Darkest Depths is a secret triumph in the Exotic Missions category of the Monument of Triumph triumph tab. It requires you to complete the entire Oblation mission series — all three parts back to back — on the Legendary/Master difficulty version within a 30-minute timer.

It is not the same as simply interacting with the Hive book in the Catacombs. That interaction unlocks the timed mode. Completing that timed mode is what awards the triumph itself.

Step 2: Navigate to the Catacombs

Once inside the Circle of Bones, the Catacombs entrance is on your right. Look for a large lantern on the right wall and go past it — do not take the door below it. Hug the railing along the mouth of the Circle of Bones until you find a hole in the wall on the right. Follow it in.

If you get turned around, press Tab (PC) or the map button (console) to see an Exotic mission marker. Follow it. The path is linear once you are in the tunnels — keep descending and moving forward.

Step 3: Cross the Bridge to the Oblation Book

At the end of the Catacombs, you will reach a large open area. Stand on the Hive ritual plate to summon a bridge across a gap. Walk across the bridge. On the far side, you will see the Oblation book resting on a Hive pedestal in the center of the area.

Interact with the book. This registers your access to the Legendary difficulty variant and adds the Oblation Exotic Mission’s “Customize” option in the Director.

How to Launch the Secret Timed Oblation Gauntlet

After interacting with the book, open your Director and navigate to the Oblation Exotic Mission on the Moon. Click it and select “Customize.” Inside the Customize menu, you will see an option labeled “Oblation” — this is the timed Legendary variant.

Selecting it launches all three missions — Bloodline, Soulfed, and Immolation — as one continuous gauntlet with Legendary modifiers active and a 30-minute countdown timer visible in the activity HUD. The first Immolation worm is found immediately after the broken bridge section, hugging the right wall through the Hive tunnels. Worm #9 is the most critical. It only spawns after the final boss chest opens at the end of Immolation. Look for a crack in the wall near the final boss arena leading to a hidden area.
