Overview
Jinhsi is a 5-Star Spectro Broadblade Main DPS and the Magistrate of Jinzhou, introduced in Version 1.1. She remains one of the strongest Main DPS characters in Wuthering Waves through Version 3.1, delivering elite single-target and multi-target burst damage through a two-phase combat loop: a standard entry phase building Incandescence stacks, followed by the devastating Incarnation state that unlocks her most powerful attacks. Her Forte Circuit system governs the transition between her normal and enhanced forms, and the critical mechanic of her kit is the Unison swap — a unique ability to trigger both Outro and Intro Skills simultaneously without spending Concerto Energy.
Her defining nuke is Illuminous Epiphany — the final variation of her Resonance Skill, triggered in Incarnation state after completing a 4-stage Basic Attack chain. This single hit deals massive Spectro DMG amplified by all 50 Incandescence stacks she has accumulated, with each stack adding +22.4% bonus DMG multiplier. At max stacks, this translates to a +1,120% additional multiplier on top of the base hit — making it one of the highest single-hit damage values in the entire game. Forte Circuit accounts for approximately 74% of her total rotation damage.
The unique constraint of Jinhsi’s kit is her heavy dependence on Coordinated Attack teammates. Characters like Zhezhi, Yinlin, Mortefi, and Yuanwu apply Coordinated Attacks that grant Jinhsi 3 Incandescence every 3 seconds — versus only 1 stack from regular attribute damage. Without a Coordinated Attack partner, she cannot consistently fill the gauge to max before Illuminous Epiphany fires. Her inherent Skill 1 Radiant Surge grants a permanent +20% Spectro DMG Bonus, and Inherent Skill 2 boosts her Intro Skill DMG by 50% — both passive and always active once unlocked.
✨ Core Kit — Incarnation, Incandescence, Illuminous Epiphany & Unison
- Max 50 Incandescence — generated by any ally dealing Attribute DMG (+1 per 3s) or Coordinated Attacks (+3 per 3s)
- Coordinated Attack partners are mandatory to fill the gauge before Illuminous Epiphany fires
- Each Incandescence consumed by Illuminous Epiphany adds +22.4% DMG multiplier — max stacks = +1,120% bonus
- At S2: starts combat with full gauge after 4s out of combat — crucial for ToA first-rotation burst
- Enter via Overflowing Radiance (RS after BA4 or Intro Skill) — replaces all Basic Attacks with enhanced Spectro hits (classified as RS DMG)
- Incarnation BA4 completes → Jinhsi gains Ordination Glow — RS slot becomes Illuminous Epiphany
- Also unlocks: Crescent Divinity (RS2), Incarnation Heavy/Dodge Counter — all deal Spectro DMG classified as Resonance Skill DMG
- Inherent Skill 1 active during Incarnation: flat +20% Spectro DMG Bonus to all Spectro damage
- Solar Flare: 10%×6 + Stella Glamor: 175% base — consumes all 50 Incandescence for +22.4%×50 = +1,120% bonus multiplier
- Accounts for ~74% of total rotation damage — always ensure full gauge before firing
- Use Jué Echo before casting — grants +16% RS DMG Bonus for 15s, directly amplifying Stella Glamor
- After firing: Jinhsi gains Unison — triggers free Outro + incoming Intro Skill without consuming Concerto Energy
- Unison replaces Concerto Energy for the next swap — Outro + Intro Skills fire without draining Concerto
- After swap: play Sub-DPS optimal combo to regenerate Concerto, then switch back to Jinhsi for her Intro Skill
- With full Concerto before Unison is consumed: chain 3 consecutive Intro Skills (Outro → Intro → Outro → Intro) in one rotation
- Outro Skill Temporal Bender: grants Eras in Unity to all team members — triples Incandescence gain rate for 20s after swap
Strengths & Weaknesses
✓ Strengths
- ✓ Illuminous Epiphany at full stacks is one of the highest single-hit damage values in the game — +1,120% bonus multiplier on the Stella Glamor nuke creates explosive burst windows unmatched by most limited DPS units
- ✓ Inherent +20% Spectro DMG Bonus built into her passive — one of the highest innate element buffs in the game; reduces the need to stack Spectro DMG on echoes compared to other DPS characters
- ✓ Unison quick-swap is one of the most efficient energy mechanics in the game — triggering Outro + Intro without spending Concerto Energy enables chained team buffs and very high DPS uptime during the Sub-DPS swap phase
- ✓ S4 provides the whole team with +20% Attribute DMG Bonus for 20s whenever she fires Illuminous Epiphany or Liberation — excellent team-wide support sequencing for players with multiple invested carries
- ✓ Excellent in both single-target boss fights and AoE multi-enemy encounters — Resonance Liberation (Purge of Light: 251% + 586%) is a strong AoE burst that serves as secondary damage when Illuminous Epiphany is on cooldown
