How to Get the Electro-Mecha Spear in Crimson Desert

Find out exactly how to get the Electro-Mecha Spear in Crimson Desert. No boss fight needed — just head to Regent's Rise in Gorthak Territory and break through the wooden boards with Force Palm.

TL;DR

  • The Electro-Mecha Spear is found in a treasure chest at Regent’s Rise in Gorthak Territory, Delesyia
  • No boss fight required — it is a free chest pickup
  • Head north of the “L” in “Delesyia” on the map to find Regent’s Rise
  • Look for wooden boards on the south side of Regent’s Rise — use Force Palm to break them
  • Open the chest behind the boards to claim the spear
  • Stats: Attack 30, Movement Speed Lv 1, 5 lightning charges that reset every 5 seconds
  • Cannot be upgraded with refinement or Abyss Gears — what you see is what you get
  • It is in the same area as Marni’s Outpost where the Machina Knight boss is located

The Electro-Mecha Spear is one of the most interesting weapons you can find in Crimson Desert. It deals lightning damage on every hit, stunning enemies and bosses with each strike. Best of all — unlike its sibling the Electro-Mecha Longsword — you do not need to beat a boss to get it. It sits in a chest waiting for you, locked behind a breakable wooden panel.

The catch is that the chest is in Delesyia, the far eastern region of the map. Getting there takes some travel, but once you arrive, the spear is yours in under a minute.

What Is the Electro-Mecha Spear

The Electro-Mecha Spear is an Epic Two-Handed Spear in Crimson Desert. It was designed by Marni for use by the Machina Knight — a special device fitted to the blade makes it conduct electricity. Anyone struck by it takes spear damage plus shock damage from the electric charge.

Here are the weapon’s key stats:

  • Type: Two-Handed Spear (Epic)
  • Attack: 30
  • Bonus Stat: Movement Speed Lv 1
  • Lightning Charges: 5 (the first five attacks deal lightning damage)
  • Charge Reset: Every 5 seconds the charge counter refills
  • Upgradeable: No — cannot be refined or fitted with Abyss Gears

The 30 base attack is strong for a free-chest weapon. The lightning damage on the first five hits is great for building stun on tougher enemies and bosses. The Movement Speed Lv 1 bonus is a nice extra on top.

The only real limitation is that it is a fixed weapon. Because it cannot accept Abyss Gears or refinement upgrades, its attack will always stay at 30. For players planning long-term endgame builds, this caps its ceiling. But for mid-game content and anyone who wants a fun lightning spear without the grind, it punches well above its weight.

Where to Find the Electro-Mecha Spear

The spear is located at Regent’s Rise in Gorthak Territory, in the far eastern part of the Delesyia region.

How to find it on the map:

Look at the word “Delesyia” on your world map. Find the “L” in that name. Head directly north of that “L” to find the Regent’s Rise location in Gorthak Territory. The area is in the same broad zone as Marni’s Outpost — where the Machina Knight boss lives — but the chest is a separate location and does not require you to fight anything.

On the ground:

Once you arrive at Regent’s Rise, move to the south-facing side of the area. You are looking for a circular trench — look specifically below the ATAG platform. You will see a set of wooden boards with a faint glow coming from behind them. That glow is the treasure chest.

How to Get the Electro-Mecha Spear

Getting the spear is simple once you are at the right spot. Here is exactly what to do:

Step 1 — Travel to Regent’s Rise

Head to Gorthak Territory in the eastern part of Delesyia. If you have not uncovered this part of the map yet, ride east from the main Delesyia roads. The Regent’s Rise location sits north of the “L” in Delesyia on your world map.

Step 2 — Find the Wooden Boards

Move to the south side of Regent’s Rise. Look for the circular trench in the area and go to the section below the ATAG platform. You will find a wooden panel blocking a small alcove with a glowing treasure chest behind it.

