Destiny 2: All Armor Set Bonuses (Monument of Triumph Update)

    • Monument of Triumph (Update 9.7.0, June 9, 2026) added armor set bonuses to every armor set in the game via Armor 3.0.
    • Each set has a 2-piece bonus and a 4-piece bonus. Both are always passive — no activation needed.
    • You can run two different 2-piece bonuses at once alongside one Exotic armor piece, giving you flexibility without needing a full 4-piece commitment.
    • Alternatively, run four pieces of one set to get both bonuses from the same set plus one Exotic slot.
    • All armor — raid, dungeon, Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, SRL, and destination — received new or updated sets. There are 56 total armor sets with bonuses.
    • All armor can reach Tier 5. All post-Edge of Fate Exotic armor is automatically Tier 5. No re-farming required.
    • The ability cooldown stat cap dropped from 190% to 125% in this update, which makes set bonuses that provide survivability or ammo economy more valuable than pure stat stacking.

Destiny 2 armor set bonuses were introduced as part of Armor 3.0 with the Monument of Triumph update. This is the game’s final live-service content update, launched June 9, 2026. Every armor set across all activities now has a 2-piece and a 4-piece set bonus, and the system has completely changed how builds work. This guide covers every set bonus in the game by category.

Don’t own a console? No problem — you can play this via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

How Destiny 2 Armor Set Bonuses Work

Set bonuses are always active. You do not need to do anything to turn them on. If you have the required number of pieces equipped from the same set, the bonus is live.

    • 2-piece bonus: Equip any two armor pieces from the same set.
    • 4-piece bonus: Equip any four pieces from the same set. This also keeps the 2-piece bonus active.

You have five armor slots: Helmet, Gauntlets, Chest, Legs, and Class Item. One of those is typically used for your Exotic. That leaves four slots. You have two build paths:

    • Single-set path: Four matching armor pieces in the non-Exotic slots. You get both the 2-piece and 4-piece bonus from one set.
    • Dual-set path: Two pieces from one set and two pieces from another. You get the 2-piece bonus from each set. No 4-piece bonus from either, but two different effects running at once.

Note: the Ferropotent Armor Set is a Vanguard-accessible set used as Bungie’s example in their official FAQ — wearing two pieces activates its Rapid Repair 2-piece perk. This shows how accessible the system is from the start.

All Raid Armor Set Bonuses in Destiny 2

Every raid received refreshed armor with new Tier ratings and set bonuses in 2026. Here are all 12 raid sets.

    Destiny 2 Armor Set Bonuses

    Last Wish — Great Hunt

    • 2-piece (Taken Barrier): Grenade final blows temporarily reduce incoming damage.
    • 4-piece (Taken Armaments): Grenade final blows grant additional Heavy ammo progress.

Garden of Salvation — Kentarch 3

    • 2-piece (Network Admin): Being near allies creates a relay network that gives improved handling and reload speed. Being near other players with Network Admin gives a bonus to Health stat.
    • 4-piece (Network Upload): Weapon final blows grant the wearer and nearby allies melee energy.

Deep Stone Crypt — Legacy’s Oath

    • 2-piece (Augmented Servos): Powered melees release an additional disorienting pulse when used to defeat a target.
    • 4-piece (God-Like Judgment): When your shields are broken by a combatant, or when you cast your Super, release a swarm of heat-seeking micro-missiles.

Vault of Glass — Atheon’s Memory

    • 2-piece (Radiolaria Breach): After picking up an Orb of Power, the next time your shields are broken, gain a bonus to Health stat for a short duration and release a burst of radiolaria around you.
    • 4-piece (Collective Power): While you have a subclass buff active, dealing sustained damage creates an Orb of Power.

Vow of the Disciple — Resonant Fury

    • 2-piece (Resonant Plating): Your health begins regenerating immediately after taking melee damage from a powerful combatant.
    • 4-piece (Siphoning Touch): Gain stacks of Siphoning Touch from weapon or Glaive melee hits. Switching weapons heals you and consumes all stacks.

    King’s Fall — Oryx’s Memory

    • 2-piece (Iron Sharpens Iron): Final blows on Guardians and powerful combatants generate additional ammo progress.
    • 4-piece (Ascendant Escape): After a final blow on a powerful combatant, the next time your shields are broken, you become invisible.