✗ Weaknesses
- ✗ Heavily dependent on Coordinated Attack teammates — without Zhezhi, Yinlin, Mortefi, or Yuanwu, her Incandescence gauge fills at only 1/3 the optimal rate; Illuminous Epiphany fires at much lower stack counts, gutting her DPS
- ✗ No dedicated Spectro Broadblade support exists in the game — Ages of Harvest is the only weapon that directly buffs her Resonance Skill DMG, creating a significant signature dependency compared to many other 5-Stars
- ✗ Enemy movement breaks the combo chain — if an enemy moves or becomes airborne mid-Incarnation BA4 chain, she misses the Ordination Glow window, delaying Illuminous Epiphany by a full cycle and costing significant DPS
- ✗ The Incarnation BA4 chain (4 consecutive enhanced attacks) requires enemies to be stationary or grouped — pairing with a grouping character like Ciaccona or Yangyang is highly recommended for multi-target content
- ✗ Rotation is more mechanically complex than most DPS characters — managing the BA4 → Overflowing Radiance → Incarnation BA4 → Ordination Glow → Illuminous Epiphany chain under pressure requires practice and enemies being in close proximity throughout
Skill Leveling Priority
| Priority | Skill | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| ★★★★★ 1st | Forte Circuit — Lv.10 | Controls Incarnation, Ordination Glow, Crescent Divinity, and Illuminous Epiphany — the combined damage of these is ~74% of her total rotation. Every level directly increases Stella Glamor base multiplier and Incandescence bonus per stack. Absolute top priority. |
| ★★★★★ 2nd | Resonance Skill — Lv.10 | Controls Overflowing Radiance (RS1 — entry into Incarnation, 4.96%×4 + 14.88%×4 + 19.84%) and Crescent Divinity (RS2 during Incarnation). Both are used every rotation. Scales significant on-field damage — upgrade alongside Forte Circuit |
| ★★★ 3rd | Resonance Liberation — Lv.8+ | Purge of Light (251.4% + 586.6% at Lv.1) — approximately 18% of total damage. Secondary burst used when available every ~24s. Worth leveling to 8–10 after Forte and Resonance Skill are maxed as the next biggest damage contribution |
| ★★★ 4th | Intro Skill — Lv.6+ | Loong’s Halo (80% at Lv.1) — Inherent Skill 2 boosts Intro Skill DMG by 50%, making it a meaningful hit. Triggered via Unison swap every rotation. Level to 6–8 after Forte/Skill/Liberation are upgraded |
| ★ Last | Normal Attack — Lv.1–4 | Normal attacks (Stage 1: 33.43%, Stage 4: 31.74%+47.60%) are weak individually and are used only to build Forte and unlock Overflowing Radiance. Incarnation BA4 counts as RS DMG, not NA DMG — Normal Attack level barely scales damage. Leave for last |
Best Weapons
| Rank | Weapon | Rarity | Performance | Key Passive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ages of Harvest | 5★ Sig | 100% — BiS | 587 ATK + 24.3% Crit Rate. +12% All Attribute DMG Bonus. Intro Skill cast → +24% RS DMG Bonus for 12s; Resonance Skill cast → +24% RS DMG Bonus for 12s (independent timers — total +48% RS DMG when both active). Perfectly tailored to her rotation |
| 2 | Verdant Summit | 5★ | 86.8% | 587 ATK + 48.6% Crit DMG. +12% All Attribute DMG Bonus. Intro Skill / Liberation → +48% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus (×2 stacks for 14s). Strong Crit DMG stat reduces echo sub-stat pressure. Best premium alternative |
| 3 | Lustrous Razor | 5★ Standard | 81.9% | 587 ATK + 36.4% ATK. +12.8% Energy Regen + RS cast → +7% Lib DMG (×3 stacks for 12s = +21%). Energy Regen stat ensures every-rotation Liberation (150 cost). Best non-limited 5-Star option |
| 4 | Helios Cleaver | 4★ | 70.8% | 412 ATK + 30.3% ATK. Post RS cast → +3% ATK per 2s for 12s (×4 stacks = +12% ATK total). Simple and consistent; always active given her frequent RS use in rotation. Good 4★ choice |
| 5 | Autumntrace | 4★ | 68.1% | 412 ATK + 20.2% Crit Rate. BA/HA hit → +4% ATK (×5 stacks = +20% ATK for 7s). Crit Rate stat helps offset echo building requirements. Decent if Helios is unavailable |
| F2P | Broadblade of Night | 4★ Free | Chest Reward | 325 ATK + 24.3% ATK. Intro Skill cast → +8% ATK for 10s. Free from open-world chests — Jinhsi triggers the Intro Skill every rotation via Unison swap, guaranteeing uptime. Best zero-cost weapon for new players |
⚡ Weapon Note — Ages of Harvest is specifically designed around Jinhsi’s rotation (Intro Skill → RS chain) and provides +48% RS DMG Bonus when both passive stacks are active — a buff no other Broadblade can match. If you are an invested Jinhsi player, R1 Ages of Harvest is strongly recommended. For casual play, Lustrous Razor (standard pull) is close enough in performance at 81.9% and solves the Energy Regen challenge from her 150-cost Liberation simultaneously.
