Ciaccona Overview: Who Is She in Wuthering Waves?
Ciaccona is a 5-star Aero Pistol resonator and the wandering bard of Rinascita. She debuted in Version 2.3 and immediately carved out a niche that no other character in Wuthering Waves fills quite the same way. Her kit is built around applying and amplifying two different negative status effects — Aero Erosion and Spectro Frazzle — on enemies, and doing it off-field while her teammates deal damage.
What makes Ciaccona special is her Resonance Liberation, Singer’s Triple Cadenza. When she activates it, she enters a concert state where pressing attack buttons to the rhythm applies stacks of Aero Erosion or Spectro Frazzle. But here is the key part: she can swap to another character mid-concert and her clones stay on the field, continuing to perform and apply debuffs without any input. That off-field utility is what earns her a spot in top-tier team compositions.
She is the best Aero Erosion applicator in the game. Her Outro Skill amplifies Aero Erosion damage dealt to enemies by 100%, which directly powers up Aero Rover and characters like Cartethyia. And her Spectro Frazzle application makes her useful in Frazzle-focused lineups with Phoebe and Zani as well. Few supports in the game are this genuinely cross-team flexible.
Ciaccona Kit Breakdown: Musical Essence, Singer’s Triple Cadenza, and Tonics Explained
Ciaccona’s kit has some unique mechanics that are easy to misunderstand. Here is a clear breakdown before you build her.
Musical Essence: Her Forte Resource
Ciaccona can hold up to 3 segments of Musical Essence. She gains one segment by completing Basic Attack Stage 4 or using her Intro Skill. When she has all 3 segments, her Heavy Attack transforms into Heavy Attack: Quadruple Downbeat. This enhanced Heavy Attack launches a volley of Downbeat Notes forward that deal Aero damage and — critically — pull enemies toward the center. This crowd control is one of the best in the game for grouping enemies before your main DPS attacks. The attack also applies 1 stack of Aero Erosion to every target hit.
Resonance Skill: Harmonic Allegro (Two Variations)
Ciaccona’s Resonance Skill fires Ensemble Sylphs at the enemy. What makes it interesting is that the Tonic it generates depends on your input:
- Green Tonic (default / no extra input): Deals Aero DMG and applies 1 stack of Aero Erosion.
- Yellow Tonic (hold input): Deals Aero DMG and applies 1 stack of Spectro Frazzle.
This input choice gives you control over which debuff you are prioritizing in the current rotation — Aero Erosion for Aero teams, Spectro Frazzle for Frazzle teams.
Singer’s Triple Cadenza: The Concert Liberation
Ciaccona’s Resonance Liberation is her most iconic skill. When cast, she enters Recital mode and begins performing. During the performance, two types of note indicators appear on screen. Pressing the corresponding button (attack for green, or the alt input for yellow) as the sound waves overlap the circle indicators produces either a Green Tonic (Aero Erosion) or a Yellow Tonic (Spectro Frazzle).
Each tonic deals Aero DMG and applies the relevant debuff stack. The more tonics you hit, the more debuff stacks accumulate on the enemy. But here is the biggest feature: you can swap characters mid-performance. Ciaccona’s clone stays on field and continues the performance automatically, applying tonics and debuffs even while you play a different character. This is what makes her a true off-field DPS support.
Additionally, casting Singer’s Triple Cadenza grants Ciaccona a shield equal to 100% of her Max HP for 4 seconds and gives the entire team an Aero DMG Bonus buff for the duration of the concert. This team-wide buff is what ties her into Aero team compositions.
Outro Skill: Aero Erosion Amplification
When Ciaccona swaps out with full Concerto Energy, her Outro Skill activates and increases Aero Erosion DMG dealt to nearby enemies by 100% for a duration. This is the core reason to run her in Aero Erosion teams with Aero Rover — every Aero Erosion tick on the enemy doubles in damage during this window.
Inherent Passives Worth Knowing
- Ciaccona’s Resonance Skill restores Resonance Energy on cast, helping her maintain Liberation uptime without needing heavy Energy Regen stat investment.
- Her kit is designed to work well at S0. Most of her core utility — dual debuff application, off-field clone, Outro amplification — is available without any Resonance Chain nodes.
Best Ciaccona Weapons in Wuthering Waves
Ciaccona uses Pistols. Her best weapons amplify her Aero DMG and debuff application capabilities.
1. Woodland Aria (5-Star Signature) – Best in Slot
Ciaccona’s signature weapon and her undisputed best-in-slot. It provides a Crit Rate substat and 12% ATK. Its passive grants 24% Aero DMG Bonus for 10 seconds every time she inflicts Aero Erosion on an enemy, and reduces the enemy’s Aero Resistance by 10% for 20 seconds. The Aero RES shred is especially powerful — resistance reduction is a multiplicative damage amplifier that benefits every Aero damage source on your team, not just Ciaccona. In Aero teams, this weapon alone is worth a significant share of team DPS. Highly recommended if you plan to use her long-term.
