The Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Winter Festival Playlist is now live. It runs from June 4 to June 11, 2026, and it is the third of four seasonal weeks in Series 1: Welcome to Japan. Two new reward cars are available this week, and the clock is ticking. If you want both, you need to move fast. This guide covers every reward, every point threshold, how the playlist works, and what to do first.

Forza Horizon 6 is available on Forza.net, Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.

What Is the Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 6?

The Festival Playlist is FH6’s live service challenge system. It unlocks once you earn your first Yellow Wristband, which takes around an hour of normal play. After that, you can access it from the Campaign tab in the pause menu or from inside any Player House.

Each Series lasts four weeks and follows the seasonal order: Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. Every week has its own set of challenges, two seasonal reward cars, and a fresh batch of daily tasks. Points you earn count toward both the current week’s rewards and the larger series-wide totals. Nothing is wasted.

Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Winter Season – Dates and Overview

The Winter season of Series 1: Welcome to Japan runs from June 4 to June 11, 2026. The season resets at 14:30 UTC every Thursday. After June 11, the playlist flips to Spring, and any Winter-exclusive rewards are gone until they cycle back in a future series.

This is Week 3 of Series 1. Summer ran from May 21 to May 28. Autumn followed from May 28 to June 4. Spring closes things out on June 18, when Series 2: Horizon Decades takes over.

Forza Horizon 6 Winter Festival Playlist – Reward Cars

There are two seasonal reward cars up for grabs this week. Both are time-gated, which means if you miss the Winter window, you will have to wait for them to cycle back in a future series or pick them up from the Auction House.

  • 2019 Subaru STI S209 – Earn 20 points during the Winter season
  • 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 – Earn 40 points during the Winter season

The Subaru STI S209 is an American-market limited edition of the WRX STI, built specifically for the US. Only 209 units were made in real life. It is a genuine rally-tuned machine with a 341 hp boxer engine, and it fits perfectly with the Winter theme. Getting it at just 20 points makes it one of the easier seasonal cars to unlock in all of Series 1.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 is a lifted, expedition-ready off-road build based on the famous Land Cruiser platform. The AT37 designation refers to its massive 37-inch tyres. At 40 points, it takes a bit more effort but is still very achievable in a single week of regular play.

Both cars are solid picks for different styles of play. The Subaru suits road and dirt racing, while the Land Cruiser suits cross-country and off-road events. If you want more options for dirt, check out our best off-road and dirt cars guide.

Series 1 Full Rewards – All Seasons at a Glance

Here is a quick breakdown of all Season 1 reward cars so you know what you have already collected and what is still ahead:

  • Summer (May 21–28): 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z Edition (20 PTS), 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR (40 PTS)
  • Autumn (May 28–June 4): 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (20 PTS), 1991 Honda CR-X SiR (40 PTS)
  • Winter (June 4–11): 2019 Subaru STI S209 (20 PTS), 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 (40 PTS)
  • Spring (June 11–18): 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V (20 PTS), 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 (40 PTS)
  • Series-wide at 60 PTS: 2008 Mazda Furai
  • Series-wide at 120 PTS: 2010 Nissan 370Z

The 2008 Mazda Furai is powered by a modified 450 hp 20B three-rotor Wankel engine. It is making its Forza Horizon debut here after appearing in Forza Motorsport. At 60 total series points, it is well within reach if you play each week consistently. To see all cars in the game sorted by class, see our complete FH6 car list by class.

How to Earn Points in the Winter Playlist

Points in FH6 come from several types of activities. Every point you earn this week counts toward both your Winter season total and your full Series 1 total. Here is what is available:

Seasonal Championships

These are the biggest single point sources each week. Each season has three Seasonal Championships. You need to finish first in a three-race series to win. You can run them solo against Unbeatable Drivatars or in co-op with friends. Each championship gives 5 points and awards a bonus car on completion. Always check the car class restriction before jumping in so you do not waste time with the wrong vehicle.

For help choosing the right car, see our guides on the best cars for every class and the best R Class cars in FH6.

Weekly Challenge

Each week focuses on a specific car. You must complete four chapters in order using that car. Finishing all four rewards 5 Festival Points plus credits. The car is usually a starter-tier vehicle that most players already own or can buy cheaply. Previous weeks used the Toyota GR86 in Summer and the Nissan Silvia K’s in Autumn, so expect a similar Japanese icon this week.

For help with Car Mastery and unlocking perks on your weekly challenge car, see our Car Mastery and Skill Trees guide.

Daily Challenges

Seven daily challenges unlock one per day at 14:30 UTC. Each one gives 1 point and 5,000 credits. You do not have to complete them on the day they unlock. They stay available for the whole week, so you can stack them in a single session if that suits your schedule. Over the full week, dailies add up to 7 points — a meaningful chunk toward hitting the 20-point threshold.

Photo Challenge

Each week has one Photo Challenge worth 2 points. In Autumn, the photo was at Tokyo Tower. For Winter, the photo challenge is expected to be outside a stadium. Simply use Horizon Promo mode to snap a shot at the marked location. It is one of the fastest points you can earn all week — usually done in under two minutes.