Best Echo Sets
Celestial Light (5-PC)
2-PC: +10% Spectro DMG Bonus. 5-PC: After using Intro Skill, gain +10% Spectro DMG Bonus for 15s. Since Jinhsi triggers Intro Skill every rotation via Unison, the 5-PC bonus has near-100% uptime — total +20% Spectro DMG from the set alone, stacking on her innate +20% Spectro DMG Inherent Skill for a combined +40% Spectro advantage.
Main Echo: Jué — Use Echo Skill before Illuminous Epiphany. Grants +16% RS DMG Bonus for 15s + Spectro DoT on hit that generates additional Incandescence stacks (~12 per round). Approximately 20% more effective than Mourning Aix as the main echo for Jinhsi.
Lingering Tunes (5-PC)
2-PC: +10% ATK. 5-PC: Using any skill grants stacking ATK% bonus. Max stacks = +25% ATK and +12% All Attribute DMG Bonus — activates fully during her rotation. Less Spectro-specific but competitive with good sub-stats.
Main Echo: Mech Abomination — Increases ATK when swapping in; works naturally with Jinhsi’s constant on-field presence. Use if Jué is unavailable or if farming Lingering Tunes pieces with better sub-stats than Celestial Light alternatives.
Celestial Light (2-PC) + Lingering Tunes (2-PC)
+10% Spectro DMG Bonus + +10% ATK — simple +2-PC split for early game while farming full Celestial Light pieces. Good transitional option that beats most randomly-selected 5-PC sets with poor sub-stats. Main Echo should still be Jué at all stages. Switch to 5-PC Celestial Light as soon as farming allows.
Echo Main Stats & Sub-Stats
Main Stats — 4-3-3-1-1
- 4-Cost: Crit Rate (if under 80%) or Crit DMG (if using Ages of Harvest — already provides Crit Rate)
- 3-Cost ×2: Spectro DMG Bonus (both) — or 1× Spectro + 1× ATK% if using Mortefi S6 (marginal difference)
- 1-Cost ×2: ATK%
Sub-Stat Priority
- Crit Rate ★★★★★ — Target 75–85%+
- Crit DMG ★★★★★ — Target 220–260%+
- Energy Regen ★★★ — 120%+ minimum for consistent Liberation
- Resonance Skill DMG Bonus ★★★ — Directly amplifies Illuminous Epiphany; take over ATK% when available
- ATK% ★★ — Filler stat; useful but lower priority than RS DMG Bonus
🎯 Target Endgame Stats
Optimal Rotation
›
Jué Echo Skill (+16% RS DMG)
›
RS1 — Overflowing Radiance (enter Incarnation)
›
RS2 — Crescent Divinity
›
Incarnation BA ×4 (fill Forte gauge!)
›
⚡ Liberation if available (Purge of Light)
›
RS3 — Illuminous Epiphany (NUKE — 50 Incandescence)
›
🔄 Unison Swap → Sub-DPS combo → Return to Jinhsi
Critical rules: 1) Always use Jué BEFORE RS1 — its +16% RS DMG Bonus lasts 15s and covers Illuminous Epiphany. 2) Do NOT fire Illuminous Epiphany unless your Forte gauge is full or near-full (40+ stacks) — firing early loses the bulk of the damage multiplier. 3) Use Liberation BEFORE RS3 (Illuminous Epiphany) when available — Liberation casts first, then Jinhsi still retains Ordination Glow to fire Illuminous Epiphany in the same burst window. 4) After Unison swap: play Sub-DPS full optimal combo to regenerate Concerto, then switch back for Jinhsi’s Intro Skill to begin the next rotation.