Root of Nightmares — Nezarec’s Nightmare

    • 2-piece (Bad Dreams): Final blows against subclass-debuffed targets have an escalating chance to spawn an Orb of Power.
    • 4-piece (Dream-Devourer): Performing a finisher on a powerful combatant grants Devour. While Devour is active, gain damage resistance versus combatants.

    Crota’s End — Crota’s Memory

    • 2-piece (Cursed Fist): Melee final blows trigger a Cursed Thrall explosion.
    • 4-piece (Power of the Son): Being in combat for a duration grants progressively more flinch resistance and damage resistance versus combatants.

    Salvation’s Edge — Promised

    • 2-piece (Stable Resonance): Defeating a powerful combatant generates Stable Resonance, granting damage resistance and increased weapon damage for the duration.
    • 4-piece (Resonance Redirection): While Stable Resonance is active, continued weapon damage occasionally generates a resonance burst that damages and exhausts targets.

The Desert Perpetual — Collective Psyche

    • 2-piece (Accretion): Picking up an ammo brick gives a stacking bonus to weapon swap and stow speeds until you die.
    • 4-piece (Doppler Effect): Suspend, unravel, and sever effects on targets, plus radiant and restoration effects on you, have increased duration.

The Desert Perpetual (Epic) — Wayward Psyche

    • 2-piece (Special Relativity): Picking up ammo reloads stowed Special weapons from reserves.
    • 4-piece (Superluminal Motion): After dealing damage with your Super, health and shields regenerate over time while you are moving. Additional Super damage refreshes this effect.

    Pantheon — Pantheos Resplendent

    • 2-piece (Well Prepared): Picking up ammo grants Armor Charge. Grants a bonus to Health stat per Armor Charge stack you have.
    • 4-piece (Down the Line): Sustained damage on minibosses, Champions, and bosses increases weapon damage against base and powerful combatants. Weapon final blows consume one stack each.

The Pantheon set is the only raid-adjacent set that requires Pantheon runs specifically to farm — not a standard raid. It is strong for endgame content where sustained boss damage and ammo management matter.

All Dungeon Armor Set Bonuses in Destiny 2

All 11 dungeons received refreshed armor with Armor 3.0 set bonuses. Several previously missing sets — Warlord’s Ruin, Vesper’s Host, Sundered Doctrine, and Equilibrium — are included below for the complete picture.

    Shattered Throne — Techeun’s Regalia

    • 2-piece (Queensfoil Rush): Gain a powerful overshield while performing your finisher. When you finish a target, release a slowing burst around you.
    • 4-piece (Truth to Power): Gain increasing damage resistance when you deal damage or land final blows. Finishers grant accelerated progress. At max stacks, ability recharge rate is also increased.

Pit of Heresy — Apostate’s Blade

    • 2-piece (Regenerative Threshold): Performing a finisher stores power. The next time your shields are broken, consume stored power to immediately heal and start health regeneration.
    • 4-piece (Melee Conduction): While you have Radiant, Restoration, or Cure, your melee hits release a burst that scorches the target.

    Prophecy — CODA

    • 2-piece (Between Poles): Final blows with Light weapons grant Light Polarity stacks (Grenade stat). Final blows with Darkness or Kinetic weapons grant Dark Polarity stacks (Melee stat).
    • 4-piece (So Very Thin): Light weapon final blows grant grenade energy. Darkness or Kinetic weapon final blows grant melee energy. Alternating rapidly between Light and Darkness kills grants a short period of damage resistance.

Grasp of Avarice — Yearning Echo

    • 2-piece (Untold Greed): Picking up ammo, Orbs of Power, Elemental pickups, or destroying a Strand Tangle grants stacks of Untold Greed, slightly reducing damage taken and providing reload speed to equipped weapons. When your shields are broken, some stacks are lost.
    • 4-piece (Overflowing Coffers): While Untold Greed stacks are active, Orbs of Power and Elemental pickups provide more of their respective energy, and Strand Tangles deal increased damage. When your shields are broken, all stacks are converted into a fountain of Orbs of Power.