2. The Last Dance (5-Star, Carlotta’s Signature)
A strong alternative 5-star Pistol. It increases ATK by 12% and grants a 48% Resonance Skill DMG Bonus after casting Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation. Since Ciaccona fires both frequently in her rotation, this passive stays active and pushes her personal damage output significantly. Roughly 20–25% below Woodland Aria in Aero Erosion teams but decent if you already own it.
3. Static Mist (5-Star, Standard Banner)
A standard banner 5-star that provides Energy Regen and boosts the incoming resonator’s ATK by 10% when Ciaccona uses her Outro Skill. Solid utility weapon that helps with Liberation uptime and gives a passive ATK buff to your main DPS on entry. A workable option if you lack the top two.
4. Romance in Farewell (4-Star, Craftable) – Best F2P Option
This is the best free weapon for Ciaccona by a significant margin. It increases ATK by 8% (stacking up to 4 times) whenever she deals damage to enemies affected by Negative Statuses. Since Ciaccona constantly keeps Aero Erosion or Spectro Frazzle on enemies, this passive is almost always at maximum stacks during her field time. Easy to craft and very effective for F2P players.
5. Relativist (4-Star)
Casting Resonance Skill grants 10 Resonance Energy and increases ATK by 20% for 16 seconds. Useful for maintaining Liberation uptime in early game builds where Energy Regen substats may be limited.
Best Ciaccona Echo Sets in Wuthering Waves
Ciaccona has two distinct build paths depending on her team: an Aero Erosion-focused setup and a general utility support setup. The best set changes with each.
Gusts of Welkin (5-Piece) – Best for Aero Teams
This is Ciaccona’s best echo set in Aero-focused compositions. The 2-piece bonus gives a flat 10% Aero DMG Bonus. The 5-piece effect is what matters: whenever Ciaccona inflicts Aero Erosion on an enemy, all teammates gain a 15% Aero DMG Bonus, and Ciaccona herself gains an additional 15% Aero DMG Bonus (30% total for her), lasting 20 seconds. Since she applies Aero Erosion constantly through her Resonance Skill, Liberation tonics, and Heavy Attack, this buff is almost permanently active in Aero team fights. Pair this with Woodland Aria’s Aero RES shred and you have a massive team damage amplification package.
Moonlit Clouds (5-Piece) – Best for General / Spectro Teams
For teams where Aero Erosion is not the primary focus (Spectro Frazzle setups, or teams using Ciaccona purely for Frazzle application), Moonlit Clouds is the better choice. The 5-piece bonus increases the next resonator’s ATK by 22.5% for 15 seconds after Ciaccona uses her Outro Skill. This general ATK buff works for any DPS regardless of element, making it more flexible than Gusts of Welkin in non-Aero lineups.
Early Game: 2-Piece Lingering Tunes + 2-Piece Gusts of Welkin
If you are still farming for a complete 5-piece set, combining 2 pieces of each gives you both Energy Regen (Lingering Tunes 2-piece) and 10% Aero DMG Bonus (Gusts of Welkin 2-piece). A perfectly usable transitional setup.

Best Main Echo for Ciaccona
Reminiscence: Fleurdelys – Best for Gusts of Welkin (Aero Build)
Reminiscence: Fleurdelys is Ciaccona’s best main echo in Aero teams. Equipped in the main slot, it provides a 10% Aero DMG Bonus. On use, it summons a Windcleaver that attacks targets 8 times for Aero DMG, then one final heavy Aero hit. All these hits apply off-field Aero damage and can trigger Aero Erosion interactions. The 10% Aero DMG Bonus is unconditional, making it reliable in every fight.
Impermanence Heron – Best for Moonlit Clouds (Support Build)
If running the Moonlit Clouds set, Impermanence Heron is the right main echo. It buffs the next character’s DMG on swap and generates additional Resonance Energy for the team. Pairs naturally with Ciaccona’s Outro Skill utility role in non-Aero teams.
Best Echo Stats and Sub-Stats for Ciaccona
Ciaccona’s personal damage scales with ATK and Crit, and her debuff utility comes from skill usage rather than stat scaling. Her Energy Regen needs are largely covered by her Resonance Skill passive, so you do not need to heavily invest in it through echoes.