Best Team Compositions
★ Premium — Zhezhi + Shorekeeper
Best premium team. Zhezhi’s Outro Skill amplifies Jinhsi’s RS DMG, her Inklit Spirits provide AoE Coordinated Attacks filling Incandescence fastest in any team. Shorekeeper’s Crit buff and Liberation field stack directly with Jinhsi’s burst window. Best for Tower of Adversity S-rank clears.
⚡ Electro — Yinlin + Verina
Classic early-meta team, still very strong. Yinlin’s 1s Coordinated Attack cooldown matches Incandescence’s 3s cooldown perfectly — fires 3 stacks every 3 seconds. Best in AoE multi-enemy content. Yinlin also regenerates Concerto fast, enabling clean Unison swap cycles.
🌩️ F2P — Yuanwu + Baizhi
Fully F2P accessible team. Yuanwu’s Thunder Wedge fires Coordinated Attacks passively after RS cast; place Jinhsi within range for Incandescence. Baizhi at S4 provides 18 Incandescence per Liberation cast. Yuanwu’s Outro also weakens enemy Vibration Strength. Viable for most content.
✅ Skill Deepen — Taoqi + Verina
Trade Incandescence stack speed for Taoqi’s Resonance Skill DMG deepen Outro, which directly amplifies Illuminous Epiphany. Slower gauge fill but Illuminous Epiphany hits harder per stack. Uses Taoqi’s Bell-borne Geochelone echo for team shield + DMG bonus. Good for players without Zhezhi or Yinlin.
Resonance Chain
| Node | Effect | DPS Gain | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| S1 | Incarnation BA and Crescent Divinity grant stacks of Herald of Revival (up to 4). Illuminous Epiphany consumes all stacks — each stack adds +20% Illuminous Epiphany DMG. Max 4 stacks = +80% bonus to the nuke hit. Stacks persist through off-field time | ~13.4% | ★★★★★ Amazing |
| S2 | Full Incandescence restore after 4s out of combat — starts Tower of Adversity with full 50-stack gauge for the first Illuminous Epiphany. Also provides significantly higher burst damage early in combat compared to S1. Diminishes over longer fights but invaluable for speed-clearing | +18.9% (1st burst) → ~8.6% sustained | ★★★★ Great |
| S3 | Intro Skill grants Immortal’s Descendancy — +25% ATK per stack (×2 stacks = +50% ATK for 20s). Near-permanent uptime since Jinhsi triggers Intro Skill every rotation via Unison. Compared to S2, provides ~18.8% increase | ~18.8% vs S2 | ★★★★ Great |
| S4 | Illuminous Epiphany or Liberation cast → all nearby Resonators gain +20% Attribute DMG Bonus for 20s. A team-wide buff that improves Sub-DPS and Support contribution — adds ~6.3% to Jinhsi’s personal damage but meaningful for team DPS | ~6.3% personal | ★★★ Good Team |
| S5 | +120% Resonance Liberation DMG multiplier — triples Purge of Light’s effective multiplier (251.4% → ~553% + 586.6% → ~1,290%). Liberation becomes a secondary high-damage attack rather than a filler burst; ~15.4% total damage increase | ~15.4% | ★★★★★ Amazing |
| S6 | Illuminous Epiphany DMG multiplier +45%; Incandescence bonus per stack +45% — total final calculation: Solar Flare ×1.45 + Stella Glamor ×1.45 + Incandescence multi × stacks × 1.45. Provides approximately +22.3% damage increase and makes Illuminous Epiphany an even more devastating single hit | ~22.3% | ★★★★★ Maximum |
Pulling Recommendation — Expert consensus: S0R1 → S3R1 → S6R1 are the recommended investment milestones. S0R1 is the baseline for competitive play. S2R1 is worth considering if you value open-world quality-of-life and ToA first-rotation burst consistency. S3R1 is the best general stopping point — the +50% ATK buff on Intro Skill stacks creates a massive and near-permanent personal DPS boost. S6R1 is for fully dedicated Jinhsi players seeking maximum performance.