    Duality — Deep Explorer

    • 2-piece (Built Bitter): Taking damage increases the reload speed of your equipped weapon until it is stowed. Taking more damage increases the effect further.
    • 4-piece (Bittersweet): When you stow a weapon, restore health based on the number of Built Bitter stacks lost.

Spire of the Watcher — TM Custom

    • 2-piece (Old Martian Diplomacy): Stowing a weapon after defeating a powerful combatant or Guardian heals you slightly and disorients nearby combatants.
    • 4-piece (High Noon): Freshly drawn weapons deal increased precision damage for a short period. Weapons with the Tex Balanced Stock Origin Trait or Exotics manufactured by the Tex Mechanica Foundry gain further increased benefits.

Ghosts of the Deep — Taken King

    • 2-piece (The Ceremony): Finishing combatants or reviving allies initiates a Lucent Hive ritual. While the ritual is active, gain increased Super stat.
    • 4-piece (Lucent Swarm): Collecting Orbs of Power extends the Ceremony. While it is active, ability final blows occasionally spawn allied Arc moths.

    Warlord’s Ruin — Dark Age

    • 2-piece (Taking Initiative): Hitting combatants with melee attacks or Sword strikes grants a stack of Initiative, giving bonus handling and reload speed. Stacks decay slowly over time.
    • 4-piece (Healing Initiative): While you have Initiative stacks, using your class ability creates a stationary healing aura. The aura gains increased healing based on the number of Initiative stacks.

    Vesper’s Host — Spacewalk

    • 2-piece (Augmented Armaments): Primary ammo weapons deal increased damage to disoriented combatants.
    • 4-piece (Augmented Explosives): Your grenade abilities release an additional disorienting pulse shortly after detonating.

    Sundered Doctrine — Flain

    • 2-piece (Sinew Stitching): Taking damage from combatants sometimes spawns a Threadling.
    • 4-piece (Knit Together): For a short time after your shields break, your next several Threadling hits restore health.

    Equilibrium — Sage Protector

    • 2-piece (Combat Meditation): Sword hits return grenade and class ability energy. Bonus energy is granted if Blade Focus is active.
    • 4-piece (Blade Focus): Briefly guard with a Sword to ready Blade Focus. While Blade Focus is readied, hitting a target with your Sword increases Sword damage and lunge distance for a moderate duration.

The Sage Protector set from Equilibrium is the top pick for dedicated Sword builds. The 4-piece Blade Focus bonus increases Sword damage and lunge distance directly, while the 2-piece feeds grenade and class ability energy on every hit — making it self-sustaining in sustained melee loops.

All Vanguard Ops Armor Set Bonuses in Destiny 2

Two sets are available through Vanguard and general activity pools. The Seventh Seraph set is the primary Warmind-stacking set, built around Solar abilities and Warmind-adjacent weapons. The Ferropotent set is a broadly useful survivability set available to all players early.

    Seventh Seraph (Vanguard / Cosmodrome)

    • 2-piece (Rasputin’s Wrath): Final blows with area-of-effect damage, Solar abilities, Seventh Seraph weapons, or IKELOS weapons grant Warmind Charges. Each stack increases your Weapons and Grenade stats.
    • 4-piece (Rasputin’s Reprisal): While you have Warmind Charges, defeating powerful combatants, destroying a construct, or destroying a Tangle releases a Solar detonation that damages combatants and heals allies. Constructs include barricades, turrets, and Stasis crystals.

    Ferropotent

    • 2-piece (Rapid Repair): When your shields begin regenerating, gain flinch resistance and damage resistance for a short time.
    • 4-piece (Built from Scratch): While your ammo reserves are low, weapon final blows generate ammo progress based on ammo type. Primary ammo weapons boost Special ammo progress, and Special ammo weapons boost Heavy ammo progress.

All Crucible Armor Set Bonuses in Destiny 2

Crucible has two sets — the new Triumphal Anthem set from general Portal activities (built around slide mechanics), and the Per Audacia set earned through Glory-ranked Crucible matches (built around primary weapon chains and mobility). A third set, New Demotic, is exclusive to Trials of Osiris challenges.

