healing (which stacks her DMG boost and adds to the Healing Tally). Do not place Hyacine at the edge of the lineup — position her in slot 2 or 3 so the team gets targetted broadly and Ica’s reactive healing triggers frequently. Additionally, her A6 trace provides +25% extra Outgoing Healing when an ally’s HP is below 50% — Hyacine literally heals better when the team is in danger. Controlled HP loss is a feature of her kit, not a risk to avoid.
🔗 Signature LC Interaction with Castorice — Full Breakdown
Castorice’s Pollux dragon energy comes from HP consumed by any ally. With Hyacine’s signature LC, every time Hyacine uses a Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, 2% of each ally’s current HP is drained. In a team of 4 characters with ~10,000 HP each, one Hyacine action drains roughly 800 total HP — contributing ~800 energy units toward Castorice’s Pollux trigger. With Hyacine taking 2–3 actions per cycle at 200 SPD, this contributes 1,600–2,400 energy per cycle from Hyacine alone. This often enables Castorice to summon Pollux in the first cycle without needing additional HP drain from other sources. Without the signature LC, this entire energy acceleration disappears and Castorice must rely solely on battle damage and her own ability HP consumption.
🌈 Debuff Dispel — Often Overlooked Utility
Hyacine’s A4 trace (Stormy Caress) causes her Skill and Ultimate to dispel 1 debuff from all allies simultaneously. This team-wide AoE cleanse is exceptionally rare in HSR — most cleansers (Huohuo, Luocha, Gallagher) only cleanse a single target per use. In Apocalyptic Shadow content where bosses apply persistent AoE debuffs (Imprisonment, Freeze, ATK reduction, SPD reduction), Hyacine passively clears them for the entire team with every Skill — no additional action cost, no setup required. This makes Hyacine a comprehensive sustain who eliminates the need for a dedicated cleanser in virtually all current endgame content, freeing the fourth team slot for an offensive support instead.
Should You Pull Hyacine?
✓ Pull If:
- You own Castorice — Hyacine is Castorice’s best sustain by a significant margin, providing HP drain energy acceleration, AoE sustain, Max HP buffs, RES PEN, and debuff dispel in one character slot
- You own Blade or Mydei — both characters scale directly off Max HP and consume their own HP, synergising perfectly with Hyacine’s After Rain buff and signature LC drain mechanic
- You need a flexible, universal healer — while Hyacine is strongest in HP-scaling teams, her permanent +20% RES PEN aura, team debuff cleanse, and AoE healing make her viable in essentially any composition
- You want to invest in the Remembrance archetype long-term — as HoYoverse continues releasing Remembrance characters, Hyacine’s value scales with every new unit added
- You lack a strong AoE healer — Hyacine is one of very few characters who heals all allies simultaneously while also providing meaningful team utility beyond pure sustain
⚠️ Consider Skipping If:
- You don’t own Castorice, Blade, or Mydei — Hyacine provides strong general utility but loses her most impactful mechanics outside HP-scaling teams
- You already have excellent sustain options (Luocha, Lingsha, Huohuo) and your current teams are stable — Hyacine is an upgrade over existing sustains for HP teams but not all teams
- Your primary team is a Break or DoT team — Lingsha for break, Huohuo or Gallagher for DoT teams significantly outperform Hyacine in those specific archetypes
- You’re saving resources for an upcoming DPS whose impact on your account is higher — Hyacine’s value is high but so is her investment cost if pulling both her and the signature LC
Final Verdict: Hyacine is one of the most versatile and impactful sustain characters in Honkai: Star Rail 4.0. Her combination of AoE healing, Max HP buff, permanent team-wide RES PEN, debuff dispel, HP drain synergy (with signature), and meaningful sub-DPS output from Little Ica makes her a character who contributes to the team in far more ways than a traditional healer. She is Castorice’s definitive partner and a top-3 sustain in the game for HP-scaling compositions. Her SS Tier rating is fully justified — with proper investment (E0S1 minimum), she transforms Castorice and Blade teams into some of the highest-damage compositions in the current meta. Even at E0S0, she is a world-class flexible healer who fits comfortably into virtually any team as a sustain option.
Hyacine vs Other SS Tier Characters
vs Castorice (Ice Remembrance DPS): Castorice is Hyacine’s definitive partner, not her competitor. Castorice provides the explosive HP-scaling Ice DPS; Hyacine provides the healing, Max HP inflation, energy acceleration, and sustain that enable Castorice to operate aggressively. Together they form the strongest Remembrance duo in the game. Pull both if possible.
vs Evernight (Ice Remembrance Sub-DPS): Evernight is Hyacine’s sub-DPS partner, not a replacement. Evernight provides Memosprite CRIT DMG buffs, additional +20% RES PEN, and offensive output; Hyacine provides healing, Max HP buffs, HP drain energy for Castorice, and +20% RES PEN. Stacking both creates +40% team RES PEN — they are perfectly complementary. Castorice + Evernight + Hyacine is the gold standard Remembrance team core.
vs Huohuo (Wind Abundance): Huohuo provides team-wide Energy restoration, ATK buffs, and healing — she is the premier sustain for Harmony support teams (Phainon + Sunday, Feixiao). Hyacine and Huohuo serve different team archetypes: Hyacine is better for HP-scaling (Castorice, Blade, Mydei); Huohuo is better for Energy-hungry and traditional DPS compositions. Both are SS Tier in their respective niches.
vs Tribbie (Quantum Harmony): Tribbie is a support, not a sustain — she cannot replace Hyacine’s healing function. In Castorice teams, many compositions use both: Castorice + Tribbie + Evernight + Hyacine is the premium 4-unit team. Tribbie adds additional Quantum RES PEN stacking on top of Hyacine’s +20% and Evernight’s +20%, creating multiplicative team-wide penetration that benefits every character’s damage output.
