Xbox Games Showcase 2026 — Every Single Announcement and Reveal

    By Krushna Vasudeva · June 8, 2026 · 10 min read
    Xbox Games Showcase 2026

The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 is done, and it was genuinely one of the better ones in recent memory. New CEO Asha Sharma set the tone early with a statement of intent for where Xbox is heading, and the show delivered on that promise — exclusive announcements, world premiere reveals, Day One Game Pass confirmations, franchise comebacks, anniversary hardware, and a lineup that keeps the pipeline stacked well into 2027.

Over 25 games were shown across the roughly one-hour showcase, followed immediately by the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. Here’s every single announcement from the show, organized so you can find exactly what you’re looking for.

    The Big Exclusive Headlines

The single biggest news out of the whole showcase was that Xbox is bringing back console exclusives. Two games were confirmed as Xbox console exclusives during the show, which is the clearest signal yet that Microsoft is serious about making Xbox hardware matter again.

Best Games on Xbox Game Pass Right Now

Gears of War: E-Day — October 6, 2026 (Xbox Console Exclusive)

The show opened with the first-ever gameplay trailer for Gears of War: E-Day, and it delivered. Set during Emergence Day — the brutal origin event that kicked off the entire franchise — the game follows a younger Marcus Fenix in civilian clothes, before the armor, before the COG. Street-level combat, squad dynamics, and all the chainsaw-bayonet energy the series is known for. An E-Day Direct followed the main showcase with a deeper look at story, gameplay systems, and developer commentary.

Release date: October 6, 2026. Xbox console exclusive (Xbox Series X|S and PC only). Day One on Game Pass. Pre-ordering locks in early access to the Open Beta starting August 6, 2026.

Clockwork Revolution — 2027 (Xbox Console Exclusive)

inXile Entertainment’s steampunk action-RPG got a new trailer with new character reveals and a 2027 release window — and the major news was the Xbox console exclusive confirmation. Built by Fallout veterans, Clockwork Revolution leans hard into BioShock Infinite territory with time manipulation mechanics, a Victorian steampunk world, and a sharp RPG foundation. No PS5 version. Day One on Game Pass.

    Xbox’s Big Three First-Party Franchises

    Fable — February 23, 2027

Playground Games brought a new story trailer narrated by Isabel — the Hero of Wraithmarsh and the game’s main villain, voiced by Hayley Atwell. Yes, Peggy Carter herself is the big bad of Fable, and the trailer made it look excellent. Fable was delayed out of its earlier 2026 window, but the February 23, 2027 date is now locked in. Day One on Game Pass, also coming to PS5.

    Halo: Campaign Evolved — July 28, 2026

This is more than a remaster — it’s a full rebuild of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign in high-definition with updated cinematics, refined controls, new weapons, vehicles, enemies, and optional Skull modifiers. The big addition: three brand-new missions set before the events of the original game, narrated and starring Sergeant Johnson. These are entirely new story content exclusive to this release. Launches July 28, 2026, with up to five days of early access starting July 23 for pre-orders. Day One on Game Pass. Also coming to PS5.

    State of Decay 3 — 2027

After years of minimal updates and closed alpha playtests, State of Decay 3 finally got a proper gameplay reveal at the showcase. The zombie survival sequel is targeting a 2027 launch on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5. Day One on Game Pass.

    World Premiere Reveals

    senua 1
    senua 1

    Senua — 2027

Ninja Theory dropped the biggest surprise of the whole show. Simply titled Senua, this is the third game in the Hellblade universe — but not Hellblade 3. It’s a full action-adventure with expanded combat, multi-enemy encounters, dual-wielding, stealth, verticality, and a world roughly twice the size of Hellblade 2. Set in Senua’s vision of purgatory, it’s a standalone experience that works for newcomers and veterans alike. The entire 85-person Ninja Theory studio is on this one. Day One on Game Pass, also on PS5 and Steam. Check out our full Senua reveal breakdown for everything confirmed.

    Spyro: A Realm Beyond — Spring 2027

Toys for Bob is bringing Spyro back for the first time in 18 years. Spyro: A Realm Beyond is a world premiere reveal targeting Spring 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Day One on Game Pass.

Persona 6 — TBA (Day One on Game Pass)

    Persona 6 Featured

Atlus and Sega ended over a decade of waiting with an 84-second teaser — a green-tinted, cemetery-drenched atmosphere that sets a dramatically darker tone than Persona 5. No release date confirmed, but leakers are pointing to September 2027. Confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5, and Day One on Game Pass. Read our full Persona 6 announcement breakdown for all the details.

DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations — July 7, 2026

The first major expansion for DOOM: The Dark Ages got a full world premiere reveal. The Doom Slayer is wounded and betrayed, thrust into a purgatory built from his own mind, and forced to fight his way out with a mysterious new ally. New weapon: the Chain Spear — throwable, parry-capable, melee-viable. New levels, new demons, deeper puzzles. Free Ripatorium 3.0 update for all players on the same day. $19.99 standalone, free for Premium Edition owners. Full breakdown in our DOOM Revelations DLC article.

    Metro 2039 — February 2027

4A Games’ next Metro entry got a full gameplay reveal trailer with in-engine footage. Set in a post-apocalyptic Moscow overrun by Nazis, the first gameplay trailer showed off the signature tense, atmospheric shooting the series is known for. Releasing February 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember — Early 2027

Koei Tecmo confirmed a sequel to the acclaimed soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is targeting early 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Day One on Game Pass.

    Magicians: The Devil’s Deal — 2027

One of the surprise highlights of the show. You play as Jacob, a fallen stage magician bound by a pact with the Devil, wielding magical abilities with BioShock-like combat energy. Set in a dark Napoleonic atmosphere with evolving powers tied to illusion and consequence. Heading to Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2027. Day One on Game Pass with Xbox Play Anywhere.