    Triumphal Anthem (Portal Activities)

    • 2-piece (Scoot to Loot): Sliding collects nearby ammo and temporarily grants enhanced reload speed and handling to your weapons.
    • 4-piece (Shoot to Scoot): Dealing damage with your weapons temporarily grants enhanced sliding. Sliding provides damage resistance.

Per Audacia (Glory Matches in Crucible)

    • 2-piece (Primary Chain): Primary ammo weapon final blows grant a stacking bonus to mobility and Primary weapon range and handling until you are defeated.
    • 4-piece (Sublime Transit): Increases mobility and grants enhanced sprint speed and slide distance.

    Cruel Electrum (Trials of Osiris)

    • 2-piece (Primary Survivor): When an ally is defeated, Primary ammo weapons gain increased handling, reload speed, target acquisition, and reduced flinch. Bonus increases when multiple allies are dead at the same time or when you are running solo.
    • 4-piece (Primary Phantom): Final blows with Primary ammo weapons remove you from radar for a short time. Drawing a weapon that does not use Primary ammo will immediately end this effect.

New Demotic (Trials of Osiris Challenges)

    • 2-piece (Paroli): Primary ammo weapons gain a bonus to flinch resistance after sliding.
    • 4-piece (Martingale): Your weapons gain a temporary increase to handling and aim-down-sights speed when an ally is defeated or you revive an ally.

All Gambit Armor Set Bonuses in Destiny 2

Gambit received its own dedicated armor set for the first time in Monument of Triumph. The Cyberserpent Null set is built around kill pressure and ammo generation — exactly what Gambit rewards.

    Cyberserpent Null (Gambit Ops)

    • 2-piece (Adrenal Rush): Sprinting for a short time grants a period of improved reload speed and handling. Final blows extend this period.
    • 4-piece (Bountiful Munitions): While Adrenal Rush is active, final blows grant Special Ammo progress. Final blows against powerful combatants, Guardians, and Taken grant additional progress.

The Gambit Ops reward pool is now fully separate from Crucible, Vanguard, and other activity pools. Farm Gambit specifically if this set is your target. Use Bonus Focus to target specific armor slots and avoid duplicate Gauntlets.

Iron Banner Armor Set Bonuses in Destiny 2

Iron Banner received two distinct sets under Armor 3.0, both focused on Primary weapon performance and reward aggressive play in both PvP and PvE.

    Iron Battalion

    • 2-piece (Primary Honing): Increases handling and reload speed for Primary ammo weapons. Primary ammo weapons gain increased damage against non-boss combatants based on your Weapons stat.
    • 4-piece (Supercyclical): Final blows while your Super is active refund Super energy when it ends.

    Iron Panoply

    • 2-piece (Vigilant Watch): As your health gets lower, your weapons gain increased stability and handling. Weapon final blows while your shields are depleted heal you.
    • 4-piece (Iron Conviction): When your shields become broken, you gain increased ammo generation, flinch resistance, and damage resistance against nearby combatants for a short time. Final blows extend this effect.

Sparrow Racing League Armor Set Bonus in Destiny 2

Sparrow Racing League returned as a permanent activity in Monument of Triumph with its own Armor 3.0 set. The Circuit set rewards high-speed movement, feeding directly into the SRL playstyle.

    Circuit (Sparrow Racing League)

    • 2-piece (Revving Up): Fast movement builds up a charge that gradually increases your health regeneration speed. Once Fully Revved, sprinting grants Speed Booster.
    • 4-piece (Dielectric Drift): Sliding while Speed Booster is active jolts combatants in front of you.

Destination Armor Set Bonuses in Destiny 2

Destination and world armor sets received full Armor 3.0 updates. Several carry strong niche bonuses worth noting for specific playstyles. This is a selection of the most relevant and frequently farmed sets.

all destinations world armor set bonuses in destiny 2
all destinations world armor set bonuses in destiny 2

    Dreambane (Moon)

    • 2-piece (Nightmarish Power): Final blows on a challenging combatant or higher grant Unstable Essence. When you have Unstable Essence, you receive grenade and melee stat bonuses.
    • 4-piece (Nightmarish Resilience): When you have Unstable Essence, rapid weapon damage or final blows heal you and begin health regeneration.