Main Stats Priority
- Cost 4 Echo: Crit Rate (if using Woodland Aria’s Crit Rate substat, switch to Crit DMG)
- Cost 3 Echoes: Aero DMG Bonus
- Cost 1 Echoes: ATK%
Recommended Echo Distribution
Use a 4-3-3-1-1 pattern. Two Cost-3 Aero DMG Bonus echoes outperform a second Cost-4 echo in most scenarios. If you cannot get two good Cost-3 Aero DMG pieces, run 4-4-1-1-1 with both Cost-4 Echoes having Crit stats.
Sub-Stats Priority
- Crit Rate (aim for 70–80%)
- Crit DMG
- ATK%
- Energy Regeneration (as needed to keep Liberation on cooldown — usually 120–130%)
- Flat ATK
If you have Woodland Aria equipped, its Crit Rate substat covers a large portion of your Crit Rate target, freeing up your Cost-4 echo slot for Crit DMG instead. Adjust accordingly.
Ciaccona Skill Priority
Ciaccona’s damage comes primarily from her Liberation, with Basic Attack close behind due to the Quadruple Downbeat and tonic outputs.
- Resonance Liberation (Top Priority) — Singer’s Triple Cadenza is Ciaccona’s biggest source of both damage and debuff application. Its tonic output scales with Liberation level, and the Aero DMG bonus it grants the team also scales. Level this first.
- Basic Attack — Ciaccona’s Basic Attack sequence feeds Musical Essence and her Basic Attack Stage 4 applies debuffs directly. Upgrading it increases the damage multipliers on both her normal attacks and the Quadruple Downbeat Heavy Attack. Second priority.
- Forte Circuit — The Heavy Attack: Quadruple Downbeat falls under Forte Circuit. Its crowd-pull and Aero Erosion application are central to her role, so upgrade this after the top two.
- Resonance Skill — Harmonic Allegro deals moderate damage and applies one tonic per cast. Upgrade after the above skills.
- Intro Skill — Lowest priority. Generates Musical Essence and deals some damage on entry, but contributes the least to her overall performance.
Best Ciaccona Teams in Wuthering Waves
Ciaccona’s best teams are built around maximizing either Aero Erosion or Spectro Frazzle. She is the bridge between both systems.
Team 1 (Best): Ciaccona + Jiyan + Aero Rover
This is the premier Aero Erosion team. Jiyan is the main Aero DPS, dealing repeated Heavy Attack damage that benefits from every layer of Aero amplification. Ciaccona applies Aero Erosion constantly through her Liberation clones and Resonance Skill, stacking debuffs while off-field. Aero Rover extends the maximum Aero Erosion stack cap via their Outro Skill and provides team healing. Ciaccona’s Outro doubles Aero Erosion damage before Jiyan’s burst windows. All three benefit from Woodland Aria’s Aero RES shred. Extremely strong team.
Team 2: Ciaccona + Cartethyia + Aero Rover/Shorekeeper
Cartethyia is a character who deals damage based on Aero Erosion stacks on enemies. Ciaccona loads the stacks fast and doubles the Erosion damage with her Outro. Aero Rover extends the stack cap and heals. This is the most optimized Aero Erosion burst team in the game and one where Ciaccona is genuinely irreplaceable.
Team 3: Ciaccona + Phoebe + Shorekeeper
Phoebe deals heavy damage through Spectro Frazzle stacks and detonations. Ciaccona provides Yellow Tonics during her Liberation to add Spectro Frazzle stacks quickly off-field, supplementing Phoebe’s own application. Shorekeeper provides Crit buffs and team healing. A strong alternative team for players who own Phoebe and want to push her Frazzle mechanic further.
Team 4: Ciaccona + Zani + Shorekeeper/Verina
Zani deals devastating damage during Inferno Mode, and Spectro Frazzle stacks amplify her Sunburst Mode output. Ciaccona’s Yellow Tonics apply Frazzle off-field while Zani takes advantage on-field. Verina handles healing and the team-wide DMG Deepen buff. A powerful Frazzle team that uses Ciaccona’s flexibility to bridge into a Spectro DPS lineup.
Team 5 (Budget): Ciaccona + Jiyan + Verina
If you do not have Aero Rover, Verina is a strong stand-in support. Jiyan deals Aero DPS, Ciaccona applies Erosion and Aero RES shred, Verina heals and buffs with All-Type DMG Deepen. Slightly less Erosion synergy than the Aero Rover version, but very functional for Tower of Adversity.
Ciaccona Rotation Guide
Ciaccona’s rotation centers on triggering Singer’s Triple Cadenza, participating in the concert rhythm mini-game, then swapping out to let her clone continue performing while your main DPS takes over.
Standard Ciaccona Rotation
- Enter on Ciaccona with Intro Skill to immediately gain 1 Musical Essence and apply debuffs on entry.