Step 3 — Use Force Palm to Break the Boards

Face the wooden boards directly. Use Force Palm to smash through them.

  • PS5: R3 (press the right stick)
  • Xbox: Press the right stick
  • PC: The Force Palm key binding (check your settings)

The boards will break apart and open up access to the chest.

Step 4 — Open the Chest

Walk up to the treasure chest and open it. The Electro-Mecha Spear is automatically added to your inventory.

That is all there is to it. No enemies to fight, no quest prerequisite, no puzzle to solve.

How to Use the Electro-Mecha Spear

Once you have the spear, equip it from your inventory. You can also assign it to your quick slot to access it from your secondary weapon slot during combat.

Lightning Charge System

The spear has 5 lightning charges. Every attack you land consumes one charge and deals bonus lightning damage on top of your normal spear damage. Once you have used all 5 charges, the spear behaves like a standard spear until the charges reset.

Charges reset every 5 seconds. So you get a burst of 5 lightning hits, a brief 5-second wait, then another burst of 5. In longer fights this cycle repeats consistently, giving you a reliable source of lightning-based stun buildup throughout the encounter.

Stun and Crowd Control

Lightning damage in Crimson Desert builds a stun meter on enemies. Landing repeated lightning hits fills that meter faster. When it fills completely, the enemy is stunned and you get a free damage window. This makes the Electro-Mecha Spear particularly effective against bosses and tougher enemies where stun windows matter most.

Secondary Weapon Slot

You can slot the Electro-Mecha Spear into your secondary weapon slot rather than your main hand. This gives you the option to switch into it during a fight specifically for the lightning burst, then swap back to your primary weapon. It works well as a situational stun tool even if you prefer a different main weapon for general combat.

Electro-Mecha Spear vs Electro-Mecha Longsword

Both weapons share the same lightning mechanics and are made by Marni for the Machina Knight. Here is how they compare:

The Electro-Mecha Longsword has 27 Attack and Lightning Affinity on every hit — but you have to beat the Machina Knight boss at Marni’s Outpost to get it. The boss is a tough two-phase fight involving a longsword phase and a faster, more aggressive spear phase. It is challenging even for mid-game players.

The Electro-Mecha Spear has 30 Attack — three more than the longsword — plus Movement Speed Lv 1 as an additional stat bonus. You get it for free from a chest with zero combat required. The tradeoff is that the spear only deals lightning damage on the first 5 hits per reset, whereas the longsword deals lightning damage on every single hit continuously.

If you want the easier pickup with higher base attack, go for the spear. If you want the more consistent lightning application on every hit and do not mind a tough boss fight, the longsword is the better sustained lightning weapon.

Our guide on how to get the Electro-Mecha Longsword and beat the Machina Knight covers the full boss fight in detail if you want both.

Should You Get the Electro-Mecha Spear

Yes, if you are passing through Delesyia or farming the eastern region of the map. The spear is a free 30-Attack weapon that deals lightning damage and boosts movement speed. There is no fight standing between you and it.

The main reason to hold off is simply the travel time. Delesyia is in the far east of the map and if you are still in the early game, the journey itself may be more effort than it is worth at that stage. That said, the weapon is technically available from the moment you can reach the location — there are no prerequisites.

For earlier lightning options while you work toward this area, check out our guide on how to get the Necklace of Lightning for an accessory that adds lightning effects without requiring a weapon swap.

Tips Before You Go

  • Delesyia is a late-to-mid region — make sure your attack and defense levels are high enough to handle any enemies you encounter on the way
  • The wooden boards require Force Palm specifically — a regular attack will not break them
  • If you are in the Gorthak area anyway, Marni’s Outpost for the Machina Knight boss fight is close by — consider doing both in one trip
  • The Electro-Mecha Spear cannot be upgraded, so do not invest in trying to improve it through refinement — spend those resources on other weapons
  • Check out how to increase your attack level and defense level before heading east if you feel underleveled