    Crystocrene (Europa)

    • 2-piece (Resupply): After being out of combat for a moderate duration, your next final blow grants additional ammo progress and creates an Orb of Power.
    • 4-piece (From the Storm): After being out of combat for a moderate duration, slowly gain Frost Armor until you reenter combat.

    Thunderhead (Neomuna)

    • 2-piece (License to Thrill): Activating your grenade or the Nanotech Tracer Missiles Origin Trait provides stacking resistance to incoming damage at point-blank range.
    • 4-piece (Lethal Weave): Defeating an unraveled combatant grants grenade ability energy. If you have max grenade energy, you are granted Special ammo meter progress instead.

    First Ascent (Pale Heart)

    • 2-piece (Stack ‘Em Up): Defeating targets with unique elemental damage grants a stacking bonus to Transcendence energy gains while Transcendence is inactive.
    • 4-piece (Burn ‘Em Down): While Transcendence is active, using your grenade ability consumes all stacks of Stack ‘Em Up to grant an escalating amount of grenade energy.

    Reverie Dawn (Dreaming City)

    • 2-piece (A Wish for Protection): Taking significant damage in a short time generates a Protective Wish that makes it harder for combatants to hit you and grants increased reload speed and flinch resistance.
    • 4-piece (A Wish Fulfilled): When the Protective Wish expires, it cures you. Rapid final blows prematurely end the Protective Wish.

    Veritas (Throne World)

    • 2-piece (Lucent Transmutation): Performing a finisher on a combatant, or landing successive powered melee final blows, generates an Elemental pickup based on your Light subclass.
    • 4-piece (Lucent Tithes): Performing a finisher on powerful combatants heals you and generates loyal Void moths.

    Exodus Down (Nessus)

    • 2-piece (Emergency Electromagnet): When your shields become broken, collect all nearby Orbs of Power and ammo bricks.
    • 4-piece (Repurposed Charge): Whenever you gain, lose, or spend an Armor Charge, heal and gain damage reduction for a short time. This effect scales with the amount of Armor Charge gained, lost, or spent.

    Wildwood (EDZ)

    • 2-piece (Watchtower): Precision final blows while aiming down sights grant damage resistance until you stop aiming down sights.
    • 4-piece (Field Expertise): Precision final blows with any weapon grant a stacking bonus to reload speed, target acquisition, and weapon damage against non-boss combatants for a short duration. Weapon final blows with non-precision direct hits end this effect early.

Tips for Building Around Armor Set Bonuses in 2026

    • The cooldown stat cap is now 125%, down from 190%. Builds that stacked a single stat like Discipline to 100 with nothing else are now penalized. Spread your stats more intelligently and let set bonuses carry survivability.
    • Ghost mods now have a 1-in-2 archetype probability, improved from 1-in-3. If you know which armor archetype works best with your Exotic, slot the matching Ghost mod before farming and the odds get much better.
    • Mix two 2-piece bonuses if the individual 4-piece bonus from a single set does not fit your build. You lose the 4-piece effect but gain two separate passive bonuses alongside your Exotic. The Ferropotent 2-piece (Rapid Repair) pairs well with almost anything as a defensive anchor.
    • The Pantheon set (Down the Line) is excellent for sustained boss damage but requires running Pantheon to farm — not a standard raid encounter. The 4-piece stacks weapon damage during boss encounters, which pairs well with high-damage weapons.
    • For solo play, sets with built-in healing on stow, finisher overshields, or health regeneration on melee damage — Resonant Fury, Duality’s Deep Explorer, Pit of Heresy’s Apostate’s Blade, and Root of Nightmares’ Nezarec’s Nightmare — are the safest choices without a fireteam to revive you. Nezarec’s Nightmare 4-piece in particular can provide near-permanent damage resistance if you can maintain Devour.
    • For fireteam play, Garden of Salvation’s Kentarch 3 (Network Admin) and Vow of the Disciple’s Resonant Fury (Siphoning Touch) both reward proximity to allies and weapon-switching in group scenarios.
    • The Sage Protector set from Equilibrium is the top pick for Sword-focused builds, providing energy on every hit and increasing Sword damage via the 4-piece Blade Focus bonus. Pair with a high-damage Sword Exotic for the most benefit.