- Use Resonance Skill (Harmonic Allegro) to apply a Green Tonic (Aero Erosion) or Yellow Tonic (Spectro Frazzle) depending on your team. Also generates Resonance Energy.
- Complete Basic Attack Stages 1–4. Stage 4 gives another Musical Essence. Doing this twice gives you all 3 Musical Essence segments.
- With 3 Musical Essence, use Heavy Attack: Quadruple Downbeat to pull enemies together and apply Aero Erosion to all grouped targets. This is excellent before your main DPS enters.
- Cast Resonance Liberation (Singer’s Triple Cadenza) when available. During the concert rhythm phase, hit the green or yellow indicators to generate tonics and stack Aero Erosion or Spectro Frazzle on enemies. Hit as many as you can.
- Swap to your main DPS once Concerto Energy is full (or after a few tonic hits if time is critical). Ciaccona’s clone continues the concert off-field. This triggers her Outro Skill which doubles Aero Erosion damage.
- Activate Echo Skill (Reminiscence: Fleurdelys) ideally just before or during the DPS window for maximum Aero DMG bonus uptime.
- Your main DPS deals damage while Ciaccona’s clone continues stacking debuffs in the background. Return to Ciaccona when the rotation resets.
Pro tip: You do not need to stay on Ciaccona for the entire concert. Swap out after a few tonic hits — enough to apply several stacks — and let the clone do the rest. The sooner your main DPS enters with Ciaccona’s Outro active, the more damage they deal during the doubled Aero Erosion window.
Ciaccona Resonance Chain: Is It Worth Pulling Dupes?
Ciaccona is a limited 5-star. Here is how her Resonance Chain nodes work:
- S1: Gives Ciaccona’s Resonance Skill an additional hit and increases the duration of the Aero DMG Bonus from Singer’s Triple Cadenza. The extra hit adds moderate personal damage but does not drastically change her support value.
- S2: Singer’s Triple Cadenza now also grants the whole team a 15% Aero DMG Bonus buff. This is a significant upgrade that increases team damage in Aero compositions. Strong enough that it becomes a meaningful pull target for dedicated Ciaccona users.
- S3 and beyond: Further multiplier increases and quality-of-life improvements. High-end investment that is not needed for most players.
S0 Ciaccona is excellent and handles her core role fully. S2 is a notable step up for Aero teams but far from required. If you enjoy her playstyle, pulling one or two extra copies is rewarding — otherwise, S0 is completely sufficient for all endgame content.
Ciaccona Ascension and Forte Materials
Here is everything you need to fully level and upgrade Ciaccona.
Ascension Materials (Character Level 1 to 90)

Ciaccona Tips and Common Mistakes
- Choose your tonic type based on your team. Green Tonics apply Aero Erosion — use them in Aero teams. Yellow Tonics apply Spectro Frazzle — use them in Frazzle teams. Mixing them randomly gives you mediocre stacks of both instead of strong stacks of the right one.
- Swap out during the concert, not after it ends. Ciaccona’s clone continues the performance after she leaves the field. You lose time and damage by staying on her for the full concert. Swap to your DPS once Concerto is full and let the clone handle the rest.
- Use Quadruple Downbeat before your DPS enters. The crowd-pull gathers enemies together so your main DPS’s AoE attacks hit more targets. Time it so the pull lands just before you swap.
- Do not neglect her Resonance Liberation uptime. Her Liberation is her most important skill. Energy Regen substats and smart rotation timing matter here. Aim for ~120–130% Energy Regen to maintain consistent Liberation casts each rotation.
- Always trigger the Outro Skill before Jiyan or Cartethyia’s damage window. The 100% Aero Erosion DMG amplification from her Outro is the core reason she is in Aero teams. Swapping out after a Basic Attack combo without full Concerto wastes this buff entirely.
- You may need two echo sets. Gusts of Welkin is only useful in Aero teams. For non-Aero lineups, Moonlit Clouds performs better. If you plan to use Ciaccona across multiple teams, farming both sets is worthwhile.
Is Ciaccona Worth Pulling in 2026?
Yes — with one condition. Ciaccona is worth pulling if you have or plan to build an Aero or Frazzle-focused team. She is the best Aero Erosion applicator in the game, her off-field clone is uniquely powerful, and her Outro doubles Aero Erosion damage for whoever follows her. In dedicated Aero teams with Jiyan, Aero Rover, or Cartethyia, she is irreplaceable and dramatically outperforms any substitute.
If you do not have Aero or Frazzle DPS characters, her value drops significantly. That is the honest tradeoff of her design — niche, but best-in-class within that niche. The Aero roster is growing with each patch, so investing in Ciaccona now is a long-term asset.