Check our Photo Mode guide and best locations for tips on getting the shot right.

Treasure Hunt

Each season brings a new Treasure Hunt in a different part of the Japan map. Completing it gives 3 points and 100,000 credits. The in-game clue will point you toward the region. In Autumn, the hunt was in the Minamino region. For Winter, a new area of the map is used. If you are not sure where to look, buying the Treasure Map from the Autoshow shows the chest location directly on your map.

For past Treasure Hunt guides, see our Minamino Region Treasure Hunt guide and the Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt guide.

PR Stunts

PR Stunts include Speed Traps, Speed Zones, Danger Signs, and Trailblazers scattered across the Japan map. Each gives 2 to 3 points on completion. They are great for stacking points alongside championships. For help hitting the toughest ones, check out our PR Stunts guide and our picks for the best cars for Speed Traps and Speed Zones.

Monthly Rivals

Monthly Rivals is a time trial event on a specific circuit. Simply setting a time earns you points — you do not need to beat anyone. It is one of the easiest point sources in the whole playlist and carries over across all four weeks of the series.

Touge Battles and Online Events

Touge Battles and multiplayer events like Stunt Party and Horizon Arcade can also award playlist points in certain weeks. These are fun bonuses but not always the fastest route to your point target. For more on Touge racing in Japan, see our guides on the best cars for Touge Battles and our Touge Battle mode complete guide.

How Many Points Are Available in Winter?

Based on the structure from the previous two seasons, Winter offers around 45 to 50 points in total. The previous Autumn season had up to 48 points available. You only need 40 to unlock both reward cars, so most players will hit both thresholds comfortably without needing to complete every single activity.

If you want the absolute fastest path to 20 points, do this:

  • Complete the Photo Challenge (2 PTS) — takes two minutes
  • Finish the Treasure Hunt (3 PTS) — takes five to ten minutes
  • Complete the Weekly Challenge with the featured car (5 PTS)
  • Win one or two Seasonal Championships (5 PTS each)
  • Stack your Daily Challenges (up to 7 PTS across the week)

That gets you past 20 points without touching every event. To push for 40, add two more championships and one or two PR Stunts.

Series-Wide Progress – Don’t Forget the Furai and 370Z

Winter is the penultimate week of Series 1. If you are aiming for the 2008 Mazda Furai (60 PTS total) or the 2010 Nissan 370Z (120 PTS total), this week is critical.

The 120-point target for the 370Z is roughly a third of all points available across the full series. That means you need to play every week and complete a solid mix of activities consistently. Skipping Winter hurts your chances significantly.

If you are behind on series points, do not panic. Up to 45–50 points are available this week alone. Push hard on championships, knock out all your dailies, and the series rewards are still very reachable going into Spring.

What If You Miss the Winter Rewards?

Missing a seasonal reward car is frustrating but not the end of the world. FH6 introduced several ways to soften the blow compared to Forza Horizon 5.

Missed cars may return later through Series History Rewards — a new system in FH6 that lets you earn cars from past series by accumulating points across multiple months. Some cars also cycle into the Aftermarket Cars system on the map at fixed locations where you can buy them with regular credits. Others may appear on the Auction House from other players.

For more on the Auction House and how to get cars others are selling, check out our Auction House guide.

Quick Tips for the Winter Playlist

  • Do the Photo Challenge first. It is the easiest 2 points in the whole season. Do it the moment the season opens.
  • Check the car class restriction before every championship. Showing up with the wrong car wastes a full run.
  • Stack your daily challenges. You do not need to log in every day. You can clear all seven on the last day if needed.
  • Use the Treasure Map if you are lost. It costs a small amount of credits but saves a lot of time finding the chest.
  • Seasonal points only count during the active week. Points earned in Winter do not unlock the Winter cars if the season has already changed. Earn them before June 11 at 14:30 UTC.
  • Combine challenges where possible. A championship run can tick off daily challenges at the same time if the conditions overlap.

What’s Coming in Spring – Week 4 Preview

After Winter ends on June 11, the playlist moves into its final week: Spring. The two Spring reward cars are the 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V at 20 points and the 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 at 40 points. The Starlet Glanza V will make its Forza debut, which makes it one of the more exciting seasonal cars of the whole series.

After Spring ends on June 18, Series 1: Welcome to Japan wraps up and Series 2: Horizon Decades begins. If you still need points for the Mazda Furai or the Nissan 370Z, Spring is your last chance. Use the Winter week to build as big a series total as possible before that final reset.

Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 Winter Playlist – Final Summary

The Winter season is the third and second-to-last week of Series 1: Welcome to Japan. Two solid cars are up for grabs: the Subaru STI S209 at 20 points and the Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 at 40 points. Both are achievable in a few hours of focused play.

More importantly, this week is a major opportunity to stack series points toward the Mazda Furai and Nissan 370Z. Do not let it pass. Complete your dailies, run the championships, grab the Treasure Hunt and Photo Challenge, and you will be in great shape heading into the final Spring season.
